"Taisen's new movie Cheif is expected to welcome possibly a cast of well over a 1000 diffrent people, making it the 2nd most diverse and largest cast in any Kanami motion picture, that is only outranked by Alex Thorton's film Yasashii Himura. While the two heavy roles of Kino and Ayla Turell have been taken there are still plenty of roles up for the grabs. Military roles including roles as some of the heavy players from the poltical scene. RedTide2 one of the invaders and belived responsible for the Death of Kino Turell has offically denounced the film and immediatley put it on the Banned list. Taisen says she is not concerned with the dealings of the Dictatorship. Open casting is still going on, for all people from all over the place. If you would like to audition or act as an international producer you are welcome to come to Kanami or send in your audition tapes at www.taisenfilms.knm.com, remember it is open casting."

Taisen's Studio, Kanami

It was a pleasant day in the city as a black BMW rolled down the city streets. In the back was an older man with salt and pepper hair with a trimmed beard and grayish blue eyes. His name was Mikhail Sikorski, a much respected and talented actor from Kulikovia. Sikorski's most noted role was that of Fyodor Telienko in The Worker. An internationally acclaimed movie about the events elading up to the Great Revolution. His career was a most impressive one and two weeks ago he picked up the script for The Cheif, a Kanami based film which he quickly appreciated for its' importance and possibility. He contacted Taisen's people himself concerning the film, expressing much interest and flew out earlier in the day to meet with the acclaimed director personally for an interview. The car reahed the studio parking lot and Sikorski stepped out and took off his sunglasses and carried a briefcase which contained the script and other documents and files concerning th real world events he was looking up. He walked with pride and determination up to the secretary's desk,
"I'm here to see Director Taisen" he asked the secretary in a respectful tone.

"Certianlly. Ms. Taisen your 10:00 o'clock is here. All right, take this pass, go straight down the hall it's the door right on the end."

Sikorski smiled quiantly and took the pass from the secretay and checked his watch, right on time. He clipped the pass onto his jacket and breezed past the secretary's desk and down the hallway towards the perscribed door. He eagerly awaited the opportunity to finally meet Ms.Taisen. He'd seen the movies she directed before and was quite impressed. Finally, he reached the door and gave it a quick couple knocks and waited.

"It's open!"

"You must be Mikhail Sikorski, I'm Sakura Taisen, I'm the Director of the picture. This is Executive Producer Roxanne Simmons."

"Pleasure."

"You have her to thank for getting this role."

"I saw you in The Worker and I thought you were brilliant. I vouched for an Academy Award sadly no such luck."

"Please sit. I looked over your resume and it's quite impressive."

Sikorski offered a warm smile and a handshake to the two of them upon entering. He then turned to Roxanne Simmons,
"I'm glad you enjoyed the film" he replied to Simmons as he took a seat. He set the case down next to him and adjusted his seating.
"Thank you, Ms.Taisen. Acting's not only a job but more importantly, a passion" he said to Ms.Taisen.

"Well that is one thing that I expect out of my actors. I'm not just a Director I do act as well. I'm very pationate about both. I'm not acting in this film but that's fine with me. So I just wanted to find out a little more about you and your carer. And the fact you chose to star in our film also intrest me. Nothing personal I'm always facinated by why actors chose the roles they do."

The actor leaned back in his chair and fell deep into thought. There were several reasons why he desired the role he chose. For years Sikorski acted in numerous big movies and became famous amoungst the celebrities in Kulikovia. Despite this, he wanted to expand his horizon. After mulling for a moment he sat back up.
"I read about the story and even saw it unfold on the television, it was powerful and intriguing." Sikorski began. "Another reason was I wanted to expand my range of roles. So, being an antagonist such as this captivated me with the possibilities. Also, it's a tad too political in Kulikovia. I taking this role proved to be quite controversial back in The Worker's State. RedTide2 is a nation which Kulikovia is at a state of tension with for some time. All in all I did it because Intrest and circumstance put me in its' path" he finished, satisfied with his answer.

"I see. Well, welcome to the team!" She shook his hand.

"Now do you have any questions for me?"

A smile came across Sikorski's face. That's it? He wonderedpreviously how the interview would proceed but was not expecting it to be so quick. In his forst major role in The Worker, the director and producer busted his chops and grilled him for over an hour, on the basis he was new and inexperienced in the field of cinema acting. He thought about what to ask.
"When do we begin work?" he shrugged.

