Vitalita Internationa Airport (VIA) is ViZion's - and the worlds - largest airport. Serving over 1.42 billion travellers daily, it is the busiest in the world. VIA is located just south of Vitalita, ViZion.

There are 560,161,612 gates current in usage at Vitalita International Airport!

It is the busiest, and was originally designed based on ViZion City International Airport (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=367663), which, unfortunately, is no longer around after ViZion Italia was taken over by hostile Doomani forces.

Specs on VIA:
VIA covers roughly 110,000 square miles - it is like its own state. There is enough room for companies to buy plots of land for stores, hotels, even a mall! It is large enough to be seen from space with ease and is shaped like a "V", so day or night, you can spot where ViZion is by looking for the V.

In the Sectors and Mega Sectors, there's room enough for a zoo and a small amusement park, as well!

Currently, there are (built):
Mega-Sectors: 40 (Total: 640 million gates)
Sectors: 116 (Total: 1.856 billion gates)
Concourses: 100 (Total: 8 million gates)
Terminals: 200 (Total: 80,000 gates)
Gates: 200 individual gates (Upto 5 per airline)
Arrival Runways: 22
Departure Runways: 22
Small plots: 2000
Medium plots: 1000
Large plots: 500
Mall plots: 200
Small hotels: 500
Medium hotels: 500
Large hotels: 250
Large hangers: 1000
Hangers: 4000

Security Measures:
All vehicles (buses and taxi's included) along with walkins will be thoroughly searched, including all baggage. Again, before entering the buildings, they will be searched.

At the checkin desks, all baggages will be thoroughly searched. When checked in, travellers will head to the security checkpoints. All people will be searched, as well as the baggage. These reside right behind the check-in areas, around the wall.

As you head on into a mega-sector, sector, concourse, or terminal, again, the same search will happen. Once again, it will happen at the gate before entering onto the flight.

When picking up your checkin bags, they will be checked before you leave the enclosed area to make sure they are yours. At the same place, you will go through strict customs, not allowing any food or beverages past that point. (Domestic flights go through a seperate area.)

All airlines are required to agree to the following, or will be banned from flighting to ViZion: Required Security Measures (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=360277).

There are also two VIA police/security stations per Mega-Sector and one per Sector.

Transportation/Convenience/Comfort:
A massive subway system links the entire airport, from one end of the terminal to the other, from one part of the Sector to another. There are also moving sidewalks, courtesy vans that will drive you to where you need to go.

VITS (Vitalita International Transport System) all that, and more. The physicly handicapped are driven to where they need to go. Once you're cleared through all security coming into the city, you will take the subway to one of four locations: Taxi/Bus pickups, car rentals, car/van pickups, or the two rail systems - localRAIL and XRAIL. Those walking off will be taking to the car/van pickup area.

Both Vitalita's localRAIL and the national XRAIL rail systems are accessable at VIA.

Expansion:
We are working on adding an additional 22 arrival and 22 departure runways, effectively doubling the current amount we have. We are looking into adding an additional six each after that for a total of 50 arrival and 50 departure runways.

Construction Updates:
We are at the beginning of adding 22 new arrival and 22 new departure runways.

Did you purchase a Mega-Sector, Sector, Concourse, or Terminal?
If so, tell us what you've done to customize it! Did you add a zoo? Maybe an amusement park. Possibly a 50-screen theater? Whatever you've done to it, tell us how you've customzed it!

All airlines coming into this airport (and all others within ViZion) have agreed to meet our minimum security measures here: Required Security Measures They may go above and beyond, but that is the minimum.
