Espionage! (OOC/Interest)

I need to start lining up some players for a storyline I'm planning to run alongside the upcoming Gholgoth/QC war. I don't want to give too much of it away (for obvious reasons) but the gist of it is one of my Colonels will activate and attempt to use a spy cell somewhere in Haven.

Right now I need for someone on the QC side of things (preferably, again, in Haven) to let me have a small number of intelligence personnel on the ground in their nation. These wo/men won't actually spy on the host nation; rather they will relay information to it.

Soon I plan on developing the anti-Gholgoth caste within my own military. I've not yet worked out its size or composition, but these people will be interested in passing information to Questers, in order to strengthen Arda's tactical position relative to that of her allies. My government will be opposed to these measures and will work with the Gholgoth/NATO side to neutralize the spy ring when (and if) it's discovered.

I don't have any specific characters that I need (unless you have one in mind you'd want to use), and if necessary I can tell the whole story without any third party involvement--even though I'd prefer not to. I've never considered espionage to be Arda's strong suit, so if anyone on the NATO side is itching to catch them eventually, let me know. If you have any other ideas or suggestions feel free to leave them here; or find me on IRC. You could telegram me but I'm terrible about answering them.

I'll sign up as a pro-QC group, my Black Hand organization. The hidden branch of the military that covers assassinations, terrorism, sabotage, and other such activities.

I'm pro-QC, non-Haven, and if nothing else I'll teach the anti-Gholgoth caste and fund them.

Well, costs will be low since we're not actively trying to uncover new information, we're just relaying what we already know to the other side. Regardless, we can be sure the Colonel wouldn't leave a paper trail of any sort.

I've started Act One ("The Gears Begin to Turn") but I'll be needing to figure out where the rest of this is going to be taking place once Holmstrom's 15th Mechanized arrives in Allanea.

(EDIT: Apparently, it's Northford, as per a discussion on IRC. Even though Roark will mostly stay near the front in Haven's northwest, I will have to RP some activity on the ground in Northford as well.)

The Second Act will begin when the war itself does. Early or perhaps mid way through the second act I plan on having Roark travel to Northford to inspect and ensure her contacts there. Vontanas, if you want to be involved I would guess it would have to be limited strictly to either:

Pulling strings from your home country
or
Jumping somehow into the wetwork in Gholgoth or Haven itself with a small troupe.

If you want to help fund them you can, but Roark is from a wealthy family and will be able to do most of the financing out of her own pocket. Still, manpower would probably be more valuable to an operation like this than monetary aid, since Roark is getting the information free of charge from her own military. The only issue really is transmitting it to the desired parties at the desired time.

Link please.

I think I'll activate a sleeper cell to infiltrate the Ardan military, under the command of the lieutenant. They should be able to transfer the data safely from Allanea to New Vantania, and from there to the other QC states and supporters.

The thread is here. (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=531230) Any infiltration of Ardan armed forces will probably have to occur after the outbreak of war; when the chaos really starts to set in a bit. Even though a third party operation such as yours would have the same net result (and might actually be much easier for Roark), the Colonel will move to destroy/neutralize it if you do it anyway and she finds out.

Do you happen to need to use some neutral country for making your operations harder to trace?

I don't think so, but when things start coming together I'll lend it some thought.

The problem is that there are plenty of neutral nations in Haven itself, so if the need arose Roark would just as soon do it within the same region.
