Ares II
In 1995 the final model Ares II rifle was released and outmoded the old Ares-AR. The Ares II model is capable of fully automated fire unlike its predecessor thanks to advances in plastics making and firing mechanisms but is still capable of underwater operation. Some of the other advances of the Ares II include the use of a 40 round double clip and improved range. The Ares II is also compatible with the M203 grenade launcher and other standard accessories found on today's battlefields (scopes, laser sights, bipods, etc.).

Ares III
Brand new for 2007 the Ares III is truly worthy of its namesake. Its new molded fiberglass, aluminum, and carbon fiber construction makes it extremely lightweight and still durable. The Ares III is compatible with all standard accessories and features even greater range, cyclic rate, and muzzle velocity to give it a place on the 21st century battlefield. A new gas emissions system allows for superior recoil adjustment in burst and full auto modes so that the soldier is not forced to compensate further for the weapons light weight. As could the weapons ancestors the Ares III is capable of underwater firing.

Ares Elite AR Carbine
Based off the Ares II design, the Ares Elite AR Carbine iwas standard issue for the Kingdom of SaintB's Spec. Ops. teams for several years. The Elite comes standard with top mounted 3x zoom scope and integral sound and flash suppressor. The elite features an innovative launcher for LTL (Less than Lethal) munitions when killng is to be avoided, the launcher is capable of handling air foil and taser rounds and is detachable for use an m-203 grenade launcher. The weapon is also equipped with a retracting butt-stock to help reduce recoil during automatic fire and is able to accept the following accessories; bi-pod or tri-pod and side or undermounted laser sights.

Minotaur Micro MG
This near pistol sized sub-machine gun is popular for close quarters combat, especially useful in close confines such as apartment buildings or hotels; the Minotaur has carved out a niche in SaintB’s security forces for those kinds of situations and also sees use in the military but on a more limited scale. The Minotaur comes standard with an ACOG Aim Point Reflex Site top mounted but it can be removed for the use of iron sites or other attachments.

Medusa SMG
Named for the creature Medusa who legends claim was so ugly that she and her sisters could turn a man into stone. The Medusa SMG is indeed an ugly weapon, add in the factor of its lethality and it is not hard to figure out how this weapon earned its name. The Medusa is the most used SMG by SaintB’s armed forces because of its rugged reliability and toughness; it comes with integral folding/unfolding stock and built in laser pointer for more precise aiming in a firefight, the weapon can be disassembled to replace burnt out or damaged pointers.

Achilles Assault Shotgun
The Achilles Assault Shotgun is a 12 gauge semi automatic shotgun capable of burst fire designed as a combination combat and riot control weapon. This weapon is popular with the men and women in SaintB's special forces and Law Enforcement professionals. Its blackened steel and rubber construction is both very rugged and durable and is designed to fit top mounted accessories. The Achilles can fire standard flechette, lead slugs, EX rounds, and non-lethal rubber balls and beanbags. The model comes standard with an under slung storage rack capable of holding up to 8 rounds of proper size. Its moderate weight provides the necessary recoil adjustment for burst fire.

Argonaut .357
Developed by SaintB's previous regime while attempting to harness the power of the .357 revolver in a semi-automatic weapon. Though on the heavy side the Argonaut packs a strong punch especially at close range that is rarely seen in a handgun. The weapon is dual action and semi automatic but rapid shots in succession higher than two tend to be extremely inaccurate at medium and higher ranges.

Heracles SAW
The Heracles SAW is the accepted Squad Automatic weapon of The Kingdom of SaintB. It is a heavy but well-balanced mobile light machine gun that is easily carried by a single gunner. The primary function of the weapon is to provide cover fire for advancing or retreating units in a firefight or to slow advancing enemy infantry with heavy suppressive fire. Like many SAWs the Heracles is inaccurate from a standing fire position and so it is recommended to fire from a prone or crouching position or in an area where the weapon’s built in bi-pod can be utilized. The Heracles is capable of attaching the 120 round ammo drum from the Ares II or III but typically mounts its own 250 round box cartridge or 500 round ammo belt.

