The Crusade For Mechis IV (ATTN Reformed CIS)

"My Lord," The Tactical Officer said to Abaddon, the Wanderjarian Sith Knight. "We have located the CIS homeworld. Its in the Mechis system, at a world called," He looked at the report document in his hand, "Mechis IV."

"What can you tell me about this world?" Abaddon requested.

"Well m'lord if it is anything like the rest of the Mechis system, it will be very rocky, highly volcanic, and inshort a difficult area to fight a war."

"And your solution to this problem is?" Abaddon looked down upon the Imperial Officer, his cold grey eyes staring intensely into the Officers.

"Airmobile warfare sir. Using LAAT ships to move units around from area to area. Since ground units will be relatively difficult to manuver."

"Good," Then, turning to the Navigations Officer, he said, "We're moving. Set a hyperspace course for the Mechis System."

"Aye my lord," He said and went off to prepare the course.

"Soon those blasted CIS fools shall fall forever, or unify with the Empire. I care not which."

Within the depths of the ships cargo holds, vast armies were preparing for war. The Sector Army on hand was the Wanderjarian Sector First Guards Army. A unit of approximately fifteen million Clone Warriors and their equipment. Soldiers prepared their armor and weapons within armories while technicans readied vehicles and fighters for the war on the surface of the planet, and the war in space which would occur first.

Sergeant Kalmhout, a veteran soldier from the world of Cadia, lead a squad of nine men. He'd fought along side these men innumerable times in the various wars which the Wanderjarians partook in. Each one was a comrade, a friend, and most of all he felt, a brother. Cadians were not typical clone troopers as were the bulk of the Wanderjarian military. These were men, born of a woman's womb, and volunteers in the Emperor's armies. This was a fact he was proud of.

"Listen up guys," He said, holding his helmet by his side. Scars crisscrossed his face, and he held a mean look in his steel blue eyes, a trait typical of Wanderjarian men. "Within hours we shall be on the surface of Mechis four. This war is going to be won easily, just as all the others have been. The CIS fell to us once, and it will fall to us again by god!" The men nodded and exchanged looks of agreement. They almost could convince each other that they were more pleased to soon be entering war than nervous or afraid. Almost.

"Sarge," a Private said, "We've fought along side each other many times, and I just wanted to say to you, and to everyone else, that its been a pleasure to serve with you guys." With that, he nodded, bit his lip, and took his seat on the metal bench in the locker room which they were situated in.

The Sergeant nodded as well. "Thank you Geoff. Its been a pleasure to fight with you too." Soon the entirity of the Wanderjarian Sector Army of Cadia would be landing. Soon, they would fight, and soon they would claim another world for the Galactic Empire.

The Crimson Eye arived at Mechis IV just ahead of the enemy fleet. It had only by the grace of the force made it. Kenpachi left on a shuttle for the capital city ordering the CIS fleet in orbit to fall back to New Plympto and awiat orders. The fleet had no chance of holding off such a large enemy force. Kenpachi knew now if war really does come or if terms come either way he would rather his fleet live past this day.

Once landing he went right to the CIS Council and Supreme ViceRoy to find out if their call to help had been heard.

"General Kenpachi i am glad you made it back to us" The Trade Federation Viceroy said.

Kenpachi walked to the front of the room seemingly very upset " What is this i hear about our call for aid going unheard?" The droid commander said paceing back and forth

The supreme vicroy wiped the sweat from his forehead befor answering " It is not that no one heard it, but more like no one cares."

Kenpachi slamed his hand threw the table breaking it in half " Those guttless cowered. I see now i gave those democracy loveing fools too much credit. In this case it is my duty to inform you this world will fall within fifthteen hours of enemy forces landing. And the only thing that will slow them that much is this worlds terrain. Our forces are still rebuilding and we only have two thousand combat droids on this world."

Kenpachi sighed for a moment. " I must suggest in light of the galaxy turning its back on us that the best course of action would be to work out the terms of us becomeing a semi-autonomous part of the Empire. It is our only chance to come out of this war alive and with power. And atleast maybe it will give me a chance to see those cowrds from the G.F.F.A heads on my wall."

Kenpachi started to leave the room turning. " Just incase have the shield genrator online to prevent any enemy orbital attack on the city or military bases. I will have what little troops we have set up postions around the city to defend. I will meet with their commander once agian to work out terms of our surrender."

The ships arrived in system, and proceeded towards the planet. The Imperial Star Destroyers took a wedge formation whereas the other ships took an elipitcal diamond-esque formation around the Titan battle barges. The Wanderjarian fleet in all its majesty and power was an awsome sight to behold, something which few lived to see, and even fewer lived to describe.

Abaddon paced about the Command Deck of his Bridge aboard the Wanderjarian Titan BB Reaver, preparing his mind for the battle ahead. It would be easily won, the enemy stood absolutely no chance against the power of the Empire. Once they were annexed and brought into the Empire's control, they would be made powerful, but a tool for the Emperor's hand, one which Palpatine could swarm their undying foes in CoreWorlds, the ESUS and the GFFA. Each system which supported the Empire was one more system denied to the enemy, and one more system whose people could be used to destroy them.

"Sir, enemy ships ahead in orbit around the planet," The Tactical Officer stated.

"Good. Kill them all." Abbaddon replied simply.

"Very well m'lord, all weapons on all ships," He called through the communications terminal, "Fire at will!" With that, thousands upon thousands of las-gun battaries on each ship were brought to bear, as were the guns on the ISD IIIs and the Nova Cannons on the Emperor Class ships. The universe lit up with the lights of weapons fire, as lasers, cannon bursts, and plasma bursts prepared to engulf the enemies weakling fleet.

As the imperial fleet arived and reayded to fire the CIS fleet made their jump into hyperspace leaving the system. They had just become ready to flee when the enemy fleet arived sooner then they had expected (posted about them being ordered to flee the system).

Kenpachi was told of the imperial arrivel as he sat in the command center. He knew it was time to put his ego aside and do the smart choice. He sent out his message to the enemy fleet

To the imperial fleet in orbit this is supreme commander of the droid armies kenpachi. It seems i have over eistimated the backbone of the democracy loveing fools. While they sit in their chambers debating your fleet is free to defeat us and defeat us you will. Our military is unable to stop you this i have no illusions of. So i wish to seek terms of our surrender and our incorperation into the Empire.

Now kenpachi could only wait for the more then likely smug reply from the sith.

