IDF Factpage
Home System: Primus
OVERVIEW: A 10 planet star system with an F5 class main-sequence star. Primus I is a class F planet, which is full of valuable ores. It is unhabited, but has been used for mining of dilithium. Primus II is a volcanic class N planet. Primus III is an M Class planet and serves as the capital of IDF. Primus IV is a class O planet, which has been colonized. Primus V is a class K planet, which has undergone terraforming and is inhabited. Primus VI, VII, VIII, and IX are all gas giants. Primux X is a class D planet. It is being considered for possible terraforming in the future.
STARFLEET FACILITIES: Primus is home to Starfleet Headquarters on Primus III. Starfleet Academy is a four year cadet training school which teaches prospective officers leadership, tactics, and engineering. San Francisco Fleet Yards is the only military shipyard operated for Starfleet. It is in orbit of Primus III. Plans are in the works for Primus V to get a larger shipyard to take over new projects. Starbase 1 is in orbit of Primus III. It is a large spacedock facility which serves both military and civilian uses. It has a large enclosed docking hangar, which can fit dozens of large starships. Most refer to the facility as Primus Spacedock. Starbases 2, 3, and 4 are on the outskirts of the Primus system and serves as military outposts with large sensor arrays, weapons, and facilities for military vessels.
Civilian Ports: Primus III, IV, and V each have large civilian docking facilities for dealing with civilian shipping. Both passengers and cargo can be accommodated at these large facilities.
Colonized System: Altair
OVERVIEW:Altair is a younger 6 planet system with a A5 class white dwarf. Altair I is an uninhabited class H desert world in close orbit to the star. Altair II is a class O planet, which has been colonized. Altair III is a class M planet which has also been colonized. It serves as the capital for the Altair System. Altair IV is a class H planet, which is covered by a surface comparable to an icy tundra. Colonization of this world will be commenced after terraforming is completed. Altair V is a large class S gas giant. Altair VI is another class S gas giant.
Starfleet Facilities: Starbase 5 is a large spacedock facility catering to military and civilian vessels. It is in orbit of Altair III. Starbase 6 is a smaller repair and maintenance facility in orbit of Altair IV
Civilian Ports: Altair II and III each have civilian docking stations similar to those orbiting Primus's planets. Altair IV will have one constructed following the colonization of the planet.

Ships with EXV registries are low-warp vessels powered by fusion reactors. Their max speed is about warp factor 3.
Ships with NCC registries are high-warp vessels powered by matter/anti-matter reactors. They are capable of breaking the warp 5 barrier.
