Terror attacks ravage Vetaka

Terrorist assaults assailed the nation of Vetaka today, killing dozens.

The first of the terrorist bombings occurred outside of the Samuel Embassy Complex. Fortunately, none were killed, but Highway 001 was shut down to all civilian traffic.

An empty bus had been hijacked from a local bus depot, and several pounds of pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN) explosives were loaded on to the double-decker. The driver of the bus has yet to be discovered.

Soaked in blood

Fifteen minutes later, a bomb planted in an airliner-fuel truck exploded in New Theeb airport, incinerating ten.

As soon as the sound of that explosion faded, three more bombs detonated next to a crowded Virgin Victoria terminal, the Londinian airline, killing twenty two and wounding twelve.

A Londinian cleric, who had been trying to broker a truce, was wounded in the leg in a separate incident.

"It was terrible," recounted Rafael Abascal, who was maimed by shrapnel in the explosions. "All around me, there was death...the woman who had been checking my luggage - her severed arm flew into my face...the whole room was soaked with blood."

Concurrently, an Aervia Londii A380 passenger jet crashed into the suburb of Fenton, plowing through a number of homes. An unknown number were killed, but independent estimates place the number at several hundred.

'Tis a flesh wound

Also, Vice President Katrina Fielding was shot twice in the shoulder by a masked gunman whilst watching a football game. Despite being rushed to a hospital, she is not believed to have suffered anything more than a flesh wound.

The Vetakan government has yet to release any statement regarding this string of attacks, though Police Commissioner James Mackensie stated that "a major incident has taken place", though what he meant by this comment is unknown. In the meantime, the country has been placed on a 'level one' security alert, with the capital and national airspace been restricted to only government and military traffic.

Classified Location, Somewhere in Vetakan Rogers Mountain Range, 2 Hour after the attack:

Deep within the beautiful Rogers Mountain Range lay OBSAT Space and Defence Command an impregnable fortress that officially didn't exsist. The most secure and classified facility within Vetaka. It was here that all of Vetakan Air Defence was commanded the NORAD of Vetaka the base also formed the location of the Security Protocal for the President during times of security situations such as a terror attack. Via OBSAT the base was linked to every other base within the Vetakan Defence Force as well as every Embassy around the world. Deep within the bunkers of this base lay the Command Room where President Scarlet Rogers sat looking at the live coverage of both Vetaka Today and LBG News. The constant stream of death and destruction was unsettling at best a single tear streamed her face she wiped it away before speaking:

"Any Evidence as to whom carried it out?"

A man in a perfectly pressed Military Uniform cleared his throat he was Supreme Operational Commander Jonathon Stone highest ranking officer of the Military and directly below the President in times of Crisis:

"No, come on Scarlet it could be anybody our Policies are universally hated around the world. We have made alot of Enemys. It could be the Capitalists or the Communist Fanatics. The Capitalists hate us for being to close to the "Red Menace, The Socialists hate us for being to close to the Imperial Capitalists. Then we can not forget about Strator, the Nicks, the Clandonians, TFS, the Undead Falcons, Swans People. Lets face it this was bound to happen."

A second tear ran down Scarlets Cheek:

"Casualties?"

Stones tone took on a more quieter one:

"32 Confirmed dead but the Airbus Incident we are still confirming we are expecting at least 200 dead. We have a confirmation of 20 Injuryed. We have gone to Level 1 Security Alert. As well as shut down the Air Space Fighters have begun patrols. Orders?"

Scarlets reply was simple:

"I must talk to the nation. Save as many as you can. Find who did this Stone and Kill Them."

He saluted and replied:

"Yes Madam President"

With that she rose from her seat and left the Command Room flanked by her Razgrix bodyguards she swept down the corridoor and into her Personal Office to draft a speech for her coming Presidential Address.

Coricas, Cookesland, 5 Hours after the attack

3:09 AM Cookesland time

"Sir, there's been a terrorist attack on the nation of Vetaka the Secretary of State says it's one of the worst ones he's ever seen or heard about."

The President had a lot on his mind at that moment there was a new bill at vote in the Senate that he was worried about and he had his re-election campaign on the horizon, but the Secretary would not have said that comment unless he meant it.

"Turn on CBC and let me see the damage."

the flat screen sparked with life and images of wounded and burning buildings were omnipresent.