"As of now I'm still trying to obtain help from the Government. I plan on shooting your scenes aboard our own ships. In the meantime tomorrow Principal Photography begins, with my two leads. Weather premitting that is. Otherwise I might film one of your scenes if it's stormy. You are welcome to come though you don't have to, but I would like it."

"I am more than happy to come by and watch" Sikorski replied "I like to be around and get a feel for things and how they work. Find my way around the set, meet the other cast members and crew".

"Fantastic. Now Ms. Simmons has booked you in a very nice hotel, there will be phone numbers by the phone. See you tomorrow bright and early."

Sikorski looked at the two of them "Thank you very much" he said to the two of them "Is there anything you need from me before I go?" he asked, standing up and grabbing his briefcase.

"No, not right away. Make sure you sign out with the desk up front."

"I'll do that" Sikorksi smiled and shook their hands before leaving "Thaks for the opportunity" he remarked and then left, signing out at the front desk and turned in his pass. He got back in the BMW and the driver took him to the hotel which was indeed, quite nice. He went to his room, read some more of the script and did some acting infront of the mirror before going to bed.

The next morning the cast and crew shipped out for the island. Weather was proving to be fair. Taisen walked and talked with her cast members explaining the scene. "Corona is still under Aleardian Peace Keeping Jurisdictions naturally it's not safe quite yet. This is the same Island where The Hunted was shot. Ooh bit of irony there." She chuckled.

"Mikhail, this is Momichi Soma, he's playing the Village Elder that choses Kino as cheif."

"Pleasure to meet you." Momichi said.

"Unfortunatley our leading lady isn't here yet so we will have to start with out her, I'm going to make sure my Director of Photography is ready. You two can stay and chat."

Sakura left the group for a moment.

"Great woman isn't she? I've been in six of her movies."

The ocean breezed whipped against Sikorki's face as he watched the island from offshore. It was a peaceful looking island, a shame it was the scene of so much bloodhsed.
"It's good to see you as well" Sikorski shook her hand as they met the cast and crew. "The Hunted? Ah yes, I saw that movie some years ago, a good action/suspense movie. BAsed on true events if I'm correct. Some eccentric millionare hunting people for sport, seems he had too much time on his hands" he chuckled slightly but then recomposed himself.

"Indeed, she is a fantastic director" Sikorski said to Momichi

"So you're playing one of the Admirals am I right?"

"That's correct" Sikorski replied as they moved about the deck of the ship. "I'll be playing Admiral Albert Morskin"

"Ah yes I read the script and well you will be playing a frighting man. I have a way just by looking at people I can tell if they are good. I'm going to go onto directing soon. I see Ms. Taisen as my mentor."

Alejandra Dominguez rushed down the street, pushing people out of her way as she did. Oh, boy, oh, boy, she had overslept! Was it anything close to an uncommon occurence? Of course not. One of her good friends, recently assassinated Chairman Nagaraku Ryouta, had said, "The day Alejandra Dominguez Cazalez is on time for something is the day the world turns inside out and then explodes." But that didn't make her feel any better. The starring actress of Gisela pushed her way through a crowd of stunned Kanamians.

Alejandra pulled a phone from her purse. The ship had already left without her. Once again, typical Dominguez. It had happened with...about two refugee boats in the mid-1990s. The first had taken off with her family, the second had taken off with her boyfriend (and her man on the side). Luckily, she had a number to call in Kanami. With luck, it would be Director Taisen's. With more luck, she wouldn't be too pissed.

"Hey wasn't that?"

"Couldn't be?"

The two patrons thought they had seen a very famous Star ran past them. They pulled the newly owned DVD out of the bag.


Roxanne's phone rang. "Roxanne Simmons. Ms. Dominguez? Hol-hold on."

"Sakura, it's for you, Dominguez."

"Ms. Dominguez, you're late are you all right? I see. Okay well you are in the right place, simply go down to the dock wait for the ferry tell the captian you are with Taisen Pictures he'll know where to take you. All right see you in a little bit."

A Motorboat heading towards the Island

~ " Mierda, can't this crate move any faster?"

" Sorry sir, this is as fast as she goes."

With a shrug, the captain of the small vessel turned back towards guiding his craft the way Ilario Collina had specified. He knew he had arrived in Kanami a bit late, but, damn it to Hell, he would not miss a shoot, oh no.

He had heard great things about Ms. Taisen, and was looking forward to working with her. Seems like she planned this though, he thought with a small grin, as during their earlier conversations about the role, Ms. Taisen had, rather helpfully, told Ilario where the first scene would take place.

Still, he wished that the small boat he had paid good money to ferry him towards the Island could go just a tad faster, at the least. He could see the landmass ahead of him, and knew he was getting closer by the second.

