President Hasley stepped out of his car to adress the people on the lowering of taxes. and then, a shot rang out. within an instant Hasley was dead. the man who shot him was now on the loose. the now acting President Jonathan Cargill adressed the public today "we have lost a great man. a man who persued freedom, democracy and liberty. it is my duty to continue his dreams and continue to serve this country well. from now forth Cazelia will be increasing it's health care and education budgets and lowering funds from the police and military" Cazelia will be holding it's elections next month.

It was a busy time for the Praetor and his staff in the weeks running up to the invasion. Cazelia appeared in crisis, wracked by problems from within and without, and their allies were no doubt ill-prepared for a major action in the region. One night, at a private dinner in the Praetorial Palace, the Praetor spoke with his Minister of State, the legendary Valerian Koysachenko. Now over 100 years old, he hardly looked over 50 thanks to massive advances in anti-aging treatments and other medical progress in Vetalia.

As usual, an aide walked in bearing a pink emergency communique and handed it to the Praetor.

"Hmm, it appears the President of Cazelia has been assassinated by an unknown gunman. I guess someone simply wasn't pleased with the leadership of the government and decided to strike. What do you make of this, Valerian Sergeyevich?"

"It is terrible news for his family, of course, but a strategic windfall for us! Their leadership will be disoriented and unprepared for our strike, and we will be able to take the initiative and move in with little resistance. Personally, I think we should keep an eye on the situation and wait to see who takes the helm...by and large, I can't think of anyone who could lead like Hasley."

"Neither can I. Well, I suppose we'll send our condolences...no doubt they're getting a little suspicious over there with all the events here in Vetalia."
"Of course. 'Beware Vetalians bearing gifts, eh Ivan?"

Cazelia was seventeen thousand kilometers off the coast of the nearest Conquest beach. Twelve Conquest Hercules, packed with a thousand troops, nine hundred of which were cannon fodder, packed with a large armorment and entrenchment tools.

They would be dropped just outside Cazelia's national waters and with their personnel floatation devices they could make the long journey to the Cazelian coast line. While the other hundred would do their other duty. The planes took off from their base in Conqestos, to their destination.

Nine hundred men drop from their aircraft, there parachutes floating them softly to the ground. The men splashed around for a bit, fourteen nearly sinking as they used their personnel floating devices, similiar to small rafts with small mortars propelling them together as they head towards the Cazelian shore.

A combat reported, James Gale, used his HD Paledine Video Recorder to capture the small invasion. The eerie order of the mayhem. The fleet of blue rafts, that mysteroiusly blended into the surrounded seas. The yells of sergeants to their squads as they connect each other with high-fiber nylon ropes. Men checking their rifles, leaders ordering their men on the combat.

Secretly in Cazelia's Nieghboring Country

One hundred men are dropped just outside Cazelia's borders. They are equipped four recon jeeps packed in the two extra Hercules. There is no combat reported in this lot of highly-trained elite troops, as they moved into their enemy's border. Sneaking in, not attempting to make a fuss with any of the border guards.

We shall move our carrier battle group 6 towards Cazelia, ready to fight any nation that dares harm it, we know that they are annoying as well as you are, but your reasons for wanting them to be wiped out bogus. And if any of you should invade our nation, we have the NPE, and some of the UFAN, nations behind our backs too..

On the bridge of the R.C.S George Washington Aircraft carrier:

Admiral Gregorvitch was examining maps of Cazelia, trying to figure out how to posistion his fleet, and the Air Wing Commander Harry Arnold was figuring out where to strike, Adm.Gregor spoke up, "Harry, do you think that some UFAN members might become directly involved in this affair?"

Harry looked up from his chair and sighed "It is more then likely Admiral that they will, hopefully some of them will assist us, because we have some intel on Cazelia. They didn't declare war on anyone this time, we know that, otherwise why would we be helping them?"

Admiral Gregor said "That is what I thought, and if British Londinium gets involved.., it's going to be a nightmare, Harry, launch some SU-27N's as recon jets..."

Harry nodded and ran off to tell his pilots, soon after that two SU-27 Flankers started, and flew off the deck, and flew to the south towards Cazelia...

OOC: During World War II, Norway, a population with just under 5 million... had a military that managed to hold off the German blitzkrieg longer than nations with more military personal than Norway's entire population.

Numbers and starter dates don't mean much if you're a good tactician and have a good civil defense force. You're not too old of a nation yourself and don't have a great military track record.
