Government
The Islamic Republic of Droskianishk is a theocratic republic. There are Presidential elections every 8 years, the current president, Ahmed Kaliem, is serving his 8th year now and is seeking re-election, there are no term limits. There are two houses of the Droskian Parliament, the House of Believers which is open to males of any walk of life in the republic, and the House of Clerics which is open only to Imams but these Imams are voted on by the people eligible to vote within the republic. Suffrage is open only to males 18 and older. Each house has 200 members. The Judicial branch of the Islamic Republic is run by the Droskian Islamic Courts (DIC), these courts operate under Shar'ia law and operate largely free of oversight from either the President or the House of Believers. DIC judges must be Imams nominated by the President and then confirmed by the House of Clerics, and only the House of Clerics has the power to fire a DIC judge. The vice president is the presidential candidate with the second most votes.
There are currently three national political parties:
The Economic Liberty Party (ELP), which is largely a capitalist party that wishes to see liberal reforms in both the economic operation of Droskianishk and the governmental operation of Droskianishk (ie, womens suffrage). The current president is a member of the ELP.
The National Islamic Party (NIP) believes that Droskianishk is a good start in the mission to bring the world to Allah. Although Droskianishk still has a long ways to go it has come a long way. The current vice president Muhammad Musharaf is a member of the National Islamic Party and an Imam himself.
The Droskianishk Socialist Party (DSP) believes that Droskianishk is headed in an entirely wrong direction. They wish to see the religiouisty of Droskianishk dismantled and an entire overthrow of the system.

There are four major divisions of the military.
The Droskian National Army, is the largest branch.
The Droskian National Navy, is the second largest.
The Droskian National Air Force, is the third.
The Qu'ranic Guard, is the elite special forces of Droskianishk.
