Squad of the Big Red One RP [Sign up/OCC]
Follow up of "The Company" which saw sucess, but died after i went for a 8 day vacation, I decided to do something the same. All those who sign up would be assigned to the same squad, like in "The Company" Rp your character can rise up through the ranks, but dont make your character fight the Germans rambo style killing 100 of them as though they are a bunch of idiots, if you do, I would be more than happy to make your character die. Also inactive characters will be 'killed' if you left and did not inform me about it, cause it slows down the storyline and the RP itself.
How to Sign up?
Simple, just come up with a character Bio. Please I hope the people who are signing know at least a few facts about World War II, its not nice to draw out an MP5 or a Desert Eagle :p.

What is the Big Red One?
The oldest division in the US army, it is also well trained and fought in many battles durring World War II, but im not going to tell you what battles ( Not for now). Your character will be assigned to 16th Regiment, G Company, 2nd Platoon, Squad two. The Squad has a total of 12 members and one lucky guy would get a springfield Sniper Rifle. Many would get the M1 Garand. Some get the Thompson. WHateva be happy of what weapon you get.

Interesting indeed, tell me more about this idea of yours?
For example, who will the players handle battles, casualties, supplies, ammo, etc.?

Well, i mean i can't handle all these ammo and stuff, not by myself if some are willing to help me mod this Rp and the Players must be willing to be more co-operative. For the losses most likely your character will live until the end, unless you become inactive, however your character may get shot ( but not fatal from an 'order' by me) You can start your character Bio if your intrested now.

all rigth if i use the M1C and M7 Grenade Launcher sometimes
Im fine with that, but most probally that will not be your starting weapon, as the Big Red One's 1st battle is in the year 1942.

Hey, just a question, but will this squad be needing an assasin? For say an enemy that needs to be taken care of quitely?
I know of WW2 weapons, but the M1C was not a standard issue in 1942.

Nope not on this Rp. Its a frontline Company not SAS or Commando.

Lower the weight please, to maybe 60-70 plus the Big Red One Division would not allow such an overweight person into their division.

I think it was 16.
Oh, and from someone whose parents are doctors, I'll have to tell you that your guy probably has an eating disorder.
An example, I am 1,74 meters tall, and my average and "right" weight would be 74-75 kilos.
I weight 76-77 though.

Height and Weight are my numbers given to me by the AUS Army as Class one medically fit for entry
may put it up as 84.5

I'll sign up, I enjoyed the Company before it died :(
Here's my guy:
Name: John Braddock
Age: 19.5
Height:6'5
Weight: 235 lbs
History: He joined the U.S Army before the war started, hoping to see adventure, and fight among fellow freedom lovers, and hopefully not, but if he had to, defeat freedom haters around the globe, he joined with his parent's permission, and hoped to go join the Army ever since he was 13.5 years old...

Being a WW2 obsessive, I wouldn't mind joining in if you can stand a n00b. I'm assuming this starts in 1942?
Name: Eric Hinrick (Hinreich - changed due to the US' declaration of war on Germany)
Age: 18
Height: 5'8
Weight: 235 lbs
History: Eric is the son of a former Imperial German infantryman who was captured by the American Expeditionary Force during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive of 1918. He decided to come and settle in America and raise a family and a farm in Nebraska. Eric enjoyed life on the farm and planned to stay put until the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour. His father advised him to sign up rather than wait and be drafted as he was in the First War. Eric attempted to join the US Marines in the hope he might avoide being sent to the ETO, but was rejected. After several unsuccessful attempts to get into the Air Corps, Eric ended up in the infantry. In basic training he proved reliable, if not widly accurate with the Springfield and other infantry rifles and sidearms, but struggled with heavy weapons. Has three brothers - only one of which is old enough to serve and is in training at Fort Bragg with the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne.

Both accepted, the RP will start in 1941, but that 1 year before the battle will pass quickly [in 1 week or so], mainly training and getting along with the rest of the squad.

I'll settle for whatever weapon the army gives me, as long as I'm not on flamethrower duty... although that means I would earn 75 bucks instead of the usual 50 for a common grunt, or the 60 for a sniper or "designated marksman".
