The Scandinvan Parliament has passed the widely called for culture protection act which has come to be the main push of the Norse First Party, which has always been known for seeking to preserve the traditional configuration and culture of the Scandinvan Empire, though will respecting the right to life that every citizen has in the Empire. To do this they have put into this bill a wide range of reforms which they believe will allow the Scandinvan society to remain the same way it has, at the same time allowing the nation to continue advancing in terms of technology so as to allow the Glorious Empire of the Scandinvans to continue to prosper for many decades to come.

As for the Act itself it will place a ban on all immigration of peoples from non-European countries, will create laws which will preserve the custom that immigrants have to serve in the auxiliary forces of the Empire in order to earn citizenship for their children and partial-citizenship for themselves, will encourage the teaching of traditional Scandinvan and Valgardian languages, will protect the rights of the Emperor and nobility, maintain significant Scandinvan ruins, will crack down on illegal immigrants, illegal immigrants are to be treated as criminals and deported to their countries of origin as soon as possible, will encourage assimilation of European immigrant groups, will encourage traditional forms of art, declare it a crime to help illegal aliens, and will cover a vast number of other things that are too many to be listed on the running time allotted for this news report.

As well, the Empeorr Olaf IV has refused to comment on the Act due to his own personal beliefs might drastically hamper the course of the Act, which he considers to be the will of the people.

The Act itself is enjoying a very high approval rate in that seventy two percent of Imperial citizens support, while twenty one percent disagree with its passing, and seven percent remain undecided or neutral on it due to a large number of personal opinions on this matter.

At the same time large groups of the twenty one percent who disagree with that acts passing have already taken to the streets in protest to it, which is likely to have little or no impact on the act as it has already passed and to significant part of the population are known to support the act.

Already two hundred thousand illegal immigrants have been arrested by Imperial soldiers who have already begun filling the paperwork to have them deported to their home countries using the new Imperial procedure which results in the automatic deportation of all illegal immigrants found to be committing lower crimes without the need to give them each trials which has been found by the Imperial High Courts to be not needed due to the fact that only citizens and legal immigrants needed to be given trail by their own interpretation of the Constitution. Yet, as for the illegal immigrants who commit sever crimes they will be given the same sentences, with hard labor if they are found to be physically able.

Overall, these actions have been meet with a largely positive effect as poles show that Imperial citizens are in favor of this and in areas with high crimes rates there is expected to be a decline in crime rates soon.

An attack occurred on a transport ship which was being prepared to take illegal immigrants back to their home country. While, there was only one injury from this attack it has been decided by Parliament to double the guard at the ports at which the illegal immigrants are being deported through. Yet, to point out currently no group has claimed to be responsible for the attack and there has been no release on any list of possible groups which might have been behind the attack.

In the meantime though, at least three million illegal immigrants have been rounded up Imperial authorities throughout the Empire and the paperwork ahs been filled out for half of them already. Despite, this high rate of arrests current estimate put it that only a sixth of the illegal immigrants that reside in the Empire as a part of the overall community. Yet, it is predicted that the rates of arrest will continue to increase.

Rap has now officially been declared no longer a performing art in the Empire of the Scandinvans on the fact that rap is not in compliance with the art definition of that it relies on no real personal skill to convey a mixed message with no real definable evidence that it actually is a form of art, in which case it is defined as something that is a debased form of a mixture in a setting which degrade the performing arts which it bases itself off. In turn the definition of rap as a form of music is up to debate, though it may well soon find itself no longer even an art form.

To the more people level this move has caused some controversy in the small rap following community due to their belief that rap is an performing art due to its use of lyrics and rhyming, but a larger part of the community disagrees and the Scandinvan Art Institute does not agree and such rap shall lose its official title of performing arts, though its not expected to do much to the overall sales of it as it will only really effect the reputation of rap in the art community.

Most of those who have left Beth Gellert are either leftist missionaries, or universally reviled capitalists.

The former sort will be greeted on their return as luckless heroes of a sort, while the latter may represent a problem. Some capitalists, stripped of their ill-gotten gains after the May and February Revolutions of the 1980s, or fearing the same, chose to leave rather than actually work like everyone else, and some likely ended up in this nation that now may want to eject them. Perhaps Geletian Celts will not be unwelcome, but few expect that Bengalis and Tamils will have much chance unless granted some sort of refugee status owing to their unpopularity in Soviet India, which still considers them parasites.

There remains the possibility of a nationless group of capitalists or ex-capitalists being created, unwanted in India for what is considered their criminality, and unwanted in the Scandinvans for their nationality and ethnicity.

Unrepentent capitalists sent back to India would probably be rejected by their communities and forced to find their own way, but there seems to be no particular state system in place to punish them, or even to lay any kind of charges. Of course, without the support of a community, they may become tent-dwelling beggars... but then, Indian culture has a strong tradition of begging that even communism has not completely erased.

The Most Serene and Holy Tartary Empire of the Two Nations wonders if this immigration act excludes the Altaic citizens of our Empire. It no doubt bars the Oriental subjects of the Empire, which is quiet a pity, since we have too many. It would not be in order interest in order to have our Altaic citizenry leave our country, we simply need more.
