OOC: Constructive criticism only.

The Democratic Republic of Utopia Two is a nation whose population numbers seven million, with its capital at Civitas Solis. It is governed by the National Party (President Robert Mossman), which holds "Mossmanism" as its ideology. Mossmanism is a ideology influenced by Utopian Socialism, Utopianism, Objectivism and other philosophies. Utopia Two is a single party nation.

Utopia Two uses capital punishment for only "certain people", most criminals are in prison or in hard labor, used for building projects, etc. There is no reforms being planned at the moment for this system in Utopia Two.

Mossmanism's goal is to establish a "national utopia", it is not uncommon to see co-operatives and communes around the countryside, influenced by philosophies first created in the 1800's.

Education and healthcare are free to all, and women's equality is guaranteed by the Constitution. The constitution declares concerning women (from Robert Owen):

"Women will be no longer made the slaves of, or dependent upon men ... They will be equal in education, rights, privileges and personal liberty."

Workers work for eight hours a day from Monday to Friday and it is mandatory they get Saturday and Sunday off, as the "Charter of the Rights of the Worker" guarantees. The Charter quotes from Robert Owen:

"Eight hours daily labour is enough for any human being, and under proper arrangements sufficient to afford an ample supply of food, raiment and shelter, or the necessaries and comforts of life, and for the remainder of his time, every person is entitled to education, recreation and sleep."

Utopia Two believes war should only be used in defense of the nation and believes in strict neutrality/non-intervention. The focus of the military is "Total Defense", which was recently declared by Dwight Jacobs, Minister of Defense.

There is no national religion, "nor shall there ever be", of Utopia Two, according to the Constitution. Other things found in the Constitution include the clauses that declare the nation's strict neutrality/belief in non-intervention.

OOC: I'd put a bit more in about culture and military stats. Even if you don't go to war often (if at all), its helpful so that you can adequately gauge your defensive capabilities. Otherwise, very good.

OOC: How do you calculate your military stats?

OOC: Use an economy calculator, such as Sunset, to figure out your budget. For military personnel, you just take a certain percentage of the population. Five percent is considered the max if you want an intact economy.

OOC: Thank you for the information. According to an online conversion website, I have about 350000 soldiers in my military (5% of seven million).

OOC: How do you calculate your military stats?

OOC: Start with your tax rate. Figure out how high you want your taxes, and how much money on average people make. Multiply this by the amount of people in your nation, and then divide your tax rate. Then take this number and figure out how much of your budget will go into the military, and get that percent out of your national budget.

Now figure out how many of your people will be in the army, keeping in mind that 5% is the maximum you can have before your economy collapses, and should only be used when your nation is invaded. .5 percent has been said to be good for a peacetime army.

Now divide your military budget by your military size to get the spending per capita. Give them wages, say ten-thousand a year, then figure out how much many you have for each soldier, keeping in mind training and logistics. Then go to storefronts, and use your money to ensure each soldier gets a gun, uniforms, food, etc.
