Special Envoy Sir Marshall Adan had been chosen by Minister of Foreign Affairs and approved by the Republican Council to open relations with The Constitutional Federal Republic of ViZion. Relations had been explored in the past, but not5 much had come of it.

The Special Envoy's single Marathon SST landed in Vitalita International Airport, more or less on time, carrying only the Envoy and his assistant. Sir Marshall made last minute preparations and looked over his list of concerns as the jet taxied to it's final destination and then prepared for whatever welcome was prepared for him.

He put on his sunglasses as the transport door opened and motioned for his assistant to follow. "Let's go then, time to get to work."

Two limousine's, painted black on the lower half, while the ViZionarian flag is painted on the hood, truck, pillars, and roof, pulled up about 50 feet from the plane.

Out stepped Sean Higgins, a ViZionarian diplomat. The armed guards stood by the vehicles, for the safety of both parties.

"Welcome to ViZion!" Sean announced to Adan.

Sir Marshall, a tall man in his late fifties to early sixties in a dark suit and and tie exits the jet and walks down the ramp towards the greeting party. He extends his hand to Mr. Higgins.

"Good afternoon, I am Special Envoy Sir Marshall Adan, it is a pleasure to meet you and visit your nation. This is my assistant Earl Conroy."

He shakes Mr. Higgins hand and nods politely to the guards, with Mr. Conroy following suit. Sir Marshall continues.

"I look forward to exploring normalizing relations between our two nations."

Sir Marshall nods as he follows Mr. Higgins "About as pleasant as flights can go I would imagine."

He and Mr. Conroy follow Mr. Higgins to the limousine and make themselves comfortable. "So, who will I be meeting with to discuss the relations between our nations?"

"I will be attending this meeting, however Jon Blair will be the one to lead it on our side." He then pointed to the various drinks, "Something to drink? It's going to be about half an hour before we arrive. This is a big city." Sean said.

Sir Marshall nodded "Very good. I will have a scotch and soda if it isn't too much trouble?"

He looked out the window as they got under way "Great Lassic has over one hundred and ten million residents, it's a long drive to and from any of the airports there as well."

"Ahh, yes..." Sean began, "ViZion City was much the same. Alas, Vitalita is a very fast growing city. It's now upto about 60 million residence within city limits, and just keeps growing." he said as he handed Sir Marshall his drink.

"Is this your first visit to ViZion?"

Sir Marshall accepted the drink "Thank you. Yes this is my first visit. It is the first visit of any Vaadian official I believe. I know it has been talked about before, but both of our nations have had their various distractions that have kept such discussions from progressing to this point."

"Yes, and I'm glad we have this chance to meet finally."

*small talk continues until they arrive*

"Sir Marshall, we are here." Sean said as they pull up to the curve, and the door is opened. Sean steps out.

In front of him stands a marble-slabbed building with the words Peace and Glory engraved in it, gold shimmering in the sun as it glances off the inside part of the engraving. The building was six stories tall, and a full two large city blocks long. Massive oak doors were being pulled open for their entrance.

Sir Marshall nods and follows Mr. Higgins out of the car and Mr. Conroy follows Sir Marshall who nods as they head up to the doors.

"Most impressive. Does your seat of government have any special name? In the Free Republic the chambers of the Republican Council is The House of the Republic."

Both men dutifully follow Mr. Higgin's lead, eager to begin talks.

"Yes, and we simply refer to it as 'Our House'. Sean Higgins said, snickering a little, amused at his... humour.

As they entered the building, a massive grand staircase stood ahead of them, and it split in two to as it curved around above them, the ceiling could be seen 120 feet above them as they neared the staircase. The ceiling had been painted dark blue, with white text stating Peace and Glory once again.

Sir Marshall nods again, taking the sight of the decoration and the high ceiling and staircase, he does not seem to take notice of Mr. Higgin's joke. He follows Mr. Higgins as they proceed.
