Prince Albert nervously sat on a private jet and thought about what had happened to him. The last two days had been a world wind for him. Three days ago he had gotten a letter from Queen Alice of Myakka stating that she had chosen Albert being a candidate, to marry her and become King Consort. When reading the letter Albert thought it must have been a dream, but it wasn’t. Now he was on his way to meet Queen Alice. He knew that he still had not won her heart, but he would try his hardest.

During the past days all Albert could think about was Alice. He could barely even do his studies. Images of Alice would pop into his head, and divert his attention. Albert often thought of what their encounter. Most of the time they would end up being a totally failure, but he kept his spirit up.

Now it was the real deal. The pilot had told him that they were fifteen minutes away from their designated airport. Albert turned his head and looked out the window. Now was going to be the Day of Judgment for him. Albert knew that he would be interrogated and looked over numerous times. This trip was going to have to test his wits.

Albert tried not to think about that, but turned back to his book. He had just found this book, 100 Years of Modern History, just yesterday. When the letter had come from Queen Alice he was trying to find it, but knew that the letter was more important. But now he had to get back to his studies because he did not want to lag behind. Albert knew that once he got back to Canadstein a mound of work might be there. Honestly he had no earthly idea how long he would be in Myakka for.

As the plane landed Albert tried to keep his cool, but almost was on the verge of throwing up. He held in, but felt woozy for a couple of minutes. Once the plane came to a complete stop Albert took a couple of deep breaths. He had no idea if the Queen would be there or a bunch of advisors. Well there was only one way to find out. Albert got up and stood near the door of the jet. One of the staff opened it and set the door on the ground to reveal steps.

The sun enveloped the cabin. Albert put his one of hand in front of his face and walked out into the open. Now was the time. One by one Albert descended each step, until he felt the tarmac. The people that must have been waiting for him could see a somewhat tall blond. He was wearing a three-piece suit and a brown bowler hat. Though he looked like came straight out of the early 20th Century, Albert had grown accustom to wearing these cloths. Putting his hand down now he could see everything.

Queen Alice had been alerted that Prince Albert had arrived at the airport and sent some representatives to greet him; actually the Foreign Minister did that, sending some people to escort the prince to the Queen’s palace. He was greeted by the escorts and then given a seat in a limousine that drove through the motorcade, flanked by two crowds of civilians on both sides. Inside the vehicle, Prince Albert was told about the Queen and just some guidelines he should observe. The escorts did notice his clothing and thought it was quite interesting to see a prince wearing such clothing, but it did not make them think any less of him as a suitor.

Prime Minister White was told also about the arrival of Prince Albert, who he felt was an alright choice for a suitor, he sent his best wishes to Alice in the hopes “their (your) meeting can be productive and worth while.” After a lengthy drive, Prince Albert’s limousine arrived at the Palace. He was escorted in and told to wait for a moment as the Queen was fixing herself up.

After a couple of minutes, a very attractive and extremely beautiful young woman came down the stairs and towards Albert, who she studied for a brief moment. “You must be Prince Albert. I am Queen Alice of Myakka; it is an honor to meet you.” Queen Alice said in a refined tone. She wore a light green dress embroidered with designs and decorations and encrusted with some jewels. Her looks amazed Prince Albert and Queen Alice smiled a bit as she studied the expression on her guest’s face.

She offered him her hand and said to him: “Perhaps you would like a tour of the Palace?” She smiled at him and waited for his response.

During the ride over to the place, Albert carefully listened to every word escorts had told him. He defiantly did not want to screw up this meeting. Albert thought of it as though his life depended on it. This might be his only chance to meet a person that one day might be his wife. As he looked out the window he saw crowds of people. They were all probably wondering who the new suitor of Queen Alice was now.

Albert took a deep breath once the limousine. To him it seemed hours to get to the palace, but time had slowed down for him. Many questions popped into his head as he got out of the limousine and entered the palace. What she actually like him? What kind of character did she have? Would she just be another spoiled child? So many questions, and he would have an answer soon enough.

Once Albert entered the palace he took off his bowler hat. He looked around and could not find his dear Alice. His eyes scoured the massive room, but no side of the Queen. Had someone played a bad joke on him. One of the escorts told him that Alice would be down shortly. He gave out a sigh of relief, but he was still very tense.

Then out of his eye Albert could see Queen Alice. Prince Albert stood motionless and speechless for a couple of minutes. As he guessed Queen Alice was more beautiful in person. The pictures of her did not capture her elegance, grace, or even her full beauty. The dress she wore suited well with her figured and seemed to make her glow. Albert just stood there saying nothing for a moment, after Alice had addressed herself.