"Can you check the story on some of the other major world broadcasting channels, PINA, LGB, PBC, any of them."

He could not believe the damage it was beyond the point of words and he looked at the screen and saw the peoples' tired, hurt, and scared faces.

"My God, do they know who did this?"

"I don't believe so."

"Well find out if they know, i want aid delivered to Vetaka immediatly, and send a message to the President of Vetaka saying we wish to help them in any way possible. I also want hourly updates on the situation."

"Yes, sir."

President Foxswift shifted his vision back to the images on the screen, if that had happened to Cookesland, well he didn't even want to think about it.

War Room, High General's Palace Goldton, Aurum Domus

The High General stood up as his advisers took their seats around the large table that was in the center of the War Room.

"Gentlemen you know why I have called you here today. A horrible terrorist attack has occured in Vetaka, our most loyal ally. Hundreds are feared dead although the official confirmation hasn't come through. We will be issuing an official message of condemnation and condolence shortly. Right now I want you to secure the country. Anyone who attacks Vetaka could just as likely attack us. I want you guys to get to work identifying who perpetrated this attack. The Vetakans are mourning the loss of many and they should be able to do that in peace. That is all."

The Mapmaker sighed as he leaned back in his chair, relaxing. He had just finished the last memorandum and clicked the send button, ending what had been a tiring week. Just on cue, as he clicked the SEND button, his adviser, friend, and delegate to the UN, Woppet, walked in. He looked at the Mapmaker and grinned.
"Hard week, I hear."
"You have no idea, Woppet. That UFCB delegation was here again, lobbying all week for this tax cut and that incentive...ever since the UN passed that darn bill about repealing the right to have unions, they've closed in, saying that if the UN doesn't see fit to preserve them...ah well. There done, at leat for a couple days..."
"UFCB? United...?
"United Federation of Capitalist Businesses. Almost want to make me go Communist..."
"Ah well, a nice weekend and vacation will fix that."

*images of death and destruction fill the screen and the president gasps in horror as he realises this is no friday fright-night special, it's the news. The president takes a deep breath before speaking*

"Mobilise one company of soldiers to provide whatever needed, where possible I would prefer your give humanitarian rather than combative aid"

Fenton Suburb, New Theeb, Seconds after the Airbus Attack:

To say the scene was one of total devastation was a serve understatement the Plane had hit the ground in the Large Fenton Park which had been packed at the time however it had then moved across the park ploughed through a school and through a total of 12 houses before coming to a rest. The School had collapsed and so had the houses. This was not the only problem as the massive Airbus had now burst into flames. Hundreds if not Thousands of people had perished and many more had been injuryed. The Vetakan Emergancy Services where some of the best in the world trained to respond to any situation that could occur they where a credit to the nation swinging into action almost immediately. The sound of Sirens was deafening as Ambulances, Police Cars and Fire Engines desended onto the scene:

"Daniels get that FIRE OUTTTT, Johnson get down there and check that over turned Car......" roared one Fireman.

A Paramedic shouted as he began CPR on a injuryed man:

"I need the Defib over here NOW"

A second Paramedic ran over to him working together they set the machine up before the first Paramedic began:

"Shit he is flat lining"

The Second Paramedic began as he desended over the mans chest with the paddles in his hands:

"Charging Stand Clear"

Bang the Shock was delivered........

"No Change. Come on Mate you can do it" spoke the first Medic.

The Second Medic increased the Voltage before beginning again:

As a result of this helped by two Fireman the injuryed man was rushed into an Ambulance and sped away to New Theeb General Hospital.

Once again we find the great nation of Veteka in need. The Kingdom of SaintB will increase the already considerable aid being sent to Veteka for the survivors of the Princess City incident and extend the use of supplies and personell to all those places attacked, we also would like to extend an offer to aid in the hunt for these terrorist forces within your nation; our special forces The Golden Lions are experienced in anti-terror operations and we can send a detachment at your need to assist in any operations.

