...Even today, there are a certain few Catholic nations who feel the need to execute other Christians for their beliefs. Would Christ want this? No! This is madness! Anyone who commits violence in the name of God is a hypocrite who perverts the word of God! For violence is contrary to the nature of God, according to our Pope. There is no religion on earth today without skeletons in the closet. Who are we to judge other faith traditions that do not harm others? Only God is to judge, lest we forget the words of Jesus. Judge not lest ye be judged! He who is sinless, cast the first stone! I call on Cardinal Marco, my archbishop, the Archbishop of Carmel, to apologize for heinous crimes commited by his predecessors! However, I also praise him for his working with the Protestants, I call on Bishop O'Malley of Innocent to cease his criticism of our Anglican brothers for petty details! I condemn absolutely the cowards, the Bishops of Gens Romae who continue their inquisition* in this day and age! Finally, I applaud Bishop Cesari of Berchman for his work in the Ecumenical field. After over hearing this rant by Fr. Sean Fitzgerald I, Aimless von Strangaild, would like to congradulate him on a very level-headed and exccllent rant. The nation of Zackaroth agrees with him. We are a nation built on Christian values and morals. We respect other sects of Christianty and other religons. We are not as so foolish as some other nations to use God's name as a tool to kill. The Human Order Condemns the Catholic Inquisition

This intolerable nonsense is simply another episode of corrupted organized religion wreaking terror upon the human race in order to expand it's own control over this planet. Father Sean Fitzgerald released the Gens Romae reply to the international press. A CRNN clip was also include din the package.

Father Sean Fitzgerald, standing on the step of a stone church, began, "First and foremost I would like to thank those who have backed me on this. Secondly, I would like to point out to the Imperator that he was threatened a priest in good standing with the Catholic Church with violence. Violence commited on a priest is contrary to church law. Secondly, my own Archbishop was criticized, and yet he supprots my right to speak as I choose." He laughed, "Though if one of the other Ridgian bishops was over me, Bishop O'Malley, I may very well have had to take off my collar by now. Let me close by saying that the Imperator has no clue what modernism is. In my view, the greatest ehresy is that of hatred."

We warn Gens Romae against doing anything that would compromise the national sovereignty of Cherry Ridge, or in any way harm her citizens, Catholic or non. Cherry Ridge, being a state of the Greater Prussian Empire, will not have her honour spat in the face of by nations like yours.

Any attempt to forcibly seize a Ridgian citizen will be treated as an attack on a Prussian citizen, and will be dealt with harshly. We demand that Gens Romae back down in its threats, or further action will be taken to defend Cherry Ridge from foreign aggressors.

The Archbishop of Florence and the Imperator of Rome stand together on the Rostra (an outdoor public podium) in Rome. Before them are thousands of people waiting to hear them speak. The Imperator faces the Archbishop, bowing from the waist, symbolically ratifying with the powers of the Roman State all that the spiritual authority is to proclaim. The Archbishop blessed the Imperator, at which point in time the Imperator descends from the Rostra, surrounding himself with gaurds.

The Archbishop faces the crowd and adresses them:

The Archbishop:

"My friends, we are not one among many. We are the only sure path to Salvation. Protestantism is not merely another form of Christianity. It is a rebellion against Our Holy Mother the Church. It is an abomination, it is a perversion of the Truth that we each hold so dear.

My friends, as the Lord sayeth according to St. Luke, one cannot both love Him yet hate His Church and His Clergy. And indeed, in societies where Our Holy Catholic Faith is publically known, proclaimed, and followed by the vast majorities, the proclomation of the Protestant lie poses a dangerous threat to the immortal souls of all to whom it is proclaimed. And as Our Lord sayeth, though we fear not him who harmeth the body, we fear him who harmeth the soul. Therefore, if it is fitting that murderers die, then so too must heretics who proclaim heresy, which killeth the soul.

Therefore, by virtue of my Apostolic Authority, I hereby excommunicate Fr. Fitzgerald from Our Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. May the Christian faithful at every point avoid him, and treat him as a Heathen and a Publican. Furthermore, if at any point Fitzgerald enters Rome, he is to be seized and placed under arrest. Furthermore, he is hereby blacklisted, and, whether in Rome or anywhere else, may be slain by any who see him. The canonical penalty barring violence on a priest do not apply at this point to this excommunicate.

That is all."

ooc: You do know your archbishop has no authority over my priest? The only person who can excommunicate him is his own ordinary or the Pope. Just want to double check to make sure you know that he has no authority over him and it would be an invalid excommunication, unless you are RPing as an antipope or something.

The Catholic Church dioceses in Derscon does not hold Gens Romae's statement to be binding, as only the Bishop of the man-in-question's diocese, or the Holy Father Himself, may excommunicate a priest.

As you are neither the Bishop of Father Fitzgerald, nor the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, the excommunication edict is invalid. It is interesting that a so-called 'Catholic' order would be so venomous to a priest that dares admit fault in the past and the present that it would violate its own rules to defame a fellow Father.

OOC: If you can figure that out, then you win nationstates. Some recognize this guy who is not inactive, some recognize the real life Pope, like me. I think most role play with the Pope just rubber stamping most things, or just not bring him up. Which is why I tend to avoid ecclesiastical arguments over punishments.

Commonwealth Media, an affiliate of The Londinian Broadcasting Group, takes a number of English language broadcasts to provide programming for their own customers.

A popular religious show called Catholicism Today shows a 20 minute segment on the controversy between Father Fitzgerald and the Inquisition. News of the controversy spreads like wildfire around the CCM in which a large segment of the population are Irish-Catholic.

CCM authorities are mystified the next day when their typically mellow population breaks out in angry protests disgusted by the excommunication of Father Fitzgerald. Crowds of angry protesters carrying signs surround Catholic churches all over the Commonwealth praying and chanting, "Father Fitzgerald for Pope" and "Excommunicate us too."

Thankfully, while angry and vocal, the protests are peaceful and quite well mannered. The protesters are composed of the sort of people who have never been to a protest before: doctors, laborers, professionals, cops, teachers, students.

After a long day of venting their anger over developments in their church, they sang a few hymns, prayed the Lord's prayer and went home.

The days events took place under the unblinking eye of Commonwealth Media which faithfully reported the protests to the rest of the world via The Londinian Broadcasting Group.

Father Fitzgerald sends his blessings to the crowd. He reminds them that the excommunication is invalid, and he will soon be attending talks with his Archbishop and that of Gens Romae to settle the matter. He thanks the protestors for remaining peaceful, as our Lord would do.

Father Sean Fitzgerald continues his pastoral duties at Old Saint Mary's Parish in South Carmel.

David Flower read the news and was rumored to have muttered the followind sentence,

"Thank God I'm an atheist."

The Archbishop of Florence arrives in the foreign empire, flanked by a priest on either side, each bearing several documents. He approaches the appointed place, and waits for his hosts.

The plane landed in the designated airport. From the steps descended a man dressed in a perfect black cassock, outlined in the scarlet red of a Cardinal. A matchnig scarlet cincture was around his waist, and a zuchetto sat atop his head. He was followed by an aide, in a plain black cassock and biretta. Following Cardinal Marco was Bishop Michael Cesari of the Diocese of Berchman. He was in a plain clerical suit, though a pectoral cross, smaller than the Cardinal's, hung from his neck. His episcopal ring was also a much simpler gold band, compared to the Cardinal's stone. He also had one aide, though his was a sister, instead of a priest. Finally, Bishop William O'Malley descended. He was in choir dress, biretta, and, unlike the others, was trailed by a long cappa magna, held above the ground by two priests. Two aides followed the two carrying his great cape. It was apparent he was more traditional than the other two.