The Sith Knight Abaddon grinned. "Very well. Acknowlege your eternal loyalty to none but Emperor Palpatine, and swear your lands and armies to him and his eternal will. Deny this, and we shall destroy you. Accept, and you shall have power undying. This is our ultimatum to you."

OOC: 1010102, easy on the propaganda.

Couple things, CIS. One, GDI ships are HUGE. Almost all of them make Imperial Star Destroyers look like toys. In order to combat the Scrin if they come back, (both know from communication logs that they ARE coming back and in force), their ships are made to take on ENTIRE fleets by themselves. Hence, why there are so few.

Two, its considered bad rp to simply go "OH NOES, I HAVE TEH ENEMEHZ" and have all your alliance buddies come and clusterfuck the one brave soul up the ass...with no lubrication. (again ships can take on multiple fleets, it would be interesting)

And they cant come UNLESS he calls for help. Which they may not even come as their attention is focused on OG's civil war.

Trust me you are in good hands with the GDI. I will be putting up a post soon.

And evil doesn't count for crap. The only evil people I know in NS, and I truly believe are evil, are Chronosia, CF, and Mekanta. They are the true evil; everything else is just pocket change.
1010102
20-07-2007, 05:16
OOC: Well you can have a max of 163 average ships, to get the uber ships you claim, you would need to have 200 ships and a 3 billion people. so how many ships do you have?

Director Jack Granger, leader of the Global Defense Initiative, leaned back in his chair and sighed. Negotiating with the GFFA over their entrance into that alliance was rather brutal on his patience, mind, and endurance for politics. Those moments were the nicest and most politically-minded he had been in his entire career. "God, how I hate politics. If it wasn't for people like Redmond Boyle, I wouldn't even be here... Sighing, he rubbed his head, and reached over for a glass of water. Bringing it to his lips, he felt the cold, refreshing water slide down his throat and he closed his eyes, relaxing. For the first time in days, he could finally relax. With Operation: Counterstrike underway in Algeria, with the General forcing back the Nod Commanders assault on the region being bogged down by unexpected traps, carefully placed anti-air and armor defenses and mines placed in every place imaginable, it was nightmare down there. And now, trying to ensure that GDI was protected from harm by joining this alliance, the strain had been incredible. But now, he could relax.

"Director!"

Or so he thought. Growling under his breath, he set down the glass and looked up to see Lieutenant Sandra Telfair, InOps Division, standing there, an anxious look on her face. Jack woke up immediately; it took a lot to worry her. "Yes, Sandra, what is it?" The Lieutenant grabbed his laptop and swerved it so that he could still see it but she could type in commands. Fingers moved with determined speed as command after command was typed in. Soon enough, a video appeared, showing the distress signal of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the subsequent GFFA response, and the video of what had transpired. The Director's eyes tightened. They had only just learned of this and the situation was already bad. A rush of adrenaline surged through his body as memories of the Third Tiberium War rushed through his head. Sandra began to speak.

"We received the distress signal via the GFFA channels about ten minutes ago. The video feed of the Wanderjar invasion force shows over one hundred and sixty ships in the system." Granger locked his jaw into a grim scowl. An even greater challenge to overcome. If they did nothing, they would be safeguarding their fleets, saving lives and could focus on the GFFA negotiations.

However, the GDI did not attain its name but shirking from danger, when freedom was threatened, they answered the call. And now, they were needed again. "Besides, if we do this, it might spur the GFFA into action and may even speed up the approval process a little in the Senate, to show we do not hesitate to back up our words." His head shot up and he gazed at Sandra.

"Sandra, contact High Admiral Conway and tell him to send a message to both the GFFA and the CIS embassy that we are going to aid them and we are sending a taskforce to aid them. Have him emphasize that the GFFA needs to send reinforcements. We can hold the line until they for some time, but they need to aid us. Also, tell the Admiral that he needs to include a Dreadnaught in the taskforce. We have no reason to pull any punches with this and ensure that all ships have their full complement of armaments, soldiers, vehicles and deployment pods. If need be, we need to be able to fight a ground campaign and get set up. Have the Eagle on standby as well. We need something as backup." The Lieutenant showed only a flicker of surprise at mention of the Eagle before nodding.

"Sir!" Turning, she ran through a doorway and disappeared, off to contact the Admiral. The Director pressed a button on his desk. A voice materialized; an EV A A.I. replied.

"Yes, Director?"

"Get me the General on a secure channel. I have something that bears his attention."

****************************

Twenty minutes later....

The space above Mechis IV boiled and four shots of light appeared out of nowhere, as the GDI taskforce appeared. The GDIS Cairo, a Predator-class Dreadnaught, the GDIS Hope, a Grizzly-class Destroyer, and the GDIS Liberator and Fury, both Peregrine-class Cruisers, all appeared in the space surrounding the planet, a good length of distance away from the Wanderjar invasion fleet and the small but brave forces of Kenpachi and the CIS homeworld.

These massive ships, all but the Cruisers out-massing the Wanderjar ISD's without effort, all went into a loose T-formation, with the destroyer below the Cairo and the two Cruisers flanking it. Vice Admiral Charles Darmein stood on the bridge of his command ship, the Cairo, an impressive eight kilometers long, gazing at the data flowing through, while listening to the EVA A.I. giving progress and situation reports, tallying up the Wanderjar fleet and the CIS planet. Information scrolled down his personal screen about the planet and he grimaced slightly. Although they could easily move around, their forces were designed for mobility, he wished the terrain was not so rough. Straightening, the grimace gone, replaced by a cold, calm neutral facade, he spoke.

"Alright. Lieutenant Sharna, what do we have in our laps this time?" Lieutenant Sharna, a beautiful woman with long brown hair and sparkling blue eyes, read her screen and spoke up.

"Sir, EVA is counting over one hundred and sixty Wanderjar ships approaching the planet." Charles said nothing, but his eyes narrowed slightly.

"Outnumbered by that much, eh? Reminds me of the war..." He was about to speak when EVA interjected.

"Sir, picking up outbound CIS message to Wanderjar fleet...intercepting...receiving now."

To the imperial fleet in orbit this is supreme commander of the droid armies kenpachi. It seems i have overestimated the backbone of the democracy loving fools. While they sit in their chambers debating your fleet is free to defeat us and defeat us you will. Our military is unable to stop you this i have no illusions of. So i wish to seek terms of our surrender and our incorporation into the Empire.

