The slightly unwholesome Sen. Sulla speaks up from his table,

"Try International Incidents, or NS. This thread is for delegate socializing, getting drunk, or playing mah-jongg with the Kawaiian Catgirls(if they ever come back, after being scared silly)."

LibeRomania, go to the thread you quoted in your first post and post a reply asking them if they will sell to you. Or choose another storefront from HotRodia's list, here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=380381).

If you're into serious military RP, you really should read the sticky (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=437653) from which this example was taken and follow up at least some of the links it gives.

Aww you mods need the updated list. In my sig is a link to the worldwide storefront directory. Many of the storefronts on HotRodias list have gone inactive, and the newest ones aren't listed.

Consolidated storefront lists sometime get out of date (some listed are no longer operating), or are new (Don't list all active storefronts).

*Notes that I'm listed under "H", and that my front needs some cleaning in order to better compete with Leafansi again...

They also sometimes are listed without refferance to the tech level they sell to (In PMT, advanced Modern weapons are generally sold at insanely low prices, so if the 'nice' stuff is cheap, it's either soviet, underpriced, or in a PMT storefront)
(PMT= Post-Modern Tech [2020-2200])

So don't feel bad when you buy from the Khurganate Forge Worlds and get invaded by Imperial stormtroopers in the next RP.

BTW, support your young upstarting storefronts.
Until you want more NS/exotic type weaponry that is.
Although you should make sure their prices are more on par with the NS market.
(A $5 automatic pistol? add a few more zeroes ($50.00-$500.00)
And feel free to suggest improvements to the storefront creators/managers.

Another good way to find storefronts, is through the 'search feature, or viewing the 'signatures' of nations that have their own lines of weapons.

Your country naturally produces its own products (this includes weaponry) every day. It's just up to you to determine what kind of weaponry: some people use RL (Real Life) weapons, some take RL weaponry and just adjust their stats a little and give them different names, and others completely create their own weapons, some even going so far as to pretty much completely design them online. The choice is yours.

To determine the amount of your country's military output, check your economy status on a GDP caluclator. I've taken the liberty to get your economic status, which you can find ...

Here (http://nsdossier.texasregion.net/main.aspx).

Hope that helps a little.

and having acces to other features needs any other things to make?
Hurtful Thoughts
02-08-2007, 17:57
Make?

You mean, design your own weapons and such?
Nation States Draftroom helps with that.
http://z4.invisionfree.com/NSDraftroom/index.php?act=idx

Or simply the domestic production of weaopns?
'Buy' Domestic Production Rights of a few weapons (RL is fair game, though)
Then figure out how many weapons is enough.

The newer NSD sorta helps with figuring stuff like that out, though not too much.

i mean where should i register for this features
Hurtful Thoughts
03-08-2007, 02:31
Tips head to the side and speaks in a slow, puzzled tone:
Register?
Special features?

In all seriousness, there are no special features, except for the ones you invent in your mind and type down on your computer.

(If you don't put it down where others can see, how are they to ever know? and that wouldn't be fair)

"The system" is generally pretty well structured.
First there is the factbook, pretty much a repository of IC (in character/fictional) history of our nation, a basic to advanced description of your NS nation, and a quick rundown of your military and prominent people (all fake/invented)

Sorefronts are pretty much threads that market your eventually invented (and hopefully NSD approved) wares, and maybe those of other nations.

Wars, trading and pretty much everything you can consider an action of your nation (or some group within) goes in II (International Incedents).

In short, all the registrationing seems to already be done (aside from NSD, but that isn't completely necessary if you stay firmly in reality and have a good [k, excellent] grasp on how everything works)

Then there are different catagories of RP: These are divided by 5 different criteria.
1: scale
A> Character RP
B> Nation RP
c> Group/squad RP

2:type
A>OOC discussion
B>Storefronts and Factbooks
C> IC stuff
D> Monolouges, or 'Logs'

3: Tech
1>Past Tech
2>Modern Tech
3> Post Modern Tech
4> Future Tech (think star wars)
5> Fantasy tech (Think Warcraft)

4: 'Group'
1> Mainstream
2> Alternate Earth (Playing with a smaller set number of nations rather than 'the mob')
3> Just for kicks and giggles

5: Availablity
A>Open
B>Closed
C>Semi-Open
D>Invite only
E>TG first for permission

None of the threads in II are sub-divided based on these catagories, so if you get into a thread, keep track of it and don't let it get away from you. (or else it'll get lost [note: remember the URL, or do a thread search])
----------
To get everything started:
Go to II
This place (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=1230)
And click "New Post"
And start typing.
That's about it.

Don't make "New post" to repost roughly the same thing, it starts a new thread, and making redundant threads be spam. Instead, press "Reply [to thread]", you can also make links to single posts/replies within a thread.
(you already seem to know this, though I do recall one recent player who thought every one of his 'one post' designs for his storefront desserved its own thread)

And please, don't take on the world on the first day, and take losses when shot at, in turn, don't tell your enemy what he losses when you shoot him [though you can describe what the destructive effect should be].

You're gonna make it:

Well.. you had the right idea earlier, it was a bit too flashy though for my tastes, but that's just me I suppose.

K....
slower walkthrough.
"How to sell things to people"

Make storefront, (the sign, the door, your own rules for buying, etc) on one thread
No need to have everything on the first post (or on the first try, you can edit it later)
.
Post replies (resserve these for your products and product lists)
.
Optional:
Make a thread of purely detailed stat blocks (one item per reply), and link each post (URL found in upper right, that number) to the item on the products.
-That way, when they visit the front, they click thelink on products listings, and then see the full stat block. But not when they don't want to see it.
-Be sure to put the title of the item in question in each reply, so that an incorrect link is easily found
.
Tell the storefront directory (put a link to storefront in reply)
.
Wait for customers.
.
Improve store as you learn more

Other methods of marketing:
1. Advertise to nations seeking weapons, offer suggested items to buy, but be honest and helpful, or you'll get a bad reputation.

2. Throw another link to your front on signature

3. Bumping

Note:
Some people are wary of unrealistic designs.

Edit:
Would you like me to add posts to your new storefront (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=534552)?

Quick comparrission:
Which kind of storefront will most people go to and buy stuff from?
PROHT Storefront (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=476754) (no, you cannot buy it)
Leafansi's "Universal" storefront (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=489651) (Again, don't even bother asking to buy them out, you'll get nuked)

Notice that both atempt to introduce themselves, then present an outline of what you'll find there, then goes on a well ordered list of items for sale.

Usually with the entire first page consisting entirely by posts made by the store owner.

You dont "sell" things per se. Other people buy those things. That is your sale. You dont just say "I sold 300 guns today," unless someone actually bought 300 guns.