Marco spoke for all of them, "Your Grace, it is good to meet you." He extended his hand, "I am Cardinal Marco." He motioned to Cesari, "This is Bishop Cesari, of the Diocese of Berchman." Cesari nodded, and frowned, while Marco continued, "And this is Bishop O'Malley of the Diocese of Innocent." He also nodded, and a slight smile showed he approved of the Archbishop.

From the plane, a priest dressed in a clerical suit was putting his jacket on as he descended down the steps. His collar hung loosely, apparent that he had been relaxing, and would attach it when the meeting actually began. He swiftly walked past the three Ridgian bishops, much to O'Malley visible disapproval, and extended his hand to the Archbishop. Apparently, he would not kiss his ring, "I'm Father Sean Fitzgerald! It is a pleasure to meet you."

The Archbishop kneels before the Cardinal, taking his hand, and kisses the ring upon his finger... "Hail O Prince of the Church." He rises to his feet, allowing his aids to adress the cardinal in the same way. Upon his aids doing so, he bows to the Cardinal, and addresses him:

"My fair liege, when I was ordained a bishop, the books of the Gospels were placed upon my shoulders, symbolically expressing that it is my solemn duty to ensure that the Gospel of Our Lord be proclaimed without error, without heresy, and in the spirit of Tradition.

You, my Cardinal, don the red vestments of your office, a sign of your willingness to have your blood spilt, as the martyrs, for Our Holy Mother the Church.

Therefore, the weight of our office presses upon us, and we must keep in mind what is in the best interests of the Church, of the immortal souls of the Faithful.

Shall we first invoke the Holy Spirit?"

Hello,

It is times like these that trouble me. Not only has one nation committed illegal acts, but an organization residing in that same nation threatemed the man who was speaking out against these violations. I would like to tell to the government of Gens Romane that genocide will not be seen lightly on the face of the Earth and whenever there is discrimination, people are watching. And you may be able to silence one man for preaching tolerence, it is impossible to silence a nation. Finally, I would like to leave you all with some quotes.

Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

I consider western Christianity in its practical working a negation of Christ’s Christianity.

"Admiral Jenkins, Commonwealth Fleet. No threats in our waters but some big task forces are moving back east of us."

"General Laird, Commonwealth Army. Our rangers took out another nest of pirates down on Tulavon. All quiet otherwise."

"Susan Reid, Commonwealth Militia. Today there were peaceful, country-wide protests over a controversy within the Catholic Church. Many people took the day off to participate. The crowds were exceptionally well behaved- one of our Captains remarked on his report that he wished all the protests went this well. If it hadn't been for the signs and banners, you might have thought that it was a summer holiday complete with barbecue and music."

Minister James looked up, "What's the potential for this thing to get out of hand?"

Reid replied, "We judge that to be quite low sir."

James nodded and remarked, "You realize that the casus bellifor the majority of the wars in our history have been religious?"

Reid asked, "Well what can we do about it."

James replied, "Exactly nothing. We push either side, we become their enemy. As a government under our Constitution, we are officially neutral in any religious affairs and we stick to that line like glue and hope if it goes up in flames, it doesn't stick to us."

James replied, "There are many hot spots in the world and even open conflicts. In my judgment, this could possibly be the worst. Not only that, but he attacked the old Inquisition, which existed in a time in which the Protestant heresy was still young, and therefore the inculpability which exists very often today ab ignorantia did not exist then.

Cardinal Marco, usually an easy going man, suddenly turned stern. "Your inquisition has no authority within my Archdiocese. The Archdiocese has its own Tribunal. You will find, Excellency, that if you look at the rights of the Ridgian Church, granted by previous pontiffs, and consistantly reaffirmed, that only the reigning Pope has authority over the Archbishop of Carmel and his priests, as well as the King.* Catholicism is the court religion in Cherry Ridge." The Cardinal Prince of the Church raised the glass of wine to his lips, and took a small sip.

He then continued, "Furthermore, religious freedom is not a heresy, as it was upheld by Dignatatis Humanae, a document of the Second Vatican Council, and the Church can not allow error, yes?" He finished, "In short, I will not permit the death of the Father Fitzgerald. However, I do recognize your right to censure him within the confines of your authority, which does not extend into any nation that does not recognize your inquisition within their jurisdiction. I would request that you admit that the excommunication was invalid, and you do not have the authority to declare it. Even if he was excommunicated ipso facto, it is not within your jurisdiction to proclaim it. You would agree that you acted rashly, yes?"


*OOC Note: This is how I deal with the Papal issue. The Cardinal Archbishop of Carmel is a Crown-Cardinal. I RP there being an old agreement with Rome saying that the Ridgian Church may self govern to a degree, and still maintain loyalty to Rome.

The Archbishop sneers back at the Cardinal, and snaps his fingers. Immediately an aid scurries to him, bearing a document with the insignia of the Holy See. "Very well, if you want to play hard ball, let's play hard ball." "Here is a treaty signed by the Pope 30 years ago, effective in perpetuality granting the head of the Inquisition, aka moi, the authority to declare interdiction on rebellious territories. The Cardinal smirked, and produced his own document stating that the Church in Cherry Ridge was not subject to outside interference, save by the Pope himself, and any legate of his or other command was not binding over the Chruch of Cherry Ridge, save those issued by an Ecumenical Council or by the Pope himself.

The entire nation of Cherry Grove is hereby placed on interdict until the death both of Fr. Fitzgerald and Cardinal Marco. All of their sacraments are to be considered celebrated illicitly until that point, and no Catholic may, in good conscience, receive them. Furthermore, any Roman found guilty of having recieved the Sacraments in Cherry Grove from this point, up until this interdiction is lifted, is guilty of a capital crime, and shall be put to death by firing squad.

Aboard the SOL Aerie of the Lord

The Aerie of the Lord was an ancient aircraft carrier, an old Dersconi ship sold off at an auction after it was no longer needed by the Dersconi navy. Now, it was being redecorated in dock in Derscon, to become a floating monastery for the Sisters of Liberty. Together with that ship were two ancient air-defense vessels and a cruiser decommissioned by the navy of Allanea ages ago.

The Sisters were not a Christian organization – rather, they were a pagan group, worshipping Elenaran Mephet’ran, the Lord-Messenger. And his Message was clear. The Lord did not require chastity from his ‘nuns’ – only dedication, and violence towards his foes.

“Sisters!” – shouted Sister Victoria, raising her arms. She stood on the superstructure of the immense carrier, her figure a tiny silhouette against the sun.

“Hear me, for I have been granted a Vision from our Lord the Messenger! His is the will!”

“His is the power!” - replied the Sisters in unison.

"Please begin mobilization, and move into position a few klicks off the Island of Hope. Tsar Xavier has given me full discretion in the handling of the situation. I intend on exercising that discretion. Once the mobilization is complete, send message to the Aerie that they may link up with the Superfleet."

It has come to our attention that Father Sean Fitzgerald of Cherry Ridge is being pressured by some other elements within the Church by virtue of some of his statements (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12890460&postcount=1).