The Vice Admiral sighed. The GFFA was taking too long, having the option of aiding CIS going through the Senate. That took too much time; sometimes, you had to make a decision and act on it. They were lucky the Director decided action was needed. "EVA, open a channel both to the CIS forces and to the Wanderjar fleet. Have the channel with the CIS be encrypted. Just in case.

Also, have all ships power up weapons and shields, and go to Red Alert. Have all soldiers, vehicles and buildings ready to be deployed ASAP."

Silence reigned for six seconds, as the EVA worked on it. "Ready, Admiral." Taking a deep breath, he began to speak.

Message to Wanderjarian fleet:

Wanderjarian fleet, you are violating the space of a sovereign nation and have invaded a peace-loving and innocent nation that has not raised its hand to you in the slightest. The Global Defense Initiative shall not stand for this. Withdraw your fleet and we shall refrain from tearing apart your little toy fleet. This is your only warning. If you continue to assault this world, count on your destruction. You will not leave this system alive if you take this warning lightly.

Encrypted Message to Kenpachi:

General Kenpachi, I am sorry for our late arrival. The GFFA has received your message but is caught up by the major flaw every democracy/republic faces: Red Tape. Their Senate is discussing the possibility of aiding you, but in the time it would take, it would be too late for you. The Director of the Global Defense Initiative, however, has seen fit to send a taskforce to aid you and buy you time. We have petitioned the GFFA to send reinforcements, but we do not know if they will come. I suggest gathering up all your government people, important leaders and anything else you want or need to evacuate. If things go sour, we will take you aboard and bring you to Terra Prime for safe haven.

When he was done, he turned to the bridge crew. "Arm all weapons, and have the fleet establish weapon locks. I want to let them know we mean business." The fleet armed their weapons, their energy shields came online and their point defense systems warmed up. All the pieces were in their places, the stage set for a mighty battle for the control of Mechis IV.

OOC: 1010102, you don't claim what I need. I claim what I need. I have 163 million, yes. But I don't need to have 200 to have strong ships. The way it goes, is less you have, the stronger they are. I have 12, count them 12, 12 ships ONLY. Out of a possible 163, so yeah, I think they would be quite powerful.

I know the rules, I am not dumb. I went for quality for a reason.

ooc: at this point i am fairly sure the GFFA wont enter this for fear of haveing fight the GE and the ESUS at the same time. Even with your help the empire wont have any trouble with sending their even larger nations if they had to. So i will have the CIS give in to the empire HOWEVER. I wont let the empire have its way forever. With the GDI's aid there are a few people who dont like the empire and will like to be taken out of the CIS space to maybe GFFA space.

Then in a few weeks/months i will form a new nations that will work as a resistiance force much like the Huntarian Alliance. They will be pest at first but one day i could see a full out civil war for controle of the CIS take place :gundge:

IC: Kenpachi read the mssage but this only confiremed the GFFA would not be comeing. Even tho if admired the courage of this nation comeing to their aid he still knew the fate of the CIS was sealed. He returned the message asking for their aid in one last hope for the future.

It is far to late to defeat the empire even if they were to lose the battle they can send many more fleets. Thus the CIS will give in to the empire. However i request your aid in takeing some stasis chambers from our military base at the northern pole of this world. Inside are people who will awake in time and who can rally the people one day to overthrow imperial rule. I will intrust them to you and see that they arive in the hands of the GFFA leadership.

Tell them even tho they failed to aid us out of fear for their own wellbeing those in those chambers will have far more honor and fight for those they do not even know if it is for a good cuase.
Kaldari
21-07-2007, 03:52
OOC: Actually, I have a few allies who ARE willing to join, one is GFFA. ESUS won't fight; I am in that alliance with another nation and it is fairly apathetic about people's wars. I doubt ESUS will get involved here as an alliance. At most Chronosia would get involved. As for the GE, again most of their resources are directed at Orthodox Gnosticism, so I doubt they could spare a large enough force.

Trust me, the GFFA takes a while to get going but when it does, it is amazing what they get accomplished. We just need to buy for time, and my nation can do that.

I am basically willing to undergo full scale war against Wanderjar in your name. Wars are not easy and almost never start on odds of our choosing unless we are the one starting the war.

However, if you still insist on this course of action, so be it. But know that the GFFA IS coming, and the GDI will not abandon you.

IC: "Sir, incoming message from General Kenpachi." The Admiral nodded.

"Put it on the main screen." The screen flickered and then the message appeared.

Charles narrowed his eyes. "Open the channel again to Kenpachi; it's time that GDI did what it does best: restore hope." The bridge crew smiled, as they gazed at the determined face of Vice Admiral Darmein. Sharna typed in several commands and a beep sounded.

"Channel opened sir."

"Still encrypted?"

"Yes sir."

General, I think you underestimate both the GFFA's mobilization efforts, and the resolve of the Initiative. We CAN win against the Empire; it won't be easy nor will we ever be able to sleep soundly without worrying about defeat. GDI is ready and willing to go to war to aid you, General. We can mobilize quickly if we need to, and, having fought several wars, we can hang on against all odds. All that is needed is your determination and will to fight on....and for you to keep undying hope in your hearts.

I ask...no, I beg you reconsider. If need be, the Director will commit Armageddon if its needed to get GFFA to help you. However...if you must take this course, I will respect your wishes and take these brave soldiers to safety.

Again, I am willing, as is all of GDI, to commit fully to your cause. The people know and are clamoring for you to win; for freedom to be protected and reign once more. Unclouded by the evil that is tyranny and dictators. We are willing to devote everything we have to your cause. Our flagship, the GDIS Eagle, the single mightiest weapon in our arsenal, is only a minute away from coming here. As soon as I send the signal, it will arrive. It can take on multiple fleets and come out on top; we have tested this against our alien foes, the Scrin. Trust in us, in GDI and we shall prevail."

The Vice Admiral turned and closed his eyes. "I see they need something to boost their spirits. Lieutenant, send the beacon."

The bridge looked startled. "Are you sure? We haven't even engaged the enemy yet."

"Not all enemies are physical, Lieutenant. Send the signal."

"Y-Yes sir." In an instant, a positron laser was fired at the anomaly they come out of opening, a Tanhausser gate which the message was sent through. On the other side, High Admiral Conway received the message, and soon he knew the terrifying truth of what was at stake....

