All these poor people from around the nations, having nothing, no ambition, no meaning, it is our responsibility to give them ambition and training to get jobs, be somebody, feel included

Nikki Honeywood typed her report out to be presented to the Planning Council. She knew it would never get passed, she then had another idea, make it international and get the backing of several respected nations.

To: Miss Honeywood,

We have had a problem in our airports and ports, we have a number of travelers who have the unfortunate condition of being stranded because their countries have been destroyed in the various wars in nationstates. We would like to send them to you so they can have jobs somewhere else. Some of them even had their countries turned into nuclear wastelands. We will gladly cover transportation costs for approximately 240 ex-patriots as well as give you $50 million dollars to help you build facilities to help them. Some of them have caused um, sticky diplomatic situations.

Regards,

Happy Dude Yaywow, Minister of Foreign Affairs

There's no excuse for poverty in todays world except for sheer laziness. The oppressive grip of socialism and communism is receding and the global mixed market is adequately providing a class system in which anyone who wants to work can infact find work. The only thing this project will accomplish is moving lazy, poor people from one place to another.

The Sanctuary will look into each case and if there is no reason for them to be here.....in other words...apathy, then they will not be gained access. There are some people who by either natural or political reasons are in a disadvantaged situations, and the country will take ages to be able to support their worst off population, but till that time we will take them in and look after them.

The only reason people become lazy is because their countries are not doing enough to motivate them, and the are lazy because they have the ability and are ignored and not investigated.

Obviously unwrapping some skeletons from your politicial cupboard.

I respectfully disagree. It is natural for human beings to want to be successful. When the tools, IE jobs, are available to accomplish that and a person chooses to not take advantage of them, it is sheer laziness.

We shall see how successful this expenditure is. The Libertarian Federation actually suffers from a lack of skilled, lower class workers. I don't have the ability to finalize a deal of this sort, but if you can create a working system of training these people, and they pass certain requirements, we may be willing to financially support you in order to gain access to these people.

David Wallace

You are both deluded in the modern setting, manufacturing and essential services require less and less people to run them. Automation and advances in science effectively make those jobs that are truly essential require less people. Rather than adjust to this reality, and create meaningful work and things for people to do, most countries follow the delusional idea of turning every person into a customer service or information services worker which is nonsense.

Aristotle said that when brute labor can be replaced by machinery, men can devote themselves to becoming truly free. Because of the delusional ideas of political and economic systems forced upon us we are left in a system that crushes the human soul in the name of profit or societal good neither of which lead to greather human development or freedom.

There is a way out, but most will not follow it, because it requires movement away from the idea of either being a master or a slave. A party member or a capitalist cog...

And exactly what is your idea of "meaningful" work?
