Government System: Autocracy in essence, though the nobility play a signiffcant force in society they act as officers in the miltary with all the power going to the king.

Culture: Based upon the colonial development of the Empire, starting back due to the need for more lands for the growing populations of the homeland, the Nordic Empire has since then turned into a great and powerful military power due to constant expansion. Due to an expansionist growth the enconomy of the Empire has changed with the homelands into the production of weapons and finished goods that are imported from the colonies. Further, the Empire has come to relie on slavery in the colonies to supply luxury goods and resources to be turned into finished goods and to be exported to other areas of the world.

3 Ships of the Line, 8 Frigates and 15 Sloops were dispatched from the Home Fleet to escort King João IV, Queen Luisa and Prince Catarina to Oslo for the wedding. Prince Teodosio was also coming along so that King João could show that he now had an heir that had come of age since the King was getting old. The voyage went well, without incident, and the fleet arrived at Oslo, where the royal family freshened up and prepared to meet their hosts.

3 Ships of the Line, 8 Frigates and 15 Sloops were dispatched from the Home Fleet to escort King João IV, Queen Luisa and Prince Catarina to Oslo for the wedding. The voyage went well, without incident, and the fleet arrived at Oslo, where the royal family freshened up and prepared to meet their hosts.To meet them came five Ships of the Line, 22 Frigates, and thirty six Sloops came to them and fired their cannons in the wind to show them the standard respect that their nation towards people of respectable birth and of allied status with them. As well, the city of Oslo's glittering white walls shown and the banners of the Nordic Empire flew in the warm southern winds of the Summer.

Further the Imperial escort await them on shore in the brillant white silk clothes and their shining steel plate mail that was the remanent of their knightly orgins.

A letter arrived at the palace of Emperor Godfrey, unopenec even though it was passed by over fifteen riders. The letter said this:

The Glorious Nation of Tibet, which was previously closed to the outside world, is now curious of the other nations in the world. However, to preserve the Tibetan culture and ways of life, the following will be created.
*A foreign zone will be created in the city of Lhasa specifically for the foreign peoples to be entering.
*The foreign zone will measure 1 li by 2 li ( .5 kilometre by 1 kilometre).
*All foreign business will be held in the foreign zone.
*All foreigners will not be able to leave the foreign zone under penalty of death. However, Tibetans may enter and leave the foreign zone as they please.
*All foreign peoples entering Tibet are in transit. They will not be able to leave their respective vehicles under penalty of death.
*In order for the Tibetan people to gain access to foreign knowledge, foreigners are asked to create schools to educate the Tibetan people.

The Fleet returned to the salute and the Ship of the Line carrying the Royal Family pulled up along the quay to disembark them, whereupon they prepared to follow their escort to meet the Nordic Royal Family.

In light of the recent events that have taken place in West Africa, I, Sofia Alexeevna, propose a treaty be signed between all modern nations with possesions on the African continent where slaves are traded. This treaty would make it illegal for any slave to bare or own arms. Furthermore, regulations would be set in place so that slaves would be kept under tighter leash and would ensure no armories would be constructed within 70 miles of the nearest slave operated plantation or slave market. This is to ensure an incident like the one that occured in West Africa recently would never be repeated. These precautions will tighten security in Africa so foriegn powers may operate freely there for years to come. I hope Russia has the support of the rest of the modern, colonial world in this descion.

As Dmitri Alexeevich, son of the current Russian tsar, approached the Nordic city of Oslo, on a mission of goodwill. He muttered under his breathe, "And I thought Moscow was cold..." He starred up at the massive palace, home to Emperor Godfrey and the royal family. It was an impressive sight. He hoped his somewhat unexpected visit would be well greated by Norse ruler. But new neighbors must be aquainted. He considered himself the welcome wagon. Except he wasn't lending a cup of sugar to his neighbor, his wagon held fifteen slaves who had been chosen by the tsar himself to be given as a gift to Godfrey. Also crammed into the wagon were ninety pelts of the finest Russian furs. Two more wagons bumbled along the cobble stones behind them, these carried nearly one hundred and fifty bails of steppe wheat. The young prince knew the fur industry in the Nordic Kingdoms was strong and that Godfrey already had slaves being imported from his African colonies, he suspected his last gift would be the best recieved as Scandanvia's mountains and cold seasons did not lend themselves to wheat harvesting. A guard approached the prince and his own guards.
"What is your business with the emperor?" He asked hostily as he looked the prince up and down, almost snickering at his unusual attire. He held his laughter back under the suspicion the young man, accompanied by so many guards and luxaries, was some sort of digintary of noble descent.
"I am Dmitri Alexeevich, son of the exhaulted Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, the ruler of Russia, the Urals, the Morroccan Slave Kingdoms, and the Kingdom of Quebec. I come bearing gifts for the emperor, I am here to on a goodwill visit and to discuss matters of state and business. Will he see us?

"It's quite alright, I didn't mind the wait at all. I have three carts of gifts waiting in the courtyard for you. Additionally I have much business to discuss here today." They entered a large furnitured room with a roaring fire and a large tapestry on the north wall. "Firstly, with your permission, I would like to convert my nation to your currency, the krona. Secondly, I would like to propose a marriage between our two families, to unite us, the two most powerful nations of northern Europe."

IC: The throne was shining full of white marble which was accented by a number of red lights that shone from vents that brought in the heat, abeit with a little smoke which could not be entirely blown away before it entered the room from the giant furnaces below the palace which provided heat for the main rooms and bedrooms. Then the man sitting on a throne of shining gold said," To these terms you state I agree, though to protect the value of my nation's own currency I wish to ask do you plan to mint the Kronas in your own mints or we you allow my nation to mint all the currency? As for the marriage what do you wish to provide a daugther of your family to mine or do you desire for one of my own daughters to marry one of your kin or yourself?"
