Monran Imperial Shipyards, Phenixica Home System, Devenis III (Phenixican Homeworld)
The Meeting room was full of buzz and excitement, The Empire was finally at peace and there were no military threats. Both governments have sent representatives to meet and they have discided that it was time to restart the exploration program, The whole reason the inter-galactic wargates were made in the first place.
The Representatives were as follows.
Empress Bianca Cook (on behalf of Emperor Belcameron II)
Yuro Talin: High Senator of Colonial Trade (to talk about the problems of supplying any new colonies outside the galaxy)
Gergo Monran: High Commander of Colonial Defence (To organise the possible ships to be sent in the convoy to protect it from any possible threat)
They discided that about 6 ships were to be sent.
3 IREC class ships (Imperial Research and Escort Craft)
2 Transports
1 Imperial Destroyer
Mission
To found a new colony in the choosen galaxy to begin a long process of exploration, about 4000 people have volunteered to join. There brace Phenixican's must be able to self-sustained there colony in the time of 5 years, i feat never before tried (Time is about 10 years). The IREC have had half there weapons dismounted to make room for more passengers.
Goals
Short Term: Imperial Rule to be spread into a whole other solar system and to be able to make new alliances. To know the wonders of Exploration like our ancestors.
Long Term: To put the galaxy under Phenixican Influence and increase the money of the empire even further, To re-build our empire to it's former glory.
Problems facing
Convoy is Small and very possibly outgunned, there is no chance for reinforcements in the other galaxy and enemy contact is possible. Convoy has been given orders to escape into Hyper-Space if trouble does arrive, Also possible trouble in mounting another feat like this, Which could lead to labour shortages and the entire downfall of the colony.
