To Chancellor Daniel M. Barron,

The Socialist Republic of Honakon is highly interested in developing relations between our two countries. As both members of the European Continent, and holding the two largest navies in terms of naval tonnage in the continent, plus gloriously growing economies, we feel a friendship would be beneficial for our two nations. Firstly, we would like to offer the exchange of embassies and a possible trading deal of natural resources and produced goods at lower tariffs.

Commissioner Vega,

It is excellent to hear from another naval power in the region. Naval superiority in today's world counts for everything, as we shall see. Together, our nations can be truely successful.

It would be our pleasure to set aside a plot in London for an Embassy, and we should like to establish one in Pereziston

In order to further discuss the terms of a trade agreement, we would like to suggest a small conference between trade leaders of our nations - nothing large or extravagant, simply time to discuss tariffs, resources that are available, and other related matter.

Yours sincerely,

Rt Hon Camille Lafayet

To: The United Commonwealth of Anglo-Belgian Barronia

Request for diplomatic contact

The Indian Union has decided to increase our international contacts, as they are more and more important to us. Although there are miles and miles of water and land between our nations, I'm sure that we're having many things in common.
We ask you if you would like to establish diplomatic connections with India and build an embassy in Mumbai? We would also like to establish an Indian embassy in your capital.

We are also looking forward at a new era where the trade between our nations prospers.

To The Rt Hon Camille Lafayet,

After review we have decided to accept your offer of a short conference in London, if you would not mind hosting it. Due to the practices of our nation, which may seem somewhat strange to outsiders, the High Commissionar is deemed too Holy to leave the Honakon lands unless it is an emergency. And with me shortly leaving to a Med Union conference, I will send Jeronimo Reyes. Although he is Commissionar for Internal Affairs, when alliances or important agreements are to be discussed, one of the "Big Four" in the government must be present. He looks forward to meeting with your Leaders.

As for the embassies, you are free to move in. We will send a group of diplomats to the one in London as well.

Diplomatic Request from Kansiov

Kansiov would like to have an embassy exchange between London and Kiev. We would also hope that your well beloved leader would also encourage business, administered from London. Your schools will be pressed to do 'learn English ' programme as to shorten the language barrier between two Nations. For a contract of $1.7 billion USD, we want the Royal Bank of Scotland to invest here in Kansiov, as it would benfit them and us greatly as we are expecting an economic explosion when the factories from the east settles here and we need to preapre ourselves for that.

We would be pleased to invest in your nation at this time - your predicted economic growth will no doubt prove profitable for both of us. Having been contacted by the Barronian International Affairs Office regarding your situation, we would be pleased to allow you a preview of the 2 ships that are soon to be decommissioned from service with us.

The Adonia, a 77,000 ton cruiseliner, built in 1998. Owing to better technology and costly upgrades, she is soon to be withdrawn and scrapped. Able to cater for 1,950 passengers with 900 crew, she has 14 decks. At a cost of $35,500,000.

The Victoria, at 28,891 tons, is a relatively small cruise liner, capable of 21 knots maximum cruising speed. With 8 passenger decks catering for 790 passengers with 471 crew, she is still in excellent condition. Available for $25,000,000.

The Adonia, a 77,000 ton cruiseliner, built in 1998. Owing to better technology and costly upgrades, she is soon to be withdrawn and scrapped. Able to cater for 1,950 passengers with 900 crew, she has 14 decks. At a cost of $150,000,000.

The Victoria, at 28,891 tons, is a relatively small cruise liner, capable of 21 knots maximum cruising speed. With 8 passenger decks catering for 790 passengers with 471 crew, she is still in excellent condition. Available for $100,000.

OOC: Is that second one a typo or are you actually offering it to me for $100,000? Also, with the first one, $150 million is a bit much. To put it into perspective, the QE2 only cost just over 29 million pounds, and her tonnage was only 7,000 less.

OOC: Apologies, that is a typo. And it appears my source has failed me. Give me a minute, and I'll edit to what I thought it should be in the first place. Remember, £1 = $2, so expect it to be a little over $35 million.

EDIT: Edited.

To whom it may concern at P&O Cruises;

We will purchase the Victoria from you directly. Please let us know if you need us to send a skeleton crew over to bring her back or if you plan on doing it yourself. Also, please tell us which account you wish the $25 million wired to.

As for the Adonia, we wish to ask what technology and upgrade she needs to be brought up to standing world standards. After we know that information, we will make our decision if we wish to purchase her or not.

