Comrade Scott stood atop the hill outside of the capital, New Zevkhay: all was good. The smoke pouring from the city was the result of the communists final storming of the city. Down there, the looting and pillaging would be reaching a frenzy level.

The Democrat Loyalists deserved this: they were just the same, the capitalist swine.

Then came a counter attack: below in the city, there was a sudden escalation of machine gun fire, the Green tracer of the communist soviet rounds being replaced by the Red tracer of democratic NATO rounds. There was an explosion, and screams as the main gate of the city came down upon the incoming communists, and more explosions as the democrats follwed through with an artillery barrage from the top of the senate hill.

In the Senate, people were rushing around madly, barricading the doors and finding whatever guns they could; the president had in his hands his .65 calibre hunting rifle, able to stop a charging Rhino, and definately a charging communist.

In front of him, the communications officer was sending a telegram to any capitalist nation that he could think of:

SENATE HOUSE IS THREATENED STOP
REQUEST IMMEDIATE EMERGANCY SUPPORT STOP
IF SENATE FALLS DEMOCRACY FALLS IN ALFEGOS FULL STOP

Outside, the ground shook from the firing of the mortars.

Datium, the supporters of democracy, have decided to send our 3rd Mechanized devision to the Alfegon 'Senate's house' to try and fight off the communists!

The DGNT military advisor, who technically held no rank but fancied himself Comrade Colonel Zemvistya, stood just behind Comrade Scott. Being a rather tall man he had a slightly better view of the city and, while dissapproving of the rape and pillage, generally thought that the Alfegosian soldiers had done a decent job of routing the Loyalists.
"It seems you have been putting our tanks to good use, Comrade. The IS-7 is a very useful design, is it not? Especially when your enemy has nothing with which to put holes in the armor, yes?" Zemvistya gestured to one of the Dontgonearthere made vehicles as it trundled around the city, "We of course look forward to future dealings with your nation, Comrade. Youre people are remarkably militarily adept."
Internally, Zemvistya rolled his eyes. Lines straight from the 'How to Get Into Peoples Pockets Handbook for Military Advisors'. It generaly worked though, petty generals often fancied themselves as leaders of some sort of superior people, often dangerously close to the line between communist and fascisti scum.

In the Alfegos senate building, there was a massive explosion as the communists opened fire. How the heel had they got those, thought the president as he loaded the magazine with the massive .600 Nitro Express rounds. These were hollow-tipped, deisgned to have maximum stopping power. But then, the ordinary round was powerful enough.

As a response, the artillery of the Democrats returned fire. One shell was lucky, scoring a direct hit on a tank. The rest caused general destruction amongst the enemy.

But soon the massive gate would fall. The steel defeated by the tanks. But when they came in, they would have one hell of a surprise.

Ahead of him, he saw a team with an ancient PIAT running into position. He wondered if that would take a tank. If not, the armoury held a couple of the recoilless AT weapons known as the Bazooka among the general populace.

A tank fired its gun, and the massive gate shattered. As it rumbled in, it was hit by a variety of AT projectiles. MOst exploded and caused minor disconfort, but the surprising result was the PIAT: the spring fired HE projectile scored a direct hit on the turret joint, detonating the rounds inside and throwing the turret off. Not bad for a 1930s weapon.

The troops that followed through the gate met the assorted fire of the government forces: as well as the Springfield rifles, there were a couple of Thompsons, a few various assault rifles and even two Browning 1911 machine guns. These were quickly killing off the men rushing through, but lack of ammo would force them to retreat soon.

The president took aim and fired: the massive bullet shot from the barrel, passed straight through two enemy soliders before embedding itself in the helmet of the commisar standing boldly with his pistol drawn.

He reset the bolt, loaded another round and fired again at the enroaching commies.

Behind him, a mortor let rip, and caused the gateway ot collapse, blocking the commies. For now....