Bridge of the Eagle

"Sir, incoming message!" James blinked and turned.

"Very well, put it through." The message scrolled on the screen and the entire bridge fell silent, as tension filled the room instantly. The High Admiral got up out of his chair and took a few steps forward, gazing at the message.

"Lieutenant, send this to Director Granger and be ready for a reply."

"Yes sir." The message was copied and sent to the Director's laptop. Tense seconds ticked by, feeling like hours as they waited for the reply. When it came, it was short, to the point, and, much like the former General, blunt:

GDI marches to war.

The Admiral nodded. "Bring us about and get that gate open! I want to be there a week ago!"

Mechis IV space

Seconds after the message was sent, the space boiled and an immense structure of steel and energy appear, over twenty-three kilometers long. The GDIS Eagle, the pride of the GDI Navy and ultimate warship for the Initiative, had arrived.

OOC: Such little faith ye have. You have the wrong link up in the forums which has made it difficult finding this bugger.

IC:

The pleas for help from a new nation had not fallen on deaf ears in the galaxy and least of all in the Galactic Federation. While most Senators were hesitant to vote in favor of an alliance action, there were those nations who could go without alliance approval and lend a hand whenver they so desired. Besides, the Abh bowed to no one and least of all an alliance run by democracy. Imperial Admiral Abriel Gaf'ton had a pleasantly evil smile plastered on his face. Nothing made the Abriel's day more than pissing off a good number of humans and other rival nations.

One of two transmissions had the Abh mobilizing their forces for a battle. There were already a large number of ships waiting in Hyperspace as a quick response for ESUS activity, a number were now rerouted towards the target area. Another transmission was later intercepted from an up and coming member within the Federation. Now Gaf'ton was sending out Admiral Spoor to lead the assault and defense of this new nation that consequently found itself under invasion by the Galactic Empire. Two aids were flanking his side as he walked down the metallic cooridors of the Imperial Capitol.

"I want our offensive forces on standby to meet contingents of the rapid response fleet enroute to Mechis IV. Admiral Spoor will command with her garrison forces from Latopanyu and lead the assault. They should constitute a number of cruisers, destroyers, support vessels, and the Rambirds. Also put Admiral Wakapale's fleet on high alert. I want her forces divided up between the Third Space gates and planespace in case the Galactic Empire tries to counter-attack us. That way we'll be ready. Put key military installations on alert and prepare for attack. Alert Star Forces of our intentions, I don't want anyone caught sleeping on this mission. Alright get the communication shuttles going and keep me informed."

The two Abh officers saluted and headed off to their duties. Gaf'ton rounded the corner towards the Jade Throne where he would inform the Emperor of their intentions doubtless that Emperor Debeusec already knew. The Abriel knew everything it seemed.

Enroute to Mechis IV

Flashes of light and darkness echoed through the realm of Hyperspace and Admiral Spoor enjoyed every minute of it, that and the possible battle on the verge of climax. Her chief of staff, Cufadiss, loosened his collar as he knew his Admiral would not suffer for anything less than a full scale attack if the enemy did not leave the people of CIS be. Spoor lived for riding into battle at the head of massive fleets and crushing the enemy beneath her boot heels. Such was the ecstacy of her existance. She was a marvelous genetic creation of Abh science and she was one of the premier military officers the Abh had to speak of. This was simply one more tour under her belt though she still got goose bumps before the first round of fire left her turrets.

"Oh dear chief." Her crimson eyes pleaded at the tormented officer.

"Uh yes ma'am?"

"By our readings we have reached our destination but I do not want the fleet all out on the battlefield at once. Maintain our current energy readings. If they throw up a FTLi field to keep us out, we'll at least be forced out into normal space."

Confused but willing to humor the Admiral, "Alright but how will that help us? They should know that we are here to help. It could avoid a conflict overall and this mission could be written off as a success without ever firing a shot. Or do you just intend to bum rush them?"

Spoor stroked her chin as she seemingly seriously contemplated the notion. "You know, I never thought about that. Not a bad idea Chief but I think we'll stick with my plan for now."

"Ok... so what would that be?"

A solo tear in the dimension of normal space opened to reveal the swirling gateway to Hyperspace. Out screamed a single Thunderbolt Starfury dividing the lines between Imperials and those defending the planet. It stood there with weapons powered down and no targeting solutions aquired.

Greetings from the Abh Empire. I am here to inform all invading parties that they should depart from this sector of space immediatly as the people of CIS are under our protection at this moment. The Galactic Empire has been the bully of the playground enough for today so if you could leave, then we can all avoid any unpleasantness and return home early. We hope you will comply.

The single fight sat there in space waiting for an answer.

Kenpachi cracked a smile he was starting to think he misjudged the other powers of space. Only moments befor he was about to ready to meet with the Imperial forces to surrender. Now with the table turning befor Kenpachi had even had time to sware himself to serve the Emperor.

A new message was put out for all to hear.

Death to Empire,Death to their sith masters!

Then a message for the GDI and Abh forces

Very well it seems the GFFA has a backbone after all. My forces still ready our defenses here on the world. Our fleet wont return here so they can guard other worlds. I will leave the Imperial Fleet in orbit here to your forces.

" Have the 3rd and 4th Droid divisions enter the mountains and canyons outside of the city have them set up and ready for Imperial Landings. I do not want them to directly face them. In the past the Imperials have had trouble with guerilla warfare."

Kenpachi turned to a comms officer and barked out more orders

"Have the Fleet at New Plympto stand at the ready. If the Empire runs into trouble here they will no doubt send for more forces to attack us elsewhere."

Kenpachi then sent one last message to the sith

You know it is not too late for you to surrender it seems my message was heard. It would be a shame for you to die here today befor i got my hands around your neck.

OOC: Sorry guys, got addicted to Star Wars Galaxies for a day or so ;)

IC:

"Ah," The Sith Knight Abaddon mused gleefully at the Global Defense Initiative's message, "So another wishes to fall before the Empire this day. Excellent," he hissed, a fire growing in his eyes feverishly, a fire of burning desire for conquest and slaughter, for the glory which one could only attain through conflict and warfare. The glory which he would reap from the Gods and from the Emperor would be ever lasting. He would bring these fools in as well.

"M'lord," The Communications Officer on the Bridge stood from his position behind the Voxx System, "We've recieved a communication from a fleet from the GFFA."