These actions by these other elements are unacceptable and does not reflect true Christian values and ideals. Intolerance has no place in the world and we, of all people, should not be the ones promoting it.

As such, we deem the reinstitution of the unorthodox Inquisition to be contradictory to our Catholic and Christian beliefs. In the meanwhile, the Allaneans neither knew nor cared about the Atheistz. Even if they did know, they would not care. Instead, ‘rods from god’ satellites and observation satellites relocated over the Mediterranean, 50 strategic ‘Kestril’ ( http://z6.invisionfree.com/International_Mall/index.php?showtopic=2160&view=findpost&p=1581937 ) stealth bombers were diverted on the path to that nation, and, of course, the various ships were slowly, but surely, on their way.

Just an OOC note, but any ships or aircraft approaching within 50 miles of my border (Greater Prussian Empire nation) will be shot down/sunk.

As the Arial Unit of pick up speed ahead of the Naval Unit, they deploy their weaponry and radar.

The Arial Unit slows down to Half-Speed and dives down just above the water.
The Leader of the Unit looks to the sky and regards at how dusty the sky is.

'Must be a Desert Country' He speaks into his mouth piece.

He orders the unit to form a scattered line and advance at a high speed and gain a slight altitude. Just then several large splashes occur to right of them. Looking up to the sky he notices a hail of Yellow flashes hailing down upon them.

'That isn't Dust.. Those are Planes !' Screams a young captain.

The Leader of the Unit issues commands to the team.

With this Brave Two Zero slows his engine and makes a sharp turn to the left whilst Alpha Zero Zero Nine slowly maneuvers his Jet into the air Several hundred feet above Brave.

'Team, Fall behind me and take firing positions'

A Small amount of voices acknowledge this command and take their positions behind the Leader.

They slowly edge their noses upwards towards the Mass Fleet and begin pelting their bottoms with High Calibar Bullets.

Several of the enemy Explode in flames whilst a small amount simply crash land into the water.

The Empire swings its nose downwards and fires off Heavy Missles which smack into the cockpits and engines of the Small Unit.

Whilst the scraps of metal slam into the water, Brave Two Zero comes into distance of the Naval Unit and passes the information to it. The Captain of the Vessels wires it to the Commander who then passes it onto the President.

From a missile site in the north of Cherry Ridge, in the middle of a large field, the earth opened up in one place. A lone conventional missile streaked up, then over the ocean, heading towards Athiestz's capital's governmental district. It was not a particularly strong weapon, but it would wake the citizenry up. At the same time, broadcasts were made into the nation:
Attention Citizens of Athiestz! Your government is at work attacking other nations. Your president is wanted for murder. Please turn him over. Footage of the vessels and debris from the planes was shown, and all messages recieved from the Atheistz government were read in the broadcast.

Commonwealth of the Crystal Mountains

Situation Room, Commonwealth Combined Headquarters

Senior Minister James did not wait to sit as was his custom to start the meeting. He entered the Situation Room somewhat out of breath and simply asked, "What is the status of the Gens Romae, Cherry Ridge affair."

The assembled Ministers and Military officers looked at each other as if perplexed.

The only personage there that dared to actually smoke in the situation room spoke up, "Minister James, I think we can excuse the hesitation of your staff as they simply don't know where to start."

Minister James stood, somewhat astonished, and approached the newcomer to the table. "Well Darragh Whelan*, as I live and breath!" He shook the hand of the stranger and slapped him on the shoulder. "How are you laddie. I thought you were on assignment."

"I was recalled for this party Ritchie boy-o. It looks like it could get ugly fast." The Commander of the Badgers offered the Senior Minister a ciggerette from a small silver case.

The Senior Minister took it and Commander Whelan lite it for him. "If the uther ladies and gentlemen are at a loss as to where to start, I suggest General Kincade start."

General Kincade said, "We retasked a survalence satellite to the conflict region and we've seen some rather disturbing signs. A carrier with a small escort has put to sea from from an Allanean port and is steaming towards Gens Romae. There are heat plumes in the engineering spaces of a sizable group of ships in the same port and signs that at least two carrier battle groups, maybe more, are getting under way. The Dersconi's also appear to be putting to sea."

Kincade asked, "What do we know about that carrier and why is it putting to sea with such a small battle group? This group sprinted out and now it appears to be holding station."

Foreign Minister Richard Fleming answered, "We know vey little about Allanea. They are an old, established goverenment but they are quite distant and we've had no dealings with them."

Admiral Jenkins speculated, "I'll bet you a weeks pay that is an anti-sub sweeper force in advance of the main group. They probably have some attack subs working with the carrier group to clean up any subs that may be prowling those waters. "

General Kincade continued, "We've seen further disturbing evidence that general mobilization and/or a change of readiness is occuring in a number of states in the region. Both of the primaries appear to be at high alert. SigInt (Signals Intelligence) has heard that a Gens Roma company has put a price of 10,000,000 Denarios, whatever that is, on the head of Cardinal Marco and Fr. Fitzgerald."

Senior Minister James said, "World War I began with the assasination of a Duke. Might WWIII begin with the assasination of a Cardinal and a Preist? Umm... I asked that we get an opinion on this from our local Arch-Diosicese. Our local church is soundly in Father Fitzgerald's camp."

"Here is the opinion of Cardinal Murphy here in Port Charles:" This is a very difficult issue. In a nutshell, Gens Romae is asserting powers of the Vatican that have not been exercised since the Middle Ages. What Cardinal Marco asserts is that the Vatican II conclave allows dissent against church policy. In a sense, both parties are right but the balance goes to Cherry Ridge because of Vatican II. If however, the Pope strikes down Vatican II and the congress of Cardinals approves Vatican II being overturned, then Gens Romae will have the upper hand in the argument.

The opinion of the local dioceses is that Cardinal Marko and Father Fitzgerald are, as of this time, not at odds with doctrine and therefore should not face Papal dicipline.

James turned and asked, "Miss Reid, what does Special Branch think about local consequences if Cardinal Marco or father Fitzgerald were killed?"

Miss Susan Reid looked uncomfortable. "Sir, we just don't know. We saw protests, albiet peaceful ones when this situation came into public notice. We know that the vast majority of our Catholics are Pro-Fitzgerald. I would predict more and angrier protests and serious political consequences."

Senior Minister James asked, "Serious political consequences?"

Reid said, "The people will want justice for the death of a Preist who is acting on his conscious and they won't be patient about it."

James nodded grimly and paused. "On to our next order of business? What did I hear about a massive hurricane..."

Why is it that even our own leaders fail to listen to our pleas for peace! When will this madness stop? We are gathered here today to protest violence commited by all people, anybody. To those listening in Atheistz, I apologize for my governments attacks on you. If anyone in Gens Romae is listening, somehow, I want you to know that I forgive the Archbishop. Archbishop! If you are also listening know that I forgive you! Know that I will continue to pray for you, and continue to ask God for you to stop the violence!"

Amidst cheers, the priest descended the steps to shake hands, while a folk group appeared on stage, and began to play Blowing in the Wind and One Tine Soldier. The protest continued throughout the day and into the night. Countless people attended the protest.

Dersconi Waters, off the Island of Hope

HMS Appolyon

The Appolyon was not a single ship designation, per se: Whichever ship that was currently the flagship of the Superfleet took the designation Appolyon. The current holder was a Seraphim-class Ultracarrier, based off the Arkhangel II that is currently in use in most fleets (which was upgraded from the original seven Arkhangel-class ultracarriers, of which one -- the HMS St. Michael, was then sold to the Sisters of Liberty.)

