It is nearing that time. The parties are preparing, selecting those who will make a run for Presidency and Vice Presidency. The national and international debates are nearing, and its time to announce those who will be officially running over the next year. (OOC: Roughly 1 RL month)

About the Candidates:
Hiro Ando IV and Tanner Kilo Classical Libertarian
Hiro Ando IV, a decendent of the great Hiro "Chiefy" Ando, is a only 24 years of age. He helped fight and lead forces in Africa against the imperialist invasion. While he did not command much in the fighting - most of the invasion has ended by this time - he was looked upon with high regards by ViZionarians across the nation.
His beliefs are that ViZion's military must grow in strength, numbers, training, and equipment. He has seen, first hand, what happens when his country stopped upgrading its forces. He also is strongly against a large and omnipresent government and he wishes to cut government spending.
Tanner Kilo, the current President of ViZion, is looking to become Vice President of ViZion behind Hiro Ando IV. He was put into power in the latter part of the war against the imperialists - which has since been dubbed the "Decade War" - however it was to late to do much. He is viewed extremely highly by ViZionarians, and is very popular and well liked by many in the international community. He is widely accepted as the President to oversee ViZion's return to a power, however many fault him for not doing enough to improve the equipment of the ViZionarian military - a large suprise being that he was a General at one time.

Arnold Jeeves is quickly becoming a favorite - along with Hiro Ando - by environmentalists across ViZion. He is well known for speaking out against big business that polutes. He is also said to be one of the major forces, along with President Kilo, in pushing ViZion towards becoming completely - or mostly - green.
Martin Willis is, simply put, a newbie when it comes to the political arena. While he has studied it and been very active in voting and as an activist, he has never run for a position on any level until now. At the age of 28, he's the youngest Vice President candidate, and the second youngest involved here, behind only Hiro.

He is, hands down, the most favored candidate in the democratic party for the position, beating out everyone else single handedly.
Mark Walters is well known for his theories on various happenings, nationally and globally. Having a view on everything, he sometimes gets himself into trouble with what he says. He will either be a blessing or will doom the democratic party in this election.

This ex-Marine may be aging, but he's still fisty and fiery, speaking his mind and making his point VERY clear - rather with action or words, or both.
Terry Jackson, in the mean time, was a Captain on three different Battle Cruisers and, during the Decade War, an aircraft carrier, one of the few that managed to make it through without being destroyed. He is much like Jack in the fact he will make his point clear and speak his mind.