"Oh really?" Sneered Abaddon. "And might I inquire as to what those starry eyed women are asking?"

"Sir, they request we pul-" He never finished his sentence. The Sith Knight laughed uproariously, placing his hand to his eyes to mock wiping away tears of laughter.

"The Emperor's Response to this is quite simple really," He said. "No. Send him a response if you will please."

"Aye m'lord."

Reaver[/I]]

We wish to remind you that any shots fired upon a Galactic Empire vessel will result in an immediate declaration of war by the Emperor upon your people, and we do not believe you wish to bring this...... unfortunate set of circumstances, we humbly advise that you Return home. Immediately.

"I do believe this is more than adequate in our response," An Admiral stated, standing next to the Knight.

"Indeed. Do not fire upon them however. The Emperor requests that we have them make the first move."

"Aye m'lord, as you wish." With this the Admiral about faced, and strolled off into the vast corridors of the ship. And for now, the deep abyss of space was peacefull in the region, despite the ever growing amount of warmachines filling its vast expanses with the awsome glory of their killing abilities. Mechis IV had become a powder keg, one which could ignite a universal war of epic proportions....

Within mere moments of the response being received by the fighter and relayed to Admiral Spoor awaiting in Hyperspace, the realms of normal space were ignited with multiple energy spikes as jump points lit up the darkness of space. Out poured multiple ships of the Abh Empire taking position over the planet itself. The Latchkau along with her two escorts pulled out last along with four of her escorts as they took up position.

"All ships are linked up and have reported successful transfer from Hyperspace to normal space. Fleet is moving into standard formation with artillery ships to the rear and us at the front as you always wish. Whitestar squadrons are ready at your command."

Spoor's painted red lips matched the color of her eyes as her lips pulled back in an evil smile. She scanned the layout of everything on the holodeck. A nice setup and a fine crowd. "Very good Chief. Have all ships warm up weapon systems and defenses and be at the ready. Then get me a link to this commander of theirs."

Cufadiss worked at the glass screen only for a moment before a connection was established. "Online ma'am."

"A pity that you are so afraid to go to war with the Abh Empire but that is understandable. I would not relish such a thought if I were in your position as well. It would not reflect well on your Emperor if you were soundly defeated while attempting to conquer a nation weaker than your own all for the sense of getting off on some false notion of power and supremacy. Tell you what, I'll let you leave now so that you may save face by returning to whoever your new leader is without losing a ship. Stay and I will see to it that none of you will leave so that you may learn the depth of your mistake.

As I said earlier, these people are under the protection of the Abh Empire now. Leave at once. Do not make the mistake of thinking this is a conversation. This is an order."

Spoor whirled around to her Chief of Staff. "Be ready chief. I want targeting solutions locked into the data crystal and every ship ready to pounce if they make the mistake of attacking us."

"Aye ma'am. Configuring computer."

OOC: BTW This isn't a GFFA thing. It's more the Abh Empire going rogue against a majority of the nations in the alliance. Take that however you want it.

And for the ships in the system...
45 Whitestars
10 Victory Class Destroyers(B5 style)
15 Shadow Destroyers
25 Shadow Cruisers
5 Abriel Missle Cruisers
15 Rambirds

OOC: Wanderjar, its just Abh. Not the entire GFFA or an GFFA fleet. Might want to fix that.

IC: Vice Admiral Darmein slumped in his seat when the Eagle arrived. High Admiral Conway would take command now, and take the burden of this hot situation into his hands. Sure enough, he heard one of his Lieutenants state that a message was coming through. Waving a hand to tell them to let it through, he saw the slightly amused face of Conway. "Greetings, Charles. You don't look so good. Need some help?" He glared at Conway, though it was a mock glare, with plenty of relief shining through.

"I don't need help! But, since you seem to like all the glory and high-riding, I decided to let you do what you do best." The High Admiral laughed.

"Very well. I am taking command. Have the taskforce take up defensive formation in front of the planet. You are to defend the planet at all costs. I will take the fight to the enemy fleet." The Vice Admiral grimaced. As powerful as the Eagle was and how much he had faith in her and her captain, Charles was still worried. The enemy fleet was over one hundred and sixty ships; that was nothing to shake a stick at. And the Eagle was tough, not invulnerable.

"Sir, are you sure? The-"

"I know the risks, Charles. But in this situation, we have no choice but to deal with it. Thank you for your concern; just do your duty." Charles and James gazed at each other, their eyes showing off many emotions that only they could see; this could be the last time either spoke to the other.

"Yes sir."

"High Admiral Conway out." The screen blinked and Charles barked out the orders for the taskforce. As his bridge crew scrambled to follow the orders, he leaned back in his chair.

"Godspeed, James."

----------------------------------------

Aboard the Eagle

James clasped his hands behind his back as he watched the taskforce of four ships turn and proceed to block the planet to the Wanderjarian fleet. Leaving the Eagle in between them and the Imperial fleet. A smirk tugged at his mouth. "Outnumbered, and fighting the enemy with one ship; how does this sound familiar James?" A voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Sir, detecting spatial disruptions in sector four-seven-zero."

"Show me." The screen blinked to show the sector of space indicated. Within seconds, a single fighter shot out. He blinked; who would send a single fighter into such a hot zone? "Scan that ship, and see if it matches anything in our databanks."

"Yes sir." The Lieutenant moved her fingers over the keys, as the screen showed information scrolling down the side as sensors washed over the craft. She stopped for moment, shocked, then seemed to relax. "It's an Abh ship, sir. Sensors found their insignia." James let out a sigh of relief he had been holding in. He was definitely sure that the Abh had more ships hiding or on the way; they were not fools in warfare.

"Good to see my call for aid was not ignored."

"Sir, incoming message from the Abh ship. Putting it on the main screen." The screen blinked as the message was intercepted.

Greetings from the Abh Empire. I am here to inform all invading parties that they should depart from this sector of space immediately as the people of CIS are under our protection at this moment. The Galactic Empire has been the bully of the playground enough for today so if you could leave, then we can all avoid any unpleasantness and return home early. We hope you will comply.

James shocked his crew; he laughed loud and heartily at that. As their shocked expressions were locked on him, the High Admiral wiped the tears from his eyes. "Wow, I must say, they do have a sense of style." The computer beeped as more messages appeared.

Death to Empire,Death to their sith masters!

