The Complete and Total Annihilation of NPE Headquarters

Deserted Territories
05-08-2007, 15:26
On CA occupied Barokin, where Deserted Territories and Maldorian positions have gone unchallenged for a week now, forces were mobilizing on the western shore.

500 MA-3 Wolverine's could be seen moving from a field of V-29 Pelicans and spreading their deadly arsenal along the shore. Each carried 16 HE Surface-to-Surface missles, and 50 V-22 Ospreys were landing behind them filled with more loads of ammo.

General "Rocketman" Jacobs stood at the end of the line first looking out to sea to the far off island that held the headquarters for the NPE, and then down the line of Wolverines that strech equally far untill they were lost to the curve of the shore.

As he did this, the first DT fleet that had aided in the landing of the troops moved into position between Barokin and the NPE headquarters, keeping their massive guns in range.

At that time, 100 F-35 Linghting II's approached the NPE headquarters from the west, streaking east to unload their payload of 2 500lbs. JDAM and 1 1000lbs. JDAM each. Another 50 F-35's stayed on Barokin to run air superiority over the Wolverines.

With everything in place, General Jacobs had only to speak a single word and all hell would break loose in the NPE headquarters.

Jacobs pulled the mic up to his lips and spoke.

The Wolverines sent 8,000 HE Surface-to-Surface missles screaming towards the island, and the entire first DT fleet opened up:
15 CG-47 Ticonderoga Class Cruiser
14 DE-3 Vanguard Class Destroyer
10 Charon class firgates
5 Pacitalia class Galleons
12 Bismark class Battleships

The 100 F-35's altered their course to drop their bombs after the initial bombardment, while the Wolverines and ships were reloading.

If the High Command of the Deserted Territories thought the Wanderjarian OKW fools, they would be sadly mistaken. This force was long since detected by the heavy aerial patrols and radar sites assembled throughout the region. Hundreds of Wanderjarian Su-47 Berkut fighters took to the skies, and the dozens already in combat air patrols throughout the region targeted as many enemy aircraft as they could with their AA21MS BVR ATA missiles.

"Red Flight, this is Red Flight Leader," Called one of the numerous patrol flight commanders, "All boxes away!"

"Roger Flight Lead, this is Red-2, Box one away."

"Roger Flight Lead, Red-3, Box one away." Hundreds of such missiles were directed at the enemy bombers, while hundreds more were scrambling and would be in the air within minutes. Meanwhile, below, anti-aircraft batteries, SAM silos, AAA sites, and SA-2 wielding soldiers waited patiently for the chance to strike. Hundreds of SAM Batteriesand the AAA sites were armed and ready, and once the hostile forces made the fatal mistake of crossing into their armament range, a glorious slaughter would ensue, killing all and leaving none alive.

"All Flights this is OKW-Luftwaffe," The Base Commander relayed over the comm systems, "No mercy! No remorse! Kill them all!"

(OOC: Hey mate, what exactly are the wolverines firing? Missiles I'm guessing? I'll respond once I'm sure, thanks :))

Looking down at his radar screen, the lead F-35 of the bombing formation spoke into his mike, "Missle strike will hit in 15 seconds, get ready to drop tho-" his eyes hurt for a moment as they adjusted to the red glare that suddenly spat out of his radar. He was about to swear when a radar operator on one of the far off carriers radioed to him:
"FB flight 1, multiple enemy fighters moving on your position. Multiple radars opening up on target site. Multiple anti-air missles moving on your position. Advise abort."

The lead pilot radioed to his formation, "Activate TALON defense systems and take evasive maneuvers, aborting bombing run, move to engaged enemy fighters, we have the advantage." TALON defense systems on all 100 of the f-35's activated and 3 TALONs from each plane streaked towards the incoming missles. Then the F-35's split, scattering in all directions, but making an overall effort to gain altitude and the advantage on the incoming Berkuts while bearing away from the NPE headquarters.

300 hundred TALONs collided with the hundreds of AA21MS BVR ATA missiles, taking out more than 270 of them, the rest flew into the DT formation, which with its evasive manuevers and chaff suffered 32 planes instantly destroyed with another 6 flaming out and slowly sinking to the sea.

The remaining 62 F-35's reformed and dived at the Berkuts taking off, unloading 2 AIM-9 sidewinders each.

Back on Barokin the Wolverines started to reload. 100 rearmed with Surface-to-Air missles while the rest rearmed with the same as the previous volley. General Jacobs turned to an aid, "How long?" he asked, still listening to the reports streaming in from the fighters.
"5 minutes sir." he responded.

Meanwhile, the 165 GF-02 Blizzard fighters on the carriers lifted off. The lead pilot radioed to the engaged F-35's "F flight 2 enroute. Skirting AA range, eta 3 minutes."
The 50 F-35's running air superiority also radioed in to the engaged F-35's, announcing they were 2 minutes away.

