To provide some more background of families and the parents of the characters so as to give you guys something to do and also to provide insight into the background of all the characters' families and such so as to make things more clear.

My guy doesn't like talking about his past-he's really Prince Ryan Getzlaf. But y'all don't know that. When his dad dies, he'll be the monarch for the Getzlaf family, as there's four different families. Which means if he dies, there will be a huge uproar in the VDB.

The Family Arcano

~ " Dad?"

" Yes, Elario?"

" Dad, what can you tell me about us? About the Arcanos, I mean?"

" Well, have a seat: it's quite a story, actually ..."

" Oh! I have time, don't worry!"

" Ha, I know you do, Elario. You're only fourteen years old: time is all you sould have! So, where to begin ..."

The Arcanos, a prestigious family in the magical community, were, for the longest time, Pure Bloods up until Nicodermo Arcano's marriage to a Non-Magi. Based in the nation of Nueve Italia, the Arcanos have always been seen as wise, courageous, a bit brash, but ultimately extremely loyal and friendly. The line stretches back to the Middle Ages, starting with Octavius Arcanus: the first member of the family who had discovered his magical ability.

From there, the family grew on, each generation marrying another Pure Blood to ensure magical dominance and status. Almost always a leading member of the Magical Community, the Blood Wars drove the Arcanos apart from one another; In fact, in the last War, Nico Arcano was forced to kill his own sister, Sabrina. Such an event caused Nico to give up on life with magic, instead deciding to settle down with Elena Franccini. Their only child, Elario, was shielded from his father's world for as long as possible, that is, until Elario's own powers began to manifest themselves.

Elario follows in the footsteps of many powerful Wizards and Witches. Both his father, Nico, and aunt, Sabrina, were top-mark students in their days at the school he now attends, but such people show that Elario himself is conflicted within: Whilst his father had preached to him understanding and compassion, Pure Blood fanaticsm, even though he isn't one, is something that Elario can't ignore: his father killed to stop it, and many more of his family members killed for it. Indeed, Nico himself was dis-owned from his family when he married outside of the Community, but it troubled him not: he and Elena's love and caring for one another stretched much farther than Magic could ever reach.

In relation to his relatives (most of them dead), Elario can trace his line back to leaders of the Blood Wars, as well as the brave men and women who stood against them. The Arcanos have, in these battles, actually conducted a minor genocide of their own line: Brothers, Sisters, Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Cousins, and so on have fought and killed one another on the battlefield, thus leading to the great reduction of the Arcano Family Line. To Nico, he knows that his only living closest relative is Basilio Arcano: Elario's Uncle who has no children or wife of his own.

Recently, Nico Arcano has heard of rumors of the gathering of The Eagle's Army, of which he used to be a member (a strong member, it should be noted). Knowing that the Eagle's only form when a threat grows close, he has decided to seek them out once more, knowing full well the danger he was putting himself and his family into, but also knowing that not finding them could be much, much deadlier.

Vex's parents are simple farmers that know only an average amount about magic and use even less (just little bits to help out around the house and farm). Past his grandparents, three of whom were dead before Vex was born, almost nothing is known about the Lockhart family or bloodline (aside from being pure by everyone's estimation) by those that survive it.
