Hetgharian soldiers moved to the south lands, sporting beautiful yellow uniforms in the midst of the winter. Their advance was steady and rather slow as they trudged through the European snow tugging with them cannons and horses. It was the soldiers duty to their state to bring about excellence in battle, and defeat their enemy in a few quick, decisive blows. If they succeeded in working as they should just this one time, then the Hetgharian Principality would significantly increase in size at the defeat of yet another rival.
The target that the soldiers went on to fight was none other than the villains in Carloginias. The Turkish barbarians who lived there were a regular threat to the empire, and one that could not be ignored easily. The two nations had been long time rivals, ever since Hetgharia became powerful enough to contest the Turks’ power. The two empires would finally come to blows over who would be the main influence in the black sea. Time was rushing forward as the attack was about to begin.
Before the soldiers would go to war, however, there was the issue of a declaration first. Surprise attacks were seen as nothing but dishonorable, looked upon with disdain by all the civilized leaders of the world. A Cossack cavalryman made the trek to the capital of Carloginias alone, braving fierce mountains and wicked storms. The message he carried with him was one of ultimatum to the Turks: Surrender your grip over Slavic peoples in the Balkans, or be punished!
The Cossack made his way into the court cautiously, knowing well that the barbarian Turks may take his life. He rested assured, however, that if they did this it would be the end of their empire.

Meanwhile, messengers were sent to the courts of The Nordic Empire, the Sakhal Empire, and Honoko. Hetgharia was seeking to have aid in its quest against barbarism and Turkishness. The messages were all exactly the same in content, bearing the following message:
Good leaders of Europe,
I, Czar Tsavol II of Hetgharia come to you humbly to discuss matters of great importance. Your nation has been considered a friend of our Empire for some time now, and we now come to you in favor on those grounds. Surely, in our times of friendship, you’ve learned that we in Hetgharia have one great enemy in this world- the scoundrel Turks that have conquered our brothers.
As we speak, an army marches to Carloginias, prepared to strike initial blows. We’ve already sent a message declaring war, and hope that it reaches them before this request reaches you. What Hetgharia wishes is the support of your empires in the conflict against Islamic barbarism. I humbly ask you to raise your armies in our support of our forces, and help us strike down the Turks where they stand. In doing so, your nation will be rewarded with territory and wealth beyond your imagination. In the very least, however, should you refuse to aid us, we request that you do not take up arms against us, as doing so would result in a larger war.
Please consider this carefully. I come to you with open arms.
Signed,
Tsavol II
Czar of Hetgharia, Archduke of Karetia, Patriarch of Crimea, Khan of Shoyiko, Regent of Elyhteria, King of the Poles, and Bishop of the East.