Out of the First DT fleet, 5 frigates and 5 destroyers and a Bismark headed to the opposite side of the NPE headquarters, below where the battle was raging in the sky. 2 more frigates with another 4 destroyers and a Bismark went to cover the carriers, while the rest of the fleet stayed put to rain shells on the NPE headquarters:

Barokin Waters

The fleet had arrived. Containing multiple carriers, battleships, and other small vessels, the Maldorian Basilisk Battle Group would be one to be reckoned with. Joining the ranks of Deserted Territory ships, the Maldorian vessels opened fire upon the small island. With the overwhelming number of cannons firing at the HQ, the island would soon be reduced to rubble.

"What's the situation?" Admiral Kabuto coughed as he readjusted his glasses. Kabuto Yakushi, Kabuto for short, was a young man who served Maldorian fleets all his life. Kabuto will sail this fleet to victory.

"Well sir. Nothing much, to be honest. The NPE HQ should be a pile of debris soon, and I believe a few airplanes have gone after Deserted Territories ships.

"Excellent! Maintain the barrage. Get a few E-2C's in the air. Leave a few of the ships back to protect the carriers."

OOC: You inquired incorrectly to the wrong people then. You see, anywhere that Wanderjar has material or people working, there is an airbase. And I have an OKW (Oberkommando Wehrmacht/Armed Forces High Command), branch out there, thus, its heavily defended by me, I don't know about anyone else...but I have a nice little garrison there.

The garrison I'd planned out was about Five hundred infantrymen (Mechanised), fifteen K-1 Main Battle Tank, twenty BMP-3s, and around five hundred Su-47 Berkut and one hundred F/A-18 fighters/Fighter-Bombers, though I can immediately dispatch more from TPF's homeland.

The Wanderjarian fighters would not close in against the DT forces, nay, rather they stayed back and preferred to launch missiles at them from a distance. This was a frustration to any enemy force who wished to close in for dog fighting. Hundreds of missiles were deployed at the enemy forces, as were even more SAM and AAA missiles fired at them. The enemy's air raid would soon be broken.

The Naval detachment was a bit more difficult to deal with. While Shakal and Die Zweiten Reich brought in a Naval Task Force, there were only a sparing few coastal guns ready to defend against such an attack. They proceeded to fire upon the enemy ships, whose main guns were opening fire upon the various facilities upon the island. Damage was yet to be assessed, and only after the battle's conclusion would it be realised. Until then, the battle continued.

(OOC: check my post, you've got AIM-9's coming at you, and someone still needs to post damage from the missle attack and naval bombardment.)

The 62 F-35's flew at the Berkuts, but from his cockpit, the lead pilot noticed they weren't getting any closer. They needed more speed, he sent the order to drop their payloads into the sea and hit the afterburners. 2,000lbs lighter and with increased thrust, the F-35's reached Mach 1.6.

When the new wave of missles came, each f-35 fired its remaining TALON, and flying straight at the missles attempted to jinx left and right to throw them. But at more than 3 missles a plan, they had no chance, and as the lead pilot's plane disentigrated around him he noticed the left third of the formation fly into SAM range. No planes survived.

Coming around the northern tip of the Joint training Facility, the 50 F-35s that were flying in to support, turned around, it would be up to the blizzards to fire a long range attack. The Blizzards, only now rounding the AA fire from the headquarters loosed a total 660 Cottonmouth LRAAMs and 330 AIM-120 AMRAAMs at the Berkuts, before turning back to the carriers.

Throughout the fleet a spare gun from every ship turned on the coastal guns and rained shells on them to quiet there annoying buzz of shelss. Even so, bridge of one of the Bismarks was smashed off it's tower and the metal screeched horrible as it bent, swinging the tower towards the sea, only a few steel beams keeping it from falling overboard.

General Jacobs turned again to his aid after hearing of the complete destruction of FB flight 1, "How long untill we're rearmed?"
"Only two minutes now, sir."

(OOC: Sorry about that mate, I completely forgot about it. I'll take care of it now. :)

And as for the bombardment and missiles, they were targetting the Office district correct? That will be discussed in detail once the battle is over. Trust me, I know what I'm doing. :))

IC:

The enemy missile attack on the Wanderjarian Luftwaffe contingent was devestating by Wanderjarian standards. Some thirty fighters were annihilated instantly, while a dozen more were forced down. Others managed to buy themselves enough time to deploy chaff and other counter measures to the enemy missiles, thus evading them and allowing themselves to return fire. The aircraft landed to rearm. Crewmen ran about the airfields loading Questerian AS8A Anti Shipping Missiles. Some aircraft already armed with these, namely the F/A-18 aircraft among the Berkuts, deployed the missiles at the enemy capital ships.

As the soared towards the enemy ships, the GPS systems would guide them directly into their intended target. As they homed into the enemy ships, particularly the Carriers, home on active jamming utilities were activated, hopefully blocking the enemy anti-ballistics ordinance and CIWS from tracking them, allowing them to smash into the intended targets.

The Garrison Base Commander, FeldMarschall Erhardt said a silent thanks to Questerian engineering. With a grin, he went back to coordinating the air battle which was still going in Wanderjarian favor.