The Admiral grinned. "There we go! Charles must have given a rousing speech, for them to change so quickly when the Abh arrived. Lieutenant, remind me to send some of my finest wine and cigars to the Abh commander after this is all over."

Very well it seems the GFFA has a backbone after all. My forces still ready our defenses here on the world. Our fleet wont return here so they can guard other worlds. I will leave the Imperial Fleet in orbit here to your forces.

A message was sent in reply.

As Vice Admiral Darmein told you, whatever he said, the GFFA does not abandon people, especially when when a nation trying to join them is petitioning them for aid, and has stuck out its neck to help you. Do not worry, we will handle the Imperials.

Then, the reality of the situation came crashing down with the Wanderjarian reply.

We wish to remind you that any shots fired upon a Galactic Empire vessel will result in an immediate declaration of war by the Emperor upon your people, and we do not believe you wish to bring this...... unfortunate set of circumstances, we humbly advise that you Return home. Immediately.

James narrowed his eyes. They thought they could just shoo them away with the threat of this Galactic Empire. The GDI was unafraid of such threats, having to deal with their like in the Brotherhood of Nod. "Open a channel to them. Let's let them know how ridiculous they are."

We care little for your Galactic Empire. You are here, threatening an innocent nation with the worst tools of change and persuasion: War. All for what? A simple refusal to join? How pathetic. You can threaten us all you like with this Galactic Empire, all it shows how scared you are and how you cannot face us without this alliance backing you. GDI cares little for your threats; War has already visited us plenty of times, and in the most horrific of ways. There is nothing you can do to scare us with war. It is we who advise you leave, or I will rip your paper fleet apart with this ship alone, handing you a defeat so demoralizing, your military will disintegrate. We will pursue you and take the fight to you if we must. The Initiative will defend freedom to the last.

"Sir, detecting energy surges and lots of them." The High Admiral smiled. The Abh fleet was arriving. When it appeared, their numbers caused his eyebrows to raise. He expected a response but on this magnitude, it was beyond his wildest dreams.

"Sir, I am reading over one hundred and fifteen Abh ships. Outgoing Abh communication, intercepting now."

Chuckling at this, he turned to the bridge crew. "Power up the shields and weapons. Get me targeting solutions on the Wanderjarian ships, and open a channel to the Abh."

I would like to thank you for coming to our aid. We weren't sure if any were going to come and it looked grim. Now that you are here, I can see that our friend here will be quite safe. Now, do you want to strike first or shall I? I'm willing to let you have the first lick at them, consider it a gift for helping us.

The Eagle turned sideways, its right flank facing the Wanderjarian fleet. Their shields popped up, causing a slight shimmer effect around the ship to appear. Not only that but the railgun batteries and the Ion Blasters turned and aimed at the Wanderjar fleet. Along with the missile arrays opening up and going online, fully half of the Super Dreadnaughts weaponry was aimed at the enemy fleet.

By this time Spoor had turned from the railing that separated her from the holodeck beneath the hundred foot dias and had returned to her chair. It was a waiting game now. Waiting whether or not to see if this commander was wise enough to heed the warning since there wouldn't be a second.

The sound of metal striking flesh echoed through the quiet command deck as Spoor absently thumped her command saber in the palm of her hand. That silence was quickly broken by a message.

"Ma'am, transmission from the GDI flagship."

Spoor looked at her Chief of Staff then activated the large holographic screen at the head of the room. Image feed was activated allowing the first view of Admiral Spoor (http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h255/Abh_Empire/Seikai/spoor2.jpg) since the arrival of the Abh.

I would like to thank you for coming to our aid. We weren't sure if any were going to come and it looked grim. Now that you are here, I can see that our friend here will be quite safe. Now, do you want to strike first or shall I? I'm willing to let you have the first lick at them, consider it a gift for helping us.

A small smile spread on her lips. It was so good to talk to someone with a bit of refinement and taste and it pleased the woman to hear manners from another commander for once.

"Your offer is most generous. I believe I shall accept the chance to strike first. However, we will let these invaders make the first move before we react. Rest assured should they fire, we will not hesitate to act."

Her smile widened slightly. "Will you be able to keep up?"

Cufadiss looked at her puzzled for a moment then groaned. The enemy commander proved uncooperative as a playmate and now she was enjoying her time with this new commander. If only she would take a battle serious for once. In retrospect, Cufadiss knew that he was in the safest place within the fleet.

So while you may be operating alone on this one, I do not believe that Sithy truly cares. ;)

"Very well then," The Knight replied, glaring at the leadership of the Abh fleet with all the rage and hatred that one could feel towards one. He removed the hood from his black robes and grinned, his jaw line filled with rows of filed neediline teeth. "I wish to...iterate a counter offer to your demand. You flee the system, and what we allow of your fleets to survive shall not become slaves upon the forge worlds within the Eye of Terror. It is your decision. I however assure you, my dear Admiral, that should you make the awsome mishap of discharging even a simple blaster at our forces, that you yourself shall become digestive regurgitative protein for the daemonculaba." With that, he severed the connection between the ships.

"Coxswain, bring all Gothic Fleet ships into a battle column, and have the Imperial Star Destroyers behind the wall they provide. Ready the ships for boarding torpedoes as well. Should they open fire, they shall bring the entire hell of the warp upon them!" He shrieked with rage, bringing his lightsaber out from its holster at his side, and holding it limply in his right hand. He allowed it to rest by his right thigh, for he knew that soon enough, many a foe would need to be slaughtered by its awsome power.

Across the fleet, a hundred plus ships moved into their positions. A long line of Battleships, Cruisers, Gunships and Battle Barges proceeded to take shape, readying itself for a massive wave of Nova and Lance battary fire. Within the ships, Marines boarded the massive boarding torpedoes which would carry thousands of them deep into the heart of the enemy vessels. These machines were enormous drills which would also either drill through the enemy vessel or merely explode should the boarding party fail to conquer the ship, an event which in the history of Wanderjarian warfare had never occured.

Astartes Forces readied themselves with readings from the Book of Lorgar and releshing the glories of Chaos which they basked in. Berzerker's shrieked with orgasmic fury as they lusted, thirsted, craved to spill blood in the name of Khorne. Bolters were armed, ancient power armor donned, and safties deactivated as the elite warriors of Chaos prepared to go once more into battle. Abaddon did not know if these GFFA bastards had a God, but if they did, he would not be with them on this day. Upon this glorious and hallowed day of Chaos, the rebirth of Horus's dream would begin anew with the slaughter of yet another foe in his name. Blood would flow in rivers, screams would echo deep into the heart of the universe, and bodies would lay stricken bare in the burning hulks drifting forever into the cold abyss of space. Such was warfare. Such was the destiny of all who opposed the Empire.