The Appolyon was effectively an small task force, in one ship. It contained two complete flight decks, a VTOL deck, a command tower, and an ungodly huge amount of CIWS and AAA systems. It also had its own array of missile barrages. The most interesting thing about it, though, was that -- through the intricate hydraulics of the ultracarrier -- could combine the three flight decks into one massive flight deck, as well as raise extensions, as to be able to land strategic bombers for resupply and refuelling purposes.

Naturally, as is typical with anything like this, it rarely saw combat, considering it was in the middle of the Superfleet. Most things died way before they ever got past the Forward Force. In other words, the ship, like the fleet, was fucking huge.

Which is why it was used as a flagship, and why Imperial Admiral Yuri Zimmerov was currently in the Commander's office, overlooking the waters.

It's been a long time, he thought, since I've set out for real combat. He turned around and looked at his current orders, sighing, when the message from CIC came up.

"Sir, The Aerie of the Lord is currently linking up with the Superfleet." Admiral Zimmerov turned around and saw the old Arkhangel class carrier, now decorated, and rose an eyebrow.

"Heh. The HMS Saint Michael." My old flagship, he thought, reminiscing. He picked up the comm and patched through to the Aerie.

"Captain Victoria, this is Imperial Admiral Yuri Zimmerov. Welcome to the Superfleet. You'll be travelling with us until we near Gens Romae, in which case you'll be splitting off and, I suppose, doing your own thing. Oh, and one more thing: the Aerie, as you now call her, will serve you well. She and I go way back. Put her to good use, it's nice to see that she still has some fight left in her."

OFFICIAL IMPERIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Despite being a largely Protestant nation, I have seen fit to keep my mouth shut and turn the other cheek, much as Christ has taught his followers. However, I now see a price being put on the head of a respected and educated man, simply for teaching tolerance and speaking out against barbaric ignorance.

In addition, a second nation has felt that, rather than block broadcasts, it would be fitting to send military units in near Cherry Ridge.

Let me make myself clear on this issue:

Gens Romae: If this man is killed by anyone who was provoked by your offer, I will be forced to declare full, all out, and total war on your government until you are disposed of. We will not wait to help your citizens recover, and we will not "be careful" in our targetting. Therefore, for the saftey of your nation and your citizens, I would hope, if I were you, that this man is not killed.

Atheistz: Military units of your nation have already engaged and dealt damage to forces under Greater Prussian jurisdiction. I currently would have full authority to declare war on you immediately. However, I will currently refrain from doing so. But, let me be perfectly clear that I will use all the Shogunate's military assets to defend Cherry Ridge up to and including the point of an invasion to ensure that this sort of even never happens again.

I am ordering the mobilization of the Fleet Command Ship, ICS Kraken under the command of Grande Admiral Isoruku Yamamoto III to the area to support defense efforts. Do not test my patience or resolve.

"Sir, we have confirmed reports of Atheistz planes coming into Greater Prussian airspace." Marko Herkjyavich looked at the reports and the diagrams. At that point, he received the message from Orlean, and smirked.

"Annihilate the fleet, save the flagship. Scramble the bombers and the fighters at Sophia Citadel, and use ATLANTIS and the submarine task forces to remove the ships."

"Aye, sir."

Greater Prussian Exclusive Economic Zone

Greater Prussia covers a lot of space, even on the ocean. First, it's the ten miles of each nation's territorial waters. Then, it's the ten miles of Greater Prussian territorial waters. From there, it's the two hundred mile Exclusive Economic Zone, which everyone seems to forget about.

Throughout the territorial waters, there are various islands. Near the edge of the Prussian Territorial waters lies the Island of Hope, Derscon's large island, and headquarters of Naval Command, and where one of the largest military bases in the nation, Sophia Citadel, was located.

It was from Sophia Citadel where fighters and bombers were scrambled and sent off to the Atheistz ships. At this point, it was irrelevant whether they were inside the GPEEZ or in international waters -- their planes entered territorial waters, ergo, they committed an act of war.

Undersea, several fast attack submarines, as well as missile submarines were sent over towards the Atheistz fleet, but keeping quiet, as to not tip off the Atheistz SONAR.

It was not expected that they would need any more warships, but, if worst came to worst, the Superfleet could always make a detour.

You have committed an act of war against the Greater Prussian
Empire. This will be dealt with accordingly. You have one
chance, and one chance only. Surrender now,

'I Understand' Spoke the President to the Commander before sighing deeply.

He walked over to his seat and swung it around so as to look at the Tall arched windows.

His Allies had backed out and the few who truely cared only granted that he would not be harmed within the region. As if that wasn't bad enough the scouts had been destroyed, his honour hurt, His citizens in an uproar, his Naval Ships now threatened and now Several large countries have came to defend Cherry Ridge.

He'd been keeping up to date with the Priest, having been grateful for his Anti-War Protest and Apologizing, this calmed the President down greatly, but so had his people.

He rubbed his temples for a moment, took a deep breath and picked up the phone to his secretary.

Get into contact with the SS also.' He caught his breath and was about to continue when Emily Interrupted.

'Sir, The SS?'

'Yes, The Secret Service.. Yes, Tell them to sweep the city of Christians and ship them off of here, get them to block all transmissions of Chrisitan radio stations except for my Office. Monitor the channels incase someone gets too curious at which stage you are to inform the Police Department who will issue a 300 Golden Coin Fine.'

'I want it announced to the people that we have withdrew our forces and will see fit our people are protected, and for any queries please address the Human Resources Team.'

The President gripped a small cup filled with Coffee and walked to the sink to empty it. He filled it instead with cool tap water and took several refreshing sips whilst Rubbing his Forehead. Progress shall wait.

Just as Emily is about to get to work on the subjects, The Phone begins to ring. The President tells her to wait and he swiftly picks up the phone.

'Hello Mr President' said the voice with a slight concern in his voice.

'Good Evening, Who is speaking?'

'The Leader of the Consitutional Kingdom of of Haivania' Replied the voice.

'I am most honoured to hear from you. I suppose you have been kept up to date?'

"You, step out of here, it's none of your bussiness; yet", shouted the PM on the other line, before answering to the leader of The Armed Republic of Atheistz. "We are here to assist you; you are on our side and it is our duty to defend you"

"Do not give up that easily", said in a hurry before the PM lighted up his cigar. " I am waiting for your reply; you know, these calls are expensive".

Hearing the words of the Prime Minister calmed him oddly and he heard the burn of what sounded like a Cigar.

'I see you still haven't got off those old things' replied the President humourously.

'So what do you suggest' Added the President before asking his secratary for a new pot of Coffee.

"Well, i need information about your situation", said the PM while looking out of the window. "What an ugly tree", he added to his secretary, who was standing terrified in front of the PM's desk. "Burn it", he concluded.
"How is your nation standing there?", asked the PM while his face was lighted by a fire outside the window. "I have sadly to inform you that my position remains neutral so far", he added.

'Burn it? Wha..' Began the President but instead decided to get straight to the point.

'Heres the deal, I noticed large amounts of my citizens turning to Christianity, because of a radio station, something i could not allow, so i had to take action. After several warnings and the such i decided to declare war. I could have blocked the Radio but that would spark curiousity and you know how youths are these days..' At this point the President took a sip of the Coffee and Juggled it in his mouth before continuing.