HMG – 12 “Amazon”
The HMG - 12 is a new .50 caliber machine gun design from SaintB Integrated Infantry systems and chambered for the Browning’s BMG 12.17 mm round. Like many of our weapons this gun is capable of fulfilling various combat roles from infantry fire support to anti light vehicle and virtually everything in between. The HMG - 12 Amazon is built with the quality expected from all of SaintB Integrated’s weapons and has a unique feature that is sure to make it one of the most lethal machine guns on the battlefield, the HMG - 12 can simultaneously hold two ammunition belts at once that can be selected by the flip of a switch! On the battlefield this means one of two things, either the gunner can lay down a pattern of continuous fire for twice as long as usual almost without pause or with the flip of a switch change from standard ammunition to APDS to attack a vehicle and then right back with no time wasted on a reload.

Grenades

Anti-Vehicle Grenade
Available only as a micro grenade to be fired from a grenade launcher, anti-vehicle grenades are designed to penetrate vehicle armor instead of engaging living targets. Their blast area is small, but they have HEAT charges similar to the ones used in AV rockets. While not likely to be greatly effective against most main battle tanks this weapon is suitable for lighter armored attack helicopters, infantry transports, IFV’s, light tanks, and similar combat vehicles with a direct hit. The AV Grenade gives basic infantry a fighting chance even in the absence of rocket-equipped troops.

Scatter Grenade
Instead of a single detonation, a scatter grenade springs open and tosses 4 charges into the surrounding area, which detonate on impact within a 2 to 4 meter radius around the original target area, confounding enemy forces and causing general chaos. Scatter grenades are currently available in high explosive, fragmentation, and smoke charges and come available in both hand thrown and launcher versions.

Micro Shotgun Grenades
Micro Shotgun Grenades are specially built fragmentation grenades that can be fired out of a 12 Gauge shotgun at enemies up t a range of 40 meters. When the Micro Grenade’s shell is expended the weapon arms and will explode on impact with any surface that provides sufficient resistance such as a human body… caution is advised while firing as the explosive radius of ~2 meters may catch the firer in the explosion. They currently come in fragmentation only.

Fuel Air Explosive Charge
FAE Charges are easily portable disc shaped charges about the size of a hockey puck filled with an extremely flammable mixture of gasses known as Fuel Air Explosive. When armed by depressing a button located on the top 3 times there is a 5 to 10 second delay (this can be set by a toggle slider) during which the device can be deactivated, after this delay the Fuel Air Explosive is allowed to escape by being vented out into the air around it for three seconds after which an electric spark ignites the gas causing a very lethal and destructive incendiary explosion in a large radius. The FAE comes in an adhesive and non-adhesive variant and can be thrown.

Ammunition

Ammo Types
Duplex Ammo (Available only through SaintB Infantry Systems)
Fitting two rounds into one cartridge case, duplex ammunition gives you a higher chance of hitting simply by putting more rounds into the air! Add that to the chance of both rounds striking the target, you also have the potential of doing greater damage! Duplex ammo falls faster than normal ammo meaning that to hit targets at long or extreme range the marksman must compensate by aiming higher, but at shorter ranges the likelihood of a hit increases dramatically at the cost of a slight decrease of about ~15% maximum range and ~10% velocity. Duplex ammo is only available for rifle sized munitions.

Hollow Point Ammo
Hollow point ammunition is designed with a hollow head that cracks and spalls on impact. When a round ‘spalls’ it shatters into hundreds or thousands of small pieces that continue to travel through the target causing more severe wounds to fleshy targets. Most effective against unarmored subjects.

Soft Point Ammo
Soft point rounds use a soft lead head that flattens or ‘mushrooms’ on impact, causing greater damage over a larger area on the subject. Soft point rounds are more dangerous to remove from a victim than normal rounds because of the shape they take lodged inside a body may cause further trauma if not removed carefully.

APDS (Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot) Rounds
APDS rounds are specially designed to travel at high velocities and pierce body armor. More commonly known simply as armor piercing rounds this name is a misnomer because they are ineffective against hard armor found on vehicles but will pierce virtually any form of human body armor.

Flechette Rounds
Flechette Rounds are designed for shotguns and similar weapons. A flechette round fires a group of tightly packed metal splinters into a cone shaped area similar to the pattern of standard shotgun ammo. The flechette rounds are devastating against unarmored targets and will cut through Kevlar and similar body armors with ease, these rounds have been referred to as armor piercing buckshot.

