Today, the United States of America announces a policy of accepting refugees from all over NS who are fleeing wars, civil wars, ethnic cleansing, and religious and political persecution. We are also accepting refugees running from class status persecution or who are facing persecution due to their sexual orientation.

This policy is now open to NS inhabitants regardless of their race, color, religion, political philosophy, class status, gender, age, sexuality, or species.

Once the conflicts are over, we hope to be able to send war refugees back to their native countries.



(OOC: If it's cool with most of you all, we can just assume that refugees from war zones are automatically finding ways to get to the US territories, on earth and its lunar and martian colonies. If that's not ok with you, just state so here in an ooc post and I'll check here to make sure I'm doing refugees from your NS nation.)

OOC: What would you say to a peacekeeping operation?

OOC: What would you say to a peacekeeping operation?

OOC: It depends on what you mean by peacekeeping operations. Most such operations don't produce refugees. Then again it depends on what kind of peacekeeping and who the peacekeepers are.

OOC: Sounds interesting. However, while I base my USA on the real one, because of things peculiar to NS, such as population, I rp using a different type of landmass. The US's location on a real world map would not be able to contain the number of people an NS USA would hold. Unless of course that map were much bigger. LOL
What do you have in mind?

OOC: I was thinking RPing some kind of diplomatic incident which damages relations between the two countries and trying to resolve the resulting confrontation before it comes to blows (of course, if we fail to resolve it, it could possibly become a war RP as well, but only if we both agree to do that).