It was felt that Vetaka's greatest Press Room should be known as the "Hall of Freedom" after all Free Speech was what Freedom and Democracy where all about. The room was massive it was beautifully decorated with artworks hanging from the walls and ceilings. At the front of this grand room was a small stage, A transparant podium with the words "The Free Dominion of Vetaka" written across it and a massive Vetakan Flag hanging from the wall behind it. To the left and right of the flag where a set Double Doors each flanked by 2 Vetakan Defence Force Troops. Throughout the room where VDF Guards all standing at attention. The room itself was packed with Journalists, Camera Crews and TV Presenters. These terror attacks had reached around the world. After a few minutes the activity died down and the left set of Double Doors opened exiting in one of her trademark Dress Suits the blonde haired beauty of President Scarlet Rogers swopped out into the room flanked all the while by 4 Razgrix Bodyguards she took up a position behind the Podium her bodyguards flanked enough to remain close to her but further enough away so that they where not crowding her. As this happened reporters nervously took notes, Cameras Clicked away and TV Crews began to film beaming President Rogers around the world via such Networks as Vetaka Today and LBG News. She remainded Silent to the point that the room fell silent for a few seconds all that could be heard was the calming sound of fast running water from the nearby Roxanne Falls which was named in honour of Second Vetakan President Roxanne Wright eventually Scarlet broke her silence and began:

"It has always been the policy of successive Vetakan Governments that our nation has never and will never negociate with those whom use acts of Terrorism to achieve their agendas. That Policy stands I, My Government and this nation will not bow down to pressure from Terrorists. At this time we do not know whom carried out these attacks however the hand of Vetakan Security and Intelligence Service is far reaching we will find those whom did this and they will be brought to justice. At this time I am unable to release details regarding the attack due to Security Reasons and ongoing investigations however I can announce the death toll stands at around the 250 mark with it being set to rise as the day progresses. I can confirm that all Air Space is restricted to Military and Government Traffic only for the next 6 hours. Whilst I cannot elaborate further we do have intelligence to suggest a Second Wave of attacks is possible. I can also confirm Vetakan Airspace is now being patrolled by additional Fighters. Further details will be released at a second Press Conference at around 21:00 to be held by Defence Secretary Samuel Fielding.

"Hello this is Micheal Muller, your reporter in the field for KNN! I am standing in front of the Kampfers Stadt International Airport, which has recently been shut down. We are only getting information in small snippets, however, I can assure you that we are doing the best we can to discover the source. Apparantly, there was an attempted hijacking of a Kampferian plane headed towards Vetaka today. It has been speculated that this was done by the ACA, taking advantage of the attacks already done on the communist-friendly state of Vetaka. That's all the information we have as of now, so back to you in the studio."

The screen flashes to the two anchors.

"Well, an interesting story indeed. We will send you back out there whenever we receive new updates. Remeber, at KNN we leave no stone unturned to deliver you the truth! Now, as I was saying... Wait... OK, Fuhrer Richtoff is delivering a statement on this subject now. We will be sending you out there to see him."

The screen switches over to Fuhrer Richtoff as he begins to speak.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of Kampfers, today there was an attempted terrorist plot. Terrorists attempted to hijack Fight 171 to Vetaka today. The pilots, armed as usual, fought of the combatants, killing one, and injuring another. After giving a mayday call, they were escorted back to the airport by 4 F-19 Knights, where they landed. Luckily, no passengers were injured. After the flight landed, all flights leaving Kampfers were grounded. Flights should resume tommorow, and all passengers today will be reimbursed. We have no knowledge of who the terrorists are, but we will be interrogating the living one to the fullest extent possible by law."

'Ladies and , I am standing outside the remains of the Staten building the home of Congress' 'God The Police, Fire Department and Army are everywhere, and we are getting reports of more explosions throughout the Capital' 'These attacks are believed to be linked to both the bombings in Vetaka and the attempted hijacking of an airliner in Kampfers, more on these events as soon as we get it'

A truck speeds through a checkpoint infront of the High General's palace and detonates, killing all at the checkpoint. Moments later in Uber Prodigium rocket propelled grenades are fired at the supercarrier, Unyielding Justice. The ship is badly damaged and 15 sailors are killed. The escaping terrorists are mowed down by a deckgun.


Hello this is Alexis Litan with ADNN, were getting reports of terrorist attacks on the High General's palace and the navy base in Uber Prodigium. Early reports are linking these attacks to the ones earlier today in Vetaka and Kampfers.