'I Sent over several scouts and naval ships to find information on them, It turns out they were a step ahead and wrecked our Scouts, Except for two, One of which carried a message back to the naval fleet of the Mass Arial Units they had. I guess the enemy caught up with them, Destroyed the Planes and are currently threatening my Naval ships to Surrender or be destroyed.'
The President ran his hand through his hair and gave a sigh.

"Ahh...you always have to put your hand somewhere...", said the PM in despare. "But i am curious, you are in a civil war or in an international event?", asked in frustration. "I have to ne informed with what we will be dealing with. I mean, i have a powerful Navy, which includes a carrier but my Air Force is something to be embarrased of. My Army is no use to us, so i will make it protect my borders.", quicly the PM informed the other leader. "We are here, don't worry", he added before sneezing twice.

'It is an international event' Replied the President Briskly. Many have come to the aid of Cherry Ridge whilst i stood alone, well.. Until now.' Added the President hastily.

He flicked through his computer files somewhat distracted before continuing.

'This conflict has been spread quickly, I see its on several countries News Pages'
Just as he said this the Secratary came over with a file requesting the go-ahead for cloning on small mammals.

He signed it and swung on his chair to look out the window waiting for an answer.

"Well, i will hav..", the PM sneezed again. "I am sorry, this damn dust got me", he whispered in anger. "You", he pointed to his secretary, "you are fired. Before you go, inform the King of our situation. Thank you", he added and returned back to his call. "I will have a look at the reports and i will answer you as soon as possible", he informed the President of The Armed Republic of Atheistz. Before hanging up, he sneezed three times. While he was trying to hang up, his eyes started crying and he continued to sneez until he dropped the phone on the floor. "You blood....", he sneezed once more, "...damn you...."

On the other side of the phone he hear the violent sneezes and muttering.

'He.. Hello?' Asked the President into the Phone.

Shit.
He phoned several secrataries in the Prime Ministers building and asked them to check on him.

He rose from his chair and paced around the room.

'Just my luck' Said the President.

He sneezed one more time and then he anxiously raised the phone. He dialed and waited for that repsonse.

"This is the President's office", answered a kind, woman voice.
"This is the PM of Haivania, i urgently need to speek with him", said the PM furiously.
"I am afraid he is absent for now"
"I'll be damn. Please tell him to call me as soon as possbile. Before that, tell him to withdraw his battleships but note that he must not resign the war. I believe it is already over."

The people of the port city of Neo-Nagasaki always felt that they lost a portion of their harbour and skyline whenever the Kraken was deployed. The reality of the situation was that this was the truth. The ship was large enough to blend into the maze of towers in the city, and represented a whole chunk. She sported an astonishing four flight decks, 27 forward facing 30" main railcannon turrets, 27 aft, 64 10" high-angle turrets, rocket batteries, missile decks, and enough CIWS and AAA to form a solid lead wall to either side of the ship.

So, it was to great regret that the ship left the port, barely clearing all port gates and the sea-bed itself. The ship, and her escort of 2 dreadnaughts and 4 destroyers, was commanded by Grande Admiral Isoruku Yamamoto III. Among naval men, he was the top dog. He had started as an ensign and worked his way up the ranks, commanding every type of ship immaginable. His tactical mind was sheer genius, developing fleet maneuvers that had won him and the navy practically every engagement. With a fleet, he could wield it like a finely honed instrument. Now, however, his fleet was shrunk down into one ship. As they left for Cherry Ridge, a little more than a day away, he was excited to see what he could do. Especially if he linked up with his old friend, Admiral Zimmerov and the Superfleet.

"Sir, we've received word for Fourth Directorate MSS that there have been communications between the fleet and the Government of Atheistz, and then from GoA to Haivania. Unfortunately, we have not been able to decipher the exact wording, but several analysts have predicted that Haivania may be voicing support for Atheistz, but Haivania's degree of support is unknown." Marko Rekjyavich looked up.

"But that's all speculation?" The aide nodded.

"Yes, sir. At the moment, it's just speculation." Marko sighed.

"We can't declare war, or frankly, do much of anything to anyone, based on mere speculation. Monitor Haivania, but we will do nothing. Now, onto more pressing issues, namely, why the hell hasn't the Atheistz fleet responded to us?"

"Fourth Directorate thinks it's because they haven't been given approval, because Haivania is trying to convince them not to." Marko hid his face in his hands.

"And that's all speculation?" He said, somewhat irritated.

"...Yes, sir." Grand Imperial Admiral Rekjyavich sighed. Where is my nephew when I need him? he said, thinking of John.

"Tell ATLANTIS Control that it is to prepare to fire, and I want the Atheistz Fleet to understand that they cannot win."

"Yessir."

The small group of fast attack and missile submarines quietly made their way closer to the Atheistz fleet, slow enough that the timing would be right as to the rendezvous with the Dersconi Air Group. They had a time-schedule, and if they weren't called off before time ran out, they were instructed to unleash their missiles and torpedoes at every ship in the fleet, coupled with the simultaneous launch of the ATS missiles on board some of the fighters, as well as the bombers and their payload.

They had their targets, they had their time-frame. There was no need to communicate.

"Sir, the Air Force of Derscon is approaching Atheistz's fleet", the new secretary informed the PM.
"Damn that Prussian Empire...", he waved his head with anger. "We can't just go on the offensive with such giants", he looked at his secretary sadly. "Call the General"
"Yes sir", the secretary replied and left the office quietly.

What the hell am i supposed to do? The King is an old fool, nothing else...he is only kept there because of the tradition...He thought and wished that he could say that in front of the King's face. After a few moments of silly imagination, he woke up to find himself sitting in front of a desk filled with paperwork, and behind that paperwork, there was the General standing.

The PM jumped from his sit.
"How did you get here so fast", he asked with surprise, "i thought you were in base 501".
"Well, not exactly sir", he took off his golden hat, "I was drinking coffee in the cafeteria", he finally added.
The PM looked at him. The situation was extremely hillareous. There was a war crisis and he was drinking coffee in the cafeteria!
"I'll be damn!", the PM finally spoke his mind.
"So, let's get to the point", the General whispered.
"Ok, i think you will find realy interesting what i want to say...", the PM's face was lighted.

It is the most terrifying thing to hear as we are being informed that the Royal Navy has been alerted and the nation's aircraft carrier is currently maintaining a steady course towards the national borders. Furthermore, the nation's massive battleships, which are often mistaken for inlands have secured a safe area somewhere South West of us. We also have reports that the SAH has also been notified of the situation. Everything remains to a hault while the PM will be shortly in contact with the leader of Derscon. We wait for further news.

OOC: This may sound stupid but it is just for fun right? Nothing with NS directly...right?

"Marechal Orlean," a young aide rushed to him, "Reports from Halvania's national news channel reports Halvanian military activity." Orlean opened the transcript he handed him. "Damn it. Forward this to the Kremlin." The man rushed off quickly.

The transcript was forwarded to the RAMC, along with a note warning the Dersconi's to activate all Prussian defence systems.

Attention all Airmen. Report to your base. I repeat, all airmen, report to your base. This is not a drill.

Sirens sounded at all airbases as the pilots rushed to their planes. Within minutes, air patrols began across Cherry Ridge. Anti-air systems were activated, as the fighters of the CRAF streaked across the skies, while a small armada of fighters aimed for the northwest.