CIWS from the fleet fired willy-nilly into the incoming wave of missles, they couldn't get a lock and only a few chance hits were made. While the ships braced against the attack, sealing bulkheads, shutting hatches, they opened up with flak cannons, anti-aircraft rounds, and started spewing RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missles by the dozens, the first volleys at the anti-shipping missles, the following ones at the F/A-18's.

Several Bismarks and a few destroyers were damaged from the attack, but none sank. The one Bismark that had lost its bridge started to list heavily after taking a glancing blow amidships. The carriers, sitting close ashore were defended by ground based anti-missle batteries as well as the destroyers and frigates around them who took a spare hit. The 165 Blizzards were well out of range when the counter fire was sent and started touching down to rearm for the fight that was about to come with the refueling Berkuts.

Wolverines started to put the finishing touches on their newly loaded missles, designating targets and adjusting their pitch.
Jacobs' aid turned to him before he could ask, "Thirty seconds sir, just in time for the 100 AA loaded wolverines to do their part."
Shakal
07-08-2007, 03:29
The Shakal fleet closed to within firing range of the enemy fleet. Immediatly Admiral Thoma ordered the ships to fire, focusing on the anti-air vessels of the enemy fleet. A klaxon rung warning of the firing of the Armageddon's missle payload. 200 Sea Superiority Missles left the launch system and sped towards the enemy fleet, only two seconds later 10 TIDAF missles fired into the sky each ocntaining ten anti-ship missles in itself all bound for the enemy fleet.

The Shakal Nuclear submarines slowly closed on the enemy waiting for the time to strike. Already there missle firing systems were armed and ready alongside the torpedoes.

The Shakal ground based aircraft lead by the 345 Bn-IV all readied there weapons for the attack, they would stay away from the enemy fleets anti-air vessels and would focus on the enemy aircraft. They fired there missles and attempted to stay out of range of the enemy simultaniously. The carrier based fighters would close only to a slightly shorter range before repeating the same tactics. The deady X-02 fighters would engage the enemy fighters using superior speed to catch them off guard.

"Sir! Enemy fleet firing!" called out a sailor. Admiral Calibrew sprung into action, with the first wave anti-ahipping missles finished, he ordered the ships batteries turned on the Shakal fleet. Three more salvos of RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missles flew at the oncomming missles, but all the enemy aircraft were out of range.
The missle attack had caught them off gaurd, and the two lead Bismarks, along with their escorts were sent to the bottom. The fleet returned fire with 300 khans shot as fast as they could load them.

2 Nimitz Class Nuclear Powered Aircraft Carriers

The galleons moved out of the center of the formation and opened fire on the Shakal superdreadnoughts.

On land, General Jacobs was notified of the events taking place. "Are the wolverines loaded?"
"Yes, sir. On your order."
"Good, turn 3/5 of them on that fleet, send those AA missles at the inbound fighters and use whatevers left over on the headquarters."
4800 missles streaked out of the wolverines aiming for the Shakal ships decks, though not anti-shipping missiles, they'd do the trick. 1600 AA missiles screamed at the Shakal launched fighters who had apparently not noticed the massive ground-based missile battery. The remaining 100 wolverines shot their 1600 missiles at the coastal guns, SAM sites, and air fields that had revealed themselves in the counter-attack.
"Start reloading them with AA and anti-shipping missiles, half and half!" Jacobs yelled over the roar of rocket motors.

The Blizzards had just become airborn when the attack came. They scrambled and each shot two TALONs and droped chaff out of their wingtips before breaking away from the missiles. With only 15 attacking missiles not covered by TALONs, and the chaff creating a radar signature several 100 times the size of each plane, the Blizzard formation suffered minimal damage from the ensuing mid-air explosions. To counter it they shot a combined total of 330 Cottonmouth LRAAMs and 165 AIM-120 AMRAAMs at the enemy planes.

Just as all seemed to be swinging smoothly into DT's favour again, a short message reached General Jacobs.
DT is being invaded.
Jacobs paled.

The Reich aircraft received word of the massive anti-air attack and knew the Shakal would do there job. They on the other hand, had a diffrent idea. The fast and new Reich X-02 Wyverns flew in low utilizing stealth and flying below radar. Once in range fired there Heavy Anti-Ship missles against the aircraft carriers from a range that wouldnt allow enemy anti-missle systems to react to the attack. They knw most if not all of them would die, but it didnt matter.

Though anti-ballistics ordinence fired from various sites around the HQ island, as well as CIWS gatling guns placed amongst the various coastal guns and SAM sites to protect them, managed to dispatch a significant number of the enemy missiles, a good enough number crashed through to enable several of the sites to be destroyed. Though still, the survivors continued to fight.

Meanwhile, the air battle raged as numerous air to air missiles met the Wanderjarian aircraft, killing still more of them, however many many more yet remained alive to continue on with the fight. The returned fire themselves against the DT airships, while the F/A-18 fighter bombers continued to launch anti-shipping ordinance at the enemy sea faring craft. Many of DT's young men would die this day, the less which could return home to face the now under way invasion of their home land. Baker, now informed of this, smiled to himself. They thought this to be a moral victory to give a minorly perceptible boost of confidence in the Corporatist forces. They would be sadly mistaken as this quagmire turned into the polar opposite: a representation of their looming defeat.