The agents had done all they could to stop the attacks but it simply wasn't enough. When the terrorist base had been discovered a firefight ensued and allowed the explosive laden truck to escape. No one had known about the other terrorists in Uber Prodigium.

al-Nakba claims responsibility for terror attacks

The Londinian terror group al-Nakba has claimed responsibility for the slews of bombings in Vetaka, Kampfers, and Aurum Domus.

In a video communiqué released to the press, Sheik Zulfikar al-Babik, the group's reclusive leader, stated that he had personally orchestrated the assault.

"My jihadis are responsible for the deaths of the infidels in those three godless nations," the Sheik said. "And we will not stop until Islam is unanimously embraced by these filthy heathens."

'Cacophony of screams'

As if to prove their point, al-Nakba militants detonated a car bomb on Kensington's (the Londinian capital) Bond street, killing dozens of shoppers and tourists.

One witness described the incident as a "horrific cacophony of screams and explosions".

"I was splattered in bits of brain and bone," the witness recounted. "My daughter was lying down on the sidewalk in front of me. She was torn in half."

The Londinian government responded by mobilizing all military units within the nation, but no statement has been released at this time.

Granatian Airports, Bus Terminals, and Sea-Ports to Increase Security in wake of Terrorist Attacks.

In the wake of many vicious terrorist attacks on four nations that Granate holds in high regard, the Granatian Military and National Police have begun to step up security around the country. Security checkpoints, random searches, and specially trained dogs are now to become the norm indefinately across Granate.

National Police Chairman Gordon Reuhl had this to say. "I feel that if we institute these measures quick enough we may be able to circumvent any probable terrorist attacks on our nation." He said.

Chief Security Advisor the King, Andrea Yoklov explained why the terrorist might attack Granate. "Although we have we have always been open to all person of any creed or religion, some of Granate's laws do not sit well with members of the more fundamentalist sect." She said.

In addition to the heightened security across the Nation. The King has also ordered D11, Division Eleven into action. D11 is Granate's premier anti-terrorism unit and is perfectly suited to fighting them on their terms. Although D11 is only a Brigade in size, it is called Division Eleven in recognition for it's achievments, which include numerour foiled Assasination Attempts and other such actions.

Along with D11 being put into action, the Military is being readied for anything. Professional Soldiers on leave are being called back to the nearest base to receive their orders and be reassigned back to their homebase. Atleast 2 Squadrons of Fighters are ready to launch at any moment from 10 locations across the country. The Royal Granatian Navy is increasing it's constabulary actions on the coasts.

Aurum Domus was in a state of lockdown following the attacks. Casualties weren't as horrible as those in other nations but they were still bad, 15 sailors killed aboard the supercarrier Unyielding Justice and over 50 wounded. The checkpoint attack was even worse. Over 60 Imperial Marines had been blown to bits. The checkpoint usually didn't have such a huge guard but after the first attacks in Vetaka more Marines had been ordered to the post.

When the claim of responsibility came through the Aurum Domus Anti Terrorist Squad was mobilised. They were an elite group controlled by the ADIA and they would do whatever was necessary to find and kill all who hadplanned and perpetrated this attack.


OOC: I got an idea, how bout we combine our forces and do something like Operation Wrath of God, a badass operation that the Israelis did in response to the Black September attacks during the Olympics.

The Empress sat in her chair awaiting the report confrimation. The day before she had gotten word of the terrorist attack on Vetaka. It was obvious that it was one of the various organizations that opposed Imperialism or whatnot, but she wanted to know everything. Her head looked towards the door as the huge oak barriers opened.

"Here it is." Derrick said. He set the confirmation reports on the Empresses desk and sat.

"What are we going to do now?" She asked. It was well known that the Shakal had kept a low profile to avoid unwanted attention from enemies.

"I think its time we stretched our legs, the army needs more practical experience, in Hamilay was the last time they fought." Derrick answered.

"I suppose Mannstein agrees with you then?" She asked.

"Yes." Derrick smiled.

Rodgers walked onto the podium cleared his throat and began to deliver his speech.

'Ladies and gentlemen earlier this morning tragedy struck this proud nation as several terrorist bombs ravaged the capitol. The devices used in the attacks were Commercial Vans filled with Propane gas, Petrochemicals and Semtex explosives. Prelimenary reports place causualties at three and a half thousand with fifteen hundred wounded. Thank you very much.