Destroy any incoming military aircraft of Halvanian or Athiestz origin.

OOC: The whole game is for fun. I intended this to be a regular RP.

Inside the Kraken's Fleet Combat information Center later that night, an officer had run up to Admiral Yamamoto, who was bent over a large tactical display in the middle of the room. Bowing, he delivered his report, "Sir, Haivanian news stations have broadcasted a mobilization of their naval assets. Their battleships are setting up a secured area inside their waters, but a single carrier appears to be leaving their boundaries."

"Thank you, Lieutenant," the aged admiral replied. "Contact the bridge. Have them increase to Flank Speed immediately. This should lessen our remaining ETA to only 6 hours. Also, inform ATC, I want no fewer than four CAPs flying at a time. Have them assign two squadrons per CAP. I want it known that a single carrier will not work, and hopefully threaten them to back down."

"Aye, Sir!" replied the officer, who bowed again and rushed off to relay the admiral's orders. Less than a minute later, he could feel the ship increase speed as the MHD's hummed slightly louder. A half hour later, the squadrons began roaring off the flight decks below him, their afterburners lighting up the sky in front of the ship.

The Commander of the Queen Aircraft Carrier was standing on the deck, watching the sun dive into the west. While he was lighting up his cigar, his First Officer arrived and looked at him sadly.

"What is with you leaders?", said the FO with a humorous tone, "you all smoke cigars".
The Commander showed a gentle smile, although his desperation was clear on his eyes. In fact, he thought this was a simple suicide mission. I bet Derscon has already been warned. Why aren't the orders changing? We stand against all odds and probably waiting for a bloddy miracle! Billions of Essentials will drown in the bottom of the sea...ahh..i am thinking of money now! I have gone mad....
He continued looking at the sea, which was completely dark, since the sun had already set to the West. His FO stepped away quietly, seeing there is no conversation.

While the commander was drowing in his own mizery, a man started anxiously shouting.
The Commander turned and looked at the young man running towards him.
When he arrived, the man wasted no time to take a deep breath and relax, he simply shouted the news to the Commander.
"Sir,", he said, "we just had a radio call. Independent Military has answered to the PM's calls. 4 Aircraft Carriers are joining our forces. The command is to return back to the northwest of the inland. Haivania is waiting sir!", he smiled and looked at the shocked Commander.

"General", the PM smiled, "you really have surprised me!", he thought and finally added, "do they have a lot of trees there?".
The General looked at the PM in astonishment.
"You can't take over the power", said the PM sadly and with a small tone of sarcasm, "think of the 1.500 billion citizens that will definitely not like your actions...", he looked outside the window. "A Civil War is the last thing we need", he concluded.
"SAH is on the move sir", the General said after deep consideration, "just give us the signal".
"Hmmm....just wait", the PM turned and looked at that man standing in front of his desk, "we will wait for Atheistz's response. I will call him right away. Thank you General. Don't let me keep you off your hot coffee!", said the PM with a funny tone.

The General stepped outside and as soon as he closed the dorr behind him, the PM was already dialing the President's office. Then he waited.

That tree is ugly, too!, he thought. After a few moments he had the tree burned and was looking at the flames while waiting for a desperate response from the other side of the line.

The President picked up the phone.

'Hello?' Said the President in desperation.

'Jesus Christ, these guys have cornered me here' said the President, not allowing the Prime Minister to talk and raising his voice.

'We have reports of serious Military Activity against us and our Naval Fleet can't hold out much longer'

The President darted his hands around the keyboard and within several minuites he put his mouth to the phone and spoke 'Im sending you the most recent telegram to our Naval Fleet, and im quite sure that the communications to and from us are being monitored considering how the Enemy knew of my scouts'

The President looked into his Coffee mug and twitched slightly. He pressed his finger into it, scooped the coffee grains and licked it off. He sighed once again and waited for a response.

From a missile site in the north of Cherry Ridge, in the middle of a large field, the earth opened up in one place. A lone conventional missile streaked up, then over the ocean, heading towards Athiestz's capital's governmental district. It was not a particularly strong weapon, but it would wake the citizenry up. At the same time, broadcasts were made into the nation:
Attention Citizens of Athiestz! Your government is at work attacking other nations. Your president is wanted for murder. Please turn him over. Footage of the vessels and debris from the planes was shown, and all messages recieved from the Atheistz government were read in the broadcast.

OOC: Might have missed that, Athiestz.

"This has got to stop!", the PM angrily raised his voice, "you are bloody wanted for murder?", he stood up and started walking around the desk.
"Liza!", he shouted and looked at the door. A furious secretary stepped in. "Call the General".
"I am right here", said a man behind the PM, "i am sitting on your sofa, drinking my hot coffee, remember?", he added.
The PM had already turned and was looking with surprise at the General indeed sitting on the sofa when he heard the word coffee. Meanwhile, the secretary had already left the office.
"Does Worldwide Ministries have Uranium Supplies?", asked the presented with a small, happy tone.
"Yes sir", answered the other man, "but wh....", he thought and smiled like a fox in the PM.
The PM smiled, too.
"Mr President?", asked the PM on the phone, "are you still there?"
"I want you to take your Navy and head to Derscon, where you will surrender", the PM lighted a cigar, he suddenly choked but was able to continue, "remember to arrive at the South Port...."

Dersconi Naval Command

Marko Rekjyavich looked over the reports from the Kremlin, and the recent intelligence reports.

"Trying to play us for a fool, eh? Seeing as the Superfleet is destined for Gens Romae, order the mobilization of First Fleet and send it over towards Haivania. They are to keep the Haivanian ships out of Prussian waters, but they may not impede on Haivanian national sovereignty. I leave the discretion as to the execution of this order to Imperial Admiral Pakhomii Vadislavov. Commander, what time is it?" His aide looked at his watch.

"23:56, sir." Marko nodded.

"Terrible shame, the Atheistz Fleet wouldn't send a message in time."

At this point, the submarines were all in position, forming a bowl under and around the Atheistz Fleet. The captains waited for the signal to call off. It never came.

At this point, the missile tubes and the torpedo tubes were flooded, and, as it would take approximately three minutes for the torpedoes and the missiles to hit their targets, were launched after the flooding of the tubes, and the opening of the doors.

The fighters took the lead, in order to fend off any attempts by the Atheistz to engage in the Air Group.

The second wing of fighters dropped below the rest of the group, and, once exactly two minutes out, launched all of their Air-to-Surface missiles at the Atheistz fleet, as it was now 23:58, and it would take approximately two minutes for the missiles to get there.

Those fighters that emptied their missile capacities due to carrying ATS missiles dropped back and headed back to Sophia Citadel. The rest of the Air Group, however, continued towards the fleet.

Atheistz Fleet

They knew the fleet was coming. They might have known that the submarines were there.

They obviously didn't know that they were going to fire without warning.

About three minutes before midnight, over one hundred missiles shot up out of the water all around the fleet (within several kilometres or so), on a clear trajectory to the ships in the fleet. Also coming in were the hundred or so missiles coming in from the ATS-loaded fighters.

Their SONAR, by now, also likely picked up the large barrage of torpedoes heading towards their ships, and their RADAR might have picked up the large Air Group with many bombers and fighter escorts, now heading towards them.