5.56 NATO M855 Ammo
Long the standard ammo for western assault weaponry the 5.56 mm round is about .28 caliber and capable or traveling at high velocity over a long distance. The 5.56 M855 was the favorite round of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization for almost half a century. The 5.56 is not as effective being fired through heavy objects like walls or trees as the 7.62 round preferred by many assault rifle manufacturers the 5.56 boasts greater range, higher velocity, and overall better effect against soft targets and body armor.

Tracers contain phosphorous which ignites when fired and makes it easier to track exactly where a gunner is firing in autofire.

9 mm Ammo
9 mm ammo is about .45 caliber, heavy, powerful, and packing tremendous stopping power. 9 mm is the standard in pistols and sub machineguns the world over. While the range on a 9 mm bullet is limited it is most often used in smaller, less accurate weapons and packs enough power to more than make up for it.

.357 Magnum Power Ammo
.357 ammo is about 7.14 mm sized. Magnum power ammunition is more powerful than standard ammunition of comparable size. Special

PC-1340
The PC-1340 was designed for special operations use and went through extensive testing by the Kingdom of SaintB’s Golden Lions in both simulated and actual combat trials. This 5.3-kilogram device is about the same area with twice the thickness of a lap top computer, ballistics shielded, EMP resistant, and has a battery life of 2 weeks at normal usage. Essentially, the PC-1340 is a mobile satellite operations suite capable of long-range transmissions, GPS tracking and navigation, and can uplink with combat satellites, as well as perform basic computing functions. In simulated trials a PC-1340 was used to infiltrate a ‘non-friendly’ satellite network and while it was eventually detected was not traced. The PC-1340 uses a burst transmission system wherein all data is sent in one single burst to a host satellite and then transmitted to its destination in a similar fashion; a delay of 3 to 5 seconds is expected in the worst conditions. The 1340 can also communicate via wireless networks for a quicker but far less secure means. The device is easily man-portable by a single individual via a shoulder strap or can be carried in a backpack; the battery is rechargeable and weighs about .29 kilogram.

Scout Vehicles

SV-4 Panther Car
The SV-4 Panther car is an infantry scout vehicle ideal for quick recon in most terrain types. It uses a high strength independent off road suspension and has an all wheel drive option for the most difficult terrain; it is extremely light weight and can easily be righted by its crew in the event of a rollover; if the Panther Car can fit it can navigate the terrain. The SV-4 is used for ground patrols and scouting in hostile or friendly territory. The Panther Car has three weapon points located behind the driver seat. ((OOC: I'm still doing some research into .50 caliber rifles, seems I may have to make a new fireing system since the best range I have found on one of them is just short of 2 miles. I might make a higher caliber too.))

Our only difficulty is the current firing mechanisms existant in most .50 caliber rifles arenot sufficient to reach a range of 5 miles. We are working on new mechanisms and powder formulas to reach this lofty goal of 5 miles. We have a completed concept design if you would like to see a diagram. Every 10 years, the Alfegos government re-evaluates a weapon design: this year, it is the standard infantry assault rifle. The rifle was designed to replace the AF - 97, which had poor endurance in the field.

SaintB Integrated Infantry Systems

Faced with rising tensions with our northern neighbour, South Fehnmar seeks to update our fairly modestly equipped infantry.

As part of the upgrade program, we recently purchased large numbers of the Lyran LY219 Ironheart APC/IFV series, and a number of other Lyran products. Lyras itself, so far our largest arms supplier, is unable to sell us small arms, as it uses the Asgarnian AR44 series for which it has only domestic production rights, not unrestricted (ie, exportable) production rights.

Lyras CAN, however, provide us with ammunition, namely the 6.5 x 42mm frangible that it uses for the AR44. But that still leaves us without a weapon.

Can the Ares III be re-chambered for 6.5 x 42mm?

Can the Hades be re-chambered for 14.7 x 115mm, in line with the ammunition used for the LY60 HMG?

Our Assault Rifles Department has drafted plans for a weapon capable of using the 6.5 grendal and the 6.5 fangible, but this still... does not provide you with a weapon. You will however be pleased to hear that we can rechamber the Ares III for a 6.5 x 45 mm round with very little work in quantity if needed for an extra fee (to cover the cost of machinery) and keep very similer performance ratings.
The Hades is a 15 mm weapon that uses specially designed ammunition to reach its maximum ranges of about 3,000 meters and we are sorry to report we could not rechamber the weapon without first creating a whole new ammunition type but we can sell you the specialised ammunition that goes with the Hades if you desire.
