ViZion maintains export of criminals

Recently, there has been pressure on the ViZionarian Government to cease the exportation of murderers and the like (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=460280) to Prigione, a large, previously uninhabited island in the south Pacific.

However, after much debate, ViZion will uphold its exportation of criminals committing heinous crimes such as murder and child molestation.

As such, ViZion continues to ship an average of about 1,500 criminals out to Prigione per year.

"How wasteful...."
-General Zarkharov on sending prisoners to islands

I feel that your prisoners could be put to better use by sending
them to us for reprogramming and basic military training. It reminds
me of the Turkish Jannisaries... Anyway, we could pay you a small sum
for taking them... Do consider it...

The Dictatorship of BombleOfficial Message

We are supportive of your measures to deal with dangerous criminals. It is a good idea to leave them on a deserted island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, with no way of escape. It could be improved, however.

I have developed a few ideas to improve the system whilst getting horribly drunk at a birthday party I was at recently. I hope you like them...

1. Why not generate revenue from the operation and produce a game-show? It could be called "Death Island" or "Extreme Death Island" or something like that. Additional revenue could be brought in with sponsorship deals. For example, Prisoner 2134A could be sponsored by Dorito's or Pepsi or something.

2. Public torture is a viable way of breaking hopes and spirits. Why not do this before sending them away? Also, their wounds may end in death by infection or gangrene and might eliminate some of the scum that inhabit the isle. Additionally, Bomblean public tortures are getting decidedly boring. Maybe some foreign blood (literally) may spice things up. Maybe we could do a trade deal?

3. Why not just drown them? It saves a lot of money, trust me.

We hope you embrace my ideas with the kind of love that the prisoner's are missing being on the island.

Keep it real,

The Principality of Kurona

We too are supportive and sympathize with you. Kurona too practices the same measure of deporting dangerous criminals to far away places where they will learn the true meaning of survival and repentence so to speak. Kurona grants you full acess to our penal islands in Xanadou and other oceans.

The Trinity church is looking for new human bodies to test some of our Alchemic tests. We would be willing to pay for these people, and their transport.

The Binarian goverment thinks ViZionarians are soft on crime. It would be a much better deternant to make them target practice for UAVs.

Official Declaration of Apathy

The Government of Derscon remains entirely apathetic to the situation, as there are no gross human rights violations occurring. ViZon has the right to imprison the un-reformable in any manner it chooses. While the Foreign Office does call into question the practicality of such a decision, it will not favour one side or the other.

ViZion will not be sending this criminals to other nations for things such as target practice and human experiments. ViZion will continue to ship these criminals, who are deemed unable to be reformed, to this island where they will be required to fight for themselves.

To whom it may concern,

The CEO of the The Gross Human Rights Violation Channel (TGHRVC), would like to know what name you have chosen for the game-show we understand is soon to be hosted on the island of Prigione in the Pacific Ocean.

It is relatively urgent as trailers have begun to air on TGHRVC and a slot of 7:00pm - 8:00pm on Saturday has been pre-allocated for the show. In fact, a 'preview show' has begun airing called "The Criminal Death-Challenge Show" (TCDCS), where Bomblean celebrities predict what the show will be consisted of, who will be on it, and what will happen. The other 55 minutes is taken up with music videos and funeral advertisements.

Already, the show is running into substantial debt and has been deemed 'unrecoverable' by our financial advisors. However, we soldier on and bring the show to the people, 7 days a week, as we feel it necessary to broadcast such innovative and cutting-edge material.

If you are inquiring about competition against your show, the simple answer is there is none. A daily bulletin of public tortures around Bomble is screened from 6:00pm - 7:00pm. It is called "Floghorn" (maybe you have seen it?). This however, is comparable to the daily news bulletins running on mainstream television channels, not top-quality game-shows such as this one. The only other programme on our channel is "SeXXX", a children's show screening on weekdays at 8:00am. It features zany characters such as Percy Pervert and Skankenstein who run around having wild and leathery adventures. It should not provide too much opposition due to the time slot allocated.

For the rest of the day, The Gross Human Rights Violation Channel screens photos taken on the annual employee outing to Palau, coincidently in the Pacific Ocean itself! There are only three of them however, as the man with the camera (Herbert Corbett-Briggs) forgot to buy spare film for it. He was subsequently sacked, and died of malaria after we had left him there (he wasn't an employee anymore!).

We wait eagerly for a reply.

Regards,

Allen Bullwinkle III
CEO, The Gross Human Rights Violation Channel

P.S. We'd appreciate a swift reply as our camera crew have already boarded their ship and have set sail for Prigione as we speak.

Allen Bullwinke III,

I am sorry to inform you that we will not, indeed, be doing such a thing. ViZion is not, and will not, be involved in turning this into a reality TV show as some think it should, seeing the potential profit in this. Note, however, that we will not be stopping other nations, or their companies, from doing so.

Thank you,

President Kilo

Dear President Kilo,

We apologise for the rather forward letter sent by the CEO of The Gross Human Rights Violation Channel (TGHRVC), Mr Allen Bullwinkle III.

The only explanation for this letter is the mild state of intoxication Mr Bullwinkle was under at the time of writing. The recent suicides of all of his family members at his 53rd birthday party on the 15th of July has led to his excessive drinking over the last few days. Contract clauses have prevented Mr Bullwinkle's dismissal from the position of CEO, and the company has been in turmoil ever since that fateful day.

The Gross Human Rights Violation Channel has indeed no desire to film a reality series on the island of Prigione. It is a sad fact, however that a preview programme does in fact exist, despite no plans being in place to go ahead with filming on the island. In truth, his overviews of TGHRVC's channels are perfectly correct.

We sincerely apologise for the actions of Mr Bullwinkle.

Randy Dodger
Chairman of the Board, The Gross Human Rights Violation Channel

P.S. There is no need to send back the ship dispatched from Bomble containing the film crew. You will be pleased to know it hit a rock outcrop south of the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa and sunk with the loss of all on board.

We will be exporting three young criminals within our society to this island. The three are:

Frank Calrey
21 year old male who first raped, then murdered his younger sisters. He attempted to then kill his parents before his father shot him, nearly killing him three years ago.

Terry Jackson
14 year old male who killed fellow teenagers when they wondered the streets of Arlington alone at night. Six fell victim to him before he was caught just a month ago. His reign of terror lasted three weeks.

Molly Richardson
This 18 year old female has been on the loose for five years until just days ago when she was caught in the middle of torturing one of her victims. She is said to have tortured-to-kill over 60 people during this five year period, in which anything from beating to being cut up alive happened before their death.

Being seemed as unsavable, they will be dropped off on this island in one week.