Major Logan Charles checked his rifle one last time, intelligence sources placed an al-Nakba cell in a nearby apartment block. He turned on his radio 'All teams, check in'.

'All teams move in on my mark' Charles waited until his teams copper was in position before saying 'All teams move in'. Logan shot out the apartment's windows while another blew out the door. The same was done at three others apartments on the same floor. There were loud shouts of 'Down on the ground and put your hands behind your head' and 'Army drop your weapons'.

There were limited exchanges of gunfire between the troops and terrorists but most were captured unharmed. 'All teams report in' Logan ordered 'Clear' was heard several times 'Bring the forensic boys in' Logan shouted into his radio.

As a result she has authorised what she describes as a Brutal Response. Your orders are to deploy and kill these terrorists, Shoot them, Stab them, Blow them up how you do it is not important as long as no innocents die and this doesn't become an international incident" spoke Stone before downing the remains of a Scoth.

Sitting opposite him was a man in a pefectly pressed suit he was known only as "V" he was head of Vetakan Security and Intelligence he replied his voice emotionless:

"Then it is done ill send an Agent. The usual stipulations?" he asked Stone.

"Indeed if they are caught all knowledge will be denied" replied Stone

With that Stone rose from his chair and left the room the man known simply as "V" picked up his secured Office Phone and dialled a number it rang for a while before it finally connected..............

The Milestone Hotel, Kensignton, British Londinium:

Sarah Jane Coxson lay on her very elegant bed in her VIP hotel room on the top floor of the 5 Star Milestone Hotel in the heart of Kensignton. She had arrived late last night flying from the Kampfers Capital of Kampfian Stadt under the pretence of doing some sighting seeing in the beautiful city of Kensignton. In reality she had come to Kensington on business in reality Sarah was an agent of Vetakan Security and Intelligence Service in response to the terror attacks on her nation and the now claim of responsibility by a Londinium Terrorist Group her mission was to lay low in Kensington for a while and maybe carry out a revenge killing on this Terrorist.

She was quite startled when her secured Mobile Phone vibrated and buzzed across the room she answered and spoke:

She listerned and replied simply:

She snapped the phone shut rose to her feet picked up a few things and promptly exited her room.

ADIA Headquarters, Goldton

Agents were busy poring over laptops and other files that had been captured in the raid on the hideout in Goldton. The funerals for the dead had occured earlier in the day. The High General had given a speech vowing to hunt down the terrorists and bring them to justice. The ADIA had been given that responsibility.

A message on the computer detailed a safehouse in the Eastern Mountains, a last resort for the terrorists. As soon as the coordinates were obtained a team sprang into action. Three ADIA helicopters took off and headed for the mountains. Time to take out the trash.

2 Hours Later A new nation was added to the terrorist's list. Two hours after this a report aired on FBC:

"A bomb has gone off in Bal's Casino, the largest in the nation and in the car of Vice President Michael Corleone IV. The bombs both went off at about 1500 hours Learned Hand District time. They are believed to be related to the slew of Al-Nadhka bombings across the Free World..."

Several Miles From Eastern Mountains

The three helicopters drew closer to the hideout in the mountains, a voice came over the radio in each chopper.

"Ok men you know what to do, kill only when necessary. Take as many alive as possible, we need to gather more information on this group."

The helicopters flew right over the hideout and the 30 men rappeled to the roof. A skylight was shotout and plastic explosives were fitted to several satellites on the roof. The agents descended through the skylight and the Senior Agent shouted, "Surrender or prepare for a long painfull death."

The screen flashed bright colors as the words GREEN HAWK WORLD NEWS flashed across the screen. Just as quickly as the words appeared they disappeared leaving a bald, aging man behind a wooden desk on the T.V. screen. He shifted some papers in his hand as he turned to a different camera and the screen changed to the point of view of said camera.

"Good afternoon. I'm John Wellow here in Green Hawk World News, reporting. Hours ago several terrorist attacks took place in different parts of the world, but all held a connection to Vetaka. Here is more information of the attacks with two of our reporters, Trey and Sera," John shifted again facing a new camera, the screen again changes to that camera's point of view.

"Trey? Are you there?" The screen divides in half. On the left showed John in the studio and Trey out somewhere in Green Hawk in a random street. It was snowing in the background and Trey shifted the mike in his hands as he fixed his scarf.

