Pembrey Beach, British Londinium

The blue waves of the Ganapatian Sea gently washed over the silky sands of Pembrey Beach. The city was regarded of one of the finest tourist spots in the nation of British Londinium, famed for its posh golf courses, beautiful terrain, accommodating weather, and stylishly luxurious shops and restaurants. But, today, the Londinian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cecilia Belladini, hoped that Pembrey Beach would be renowned for brokering a peace between Order of America and Urcea, two nations, which, for some reason, had irreconcilable differences. Invitations had been sent out to the leaders of all nations involved in the latest American-Urcean spat, and hopefully they would attend. But, in the meantime, Cecilia sat in the empty conference room, gazing out the large glass windows that overlooked Pembrey Beach's beautiful scenery as she absentmindedly sipped a glass of Vernaccia Basin rum.

Urcea, not involved in the conflict but having been invited anyway, attends.

The OoA Will attend, but I have no clue how we will make peace with a rebel force who is not affiliated with any nation.

OOC: Well, since I've come to understand that you, ICly, are saying Urcea is behind the rebels, I chose to host a peace conference...if that's not the case, though, just ignore this.

He I beleive has encouraged the Maldorians against our Nation and was responsible for not fully withdrawing his men(the rebel remnant). I also think that it would be Necessary to invite a rebel because they are supposedly a separate entity from Urcea

Colonel Armas (a Loyalist) will attend.

In international law a protectorate is a political entity that is formally in an unequal relationship with another, stronger state, called the protector, which engages to protect it (diplomatically or, if needed, militarily) against third parties, in exchange for which the protectorate usually accepts specified obligations, which may vary greatly, depending on the real nature of their relationship.

Thus "protectorate" is not just another word for a state, although Lyras is, indeed, a state. The land that consitutes the state that is known as the Protectorate of Lyras is itself the protected party, and Lyras, as a people and culture, are the party that provides the protection to the protectorate.

The state that is Lyras is, in other words, a protectorate of the people of Lyras, subordinate to it, and yet benefiting from the people's protection.

As a consequence of this unusual arrangement, the people of Lyras hold their obligation to defend those who seek protection very seriously. Seriously enough, in fact, that the entirety of Lyran society is based upon the premise that honourable defence of those who seek it is the highest calling.

The situation on the North American continent, the nearest continent to the North Altantically-located Storn Archipelago, is becoming increasingly unstable, and as an interested nearby power, Lyras has prepared a sizeable task group, consisting of the 2nd, 8th, 12th and 54th Army Groups, and aproximately 12,000 combat aircraft of varying types.

Further, I intend to attend this peace conference myself, so as to add Lyran input into these talks.

Air Force Five to Pembrey Beach Requesting Permission To land. Air Force Five had left the Order of America 8 hours ago and had to fly out of it way do to the Hostility if the Maldorians against all OoA Aircraft. It was Finally here with Ambassador Kong on board.

OOC: Oh, I thought this was dead.

OOC: OoA, just have the president enter the room. And I need the delegates from other countries/the rebels to show up as well.

We have Patiently awaited the Commencement of The Peace conference. If the Conference does not Commence by 2:00 Eastern Time on Saturday August 4th, My nation will continue in our Military Operations against the Rebellion.

General Wallins' arrival was nondescript, although his presence was not. Lyran attendance at conferences was borderline unheard of, and to offer Lyran forces in peacekeeping/peace enforcing roles was similarly out of character.

Yet Wallins was here, and would do what he could to ensure the situation stabilised.

It wouldn't do to have instability this close to Lyran territory.

General Quagmire entered the conference room flanked by his two guards. He sat down and waited for the conference to begin.

We will be sending a representative, by one of little importance to us. He will arrive shortly.

The Colonel looked at both Aurum Domus's representative and Urcea's representative with disgust as he sat down.

General Quagmire noted the look of a disgust on the face of the Urcean scum and mentally added him to his To Kill list. If this conference broke down, he would be sure to kill this sneering scum.

OOC: Don't call him Urcean.

OOC: What is he then?

General Wallins nodded curtly to the arrivals, and kept his counsel, although the rancour pouring off the participants was leaving an acrid aftertaste to the air.

He made a mental note to buy some breath mints.

OOC: Loyalist. Urcea =/= Loyalist.

Urcea is not in this war.

Ambassador Kong sat down in the room, Looking around at The other Ambassadors. He acknowledged The Delegates from Aurum Domus and Lyras and sat down. He then began to play connect the Dots on a small peace of paper that appeared from his Suit.