"Oh...sorry as you probably know I am Prince Albert of Canadstein. It is a pleasure to finally meet such a beauty as yourself, Queen Alice. I have been waiting for this day to finally come." Albert replied with a smile.

Albert could smell the sweet aroma coming off of her body. He could not tell what the smell was, but it was simply delightful. His light green eyes tinkled as he looked at her beauty. Albert took his eyes off of her for a second to not stare at Alice. Honestly he could not believe that he had won against all the suitors. There must have been some quality that Alice had liked.

As she offered her hand, Albert looked up to her. Her blue eyes seemed to captivate him. They were almost magical. Gently he took her hand and held it. The moment he touched her hand it was as though electricity was running through his body. Alice's hands were so soft and warm. They made him feel comfort and warm.

"I cannot think of any other way to start our meeting, Queen Alice. Oh and you may call me Albert. I honestly don't like it when people call me Prince Albert. Kind of makes me feel as though I am above people." replied Albert. "So, Queen Alice why did you pick me out of all the other suitors?"

As they walked through the many corridors of the Palace, passing by the portraits and statues, Alice listened to what her suitor had to say to her. She turned her head to him, her eyes locking into his as she smiled for a brief moment. “Albert, the reason I chose you was because I felt you were…quite the good suitor. From your letter, you seemed to generate the most interest in me.” Alice hoped that would be an acceptable answer for her guest, it was true that he interested her the most out of all the others.

Alice took him to his guest room, which was quite large and filled with amenities of all sorts. Albert’s suitcases were there, right beside the desk in the room. “This is where you will be staying. I hope it is alright for you.” Alice said before they continued their tour, which gave Albert a full look at the many rooms and corridors of the Palace.

They soon found themselves in the Palace Gardens, and Alice guided Albert to a table protected by some shade. She poured herself and him some tea and gave him his cup. Looking at Albert with a almost charming smile, she began to talk to him. “Albert, tell me more about yourself.” She said to him, taking a sip from her tea before greeting a maid who had some sandwiches.

As Albert and Alice passed through the palace he looked at the portraits and statues. It seemed oddly like back at home. He guessed that most royal families kept pictures of past family members. Maybe it was to keep their memory alive or to show off how great they were. As she smiled he could see the warmth and compassion in it. Albert slightly chuckled and continued to follow her.

Once making it to a guest room he looked around. Albert would not expect anything better than this. Every room within the house had its own individual character and feeling. It was an exquisite masterpiece. He set his bowler hat on the bed knowing that he would not need it. Albert gladly followed Alice through the rest of the house not saying a peep, but absorbing this work of art.

The pair went through the garden and sat down at table. Now was going to be the time of the interrogation. Albert gracefully sat down and looked right at Alice. His green eyes seemed to be dancing with the light.

"Thank you, Alice. May I call you Alice?" Albert said with a nod as he took the cup. He smelled absolutely wonderful. Albert took a sip as he listened to her and then put the cup down.

"Well I am second in line for King, while my brother Harry is going to become King. While we were young lads we were inseparable. If you saw one of us the other would be by his side. Most of the time we only had each other. Though Harry was quick to getting friends, unlike me. But overtime I developed friendships. I tried to live a semi-normal live, but was always being spotted out in public. But I guess it is our birthright. Through high school I became a record holder in track and was noted as being "one of the fastest kids" in Canadstein. I guess I loved the speed. But the most important thing was grades. I was one of the top students of my class, but was constantly trying to gain more knowledge. I guess that is why I am currently enrolled at Cromwell University." Albert stated. He picked up a sandwich and took a bite. Then he set it down on a plate. His cheeks were reddened. Albert seemed to be embarrassed by telling about his life. He usually did not like to talk about himself. It made him feel like he was gloating.

"So how about you tell me about yourself?" said Albert as he brought the cup to his mouth.

"You may call me Alice, I do not mind." Alice said to Albert before sitting down on her seat at the table. The weather was quite nice for them to have some tea outdoors. Alice fixed her dress up for a brief moment as she sat at the table before she looked at Albert.

Alice listened to everything Albert said about himself, some of the stuff he said reminded her of herself and things in her life. As she listened, she occassionally took a sip from her cup of tea or a bite from a sandwich. When Albert had finished talking, she smiled at him. "You have had quite the life, Albert." Alice said to him. Alice then remembered Albert's question and began to give him an answer.