If the people in the CICs of all of their ships talked, they would all realize that the hundreds of missiles from sea and air and the barrage of torpedoes would all hit the fleet at approximately the same time -- midnight -- making it almost impossible to stop the entire attack: the missile spam timed to perfection ensured that. Oh sure, missiles would fail to reach their targets due to CIWS systems, and what-not, torpedoes would fail to hit their targets due to countermeasures, but that's what spam is for -- overwhelm the defences with sheer numbers.

And, more unfortunate for them, was after they dealt with the missiles and the torpedoes, they would find themselves visited with several bombers, carrying anti-ship weapons, designed to do exactly as the descriptor implies, as well as a large set of fighters, to keep the Atheistz planes away.

And to think, no one would have died if they just would have listened.

Nor is it tolerable to allow innocent people to be tortured and killed simply because they do not agree with your teachings and your beliefs. You say we cannot tolerate heresy and apostasy. However, it is to my understanding that the Lord also wanted us to be tolerant. "Love thy neighbor as thyself" also comes to mind. The only thing that cannot be tolerated is cruelty shown to anyone.

A priest for Cherry Ridge recognized and spoke out against an inquisition set up against non-catholics in another nation, specifically Protestants. I see no need for this strife. The only problem there is is the intolerance and the ignorance of Gens Romae's leadership.

I have received your open broadcast to involved nations detailing the reasons behind your involvement in the current war. While I respect the fact that Haivania is mobilizing to protect an ally, I must inform you of the specific details of the conflict with Atheistz.

First, we shall discuss the background of the conflict, via a brief summary. Gens Romae has in its nation the Inquisition, which executes people simply for not agreeing with the government, controlled by the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. A priest in Cherry Ridge spoke out against such blatant violations of basic human rights. In response, Gens Romae reacted aggressively, and, after storming out of a conference hosted by us, supported a bounty placed on the lives of Father Fitzgerald, the priest who spoke out against injustice, and Joseph Cardinal Marco, the Priest's superior, who refuses to have him killed for speaking out against such a blatant violation of basic human rights.

In response to the bounty, several Greater Prussian Nations mobilized their military in order to have Gens Romae back down with their completely uncalled for demand for the assassination of prominent citizens of Greater Prussia. Because of this mobilization, the nation of Atheistz, your ally, entered the conflict without provocation -- Atheistz, then was the aggressor -- and sent a fleet to attack us. Atheistz has militarily crossed into Greater Prussian waters -- this constitutes an act of war. Atheistz is the aggressor, and any action taken by the Greater Prussian Empire is entirely justified.

Which, then, brings us to you. The nation of Haivania, led by you, felt the need to defend their ally when they were under attack. However, their ally is in the wrong. Atheistz has committed an act of war against the Greater Prussian Empire, sending their military vessels into Greater Prussian territory -- entirely unprovoked.

We assure you, Mr. Prime Minister, that Haivania is under no obligation what-so-ever to defend Atheistz from the consequences of his illegal and unjust actions. Well, you have a very strong point there and although our military power is significant in the Naval area and Worldwide Ministries is suporting us with it's Grand Air Force, i have a few doubts about the situation of the war.

I cannot act further as i am still waiting for that desperate answer from the other side of the phone line. Those few moments will define the course of the war. You may understand that if i do not act i may be risking of losing an ally and a nation participating in my region, though the shame of loss will not be shadowed upon my nation.

The outcome is not clear although a few points have been cleared. We stand few chances against The Prussian Empire, we clearly understand that. Although the strong socialist alliance we have and the alliance with The Dictatorship of Independent Military may seem adequate enough to fight you, it is apparently not enough to fight The Prussian Empire altogether. This paragraph has no intention to offend you in any way, it is simply clearing out a few main points.

Therefore, before all things will be judged, just after the President of Atheistz finally answers my call, i would kindly ask you to navigate your fleet back to your land, while staying away from our national sea borders. Our Aircraft Carrier has already returned within borders. Our Navy is secured on the other side of our inland and our submarines are within International Borders, away from your borders, in a secure and safe distance.

For now, i will remain vigilant and remain completely ready to start an attack. The decision will be based on the final words of the President of Atheistz. For now, may prosperity lead your nation.

Tsar Xavier II was looking over the response, holding a holoconference with several high-ranking members of the Dersconi Imperial Armed Forces, several members of various high commands of other Greater Prussian States, and a few Dersconi diplomats.

The nice thing about the holoconference system was that it was designed to be sent through part of the IDN, which was predominantly underground, and therefore any time the system was used, foreign nations would not be able to pick up on it.

Currently present at the meeting (as it was a hologram conference, so they physically didn't need to be there) were Tsar Xavier II, CINCNAV Marko Herkjyavich, Imperial Admiral Yuri Zimmerov (Commander of the Superfleet), Imperial Admiral Pakhomii Vadislavov (Commander of the First Fleet), Lord General Kruchina Drakonov (Overseer of the National Military Command Centre), Minister of State Security Yuri Golovko, Marechal l'Empire General Charles Orlean, Lord Francis Carmel (Commander of the Crown Forces, Cherry Ridge), Grande Admiral Isoruku Yamamoto III (Commander of the Pschycotian Imperial Navy), and Foreign Minister of Derscon Zheleztsolupp Kabanov.

The first thing Xavier did was display the holomap to all of them, with detailed positions of all enemy and friendly combatants, thanks to the wonderful development of the Horus Defence Network, and detail them all on the situation.

"Okay. The situation stands as such: The Gens Romae front is relatively quiet. We haven't heard much from them at all. The Home Front is oddly quiet. After the assault on the Atheistz Fleet by several contingents of Dersconi submarines and aircraft, we have not received a full damage report, and have received no response from the Atheistz government. The Haivanian front, however, is the hottest at the moment, and we have received detailed information concerning the situation." Tsar Xavier sent them all the letter the Haivanian Prime Minister gave in response.

"In here, it is clear the Prime Minister has his doubts. It also details something we were not aware of -- Worldwide Ministries has deployed their entire Air Force, it seems, to help defend Haivania. I'm not necessarily worried, I just don't like being taken by surprise.

"The current Prussian military deployment stands as such: Dersconi Superfleet mobilized and en route to Gens Romae."

"With the Allanean Sisters of Liberty," Admiral Zimmerov added.

"Yes, with them. Dersconi First Fleet has been mobilized and is currently en route to Haivania," he said, nodding towards Admiral Vadislavov. "Several contingents of submarines and Air Defence Groups have been mobilized around the Island of Hope, and ATLANTIS is currently active. Also, along with the Superfleet is the Third Royal Marine Expeditionary Force, and with First Fleet, the Fourth RMEF. I have also ordered the mobilization of First Air Force, in order to counter the deployment of Worldwide Ministries.

"On the Ridgian side of things, the CRAF is under a full mobilization. I'm not currently aware of any other mobilizations.

"On the Pschycotian side of things, the ICS Kraken and escort vessels has been deployed.

The purpose of this conference is to coordinate defence and offensive strikes in order to bring about a quick resolution to the current conflict. Any deployments or troop movements I may have missed, please detail them now so we know what is on the table, and strategy plans and recommendations are welcome." As Tsar Xavier spoke, the reply to the Haivanian Prime Minister was also sent to all present.

The mobilization of the Grand Air Force of Worldwide Ministries will only serve to heighten the crisis level and only make things worse. I request you have them back down, as increased mobilizations will only heat up the conflict to where an out-right war with all involved parties will erupt, and needless loss of life will ensue.

