The Imperial University at Kensington is one of six universities located in the Metropolitan area of the Londinian capital city of Kensington. It is the most exclusive, and most prestigious university in the entire nation of British Londinium, welcoming only fifteen thousand students each year into its undergraduate programme. A mere fifteen minutes away from the City of Kensington proper, the IUK is in the heart of a bustling and dynamic area, brimming with culture, learning, and adventure.

With a yearly tuition of ₰19,000, you can be assured of receiving one of the finest educations available on the planet. Possible majors number in the hundreds, ranging from military strategy to economics to medicine to theatre and drama. Extracurriculars are also a key part of the University, with the IUK featuring top-notch debate and football teams, in addition to smaller clubs appealing to a variety of interests.

Security is a priority at IUK; permits can be acquired from the provincial government to obtain various weaponry if students feel it necessary, and guards will be permitted on campus if they pass security clearances.

OOC: The thread is open, just make sure characters that you intend on enrolling would 'fit in' with reasonable admission standards. Grades and such are not the primary focus of this thread, but feel free to RP them as you wish.

Ryan Getzlaf, Heir to one of the Four Thrones of VDB, age 18. Majoring in diplomacy. Best football player (from US, assuming you mean US soccer) in VDB, willing to join debate team.

OOC: Yeah, soccer is what I meant by football. And you needn't await my approval or anything, just have him show up and stuff. I think things'll pick up if more people join.

Ryan Getzlaf bordered his personal Lear jet at Brieresburg International Airport, bound for Kensington, BL. Man, i can't wait, he thought to himself. Hopefully i'll play football there. And spiffy up for the throne!

TEN HOURS LATER

Getzlaf landed, got in his private Mini Cooper, his favorite car ever, and drove to his new university. Once there, he checked in with the dean and got his room, #1. Well, here I am. he thought. Welcome to home for a year.

Harry Arnold boarded his personal 787-900ER and headed for Kensington Air Field, to go to the Imperial University..

Elisabetta Sapienti reclined on the bed in her dorm, inattentively reading news headlines on her laptop. NSAA forces move to blockade Cabelle...peace talks begin with ViZion - too damn depressing, she thought as she shut her black MacBook. Too many more important things to focus on. Elisabetta wouldn't be totally off with that thought. She had managed, after all, to be admitted to the Imperial University, and receive a perfect score on the Londinian Tertiary Education Exam. A double major in medicine and biology, Elisabetta had grandiose dreams of being a pediatric neuropsychiatrist - but that was a tad in the future. For now, there were grades to worry about. And a small part of her cerebral cortex urged this girl, attractive in a slightly intellectual (read: nerdy) way, to prioritize on the finer things in life, such as relationships. It was a thought worth considering.

Elisabetta stretched briefly before falling asleep on the blue bedsheets.

Ryan walked over to the secretary in the looby of the university. "Is anything going to happen?" he asked.
"Well, a girl from here has arrived and a guy from Calizoristan is arriving at the airport soon."
"OK, thanks."
Ryan walked out of the building and hailed a taxi, telling him, "The airport." Let's meet some people, he thought to himself.

Harry Arnold just picked up his bags from the 787-900ER, and saw a taxi drive up and he saw a kid named Ryan get out and Harry said "Hello, I am Harry Arnold, I am looking for the Imperial University at Kensington, I wonder who'll be my roomate.."

When Diana had first started to think about colleges, she knew she wanted to go overseas. Her father had respected her decision, her mother was annoyed. "What's wrong with the colleges we have here?"

So she had looked at lot of well known universities: Mandragora, Rêvane, but she kept looking back to one in British Londinium, so she applied and by a miracle she guessed had got in.

She looked out of her plane's window, she saw cloud just passing by like without a care. Then Diana looked at her watch "Should be landing in Kensington soon." she thought.

Harry Arnold just picked up his bags from the 787-900ER, and saw a taxi drive up and he saw a kid named Ryan get out and Harry said "Hello, I am Harry Arnold, I am looking for the Imperial University at Kensington, I wonder who'll be my roomate.."

"Hi Harry! Well, we could be roomies because I don't think they assign us rooms. Anyway, why don't you come back to the University in my cab?"

"Oh, wait a second there's someone about to land. Let's say hi." He walks over to a plane landing, waits for it to land, and meets a girl walking out. He kisses her hand and says," Hello, I'm Ryan Getzlaf lll, heir to one of the four thrones of VDB. If you want to, you can come to the University with me and this guy Harry."

"Hi, i'm Diana Snow. Nice to meet you." she said smiling "Yeah i'd love to come if you guys are headed to the University, i've only been to British Londinium once before."

"Same," he said, smiling, and led the lady to his cab and drove away, promising Harry to come back if they were needed.

"So, where are you from?" he asked.

"This place called Cookborough. It's pretty nice and all, i just want to see the rest of the world. You said you're from VDB? what's that stand for?"