The enemy Khans did heavy damage. The 2 Royal Soveirgn Deadnaughts went down, or where going down. One that could possible make it began to return to the closest allied base fro repairs. However, many of the missles where taken down by the Frigates Anti-Missles Interceptor systems. Several smaller vessels were also destroyed.

The enemy Galleons almost amde Admiral Thoma laugh, the Armageddon fired its 30inch Heavy rounds that would easily piece there armor. The Ship also launched another wave of some 400 anti-shipping missles at the enemy fleet.

As the Shakal flagship unleashed certain death on the enemy vessels the Shakal secret weapon, the Sunrise Strongpoint ships opened fire. Immedialtly 240 Khans sped for the enemy accompanied by over 200 cruise missles from the cruisers and the Shakal submarines which had snuck below the enemy fleet. The Subs that didnt fire there missles launched Nebelcrage Torpedoes against the enemy carriers and cruisers, a single hit was enough to tear through the hull of any ship in the Deserted territories naval taskforce.

The missles from the wolverines were anticipated, the anti-missle systems of the fleet fired and brought down many. Those that mad eit through did damage to only the smaller vessels such as the Frigates and Destroyers of the Shakal fleet. Those that hi the Armageddon simply made black marks on the hull and deck, although they did kill of some of the crew.

The missles that flew towards the fighters werent as well recieved. The Shakal deployed countermeasures and avoided as many as they could. Still, over a hundred fighters were taken down. They responded with another set of shots at the enemy fleet focused on its AA capable vessels.

"Sir, the Deserted Territories fleet has enemy contact. What are our orders?" was the question directed to Admiral Kabuto. The Maldorian Basilik Battle Group halted its bombardment upon the New Prussian Empire Headquarters and readjusted their guns towards the Shakal fleet. The fleet would not know what hit them...

"Open fire!" Kabuto roared into the speaker. After a few seconds of silence, the fleet engaged the Shakal ships.

Towards the back fo the Battle Group, E-2C Hawkeyes were launched from Maldorian supercarriers.

"Skyeye here. Got the positions of enemy ships. Let's give 'em hell boys."

All hell broke loose as the DT fleets anti-missile and AA systems became overloaded with targets. Shells were leaving the guns faster than designed as the sailors broke into a frenzy and the barrels started to soften and compensation was required with every firing to make up for the malfunction. RIM-162 ESSMs, Sea Wolfs, and RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missiles flew out of launchers at incoming missles and fighters alike, but it was no use, there were too many targets and too little guns.

The fleet started firing its khans again, no longer taking into account if they'd need them later, there mighn't be a later. The fleet sustained heavy casualties, the front third was instantly sent to the bottom. The twisted hulls of 4 Bismarks and several support vessels shielded the rest of the fleet from the torpedo attack. The galleons stood no chance and four were destroyed shortly after returning fire. The fifth bore away from the enemy fleet, moving to rejoin the rest of the fleet now that Maldorian forces were relieving the pressure. The battered fleet reformed within the bosom of the wreck ships, hiding behind the wall of smoke, fire, and twisted hulls that would shield them from anymore sea skimming missles and mask their positions from the enemy from the west and north. All the while target coordinates were radioed from a shore-based observation point on Barokin, and the fleet set off its batteries.

The 50 F-35s that had been running superiority over the missile batteries had split, with 40 touching down on runways in Barokin and rearming with 4 AGM-123 Skipper IIs. They now flew low and fast, below the radar ceiling with their radar guided anti-shipping bombs. The Skippers carried 1000lbs warheads, enough to punch a hole in some of the thickest hulls, and with rocket purpolsion the F-35s would only be beyond the fleets AA range when they released the bombs.

The Blizzards released another 330 Cottonmouth LRAAMs and 165 AIM-120 AMRAAMs at the Shakal and Wanderjar aircraft and quickly jetted back to the carries, light with empty weapons bays, to rearm. This attack would surely ditract enemy fighters and gave the F-35s the window they needed to drop 160 Skippers at arrayed targets in the Shakal fleet, though special attention was given to their capitol ships.

As the DT airforce rearmed and refueled all available AA fire was spent at the skies, even a few varied land based SAM sites were put online with what DT forces on the ground could put together in a hurry. And on shore, near the sheltered carriers, shoulder mounted systems were set up.

Defenses in (and above) the Wilhelm-Hatarian Empire were still up, what with the conflict between the Order of America and Urcea. They had promise to come to the OoA's aid, should fighting break out once more between them and Urcea.

But now, something else was happening. Something much closer to home.

The Wilhelm-Hatarian Empire and Wanderjar/The New Prussian Empire both shared the same continent, along with their mutual ally, the United Dominion. In the past, Emperor William had attempted to create an alliance between his country and Wanderjar, but to no avail. Still, the Emperor was determined that they would eventually become close.

This attack by the Corporate Alliance on NPE territory however, was a threat to these ambitions. And so, it was Emperor William’s decree that the Wilhelm-Hatarian Empire act to defend a potential ally.