" Goddamn it, I better phone ahead ..."

Knowing that this director was probably none too pleased that he was going to be a few minutes late, Ilario took out his cellphone, said a small prayer of thanks that he had near-full service, and ran through his contacts until the name Taisen was highlighted. With a sigh, he pressed the send button, and then placed the phone up to his ear, hoping that the reception he got on the other side would be, at the least, understanding ...~

"Busy day for me. Roxanne Simmons. Oh, yes you're on your way? Good, do you know how long? Okay okay. I will inform Ms. Taisen. Our leading roles are on their way Sakura."

"All right I was getting nervouse. Let's set up."

The ship continued along its' way towards the island. It was still a slighly hazardous place to be in but it only added to the already building excitment within Sikorksi as he grasped the raillings on the ship and watched.
"The story is inspirational yet tradgeic at the end. Admiral Moskvina is one of the antagonists in the movie, should be interesting" he commented.

"Okay, cool, thanks, Cam...I mean, Ms. Taisen," Alejandra said. She had been to Kanami before, for her awards, and was just remembering that people looked funny at you if you addressed them as "Camarada."

She sat down on the dock, putting her phone away. The ferry eventually came around.

"Capitán!" she shouted at the ferry captain, "I'm Alejandra Dominguez, with Taisen Pictures. Could you take me out to where they're shooting?"

The captain nodded silently. Alejandra took a seat and waited for the boat to arrive. She quickly went and found Taisen.

"Sorry about that. A certain dead man said that I'd never be on time for anything, and so far, he hasn't been wrong," she said.

"I see. I'm glad you are here Ms. Dominguez let's get you into makeup."

She was escorted the the trailer where she was put under the work of the makeup artists. Her skin tones were varried her hair was changed and lengthend. "All right she's ready for her close up. Ella take her to wardrobe."

"Right away."

Alejandra was taken to wardrobe where she was put into her costume. It was a very light and easy costume a simple top that coverd the brests with a wrapped semi-skirt that coverd bottom. "All right you are all ready. Ms. Taisen ms. Dominguez is finished with makeup and costume."

~ For some reason, Ilario wasn't getting through to Ms. Taisen. He kept trying over and over as the boat grew ever closer towards the island. Finally, the boat pulled up to the dock, causing Ilario to ditch his phone all together and make a mad dash towards the scene.

He arrived, slightly winded but still carrying himself well and breathing normally, and immediately set off to find Ms. Taisen. He caught up with her through some of the crowds, and waved her over to try and get her attention.

" Miss Taisen! Ilario Collina, it's a pleasure to finally meet you."~

"Oh good your here. All right please get him to Makeup and Wardrobe."

"Right away. Follow me sir."

Ilario went through his hair and makeup session. His hair was shortened and evened up. He also had some of his skin tones changed to match the basis of his late counterpart. His costume consisted of an usuall pair of shorts they were made from simple cotton and had no patterns. His shirt was taken and hung up. "All right you are ready. Ms. Taisen he's ready."

"Thanks. All right it's good to see you. Our first scene is Kino's meeting to acend to cheif. This is post your marriage to Ayla. Let's get you prepared."

~ Ilario nodded, concurring with Ms. Taisen.

" Alright then, where is my castmate? I still haven't heard of who's playing Ayla."

As he wondered, Ilario began to slowly slip into a meditative state he found before he began shooting. He began to calm himself, his breathing came under voluntary control, and his eyes slowly closed.

Within a few seconds, he opened his eyes again, a certain slowness inherent within his movements. Ilario was calm, relaxed, able to focus more clearly. His mind began to take in every sense that he was able to detect: the fragrant smell of the island mixed with the familiar sense of civilization around him, the graceful and explicit colors, the sounds of hurrying crews and chirping birds.

Every time he did this, it was almost as if a new awakening: it allowed him to become the character he was about to portray. With a deep breath, he asked again.

" Yes, where is Ayla's portrayer? I would like to meet her before we begin."~

"Ayla is being played by Alejandra Dominguez. I don't know if you ever saw Gisela but I'm sure we can find her. She had a breif hold up in makeup."

'Wonder who's gonna be playing Kino...' Alejandra thought as she fidgeted with a Tejano coin. She didn't want to mess up her makeup or screw with the rather revealing costume she had been given. She had destroyed countless costumes by fidgeting with their threads and the like.

"Yes, where is Ayla's portrayer? I would like to meet her before we begin."

Alejandra turned towards the source of the voice, seeing an Italian-sounding actor dressed as...Kino, Alejandra decided.