Sincerely,
Hannah Folsom

Excellent. We will be more than happy to provide a crew to sail her to you, all we require is a port.

As for the Adonia, her main refits are cabin conditions, both passengers and crew - redecoration, etc. is a must. Her GPS systems both interface and hardwar/software are currently outdated. Engine and control, unfortunately, was the main technological aspect that had begun falling behind. Controls for engine thrust, gear, etc. are currently way behind world standards. Her engines, also, are beginning to show signs of excessive wear and tear, and will soon need to be replaced for more efficient systems.

We do, however receive discounts from Barronian shipyards as a national carrier for refits and repairs, and with foreign investment, we should be able to bring this ship up to scratch within the year.

Should you decide to accept this offer, a further $3,500,000 will be required to cover materials and shipping, which includes the discount available to us, bringing her total cost to $29,000,000.

With the refits and repairs you listed, we will be more than happy to wire the $29,000,000 to you now for the expected delivery of the ship within a year to our port at Bastanis.

The Victoria can be delivered to Bastanis as well at your earliest convenience.

It has been a pleasure doing business with you and we thank you for your help and services in getting Federation Cruise Lines off the ground. Should you ever wish to take a vacation in the Carribbean, please, let us know and we will arrange it.

We are pleasured with aiding you.

We currently have a further business deal to offer you, if you will accept it:

Our Caribbean operations are currently suffering from a lack of trade, and we are considering removing our services there. We would therefore like to operate in tandem with yourselves for Caribbean operations - P&O ships would arrive in a destination in the Caribbean, passengers would transfer to a Federation cruise liner, and would continue their tour.

This would, naturally, allow us savings for being able to provide ships in other sectors, and provide you with further income from our trade.

We await your opinion.

This sounds most agreeable to us. As soon as both ships are up and running, we will be happy to work in tandem with P&O Cruises.

At the moment, ports of call on your side of the Canal would be Bastasin and Xerwu. Our government is currently in the process of trying to get some of the other Carribbean Islands to join our Federation, to increase our viability as a tourist attraction. We shall inform you of any changes.

Whilst the government would no doubt be unimpressed by expansionism, we look forward to working with you.

It is not backed up by military threats. The choice is theirs. A decision to join would be economically beneficial to both nations, while the opposing decision would be the opposite.

Diplomatic Comunique
Greetings to you; Most Glorious nation; we would like to pursue the possibility of financing the construction of an Ocean Class Assault Ship for our navy in the next fiscal year since Barronia ship building is pretty much legendary throughout history it has also come to our attention that the Barronia Navy may in future be scrapping its Type 42 Sheffield class Destroyers in exchange for the Type 44 Daring Class. We would be interested in buying the Type 42's off your hands once the Daring Class has reached sufficant numbers in your navy for us to do so. We are also interested in perhaps purchasing a number of Eurofighters if you could give us a price per unit for each of our requests we can calculate how much of our budget can be alloted to this deal

We would also like to open diplomatic ties with an exchange of Embasies

Kind Regards

We would be most pleased with an exchange of embassies.

We are pleased at the research you have committed on the Barronian Naval Service, and we would be most accepting of an offer to finance the construction of an Ocean Class Assault ship. Harland and Wolff, world-reknowned shipbuilders in Northern Ireland, will be contacted. A 5% surcharge will cover training of your crews to use the ship, and all her facilities.

We will most certainly consider your offer for the Type 42, and will relay to you when a suitable time has arrived for these glorious, hardworking ships to change hands.

Our second-hand Eurofighters currently retail at $38 million per, or new aircraft at $55 million per. Two-seat trainers, the ET1, are available at $60 million per.

Yours,

Camille Lafayette
Internation Affairs Secretary

We would like to enquire as to the cost of the Ocean Class purely for our own financial reasons so that money can be pre-allotted for this project and construction can begin as soon as the new year and the new budget comes in. As for the Euro fighters we find this offer very acceptable and would like to order 90 Eurofighter Typhoon's for $38 Million a piece and 10 ETI Trainers for $60 Million a Piece.

We understand you probably don't have 90 Euro-fighters on hand; so we will take however many you do have for the $38 million Price and pay for the rest as new for the $55 Million apiece price. We will likely order more in the new Fiscal year though the Navy is scheduled for the major portion of the defence budget in 2009. We are also interested in purchasing up to 500 Storm shadow Cruise Missiles