As defenses across the Empire had been raised with the OoA/Urcea conflict, all naval fleets had been mobilized for deployment. As this happened to be a direct attack on NPE territories, the 4th Fleet, under the command of Fleet Admiral Patrick Frampton, left its base in the Dominion-controlled region of Friesland, Germany and set a course for the embattled NPE territories.

As they left the base, all forty of the fleet’s EB-180 Stargazers took off from the decks of the supercarriers. They flew at speeds of Mach 2 and climbed to an altitude of 100,000 feet.

Closer to the water, the S-3 Vikings were busy patrolling the perimeters of the fleet, keeping a close look out for enemy subs and mines. They coordinated their searches with the Seawolf-class attack submarines, and the numerous mini-subs gliding beneath the surface of the water.

And on the carriers, the crews of the Su-47 Golden Eagles prepared themselves for the mission ahead. If they engaged the enemy, there was a good chance that some of them might not make it home alive.

They wouldn’t be alone however. The Air Force was sending some help. From air bases across the Crimean Peninsula came one hundred EB-180 Stargazers. They climbed to 130,000 feet and increased their speed to Mach 4 in order to catch up with the 4th Fleet. It was their job to protect the fleet from high-altitude attacks.

The Crimean Peninsula also sent one hundred and forty-four F/A-35 Talons (two wings of 72 aircraft apiece). They flew to an altitude of 90,000 feet and followed the Stargazers.

Air bases on the Azores Island chain also contributed forces: Fifteen E-3 Sentry AWACS, ten KC-135R Stratotanker Refueling Planes, one hundred B1-b Lancers, and one thousand Su-37 Terminators.

The Azores base also sent another gem: Seventy-two LEOSF-1s. Fighters the operated in Low Earth Orbit. Their job, much like the Stargazers and Talons, was to protect the 4th fleet from orbital attacks.

The 4th Fleet pulled out of the Friesland naval base. They were moving deliberately slow however, as they waited for the Stargazers and Talons to finish their trek over Europe, and for the LEOSF-1s to take up orbit over the area. Within a short time however, the high-altitude aircraft arrived and took up position over the fleet.

With aerial defenses in place, the 4th Fleet set course full speed ahead towards NPE territory. The other aircraft from the Azores would catch up in a few hours, until then, Fleet Admiral Frampton wasn’t going to waste any time. He had been ordered to help safeguard the New Prussian Empire, and he planned to follow these orders to the letter.

Let me first start by saying that I applaud your actions against the Corporate menace and that I believe victory will come to the just. However, with your headquarters under attack, there is a possibility that you may soon be out of a meeting place. I speak for myself, my military and indeed the majority of my nation when I say that I hold my Prussian brothers in the highest esteem. Therefore, I have an offer to make you. If your present headquarters falls, you may establish a provisional HQ in Central Prestonia. The building will be disguised as a Department of Travel office, and fly the Prestonian flag, so as not to attract attention. Please consider this offer, and may you prevail over the forces of evil.

OOC: Deserted Territories, you know its impossible for any of the ships you have to fire Khans let alone 300 of them in seconds. A Khan is an ICBM sized missile, it takes hours to load (not something you would do in the heat of battle either) and requires large launch tubes that can take the recoil from launch, real life ships can not hold them and only large NS designed ships can.

Your attack is a complete god mod of epic proportions.

The Shakal aircraft were hit hard by the retalitory attack. Over 80 went down instantly. The numbers were now reduced by over 200, still, a small price to pay for the havoc they have caused so far. The Shakal fleet was hit painfully by the Mandalorian fire, three cruisers went down alongside a few escorts. The Shakal flagship was hit by three shells suffering little. Its 30inch main guns opened fire on the lead enemy ships. The 28 shells would devastate them. Admiral Thoma ordered as many planes back into the air as fast as possible, they were to keep total air cover. The Sunrise Strongpoint ships unleashed another salvo of 200 missles bound this time for the Mandalorians.

In the meantime the submarines continued to fire on the stunned DT vessels in conjunction with the air raid being conducted by DZR hopefully to take out the enemies carriers. The Armageddon launched yet another salvo consisting of 100 anti-shipping missles. As the battle was being conducted the aircraft refueled as fast as possible with fresh weapons to aid them.

(OOC: sorry, missed it)
The carriers support craft offered no help as the missiles sunk their teeth into its hull and deck, the torpedos as well. They were both sinking fast, but each had at least one runway. The order to abandon ship was given and sailors in life boats quickly made their way to the close shores, some doubling back for those who hadn't gotten a life boat or had fallen overboard with the blast. All of the exess planes and helicoptors left the carriers before it sunk, seeing as how most of the carriers planes were mucking about above. But the Blizzards had to turn instead to an airbase on Barokin to rearm, adding another cruicial minute to the time they would be back in action. Meanwhile the airbase was quickly working to launch the last of the rearmed F-35's with Skippers and prepare ordinace for the massive incoming formation of blizzards.

The fleet gathered behind the wreackage of their comrades, and were sheilded from direct shots by the anti-shipping missiles, another battleship bit the dust. Unfortunatly the dead ships were sinking fast and wouldn't provide this protection for long. They continued to fire shells at the Shakal fleet and a measly few AGM/UGM-84 Harpoons left the ships decks.

