Well decent grammar and spelling helps sometimes, as it's easier to understand another person better, lad :)

Okay you are doing it backward, you are dedicating a new thread to OOC while you take an old thread where OOC is utterly rampant and are going to use it as your IC thread
... Okaay...

Normally the sign up thread is the ooc thread, and the four page thread he started for sign ups is riddled with OOC and scuse my bluntness crap posts. I suggested that he start a IC thread - leaving the old thread as the ooc thread, you have to wade though it to try and find any posts of worth, so why keep it as the IC thread?

In any event, how will we RP the courses being taught? Would anyone actually have any RL experience in the study area to teach someone else (or tutor)? That is, how would someone RP a course on say, music theory, or programming in a particular language, or US govt. & politics, etc.?

Secondly, these teachers who will teach, what will be the standard RP wise, to give grades to students?

Any ideas?

I think often we just need to assume it takes place.

We can't assume. Assumptions can't be made in RP, especially like this one.

I mean like this:

Syku did not particularily like linear algebra because of the weird symbols the teacher would use, the dronish voice in which he talks and the fact that the classes are at 7:30 am, but she just sighed, grabbed her bag and headed off to class. She smiled sympathetically at her classmates who seemed to feel the same. {some interactions between the students} Eventually the teacher came in, closed the door and started droning on about things she'd have to read up later on her own. Barely staying awayke, she was saved by the bell, the one indicating the next class.

We will have teachers though, as characters as well. Whomever will play the teachers will need to find a way to RP teaching the classes. Same with grading. That's what I meant...

The classes organization wont be happening for a little while. Until then, just RP your char rooming, hanging out, etc with the others. :)

Maybe grading can be scorinated. Base factors would be talent, preparation, psychology and chance. For talent, I'd say a certain amount of points can be distributed on the courses, preparation is the time, you sepnd learning and psychology is how nervous sou would be during the exam.

I think she's (?) referring to a method like the "scorination" on NS sports. I don't RP in that arena, so I can't explain any further than that.

It's called scoring in sports, not scorination :P

Um-quick question-when are we gonna rp?

Scoring is wrong even though increasingly common. It's "scorination" since that word comes from "score-generation".

I thought we can create an OpenOffice table where some stats of each student is entered (and every student has a fixed amount of points to distribute) and this table generates the results of the exams.

Okay, I can provide a teacher for economy (related to what I study IRLly). He would be HURDist, knowledgeable in capitalist and communist systems while not believing in either. He's slightly absent-minded, but at least not having such a horrible accent as a rejistani would. I would not really like to sign up a teacher for a subject for a subject I have a student in.