"It's the Allied States of Vanek Drury Briere. Very long name, it's the name of my uncles. For, we have four thrones. One for the Vaneks, one for the Drurys, one for the Brieres, and one for the Getzlafs, for which I'm the heir. So, my cousins are also heirs. Oh, here we are."

They had arrived at the University.

"Oh cool." said Diana, "wow that was quick" and she saw the University come into her plane of view.

They pulled up next to the curb. Thomas paid the driver and went inside. "Well, here's where you register for the dorms," he said. "But, would you like to be my roomate?"

Harry Arnold was in the lobby wondering "Who'd be my roommate, I have gotten a dorm I think.." He would be standing out, he wore his ROTC dress blues, and polished boots, and with the Calizorinstani flag, people would be able to tell he was a Calizorinstani man...

The girl appeared frozen by the question, so Ryan just said, "Umm, tell me when you've decided," and crossed the room and asked Harry, "Hi, do you play football? I can't wait until the season starts."

"I dunno" said Diana, "Are girls allowed to be roomates with guys?"

"I dunno," Ryan said. He went up to the secretary and asked.

OOC: BL, can you answer this or do you want us to make one up?

Harry smiled and shook his head "Not English-type football, I personally prefer NFL-type football, on my team back home I was the lead quarterback on the team, # 38!. I hope I am roomed with you.."

"Oh," Ryan said. "I mean English-type, I am a striker for the VDB U-20 team and captain, I rock. Well actually do you want to be my roomie? I believe we can choose..."

Harry said "Sure Ryan, my quarterback record's been so good this season, when I get back from this I am going to join the NFL, I've played in a state championship and I've been on the winning team, got a fair amount of money, and I dare say, when I join the NFL, the dough will roll in.., ah, we'll make nice roomies, my brother's in ViZOn, before he went to that school he flew 45 combat missions in the air force, and on his 5th one, he got shot down in a P-51, and went missing for 6 months.."

"Wow, you must have an interesting life." Ryan looked sad. "All I've got is this, soccer, and the fact I'm heir to one of the four thrones in VDB. Lots of boring photo ops and press conferences. Here, I'll go ask the secretary if you can be my roomie, we'll have room #1.

Harry grinned and said "My older brother Tom is also a NFL-football type player, he and I have played against each other, he is also a quarterback, funny eh?, it seems like John and my father Jack are the only military pilots in the family, but I must say from seeing John fly, he appears to be a natural.. He flew for 40 out of the 45 missions, a F-4D Phantom II in the boonies, which was his favorite airplane."

"Wow!" said Ryan. "Maybe I'll persuade my dad to let me join the Air Force. It just looks so sleek.... Well here we are. There's two beds and two desks. Do you have a computer? I have a laptop-I'll just hook it up right now. Hopefully there's Internet and I can check the VDBSL. That's the VDB Soccer League. And of course the CNFL. Does your brother play in the CNFL?"

Harry nodded "I do have a laptop, my brother does play in the CNFL too, he's on the San Diego Lightnings, there's a game versus the Sacramento Giants today if I am not mistaken."

"Wow!" said Ryan. "Maybe I'll persuade my dad to let me join the Air Force. It just looks so sleek.... Well here we are. There's two beds and two desks. Do you have a computer? I have a laptop-I'll just hook it up right now. Hopefully there's Internet and I can check the VDBSL. That's the VDB Soccer League. And of course the CNFL. Does your brother play in the CNFL?"

"Oh, really?" said Ryan. "Which team is he on?"

John was watching the game between the Calizorinstani Chargers, and the Sacremento giants CNFL game with great interest, "Woohoo, my brother threw a touchdown pass!"

Diana started to walk around the hallways, and she couldn't see or hear anyone other than John and Ryan "This is really strange." she thought to herself

Ryan decided to step outside, John seemed to be completely obsessed with the football game. He then ran into Diana. "Oh, hi Diana. Do you like football (American soccer)?"

"Um, OK, that seems a bit unrealistic," called Ryan.

John said "He's on the San Diego Thunderbolts team, why, woahh, eek, woohoo, he nearly got sacked near the endzone, he's thrown a 97 yard pass for a touch down, woooohoooo!, Thunderbolts 13, Giants 6."

"For the most part i like Football, and i mean both kinds of the sport."

John yelled back "It might be or it might not, this is my first Calizorinstani National Football League (American style football), that I've watched, oooh, nooo!, Harry got sacked, and fumbled the ball, the Giants are running for a touchdown, nooo!, and they've got the field goal too..., Thundebolts 13, Giants 15."

Ryan glanced toward the door of John and his's dorm. "Want to go see the game, sounds exciting," he said.

"Okay, that sounds fun."

John yelled with surprise as it showed that the Giants offense had fumbled the ball, and that one of the defense members on the Thunderbolts was running towards the touchdown with hardly any opposition!, "Woohooo, the Thunderbolts scored on the touchdown and on the two point conversion, now Thunderbolts 22- Giants-19, thew!"
