I don't know how many people are familiar with Fall of America. It was a rp I did under my old nation. It was a wide success but spiraled out of control and out of my hands. So, I am going to try and start it up again. If you're interested, sign-up and/or discuss on how we can make this rp better.
*Alternate History*
After the terrorist attacks upon the US on 9/11, the world changed forever. The US began its' global war on terrorism, beginning in Afghanistan and spreading to Iraq in 2003. Militant Islam spread as well, thousands flocked towards the side of extremism as the brutal war raged on. Abroad, America's image faltered and fell from the once great democracy to what many viewed as an empire. The Iraq war dragged on for years, draining money and man power into the campaign. At home, the administration crumbled from within as did the country. In Congress, a bill passed into law which outlawed illegal immigrants and so began the forced deportation of thousands of the estimated 12 million illegals in the nation. Rival groups on the subject were at each other's throats. At the same time, an economic slump turned into a depression unseen since the 1930's. Crime and unemployment rose to new levels as the police struggled to keep order. In 2008, Israel invaded the Palestinian territories in the wake of Hamas's takeover. Several months later, Israel invades Lebanon in another attempt to dislodge Hezbollah fighters.
The Middle East became a powder keg which quickly ignited. Syria and Egypt in turn invaded Israel and a brutal war began. Feeling the need to protect an ally, the US withdrew troops to fight this new war. Iran, sensing weakness in Iraq after years of bloodbath, launches a full scale invasion of Iraq but is halted by American and coalition forces. The world is on the edge of a global conflict. To bring an end to the war with Iran, America launches a nuclear strike on Tehran, millions die. An international outcry ensues and the UN turns against America as embargos from other nations begin to take their toll on the US. China, seeks economic venues with Russia and other nations, diverting away from the States. The nation is tearing itself apart as the world turns against this once great nation. The EU becomes the leading bloc in the UN and NATO is dissolved, leaving the US nearly ally-less. Terrorist groups around the globe, emboldened, attack the United States in one last blow against the "Evil Empire" and wipe out the capital in a dirty bomb strike. Leaderless, the millions of Americans are left to fend for themselves as forces from outside begin to move in...
OOC: This is a very complex situation. Last time I did this, several people went off on me for being "unrealistic" and "unpatriotic". This is just for fun, don't take my ramblings seriously, this is just an alternate history rp. The year is now 2015 and the world is a very different place. China and Russia are the two new superpowers but are beginning to suffer a bit of a cold war. The next psudo war in in America where the nation has crumbled. Remnants of the federal goverment are struggling to hold the nation together as outside forces take this opportunity to seize America and its' valuable natual resources. Every great empire falls, America is no exception.