On land Jacobs quickly coordinated the next attack. "That island has got to be all but gone by now, we've already launched close to 10 thousand missiles at it! Leave it for now, direct the wolverines at the Shakal fleet and any hostile aircraft up there, we'll hit that island one more time before we're done, but not now. And get the battalion camoflauged and bunkered down. How long?"
"1 minute untill we're reloaded, not much longer after that we will be invisible to the naked eye." an aid responded.
"Literally?"
"Er.. no, it's just an expression."
"Well, one can dream." Jacobs finished, ignoring the breach in protocol.

The few missles the DT navy launched did little to nothing. One got through and damaged a cruiser. The shells from the enemy ships proved mostly useless, even Shakal Cruisers had enough armor to handle anything that the enemy would throw at them, but nonetheless 4 more smaller ships were brought down. The Shakal fleet was now mainly focused on the Mandalorains, but the Armageddon gave a final salvo of 100 more missles leaving whatever was left to the Shakal submarines which had yet to be fired upon and continued to launch there torpedoes at the enemy, those that had no payload left began to head back to resupply. The original 1870 aircraft the Shakal had sent was already reduced by 300 or so.

The Shakal aircraft continued to fire at the Mandalorians now that most had been resupplied. The Shakal fleet was still in relativly good shape. Admiral Thoma ordered a constant vigilance against submarines attacks so that they would be prepared and also against the same tactic the DRZ aircraft had just used against the DT fleet. The two dozen Shakal submarines that werent engaged in battle with the DT navy headed for the Mandalorian force hoping for another great sucess.

The 4th Fleet would be arriving at the battlezone within hours. The force from the Azores would be arriving overhead in 30 minutes. For Fleet Admiral Patrick Frampton, it was go time.

"Send message to all flight crews. Launch the fighters." he ordered.

"Aye sir. Relaying the message now." the communications officer.

Frampton turned to the XO. "I've ordered the Stargazers to go ahead and deliver a first strike against the enemy fleet. Of course that strike will be minor compared to what's to come. I want shipping missiles prepared on all ships and attack fighters. Have crews ready to reload immediately after firing. We'll hit them in waves, with each strike harder than the last.

The XO looked at Frampton with a raised eyebrow. "Why waste time hitting them in multiple waves? Why not hit them with a massive overwhelming strike?"

The Fleet Admiral laughed. "Have you no finesse? War is a symphony, Commander. And I am the Conductor."

Frampton raised his hands in a dramatic fashion. "Begin the first movement!"

----------

130,000 feet overhead, the one hundred and forty EB-180 Stargazers were just coming into range of the Deserted Territories fleet. Their radar wouldn't detect them for not only was the Stargazer designed as a stealth aircraft, it was also equipped with a “Scatter Plot” Radar Detection Avoidance System which received incoming radar emissions and threw them 180º away from their origin. The enemy wouldn't know what was coming.

Finally, as they came into position, the two internal bays of each of the Stargazers opened up, and the rotating launchers, each capable of carrying 18 bombs and missiles apiece, lowered down.

The opening salvo against the Deserted Territories fleet would be five hundred and sixty MOABs. Four per Stargazer, 2 per launcher. As they crossed directly overhead, the leader of the EB-180s gave his order.

"Drop the bombs and let 'em burn!"

With that, 560 MOABs fell down upon the Deserted Territories ships. As they fell, the Stargazers turned and raced back to the fleet at Mach 4.

The last attack on the DT navy destroyed three more ships, and as their cover slowly sank, the remaining ships headed away from the action, firing off one last ceremonial salvo across the Shakal fleets sterns, a sign of their defeat. This was the end for the DT fleet, which now limped to a port in southern Barokin.
2 DE-3 Vanguard Class Destroyers

2 Bismark class Battleships

But the DT land and air forces continued to fight. The wolverines were loaded and Jacobs gave them the order to fire 4,000 Exocet anti-shipping missiles at the Shakal fleet and two waves of 1,500 AMRAAM-NASAMS. Another 1,000 AA missiles were left unfired in their tubes, as supplies were running low as the conflict drew on.

The 50 F-35's launched from the air base on Barokin just as the Blizzards touched down. Soon they would be making their way low and fast towards the Shakal fleet with the last 160 Skippers armed and loaded in their weapons bays.

Well, my forces don't know the condition of your fleet, but I'd like it if you RP the damage anyway.

Besides, most capital ships can take a bomb right? Ships have survived nuclear explosions before, so it's likely that something from your fleet will survive.

Sailors flew left and right as the Shakal ships' cannons tore up the first line of ships. A few frigates and cruisers quickly caught fire and sank, not long after...

The Basilisk Battle Group would not be defeated so easily. Admiral Kabuto was not a fool; he would do whatever it takes to keep this Maldorian Fleet alive. Patriot missiles were launched from the vessels' launchers in an effort to halt the missile attack. As a last line of defense, Phalanx CIWS anti-missile systems tore up the oncoming missiles. Two Maldorian Missile Cruisers, unable to counter the overwhelming number of missiles, soon were hit and, after a while, sunk. Shakal aircraft flew around the boats, harrassing sailors and the ships alike. Idle Phalanx systems opened fire upon the flying aircraft, hoping for the best.