"I was just recently made the Queen of Myakka, I have one sibling, a brother like you, his name is Alexander. My brother and I get along alright, even if we have some disputes between each other. For me, school was alright, I was an honor student, I had excellent grades. I was able to manage going to school, because we have a "Royal School" in this area that we go too, the public saw me mostly when I was with my parents at events.

For athletics, I mostly rode horses but I have played other sports, I am quite good at sports, but I consider myself more academic. I graduated from college and university and then later became the Queen of Myakka, after my father passed away..sometime after my mother did."

Alice decided that would be enough for now, hoping it satisfied Albert enough. She finished her tea and sandwich and then stood up from her seat and her eyes locked in upon Albert. "Albert, would you like to go horse riding with me?" she said, smiling a bit at him.

"Well Alice it seems we have much in common, than I actually expected." Albert replied as he smiled warmly as Alice, after he intently listened to her.

Within Albert's stomach he was feeling a something strange. He thought that maybe it was some kind of cramp, but it was not painful in the least. It actually felt warm and made him feel happy. Albert chuckled for a moment. He exactly what he was feeling. It had been a long time and he had almost totally forgotten about it. The feeling was love. Was he truly following in love with gracefully and elegant beauty?

Albert remembered having these feeling ages ago, but the love was never returned. So he tried to never feel it again after being rejected so many times. But it had magically slipped through again. Maybe Alice was the one...

Albert broke out of his trance and looked up to Alice. He started to blush as he noticed that she was waiting for an answer. His eyes made contact with hers, and he quickly looked away. Those captivating blue eyes had enticed him, but he did not want to stare.

"Oh sorry...I was just thinking about something...but I would love to go riding with you." Albert said as he got up. His hand was slowly maneuvered to hers, and then he held it. He looked up to her, and started to blush and smile. "Lead the way!"

"That is true, we do have much in common." Alice said as her blue eyes gazed upon her guest attentively. Alice looked at Albert for a moment as he was in his trance. When he broke out of it, she smiled at him and nodded, taking him to the stables.

There were only two horses at the moment, and while Alice took her personal horse, she gave Albert the "guest horse", which was only ridden by guests. They rode out of the stables and around the palace for a while, enjoying the calm serenity of their surroundings.

As they rode, Alice thought of an idea. She looked at Albert and pointed to a tree in the distance. "I bet you I could beat you in a race to that tree." Alice said with a smile before adjusting herself on her horse.

Albert followed Alice to the stables and looked in wonderment. It had been ages since he had rode on a horse, which resulted in Albert being a tad nervous. He did not want to embrace himself in front of the Queen.

Slowly he moved up the horse. Albert knew that he needed to gain this horse's trust. The horse could instantly tell that a strange was coming toward it. Stopping for a moment he thought. From a pocket he produced a carrot. God knows why he had a carrot in his pocket, but he did. The carrot slowly moved forward, until the horse's mouth took hold of it and started to eat.

Albert looked back at Alice and smiled. Then he finally moved up to the horse. Once getting to the horse he looked into its eyes. They were gentle, but had a fire behind them. Albert rested a hand on it's muzzle and started to pet it. The horse seemed to like it. He quickly mounted the horse and rode out with Alice.

The grounds of the palace were simply breath taken as they pasted by. It only seemed to enhance the features on Alice's face. She simply was one of those women who had natural beauty. Albert enjoyed the silence and beauty of this place.

Nervously Albert guided the horse to follow Alice. As they went around each bend, Albert was worried about falling off, but seemed to lead the horse natural. As they stopped Albert looked to the tree Alice had pointed out. It seemed like a good challenge. But the lingering thought of losing control or falling off was within his head.

"I accept your offer Alice, but do not think I will go easy on you." Albert said as he readjusted himself. "Call the mark, Alice."

Alice had been surprised a bit that her royal guest had a carrot in his pocket, but she did not ask him about it as she got herself mounted on her horse, in some time they were out of the stables and on their horses.

They rode around for a while in the palace grounds, just enjoying each other's company. When Albert accepted Alice's offer for a race, Alice had the two riders position themselves in a part of the palace grounds directly pointing to the tree she mentioned earlier. Fixing herself on her horse's saddle, she held the reins and prepared to ride away swiftly.

Within a couple of minutes they were off racing, swiftly they rode their horses, like bolts of lightning but in the end, Albert stopped his horse to hear Alice at the tree. "It seems I am victorious." Alice said nicely before dismounting from her horse, leaning against the trunk of the tree she had rode towards. The tree provided a good amount of shade and Alice beckoned Albert over to her.

"This is my favorite tree, I used to come here all the time when I was young." Alice explained to Albert as they stood there under the branches of the tree.
