A Brief History...

The history of the country that was up until June 1950 known as Franc is a complex and rich one. A battle fighting nation, they warred with many neighbours, and at some points had the largest colonial Empire in the world, stretching from Western Europe to Vietnam. However, wars with neighbouring nations in their colonials and politic unrest of the people, who demanded freedom, saw for the Franco Commission of the Fate of the Republic (FCFR) to be formed. From 1940 to late 1949 they took evidence, visited the countries ruled by the Franc country and finally put forward the recommendation to the current President of the Franc Republic, Émile Ollivier, that they set a goal of forming a new Confederation of states ruled by the Franc Republic that where willing to remain by a target of 1962.

But the change came quicker, and by May 1950 all nineteen states ruled by the Franc Republic had to make the choice whether they would stay and reap the benefits of the Confederation of the nations, the benefits were in the Franco Confederation New Constitution, or go it alone. Sadly, many chose the later, though are part of new Federations or states currently as well. But France (& Corsica) managed to maintain control of Belgium, Singapore and Andorra, and put in place a new set of guidelines that created equal, Social Democratic states ruled by an elected Ministry. Since then, the Franco Confederations main goals which they have reached or not yet can be seen in their motto - Peace; they maintain peaceful relations with all and try not to intervene in conflicts - Prosperity; they are one of the richest, most politically influential nations in the world, and there citizens have high earnings - and Power...

We are interested in improving ties with your nation, mostly due to the fact you control a waterway which although is not vitally important to us, is useful and highly taxed. We know you have the right to tax your waterways as high as you want, but perhaps if you lowered the tax the Franco Confederation must pay, say halve it, in exchange for us lowering tariffs on Franco goods - something we could both benefit on. As for an military alliance, knowing so little about your nation we feel to jump into one of them would be unwise, though we are open to listen to what your plans for an economic alliance would be.
