Brief History of Canadstein

A land of vast distances and rich natural resources, the Kingdom of Canadstien was founded on January 29, 1492 after the all the small Kingdoms united under one King and one flag. It was not until December 21, 1663 the Canadstein that we know came into existence. On that date King George IV, the current ruler of the Kingdom of Canadstein, accepted the new constitution, which is still used today and barely unchanged, which allowed the Republic of Canadstein to come into existence. From that date on the King and Queen were still bellowed by their people, but severely had their powers limited. During the month of March and April of 1664 a nationwide election took place. James G. Blaine, of the Liberal Party, was elected the first President of Canadstein. For the next two hundred years the strength of the Republic grew and it became a power in the world's politics.

This quickly came to an end in 1873. Starting in 1870 Canadstein was fought in the Kazan-Krasnodar War. The war was bloody and the many thought that Canadsteinians were dying for nothing. At the end of the War, John Logan was elected President. President Logan vowed to keep Canadstein out of the affairs of other countries. To keep to his promise he ended all foreign relations with all other countries, but they still kept up trade. All embassies were closed within and outside the country. President Logan declared that Canadstein was a neutral country in the world's politics. Since then Canadstein has remained neutral, but has still prospered. Though recently there has been talk about opening up Canadstein to the world's politics again.
