To celebrate the entry of Monteluci into Formula one, the brand has launched a limited edition Duca, the SFS, or Squadra Forze Sportive, bringing back memories from the brand’s racing history. Taking an originally Maserati-built V8 off the shelves at the mother holding, VLT, the 400 horsepower powerplant was installed in the Duca, making it able to breach the 300 km/h barrier. The entire vehicle was made lighter, using carbonfibre bodyparts, while carbonfibre returns in the interior of the car. Every SFS is personally signed by the person who hand-built it, while the certificate of authenticity contains autographs from the Formula 1 Team manager Alfredo Monteluci and his two drivers, Daniel Baer and Yves Lachapelle. A special, hand-crafted silver Monteluci logo is installed in the center console, placed above a racing timer to record the driver’s lap times. Although designed for road-legal use, the Duca SFS has a special, electronically modifiable suspension, allowing the driver to create the Duca with the most ultimate handling available.
Inside, A-grade leather complements the carbonfibre accents. A Bose satellite navigation system is installed, instead of the usual Connect navigation system. Superior sound quality connected to a smart navigation system can guide the driver to the world’s most daring circuits and courses. With the system, the driver can also choose to use 4-wheel drive or Rear wheel drive, aswell as set the chassis and suspension to his personal requirements. The vehicle has been equipped with a 7-speed semi-automatic gearbox, which is set to manual operation in normal situations. When the driver gets more demanding of the gearbox, it can be set to sequential mode. In neither of the two settings a clutch pedal is needed, thus absent in the car. The standard setting has been somewhat improved over the top-of-the-line Duca Biturbo, after several test sessions with the three drivers from Squadra Corse Monteluci, Baer, Lachapelle and test driver Paolo Monteluci. This guarantees the best handling possible, a pure driving experience that cannot be forgotten. The Monteluci Duca SFS will be sold at a price of $100,000, and a production amount of 1000 is set.
