The Abnaki Chambers
The Palace of The Four
Royal City of Resa

Klallam, one of The Four leaders of Londim, was sat in his chambers after another day that had been quite uneventful within Londim. He had returned from a meeting with the others about the current state of affairs, a routine meeting to discuss laws and propositions. There was a knock at the door. Klallam rose to answer the knock turning his attention away from the reports about the state of the nations industrial strength.

"Ahh I wasn't expecting you here tonight. How are you young one?"

"I am well Sir", replied the newcomer, and how do I find you this evening?"

Klallam looked at the woman in front of him. Her eyes showed a desire, a passion to succeed and do what was right.

"You know how it is young one. The reports are always coming in but this almost boredom where nothing is going on now haunts me. Our beloved nation seems to have slowed down in its activities."

"Oh that will change soon", replied the woman with her back to the old man, "Very soon."

"What do you mean by that young one?", asked Klallam with a look of concern.

"What I mean to say is things will change. Londim will no longer be so dormant in her rise for power and that will begin tonight."
The woman turned to face Klallam brandishing a gun and fired two shots. Klallam had no chance and fell dead with a look of shock and sadness on his face. He had been betrayed.

"Good Night. Father."There was no remorse in that voice.

The Next Day

The Bell's of the Palace rang out slowly signifying the death of Klallam. The Flag of the Abnaki tribe hung at half mast below the other three flags symbolising the other tribes. Large screens now showed the images of the late Klallam with a live message being broadcast.

"Today Londim lies in mourning as one of her leaders makes his passage to the afterlife. Klallam of the Abnaki tribe was found murdered in his chambers last night by his daughter who had gone to visit him. The nation will be in a state of mourning for the next 3 days, where on the 3rd day the Klallams body will be put to rest. We also have a statement from the Klallams daughter."

The voice changed to one that seemed to be in pain and wreaked with sadness. The final voice the Klallam had heard.

"My father was a great man.....He loved this nation with more passion that any of us could dream of. I will tell you now that whoever killed my father will face my wrath and the wrath of the people for their betrayal. I love you father. That is all."

"That was a statement by the old Klallams daughter. As tradition dictates she will become the new Klallam of the Abnaki tribe and so ascend to The Four and one of the leaders of our nation. Her coronation will be in 1 week. Let our prayers go out to the old Klallam's family and the man himself who was born named Greyan Lukhbi."

The Funeral
The Cemetary of Faith

Close family surrounded the burial area wih thousands of mourners outside the cemetary gates paying their own respects to one of their leaders. Everyone was wearing black as was custom. Tears flowed like rivers.

"We are here in the presence of the people and our Faith to send our beloved leader on the passage to the afterlife. May his soul find the peace that it never could on this world. Amen."

The coffin was lowered into the burail hole and with it followed flowers from the mourners. The soon to be Klallam waited for the others to leave before looking into the grave of her father.

"I'm sorry father but you said yourself that Londim was losing her grace. I did this not because I hated you but because I loved you. I could not watch as you became ever saddened and so I sent you on a passsage of peace. I will see you again father. I love you."

She walked away with a smile on her face. Now it was time for the next step...