"All ships in position my Lord," The Admiral said to the Sith Knight.

"Excellent," Abaddon replied. "Wait for them to fire the first volley, and with it ignite a war which will lead to a slaughter of biblical proportions! On this day," he began, chills of anger, burning rage and passion for slaughter cooing deep into his black soul with the voice of a lover's partner. "They discover hell!"

OOC: If so, Wandy, then we can simply counter that it isnt the GFFA. If it really isnt, he has a flimsy excuse for war, which won't aid him as much as he would like.

IC: "Your offer is most generous. I believe I shall accept the chance to strike first. However, we will let these invaders make the first move before we react. Rest assured should they fire, we will not hesitate to act."

Her smile widened slightly. "Will you be able to keep up?"

James smirked. "You worry about yourselves; GDI has never slowed down and it never will." A voice interrupted him as he continued to speak with the Abh Admiral.

"Sir, outgoing message from the enemy fleet." The High Admiral narrowed his eyes.

"Put it through. Let's see if they chose the correct course."

OOC:

He sighed. "As usual, they fail to realize the forces arrayed against them, and Daemons? Seriously, we have seen plenty of horrors with Kane and his ilk, and the Scrin. Nothing they can throw will bother us. Have all ships prepare for battle; all onboard troops are to prepare for enemy boarding actions." They watched as the Wanderjarian fleet began to roar towards them. In response, their guns turned to track the Wanderjarians.

"Open a channel to the Abh Admiral again."

Admiral, it would appear that they have made the first move. It's now or never; they obviously intend to try and force our hand. If we let them go, I am sure you know what will happen on the planet. If you are to take my gift and strike, the time is now. We may be starting a war, but I will not bow to fear and powermongers. Ultimately, the first blow in this war is up to you, Admiral, unless you choose to withhold it.

The deep-space sensors had picked up on the going's on of the GE and Emperor Nova would not stand to have another nation forced into the GE. He called for the mobilization of fleets.

Massive fleets materialized in the Asurian system. They were 3000 strong and each the pride of the Imperium. Kailen, Kivpa, Xander, Xavier, and Peras lead the massive amount of force as the five chosen Primarchs. Each Primarch led 600 hundred of the vessels. They knew the enemy they faced was a bastardization of everything the Imperium stood for and this increased their zeal. The Primarchs had already gathered around Peras as he was the one chosen to lead this spear. While each Primarchial flagship was superior in it's own respect they were rarely seen in a formation like this. The Ordo Malleus had even dispatched five Black Ships and a sizable task force from the Grey Knights. Peras was surprised that Emperor Nova would have mobilized so many but it was time to fight this new enemy. When Peras gave the order as one the ships would fold space with precision to box in the enemy.

With a word the entire Imperial fleet folded space as one to flank the Chaos fleet. Across all comms came one message, "FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!" In a brilliant flash of light the massive vessels of the Imperium cam to the aid of the CIS. Peras sent a communication from his vessel the Emperor's Wrath to all fleets in the area,

Abh, CIS, GDI we have come to assist you. The Emperor's armies and His Navy come to your aid this day. Both against the foul forces of Chaos and against the Galactic Empire's oppression. Today you stand with the Astartes and the Imperium as brothers should you prove yourselves worthy. However the dogs of war are stayed. We follow your lead in this battle.

The ships roared to life arming all weapons to assail the enemy. Nova Cannons and Lance batteries danced with energy. Torpedoes slid silently into their tubes and men readied into the boarding torpedoes and assault craft. Peras and his legion had something new in store for his enemies. Considering the very high concentration of Psykers in his Legion the weapon was an easy decision. A focused Psyker weapon which worked on the psychic energies of everyone on his vessel. A Psychic Lance if you will. Peras sent a message to the Wanderjarian fleet,

Foul Chaos scum should you continue your invasion into CIS space then prepare to meet the power of the Emperor's finest.

OOC: I had assumed as much but there was always the hope. Oh well, I was just making sure there wasn't any confusion.

IC:

Spoor laughed as she heard the final transmission from the enemy commander. Intimidation? Such a thing would only perhaps work on one who had not been emmersed in war as much as Spoor. Intimidation was for novices that did not truly respect their adversary. Mistakes shall be paid in full this day.

The communication link was reconnected with her fellow comrade. "Watch for the holes in their line and prepare to exploit them. We commence the attack now."

Spoor stood and walked to the railing overlooking her holodeck. "Listen up Chief. They moved their lower class ships to the front to protect their Star Destroyers. I want all artillery ships to focus on that one line and nothing else. Once artillery ships launch the first barrage, I want all Whitestars to form up into squadrons and attack. Heavy ships be at the ready, their turn will come to."

"Weapons. File targeting solutions for our Rambirds. We've done this countless times so let's do it right."

"Aye ma'am. Targeting now."

From the rear of the Abh fleet a wave of thousands of missles just from those five artillery ships. The wall of lead separated to go above and below the Abh fleet as they screamed towards the wall of Gothic vessels. Thousands of missles targeting just those vessels in particular. Long ago, the Abh had decided to get as nasty as possible with their missles. So now the threat was not only the current five thousand missles darting on random paths faster than should have been normal, but there was also the threat of the missles becoming even larger in quantity. Something gained from long and bloody wars, Abh missles could detect an energy signature fired in their direction. Once that occured the warhead would split into three giving defenses more targets to choose from and a much larger headache to deal with. They had been designed to swarm over fleets regardless of their size and get maximum effect.

With the volley of missles charging forward, the Whitestars kicked into high power and threw themselves forward. While the enemy fleet would be busy dealing with the missle swarm, Whitestars fell in for attacks leading the way with heavy pulse cannon fire and their main energy weapons on the bow of the ship. They opened fire on their flight, but once they were closer in tactics would drastically change.

"Artillery chambers are empty, reloading now Admiral. It will take a few minutes before they are ready for another attack."

Spoor nodded her head keeping her focus on the map below. She watched to see how much of an effect the first attack had.

OOC: How many ships do you have here Dratheria? 3000, or 3000 per fleet?

