I got this simple idea for a RP that can become pretty good if done right. The basic idea is we got a planet decimated from war for years as part of some galactic conflict. The planet is torn by factional conflicts over the planets five continents and the cities are abandoned, whats left of the civilian population has been pushed into refugee camps scattered around the planet. Now after years of fighting there is a peace summit on another planet far away and peace happens. However before word can reach this planet one of the factions accidently destroys the communications array on the planets moon. Meaning no one knew about the announcement of a casefire and that the war was over. So now cut off from there chain of command the many factions continue to battle for control of the planet, but now the civilian population begins to orginize a resistence to push the factions off the planet so they can rule them selves. At the start the civilian groups will still be underground while the faction continue to fight eachother.

The 5 continents are

Trion:
Spit Break- Civilian resistance (Twilight Eagles)
Naasha- Faction (Red Sabre)

Decemocni:
Rastorian Syndicate- Civilian Resistance (The Organization)

Grategni:

Lifnite:
Wabbitlings-civilian resistance(global liberation army)

Junyoka:
Wanderjar - Civilian Resistance (Socialist Union of Junyoka)


If you want to sign up please say whether your a faction or a civilian resistance. Also please name your group/civilian resistance cell when you sign up and say which continent you want to be on that way we know whos fighting who.

This is just combat planet side, no space, no super weapons, feel free to use what tech you see fit and do what you want make alliances with other factions, civilian groups if it gets you to your goals why not do it?

I'd be interested in roleplaying as one of the military factions, perhaps the one that destroyed the communications array. Did you have anything in mind for these factions such as affiliation, aims, manpower and so on?

Basicly all the factions have different goals, political, economic, strategic. This is a large war so its going to alot of man power i'd say probably thousands if not tens of thousands.

I would like to command a faction on the continent of Trion then.

The Red Sabre faction is a large and dominant power on the continent, the dictatorial leadership of the faction keep an iron grip on those living within its territories, quashing signs of rebellion wherever they can find them. The Red Sabre uses propaganda and tight border regulations to help reinforce its citizens belief in its own strength and superiority, occasionally hinting at mysterious enemies at the gates in order to draw new recruits into the armed forces.

The faction commands complete obediance from its subjects, assigning them work in agriculture, essential manufacturing and services while pressing the fit and healthy young men into military service. The more talented members of society will be assigned to more prestigous roles in (limited) arms research and manufacturing or administrative roles within the party itself.

The leadership, a council of three men and one women, are painfully aware that war, or at least an enemy is needed in order to maintain the stability of the faction by consuming all available resources and thus slowing development to a crawl. In order to achieve this end, the armed forces of the Red Sabre are often sent to roam across the continent, or even to other continents, in search of new lands and resources to claim and new rivals to squabble with.

A secondary objective of the Red Sabre is the acquisition of the required launch codes for a pair of nuclear missile silos which are located in their territory. These may have been lost to the ages or they may be in the possession of another group but they would give the faction a considerable leverage when dealing with others.

oh forgot to mention if your a faction just for a layer of detail you might want to rp the higher ups of your faction trying to get back in contact with your people on the ground to tell you that peace was declared

If it is okay with you then I think my faction may have been the one to destroy the communications array. The regional leaders perhaps deciding that it would be more beneficial to them if the war went on.

or perhaps your faction is native to this planets and your cutting off commmunications for the other factions to give you a advantage?

ok so we are looking at a few hundred thousand civilians left around the world. Around probably 700 thouasand or so scattered around the many camps across the planet, then we got the military factions which probably have hundreds of thousands of troops maybe almost a million.

ya i was actually given admin power at UII but its dead..............any ways wonder what kind of tech i should uses, ill start with a incurgency of course but work my way up to heavier weapons

well not much information i can post since im a resistance group but basicly it originates in a small northern refugee camp in the mountains. The camp has a population of about 60 people. There are 4 other camps around this camp so they trade between each other for supplies. The camp my people are at is called rogana camp after the river the camp is on the bank of. The river gives the camp water they can trade to other camps for food and medical supplies, as in the underground weapons, and supplies and building materials. The camp only has a few trucks which are used to move around supplies and trading goods. The camps main trading partneer is the Antiga camp to the north which has a small mine which they use to mine various metals which a camp to the west then refines and sends back for a cost. It creates a small economy which the 5 camps use to survives. The leader of the camp is a man named Kira Yamato he talks with the people find out what they need and then he and others try and get that stuff for them.

I am thinking people think sign up is over, but its still open and we still need more factions atleast 1 for each continent