In an effort to halt Shakal sub movements, SH-60 seahawk were deployed by the Battle Group. After dropping off their SONAR buoys, the Shakal subs would be spotted. A few Mark 50 torpedos would finish the enemy submarines.

Maldorian ballistic submarines quickly dove underwater, trying to stay out of the battle. After a few minutes of silence, the submarines fired their payload of Tomahawk missiles, with conventional warheads, of course....

The Shakal aircraft remained outside of the enemies range launching missle sat them from as far away as possible. The Shakal subs launched there torpedoes at the enemy cruisers hoping for the best. The emptied there weapons and then retreated for supplies. A dozen Shakal subs remained behind to screen the retreat if necessary. The Armageddon fired another 28 round simultaniously rocking the huge vessel. Admiral Thoma was growing weary, the enemy wasnt dieing as fast as he wanted them to. News of the Wilhemsburough navy coming to assist helped morale greatly. He decided that is was no longer time to play around and ordered the ship to unleash every missle it could fire at once. Ten seconds later the reloading from the last salvo was complete and 600 anti-ship missles sped for the enemy fleet moving at a steady Mach 3.5. They were joined by another 100 sent in from the escorting vessels.

The missles form the Barokin mainland Wolverine batteries (OOC:I assume this is what they are) were hit hard by every missle defence system the Shakal could muster. Still 20 destroyers and a cruiser where brought down from them. Those that hit the Armageddon couldnt penetrate the armor.

OOC:Thats alot os missles, i feel sorry for your accountants having to tally how much all of them cost... :p

(OOC: it would explain why my fleet is so ity-bity. Probably more than half of my budget is dedicated to armament.)

The retreating DT ships weren't paying attention to the skies anymore, as all available hands were pumping water out of the hulls and manually running neccessary systems who's computers had been damaged. Therefore, the massive Wilhelmsborough attack caugth them off guard. With such a small formation, the bombing spread went wide of the ships, many exploding in the ocean around the ships. The outer ships, particulary the destroyers were pummeled and the remaining two started to sink as all hands jumped into life boats and made for the not-too-close shoreline. The remaining three ships suffered substantial damage, and one Bismark started to take on alot of water, but they would make it back to land.

The 50 F-35s swung towards the Shakal fleet with the last 160 Skippers and fired them off en masse at the bigger ships. The laser guided bombs fell a short way before rocket engines carried them over the smaller perimeter ships. The Blizzards back on land were rearmed and started to take off, gathering above the airfield for the whole squadron before they would leave.

The loaded wolverines sent 200 AMRAAM-NASAMS at the planes harrassing the Maldorian fleet. Jacobs asked his aid from inside his newly built bunker, "How are we on supplies, and how long untill we can launch another barrage?"
"We have enough missiles left for mabey one more assorted launch, it'll take another 4 minutes. We're loading everything we have left." the aid said, "supplies stoped arriving when the homeland invasion started, they need those missiles for the defense of the beachhead."
"Very well, load them up, do we have anything else?"
"Some old howitzers and a couple hours worth of ammunition."
"They'll have to do, get them set up as close as you can get them to that fleet." and with that Jacobs ended the conversation and looke out the slit at ground level towards the enemy fleet.

OOC:I dont need you to explain. I just thought of it cuz of my own missles, turns out i have billions of dollars to rebuild them...

IC:

The missles from the DT Wolverines hit the Shakal aircraft radar screens and they reated as fast as they could using chaff and scrambelers to deflect as many as possible. Around three dozen aircraft still went down. The Skippers were shot at by Phlan missles defences and CIWS missles systems brining down half before they made contatc. Those that did caused fair damage to the cruisers but failed to fully penetrate the armored belts they wore. The Shakal, unlike many other modern nations, still believed in having heavy armor on there vessels. One began to sink and the crew fired all the ammunition they could at the Mandalorians before the ship went under. Those tha made contact with the Strongpoint ships did nothing to the hull.

The Reich aircraft had remained alive after attacking the DT carriers. It was an astonishing victory. Now the planes headed for the land based Wolverines to take them out before they reloaded. As soon as they were in range they sent everything they had to take out as many stations as possible.

The Wolverines that were still loaded sent 200 AMRAAM-NASAMS at the attacking DZR aircraft. Their fortified positions bore the brunt of the attack, but several were buried under their own fortifications and crews got to digging them out and making repairs. As the F-35s returned to reload on missiles, the 165 Blizzards took off and headed for the DZR planes that had sunk the carriers and attack the missile battery. They shot 50 AIM-120 AMRAAMs to supplement the land based assault.