I also understand your hesitation to back out of the conflict, as you would be risking the loss of an ally. I assure you, however, that the fate of Atheistz is sealed -- if they do not cease all deployments of their military, and send a diplomatic envoy to Derscon to work towards a cease-fire, the entire nation will be destroyed. Atheistz has already lost this conflict, it is up to them how to take it, be it a surrender, or their total annihilation. Haivania has already lost an ally, as Atheistz has already lost. The government of Atheistz cannot expect you to board a sinking ship with no hope of salvation.

If Haivania removes itself out of this conflict, it shows that their government is of sound mind, and is capable of making intelligent decisions, not blinded by a self-destructive sense of leashed loyalty.

I assure you, if Haivania boards the sinking ship, it will die along with Atheistz. Do not attach yourself to a dead nation, it will only destroy yourself.

I do not know how to make it more clear. I only hope you are truly intelligent enough not to sign your entire nation and your citizenry to damnation simply for the sake of slowing down the destruction of Atheistz.

Leaving from a classified air base deep within the extinct volcanoes of the islands off the coast of Derscon, a contingent of stealth bombers and stealth fighter escorts equipped with the weaponry required to destroy the location of the conversation in Atheistz, took off at around one AM, en route to Atheistz. They were actually the "insurance" squad, just in case the EMP weapons satellite didn't work.

Earth Orbit

The Stone Age-class weapons satellite received its orders from ODG-021 and proceeded to alter its orbit to make its way over Atheistz. There were two others also en route, as an insurance agent, in case Atheistz had the capability to shoot down satellites. All three satellites, however, were equipped with automatic defence mechanisms to protect themselves from anti-satellite weaponry. The nice thing about the Stone Age class satellite weaponry was that it was an EMP weapon -- so no actual direct casualties, other than power grids and other electronic devices, are incurred. Granted, the president of Atheistz -- as well as anyone else close to electronic devices -- might suffer some burn damage depending on the type of phone he was using, but that couldn't be helped.

It wouldn't take long for them to converge over the location and fire, and even if that didn't work, the contingent of stealth bombers and fighters would only be about ten minutes out.

"Tsar," began Yamamoto, "I'm having the Kraken and her escort rendevouz with a fast attack submerged fleet. After this, I'll position the squadron directly between the Prussian mainland and the Athiestz and Haivanian mainlands. She'll act as a long-range defense platform. We can strike out to 350 nautical miles at anything incoming. Do you have any thoughts contrary?"

Lord Carmel replied, "In addition to the Air Force, all members of the army have reported to their stations, and the navy is on alert. All anti-aircraft systems have been activated as well. The Office for Internal..."

"Shut up," an arrogant voice said, "That is my responsibility, not yours. The Office for Internal Security is patrolling the streets, to prevent any propaganda from being believed by the people." Orlean grinned, "And Admiral," he clearly enjoyed saying this, "I believe Tsar is a bit informal, especially for a non royal, wouldn't you say?" Orlean finished, "I also lobbed an ICBM, conventional, I unfortunately must admit, at the miscretants capital city government district. Perhaps that may persuade them furthur."

"General Orlean, I have been in my post longer than you or Tsar Xavier have been alive," Admiral Yamamoto shot back. "Furthermore, Shogun Nakamura Yamato Kira made my family a branch-family of the Nakamuras. By Imperial Decree, we are royalty. If I were you, I would watch what I said to officers that far outrank you.

"I've been deployed out here to help protect and defend your nation. However, if my squadron is not wanted, then I certainly won't risk my sailors' lives."

Orlean scoffed, "Do not..." Then the Tsar of Derscon cut him off.

Tsar Xavier waved his hand at Orlean, telling him to shut up -- albeit in a nice manner, and addressed Admiral Yamamoto.

"Admiral, Charles Orlean is a Marechal l'Empire, and my Chief of Staff as Arch-Chancellor of the Greater Prussian Empire. You do not out rank him, and neither does he outrank you, as they are separate command structures, except for here, in joint Prussian operations.

"However, I would like to remind you both, that we are here to make a unified strategy, and as we are, for the most part, all military men here, bickering will not be tolerated. We may leave that to the diplomats. Anyway," he said, letting out a sigh and taking a drink.

"Admiral Yamamoto, I believe that would be the best course of action, to have the Kraken stand as the middle-man in all the war. The Superfleet will be going further to assault Gens Romae, and depending on how large-scale this operation gets, I may have the Kraken be used as the overall command centre, though I doubt this operation will require such a move.

"My current thoughts are this," he said, displaying a map once more. "We will use the deployment of the Kraken as a supply checkpoint, as well as a checkpoint to protect our supply lines. First Fleet will move towards Haivania, and the Superfleet towards Gens Romae, as currently instructed. Due to the...size of the Kraken, I believe we can use it also as a staging platform for air strikes by the larger aircraft, and I believe it is well enough protected as to not warrant any further naval deployments, and ATLANTIS and the GPSDI has the Greater Prussian Continent very well defended, so no further deployments will be necessary.

"At the moment, the Sola Fide and the Soli Deo Gloria division of the Greater Prussian Imperial Guard is currently undergoing deployment, as well as First and Second Corps of the Dersconi Imperial Armed Forces."

"Admiral Yamamoto, your floating citadel," he said, smirking, "what is the troop carrying capacity of the combined task force?"

The PM waited and waited for many more minutes but the President did not sound his voice. After a while, the line was cut. The PM, hung up the phone with a curious face. He lifted his one eyebrown and shaked his head to the General.
"We must change our course. Do it!", he desperately said to the General. The man stood up and furiously run our of the office, closing the door behind him.

Our information defines the existant of top secret missions from the side of the glorious SAH, however, it is confirmed that all missions have been aborted.
Both national leaders have finally stated that their borders will remain closed until the Prussian Empire ends this nightmare. After their military withdraws to their lands, national borders will open and trade and commercial exchanges will continue like nothing had ever happened.
In his speech earlier this morning, the Prime Minister has clearly indicated that the Prussian Empire should stop destroyed Atheistz; their goal has been achieved and their enemy's fleet has been wiped out. Atheistz no longer stands as a vital enemy to the Prussian Empire.
The sirens have stopped screaming and the PM ended his speech by addressing that these movements do not indicate a sign of loss. "We never participated and we never lost", he had stated.
It seems that the next year's upcoming elections will deeply affect the course of....

"The Kraken," Yamamoto said, enjoying the title of citadel, regardless of it being facitious or not, "can hold 4000 Imperial Marines, with room for an additional 4000 if needed. She can also hold transports as large as a C-130 on her decks for layovers, etc..."

I'm going to ask that you hold the Kraken at the Island of Hope until the transports etc are ready, and then they and their escorts will join the Kraken out to this position," he said, Xavier marking a spot on the map half-way in between Greater Prussia and the two fronts of war.

"Unless anyone else has anything to add, I believe this is over, as any further decisions will be made by the commanders in the field."

Official Response by the Foreign Ministry

It is comforting to know that the Haivanian government has made the right decision in this conflict. As of now, the First Fleet of Derscon is being re-assigned to aide in the current conflict with Gens Romae and Atheistz.

However, we will not stop our current policies towards Atheistz, unless they themselves approach us. They have committed an act of war, and will be made example of.

Atheistz will only survive if they, themselves, approach us with the willingness to surrender, and peace may be negotiated.
