Internet. Interwebz. Intranets. Whatever you call it, it's the same; it's inside; it's everywhere. Interwebs aren't a piece of land, a bunch of people, a legal entity. It's the series of tubes which connects the world's worst.
The growth of the Internets beyond that started in 2000, when someone influential accidentally mentioned the term "internets", hinting the public about black projects of alternate internets. By 2004, conspiracy theorists and practitioners alike were confident that the internet they knew was only one of the Legion.
Internets' growth didn't take long to surface. By 2006, it was discovered that, many argue that the number of elements on the Interwebs is approaching the number of neurons in some of human brains. Today, many critics agree the fact that many people actually do argue over the Internet proves the gap is being bridged from both sides.
All that stuff, however, was proven unnecessary already in the 1990s, when the collective conscious known as Anonymous was terrorizing the webz, spawning dramas, h4xing sites, pirating pr0n, closing pools and causing much butthurt. The Anonymous was no longer just a person. It was an entire Legion, acting as one, giving up the individual to unite in the great collective. Series of tubes were spreading without limit, little computer ninjaz catching pr0n from the leaks in tubes. The population of /b/oards was first measured in thousands, then in millions, then in billions, and among the trillions of people visiting the webs, more and more got addicted.
This couldn't go on forever unnoticed. More and more people were neglecting their real lives to truly live on the Interwebs. The time has come for the True Internets to become more than just a part of the network. In 2007, Mr. Anonymous A. Anonymous, with millions of his followers all going by the name Anonymous, finally made the Interweb to be accepted as a nation of its own.
So started the history of the Interwebs, the nation of the internets addicts, /b/tards, h4x0rs, and other bunch all around the world, brought together by series of tubes entangling the planet and little computer ninjas.
