The Grand Nasier sat in his office looking out into the fields of clouds that met with the towering cityscape of Lorkhan’s capital. He was flanked on his right and left by high ranking staff members and representatives from L-NRG, SujTech, and NeroCom. The three companies made up Lorkhan’s leading national corporate industries, and they each had a high stake in the deal that was about to be made.
“I don’t think this will be good for Lorkhan’s sense of nationalistic pride.” a staff member argued. “We make products for Lorkhan, to be sold to the people of Lorkhan, and to build a self-reliant economy and independent culture. What we are doing here is going to open ourselves to hundreds of nations who will attempt to take away from our nation what we have struggled to give them.”
“What it will do.” Valias replied to his staff member. “Is boost our economy and give us what we require to further our agenda to institute Lorkhan as the official super power on Corellus. Falgoust has already opened their shores to foreign powers and we’ve received intelligence that DaxCorp plans on going public. We will not be left to be forgotten while other nation’s expose themselves. By doing nothing at all while our fellow nation’s move forward, we are in fact going backwards.
“So it is done then?” The L-NRG representative asked of his president.
“Yes.” Valias stated firmly as he pressed his pen down on the parchment sitting on his desk. “By the end of the year we will open Enclave 1, 2, 3, and 4 to foreign nations.”
Valias signed the parchment and handed it to his Minister of Trade. With this action the fate of Lorkhan was sealed. They would once again expose themselves to the dangers of the outside world, but also to the rewards of the international market. He had placed trust in his people that they had developed a sense of nationalist pride enough to protect Lorkhan from foreign influence.

The Nationalist Republic of Lorkhan is happy to announce that for the first time in almost two decades, they will once again return to the world of international politics and trade. Because Lorkhan is a landlocked nation, the government relies heavily on island enclaves for international trade. Lorkhan is opening four of these trade enclaves to the international market. Each of these island enclaves holds enough room for three nations, making room for twelve nations in total. Depending on the success we have with these nations, we will open more enclaves to other nations.
Through out the coming weeks, Lorkhan will be accepting requests from respectable nations and corporations to join our program. You are welcome to visit our capital of Järten Prime, where we shall further discuss terms and agreements.
Lorkhan’s available major export industries include: Timber, uranium mining, arms manufacturing, agricultural products, and iron ore.
