OOC: This is just a thread saying several different messages about stuff in the Northern Baltic
IC: Vladimir Mayakovsky stared at the police who were setting up barricades along the final leg of Asgard Avenue. He then turned his head to stare at the massive fortress whose defenses had just been upgraded. "New anti-shipping missiles, railguns, and everything", he said aloud.

Vladimir recived a tap on the shoulder. He spun around and saw a tall, muscular man in rather important looking clothing.
"Hello", Vladimir said.
"Vladimir Mayakovsky, is it?", he asked.
"Yes, but I'm afraid I don't recognize you..."
"I'm a political commissar. They started putting them in the army you know."
Vladimir gave out a short laugh. "Of course! With the Conservative Trotskyists winning control of the Senate, it was bound to happen sooner or later."
"I agree, Vladimir and now..." His voice was cut off by an announcement that the parade was about to begin. The pair boarded an elevator and then a subway train to go to the beginning of the street, where the parade would start.

The parade began with a marching band playing the Northern Baltic national anthem. Several professional singers sung the anthem. After, the military parade began. The Northern Baltic Tank Reserves were the first in the parade followed by the Northern Baltic Mechanized Reserves. The Tank Reserves were armed with T-64U tanks for the regulars and T-90S tanks for the commanders. The Mechanized Reserves were armed with a mix of BTR-80's and BTR-90's. These were followed by the Northern Baltic regular mechanized units who were armed with Black Eagle MBT's and BMP-3's. These were in turn followed by 30 million Northern Baltic infantry reserves armed with Ak-108's who were then followed by 2 million Northern Baltic regular infantry. After this, the party began and several big Northern Baltic music groups played at several different free concerts around the capitol. They played some of their newest hits along with some classic Northern Baltic songs.