"Are you looking for me?" she asked.

"Ah here she is. Ilario Collina, meet your co-star Alejandra Dominguez."

~ Ilario flashed a smile, and extended his hand out to her.

" Yes, I was actually hoping to meet you, Miss, Dominguez, was it?"

With a wave of confidence eminating from him, Ilario Collina could not help but be humbled by such a star, and, on a side note, tried his best to not let his appreciation of her beauty show, lest it be construed as something more vulgar. Of course, in the presence of Alejandra, Ilario could not help but smile a little wider ...~

Alejandra smiled back, shaking his hand. He was trying not to check her out. She could tell when people were doing that. Honestly, she could have cared less. She was from a country where people would flirt with a broom wearing a skirt.

Alejandra was a whole lot hotter than a broom with a skirt.

"Alejandra is fine...Ilario, right? I'm sorry, I'm absolutely horrible with names."

"Well, I suppose I've kept all of you waiting for long enough. Ms. Taisen, what scene are we on? I'm sorry, I missed it."

"Well our first scene is Kino's call to serve as cheif. This is shortly following your marriage so natuarlly I want both of you to be embraceful. Grip hands because we are going to do a low and tight shot of that. We will also do plenty of tight pan shots on both of your faces so try not to follow the camera with your eyes. Belive me it happens to the best of us, even me. If you will follow me to the set."

Sakura led them to the space. "Both of you should be on your nees, give the appearance of being upright and not slouching."

ooc: Not that much time...sorry if it's a little rushed.

IC: Alejandra nodded, as she followed Sakura to the area that they were shooting the scene. She happened to remember this scene. She had a near-photographic memory, but that only mattered if she had actually bothered to read that particular part of the script, which she luckily had. Now all she had to worry about was staring at that damn camera...

After getting to the place that they were shooting, as directed, knelt down, not slouching. Unless she was really tired, she hardly ever slouched, so it wasn't that much of a problem.

She took Ilario's hands, "Well, shall we begin, then?"

~ Alejandra's hand felt warm in his, and Ilario spoke in agreement with her.

" Yea ... yea, let's."

He knelt next to her, the sand grainy but soothing on his skin. The wind whipped up a bit, touselling his and her hair, although it added to the island feel of the scene. The day was still somewhat young, the sky was clear: it was a perfect day for shooting. Looking over at the director, he gave her a short nod.

" Ok, Miss Taisen, I think we're ready."~

"All right, role cameras!"

"Rolling, Speed, Lock it Down!"

"Marker take one,"

"And action!"

Village Elder: "I know you are wondering as to why we are calling you here today. The other elders as well as my self have felt it's time to elect a new cheif. I'm passing on my position. You're are the one."

"Tight shot on Soma," Sakura whispered.

"Oh no cut it. Mike was in picture, let's try again from your last line."

"Action!"

"I'm passing on my position. You are the one."

"Tight shot. Perfect and cut and print. Very good first take both of you, I'm impressed."

"Are we ready?"

"Ready Ms. Taisen."

"Role Cameras!"

"Role Cameras!"

"Lock it down!"

"Speed"

"Check the gate."

"And action!"


Cameras began rolling as four actors potraying world leaders entered the room.

David Conroy: (Michale Allenger) "We have a problem. That Romney woman has cut off all comunications regarding this so called protected area."

RTLeader: (Petrove Conery): "Ze way I see it, is they are a bunch of islands in the middle of nowhere, fair game."

Roberts: (Allen Wilson) "This could result into war. She needs to learn her place, she needs to learn she was wrong about your penal colonies in the first place Conroy."

Conroy: If we have to, we'll attack. Kanami doesn't want a war they want a nice quick settlement. If we attack it will bring them back to negotiating table."

"Cut it." Sakura shouted. "That was great gentalmen, but it could be better, don't sound hesitant okay, okay,"

"Take two, Action!"

The scene was repeated and Taisen yelled cut.

"Aren't you worried about stepping on some toes?" Asked the Script Supervisor.

"I won't make a film that lies." Sakura said.

"Suite your self. Just hope they know that when the final cut is released."

"You know these scenes may be taken out."

"I hope you know what you are doing."

"Mother once told me, a film can spin to lie or spin to truth, it's up to the director."

"This may not be entirely factual either."

"Come on, you can't unleash a shelling on an island full of innocent people and not have planned it. I am the only one who stands opposed to our new found freindship? Stevid's leader belongs in jail. I have a right to think that rember? If Stevid has any sense at all they know Kanami has a free media.