"Yes, just like John said several terrorist attacks around the world happened today. The first being in Vetaka. The family's as well as the rest of Vetaka mourned the deaths of over two-hundred and fifty people. In response the President of Vetaka held several conferences giving several statements. I believe we have one?" The flag of Vetaka flashed on the screen as the speech was played.

"It has always been the policy of successive Vetakan Governments that our nation has never and will never negociate with those whom use acts of Terrorism to achieve their agendas. That Policy stands I, My Government and this nation will not bow down to pressure from Terrorists. We make no excuse Vetakan Foreign Policy is hardly admired whilst we have made many strong and loyal Allies through our various campaigns of Freedom, Peace and Democracy we have also made many enemies from the Imperialist Clandonians to the Fascists of Nickslyania and whom could forget true Evilness of Strator.

Vetaka has been and will continue to be the enemy of those whom believe Oppression, Tyranny and Aggression to be the only thing in this world. Vetaka wil always be the enemy of those whom disregard basic Freedoms and Human Rights. Vetaka will continue its Policies of Encouraging Freedom, Democracy, Peace and Stability in this world and we will not be swayed by Terror Attacks. The Clandonians failed to invade Vetaka in Haven and these Terrorists have failed to destroy our spirit in actual the result could not be more opposite these attacks have only strengthen our reslove to continue to do the right thing in this world.

At this time we do not know whom carried out these attacks however the hand of Vetakan Security and Intelligence Service is far reaching we will find those whom did this and they will be brought to justice. At this time I am unable to release details regarding the attack due to Security Reasons and ongoing investigations however I can announce the death toll stands at around the 250 mark with it being set to rise as the day progresses. I can confirm that all Air Space is restricted to Military and Government Traffic only for the next 6 hours. Whilst I cannot elaborate further we do have intelligence to suggest a Second Wave of attacks is possible. I can also confirm Vetakan Airspace is now being patrolled by additional Fighters. Further details will be released at a second Press Conference at around 21:00 to be held by Defence Secretary Samuel Fielding.

The screen returned to Trey as he started to speack again, he held tightly onto his mike.

"Like President Scarlet Rogers said Vetaka has increased it's security. One example is that all air space over Vetaka has been restricted for six hours and is being patrolled by fighters. Also, a man named al-Nakba claims responsibility for the attacks. It is unknown at this time if this is true or false, but so far with what information we have it is deemed to be true," Trey's mike malfunctioned as he said the next few words. No one would ever know what was said. Unless they could read lips that is. However the mike was fixed after a few jolts of the good old fist of Trey.

"...and I quote, My jihadis are responsible for the deaths of the infidels in those three godless nations," the Sheik said. "And we will not stop until Islam is unanimously embraced by these filthy heathens. al-Nakba also seems to claim a car bombing on Kensington's Bond street, in Londinians capital. The death toll is unknown at this time. John?"

The screen was now focused on John once again as Trey's screen disappeared. "Now onto Sera's report," the screen again divided into two with a young women on one half with snow falling again as the background. She sniffed a little as several men in black commando suits walked by.

"Yes John. In response to these attacks the Green Hawk President has released this statement," the screen once again switched to a flag, but of Green Hawk this time.

"The Green Hawk goverment as a whole feels for the people of Vetaka and we are glad to see Vetaka stand strong even after these attacks. So far Vetaka has not asked for our help, but the Special Operations Police none the less are working to find out all they can about these attacks. Also, security has been increased across Green Hawk and police patrols have been doubled. I would like to take advantage of this and send a message to Vetaka as well as it's people. Green Hawk will honor it's alliance with Vetaka though UFAN no matter what. Just give us the call and we will gladly stand at your side. Thank you.


The camera returned to Sera. "Green Hawk, as you can see behind me, has increased security on a national level. commando units now fill the streets, but so far nothing has happened," The screen turned back into one as John said, "Thank you Sera. Stay tuned as out top political advisor helps us to understand the terrorist mind..."

Emergency aid was stepped up, 2 additional cargo ships were added to the Princess City convoy totalling now to 7 a week with an additional 250 relief workers to be sent. Permission was requested to send a small amount of military personell armed with mostly less than lethal munitions as security and for the additional people to be sent via airways. The Kingdom of SaintB's offer for manpower and technology to hunt down the terrorists still stands.