Now was the time. As soon as the enemy subs launched their torpedoes, the hovering Sh-60's took action. They each fired 1 Mark 50 torpedo at the subs. With the SONAR buoys already set up, their subs would not leave the attack still intact. Ignoring the larger, more vurnerable Shakal ships, the small, versatile Maldorian cruisers and destroyers ASROC anti-submarine missile systems sprung to life as the Shakal sub fired. A few of the cruisers were downed, but at a good price. Mark 50 torpedoes flew in from the sky as ASROC systems fired at the subs. They would think again before messing with Maldorian fleets...

A few more cruisers and destroyers were torn up as the Armageddon unleashed hell.

As the Shakal anti-ship roared to the Maldorian fleet, quick countermeasures were placed. Because the fleet was stealth, their radar cross section was reduced, giving the anti-ship missiles harder targets. Deception jammers, such as SLQ-32's proved effective as chaff and flare systems attempted to divert the missiles. Just for the heck of it, Mk.45 artillery guns did their best in trying to hit the missiles but to little avail. AIM-7 Sparrows and Sea Wolf missiles were launched towards the anti-ship missiles. As a last resort, CIWS would try to halt the mob of missiles. With all these defenses online and firing, it would be impossible for all of the missiles to make their marks...

The Shakal submarines began to go down quickly. Only 3 of the attacking force survived to join the screening force. The Armageddon fired its main guns at the enemy again.

The original salvo was greatly reduced by the enemy defence systems, but 50 missles still got through and hit there targets.

The 1600 Shakal aircraft fired there missles against the enemy fleet hoping to take down many of the enemy ships. They remained out of the enemies effective strike range to cause heavy damage.

With the Shakal subs effectively neutralized, the underwaters belonged to the Maldorians. It was their turn for a torpedo attack. The 5 Ohio Class Ballistic Missile Submarines fired their Tomahawk's while the 20 Virginia Class Attack Submarines launched their Mark 48 torpedoes at the largest ship in the vicinity.

Instead of the usual destroyers and cruisers that went down, this time, 5 Air Defense Vessels were hit.

Although the enemy craft were out of range of close range missiles, long range missile systems like the Patriot missile systems could take down those sitting ducks...One quick round should do the trick.

Admiral Kabuto quickly paced the Command Bridge of the MNS Mandalore's Revenge thinking of the recent turn of events. The Deserted Territories fleet had pulled back, but they left with a bang. It was up to the sailors of the Basilisk Battle Group to destroy these NPE pests...

The enemy cruise missles were fired at by the Shakal missle interception systems taking several down. Those that got through and made contact with the Shakal ships did fair damage. The Torpedoes that headed for the largest ship in the vicinity made contact with the hulls of the Shakal strongpoint ships. The strong hulls easily withstood the hits fom the torpedoes and any breaches that were made were quickly sealed.

(OOC: I closed the window 4/5 through the post. I'm sure you know how frustrating it is to rewrite things so it's condensed.)

The Blizzards moved on the Shakal aircraft that had moved out of range of the Maldorian fleet. Loosing several AMRAAMs and AIM-9s each they then hit the afterburners and moved in close to engaged with their 25mm cannons. Because of their small amount of ammo, they would only stay engaged for a few seconds, but those cannons had the power to rip apart any plane they scored even a glancing hit on.

Meanwhile the howitzers were set up and fortified on the beach and began firing off their 155mm guns at the Shakal fleet. Though not much, they spaced their barrage so there was never a moment when there wasn't a shell falling of the ships. The steady boom of firing guns, shriek of incoming shells, and explosions of hits and splashes of near misses were sure to demoralize the Shakal sailors. The Wolverines were almost reloaded with their last salvo of missiles and V-29s and -22s took off from the landing fields, heading back towards DT in hopes of bring more missiles for the battery before the conflicts end.

The DT aircraft were anticipated and the Shakal vessels unleashed a hundred anti-air missles at them before sending in some 150 F/A-35, 80 X-02, and 70 Bn-IV. They would make sure the enemy didnt escape, and when they did run the aircraft would pursue and detroy as many land defences as they could.

Just as the Shakal forces had anticipated the attack, the DT forces anticipated the counter. The blizzards released 150 TALONs at the ship based attack, neutrilizing it, and quickly turned tail after firing their missiles at the persuing planes and another 50 TALONs at anything they had launched. The F-35s came in the opposite direction as the Blizzards and released 25 TALONs to screen the retreating Blizzards as well as another hundred AIM-9s. The land based Wolverine battery, now reloaded and ready to fire, trained their AMRAAM NASAMS at the planes and loosed 50 more to the already massive wave headed at the Shakal craft, all of them insurance against loses of any kind.

As retaliation for the move, the battery sent 500 RBS15 anti-shipping missiles at the Shakal fleet.

OOC: For reference I'm gonna post the remaining missile amounts for the Wolverines (these are after the attack posted above):
1000 StS missiles
2500 anti-shipping missiles
3000 SAMs

The Shakal fleet missle interception systems kicked into action against the approaching enemy missles. Those that hit brought down some 6 more Destroyers. The Shakal aircraft then began immediate evasive manuvers and managed to avoid many missles using there ultra fast climb rate. 50 aircraft were brought down. The Shakal navy began to bombard the Mandalorians again with there main guns and missles. Hopefully this battle would be over soon.
