D. Economy:

Overview: Lachenburg is a high-income, burgeoning market with an abundant supply of natural resources; well-developed financial, legal, communications, energy, and transport sectors; a stock exchange that ranks among the largest in the world; and a modern infrastructure supporting an efficient distribution of goods to major urban centers throughout the region. However, growth has not been strong enough to remedy Lachenburg's staggering wealth disparity - especially among its disadvantaged minority groups. Lachenburgian economic policy is primarily laissez-faire in nature and fiscally conservative in practice but pragmatic focusing on targeting inflation and liberalizing trade as means to increase household income and socio-economic equality.

The Four Princes of the VDB
Lachenburg
26-07-2007, 22:51
To the Honourable Gentlemen of Mention:

His Royal Highness' Government welcomes the establishment of a VDB diplomatic presence within the Grand Duchy and thus approves the aforementioned request as a preliminary step in the establishment of permanent relations. We suggest Karlstaad be your government's primary location of said embassy, due to its proximity to the location of the central government. However, consulates and embassies may be designated in any major city.

As per your request of a Free Trade Agreement, the proposal shall be brought before Parliament for their approval. Nevertheless, as an adherent to liberal policies of trade, Lachenburg's customs and duties are far from prohibitive.

We thank you for your request.

Signed,