IC: "Sir, reading multiple spatial distortions in sector zero-four-beta. Estimate large fleet arriving within twelve seconds." The High Admiral gritted his teeth. Just what he needed, more trouble. The sensors indicated how many ships were arriving and where they would appear. The number began to increase dramatically, and he sent out a call for all ships to prepare for battle. He wasn't sure if enemy reinforcements or allies were coming. But he had to prepare for the worst. So, when the Dratherian ships arrived and their message was received, it was understandable that GDI was summarily tense.

James sighed, waving a hand, and the ship turned back to focusing on the incoming Wanderjarian fleet. "Sir, the Imperium fleet is powering up weapons and the computer show they are getting target locks on the Wanderjarian fleet."

"Sir, incoming message from the Abh Admiral."

"Put it through." James wanted to see if he had to have the onus of starting this war or if the Abh were fine in starting it.

Watch for the holes in their line and prepare to exploit them. We commence the attack now."

"Yep, they are." James shook his head and took a breath. "Go to Red Alert. Get me targeting locks on the Gothic's protecting those ISD's for our missile batteries, liquid Tiberium stock. It's time to put the hurt on them; keep the railgun batteries and the Ion Blasters charged up for now. Let the enemy get within range and after the Abh have torn them up real good, we will unload on them. If any manage to get past, their torn and battered hulls will face fresh fire from the taskforce. Now, get to it!"

He watched as the screen displayed the approaching Wanderjar fleet. Thumps sounded over the hull in a staccato beat as thousands upon thousands of the liquid Tiberium missiles shot from Eagle and headed for the Gothic-class ships. Countless numbers of them would be destroyed but more would get through and slam into the enemy ships. Large, green explosions would slam all over the ship's shields, if they had any, and do untold damage to the energy fields, considering that the liquid Tiberium bombs were able to explode with the force of two gigatons in the Third Tiberium War and they had improved on that since then. If the shields went down and/or the hull was hit, the explosion would do incredible damage to the hull. But it would present a continuous threat in the battle as the liquid Tiberium would splash over the hull and began to corrode it as it spread, making the armor into more Tiberium. Over the course of the battle, the ship's systems would fail one after the other as the Tiberium took over the wires, the computers, the power boxes, and other items required to run them.

This was only the first wave. And the beginning of a war that would shake the foundations of the universe itself.

"Well, well, well. What have we here?"

Servant-Admiral Kailis's thin lips were curved in a disapproving frown, the only facial expression he had displayed since his sojourn on the Lady of Stars. Another of the out-of-favour Servant-Admirals in the Kingdom of the Sovereign, the rebellion that had taken place on Seneschal had been playing on his mind for some time.

He had been called to crush the rebellion, but he did not want to. Sashiar had been a friend. A man willing to carry out the most of what Golheas wanted him to do, but still a friend. His rebellion had redeemed him entirely in Kailis's eyes. Five hundred ships, though.. that was a potent force. He could not, would not, face Sashiar in battle. Then again, if he remained, and disobeyed, he would surely be killed. A dilemma.

The message had caught his eye some time ago, and it was within less than an hour's travel. He could be there, and do as he would.. attractive.

The priest standing next to him spoke again. "Servant-Admiral, you must set a course for Seneschal. This tarrying only hurts the Tyrant's cause!"

"Don't be a fool, Illgem. Tyrant Golheas has over a thousand ships, and millions of elite troops. That is more than enough to crush a rebellion of fifty thousand militia a thousand times over. My ships, one way or another, will not make any difference."

"The Tyrant has called for you, Servant-Admiral. Surely you would not disobey him?"

A smile played across Kailis's lips. "No, I think I would. If Golheas cannot retain his grip on the Guide, and retain his mastership over his finest Servant-Admiral, what use is he as a leader? He may be the vessel of the Mind and Body, but prophecy dictates he who controls the Guide controls the course of those who serve."

"Yes, but-"

"Be quiet, lllgem. We will set a course for this.. Confederacy of Independent Systems. There, we will crush whomever I see fit to crush. Golheas does not command my service through loyalty - no, his strength is failing, and I will return my service only when he has proven himself strong enough to retain it. Let the word of the Sovereign be spread to other worlds."

"You choose to disobey the Tyrant, Kailis? Know that I will have to report this!"

Kailis walked over to Illgem casually, and, with his bony, tall frame, held Illgem against the wall. "Illgem, my friend. My priest. Your loyalty to such a fool as the Tyrant is does you no good. However, it is inconvinient. And, as you obviously won't be quiet - I know you priests too well, I will have to.. shut you up, as they say in the vernacular."

He grinned, showing ghost-white teeth. Red fire spurted from Illgem's fingers, and he chanted desperately, invoking the power of the Sovereign to consume Kailis, horrors swarming into his mind, the metal around him twisting and bending.

Kailis's eerie grin grew wider. A flick of his hand, and a priest-shaped smudge remained on the wall.

A message went out to the rest of the fleet. "Ladies and gentlemen. Another phase of the Prophecy is in hand. We have been ordered to a system held by the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Although their actual existence is irrelevent, I feel it is foolish to allow the heretics who follow the path of Chaos to continue their dread campaign of domination, world after world. Although it is a minor fleet we have here, we will do some work for the Sovereign this day. Move out."

Thirty-nine minutes later

The fleet rippled into existence, the Lady of the Stars like a pebble on the calm waters of space, the other ships unfolding like the waves of the ripple, and, finally, the picket ships and scouts on the edge of the fleet the final part of the strange distortion. The Sovereign had arrived. Within short order, a message was sent.

This is the warfleet Unfolding Flower Towards The Sun, representative of the Sovereign, fulfiller of His will, and hallowed by His puissance. We are here to respond to a distress call, and ensure that none who worship wrongfully are allowed to prevail here. We hereby formally call upon all forces here to clarify their existence here, with the exception of those on the planet below. Should you fail to do so, you will be deemed hostile, and we will... remove you.

OOC: Suggestion. I take Wanderjar's place until he gets back. Assume his fleet has retreated momentarily or something (maybe something a little more plausible, but still..), and I'll bump up my fleet numbers a bit. Or just ask him if he's willing to remove his involvement so far, and just 'come in' later.

Or, hell, I could come in with a large fleet, negotiate with the CIS, and, when they're not willing to surrender, leave. And when Wanderjar comes back, I come back and fight him, as was my original plan. I'm up for more-or-less anything at this point.
