Koenwitz Dispatches Expeditionary Force to Urscreenhere (ATTN: Urscreenhere)

The Armed Republic of Koenwitz
To: The government of the People's Republic of Urscreenhere.
Following continued support by your government and your nation for pro-Royalist and pro-democratic rebel forces in Koenwitz, and the continued infractions into Koenwitz by protestors, orators and even recruits for the rebel forces, the Armed Republic has decided that it has no choice but to dispatch, with immediate effect, a military expeditionary force to your country in order to ensure that your country does not pose a threat to us.
As I write this, Koenwitzian Airborne Troops are heading to assigned drop zones in your country. I would advise your government and your military to surrender immediately, if it does not wish to see terrible damage wreaked on your cities and the disastrous effect on the civilians of Urscreenhere.
Sincerely,
Colonel-General Andreas Kaen
Chief of Staff
Army of Koenwitz

Sergeant Max Steier sat quietly in the back of the KV-52 transport aircraft and picked at his fingernails. He was nervous. The whole squad was nervous. They'd not long got back from Boico. His dad, the Colonel, had told him what a disaster it had been. Max hadn't seen any of that, of course. He was too busy helping old ladies into the aircraft as shells landed all around.
The aircraft rocked slightly. Max frowned, got up from the jumpmaster's seat and peered through the exit hatch. Flak. Big, bright explosions flickering accross the night sky. Jesus, they weren't supposed to have flak.
The red light burst into life. Max forgot his fears, started shouting the commands to his men. Parachute ripcords clinked into place, weapons were cocked and tightened in their chest holsters. The light went green. Max made a thumbs-up to his men, and threw himself out of the aircraft.
Outside, hundreds of parachutes were beginning to blossom. The entire 1st Airborne Division was dropping into Urscreenhere. To his west he could see the bright lights of Dorchester, the Urscreenian capital - their objective. It looked seriously large. Max swallowed.
He landed in a bog that went up to his chest. Cursing, Max freed himself of his parachute, checked his weapon, and ploughed forward towards the drop zone. The flak was heavy, and he could see the bright flash of the guns firing on the outskirts of the city. He could also see the thousands of men moving towards it in the darkness. The battle was on.
----
Back in Koenwitz, Field Marshal Kaen drummed his fingers nervously on the table. The sound of approaching boots broke his concentration. He looekd up into the excited face of his son.
"Dad, the 1st Airborne Division is in-country, everything is going to plan."
"I hope so, boy, I hope so..."

The young chief sector warden looked over to the skies. It was unusual for such lights in the sky. He should know; it was his job to take down the birds that threatened certain wild-life. 'Except these must be big birds', he thought to himself. Rounding up the horn on his cart, he got five of his aides up. He got a sixth to comm. over the zone for all other warderns. "Looks like there's something up in the night sky. Time for some fireworks" called out the bustling younger private Wilcoxx next to him. 'whatever takes a young poet or artist to become enlisted int this'? the chief warden thought to himself.
The Six AA guns were unloaded in the zone surrounding the capital and in record-time, the guns were deployed. It only took them another minute to load the guns and start taking down the birds; whether spy-planes or municipal aircraft, nothing reported important in the air-zone would have to be taken down. and there was no communication for a flight over the skies tonight.
With guns blazing, the Chief warden called up the co-operative.

Colonel-General Udo Koch, commander of the 1st Airborne Division, nursed his broken ankle and swore. Behind him, a KV-52 burned fiercly. Koch was lucky to have escaped alive. He told the medic to hurry up bandaging his ankle. He wanted to get in the fight.
There was a rustle in the bushes, and Koch's aide, Colonel Steppermann, appeared, covered in mud.
"Jesus Udy, you ok?" he said, eyes widening at his commander's ankle.
"Never mind about that, what's the sitrep?"
"Well, it's good and bad. Weve got the 5th FJ intact, but the 9th was hit bad by ack-ack fire and it's scattered to hell and gone. As for the artillery, it's being held back."
"Shit, I knew they were taking this thing to lightly." Koch pushed the doctor out of the way and struggled to his feet, using his rifle as a crutch.
"Come on, lets get into this fight."
As he staggered forward to his command post, the sky was filled with an eerie whooshing noise. The gliders were coming...

In an instant, the population of Dorchester were in shock and terror. Some of the Urhs in the west district immediately took to arms, heading to the fields to get pitch-forks, and to the industrial areas to get the drills and chainsaws; whatever they felt was necessary to take down 'th enemy'. Meanwhile the Eres field to their homes and shut their doors. The Screens engaged the cybernetics and clones; in the hope that attrition might hinder the invaders' approach. The man leaders to the cooperative sat down for herbal teas, however, as this happened almost every month. Last month, a whole town got blown to bits over a sea-gull and two pigeons.
At the AA guns, the feeds for ammo were beginning to run low. It was left up to the youngest three, on their zebrutic-wolf mounts, to retrieve another batch of ammunition from the stores.

Max peered toward the AA gun position from behind a fallen birch-tree. It was one of the few still left in action. The enemy seemed to have used up all their ammo. Behind him, in the distance, he could hear the crump of glider landings, and the far-off roar of tank engines.
The four-barrelled cannon ceased firing. There was hurried activity as the crew started to reload. Max signalled to his squad. The machine-gunner opened fire. One of the enemy gunners collapsed, blood spraying from his neck. Max charged forward, two men in two. Despite the fire, the chief gunner managed to get behind the firing controls. He traversed the weapon and opened fire.
"Cover!" yelled Max
Heavy-calibre flak rounds screamed overhead. The machinegunner disappeared in a reddish mist. Cursing, Max signalled to his men to use grenades. Four pineapples sailed into the gunpit. There was a series of cracks, and the gun fell silent. Max got on his feet again and charged forward. The gunpit was terrible. Bodyparts and blood were spattered everywhere. They'd knocked the gun out for definite.
"Jesus," said Private Marx, breathless. "They were just kids."
Max didn't linger. "Then this country deserves to die."
The squad moved on.
--------
By now, Colonel-General Koch was beginning to get a handle on the situation. The 5th FJ Regiment were advancing steadily into the outskirts of Dorchester. The 9th Regiment had been scattered disastrously, many men being stabbed to death by pitchfork-wielding civilians or savaged by angry wolves. More worrying were the reports coming in from the 5th Glider Regiment. It had suffered heavily as the AA gunners fired the last of their ammunition with terrifying accuracy. Those gliders that had got down found themselves swarmed by human wave attacks. It was like the Urscreenians had cloning technology, so great were the numbers. The regiment was almost overwhelmed, and it was only the sheer volume of machinegun fire that kept the enemy back. Koch scratched his brow.
"When is reinforcement expected?"
"Not until daybreak, sir." Steppermann peered towards the burning capital through his binoculars.
"Jesus, I don't like the look of this."

An Old Screen, by the name of Urkl'sterr Lupii, headed out of on of the clone factories. In a spite for action, the Urhs had become crazy, tearing their own homes apart. Lupii caught sight of strangers through his specialized binoculars. whoever they were, tehy were heavily armed. "there's no time. I have to hurry" he thought out loud. e got to his dusty garage, and got into his father's old starlington crossroad. It was an old design, one that had been taken off the factories since the government policy was brought in to illegalise cars But Lupii could never rid of such a prized beauty. and neither did he hide the fact that he had a store of five old guns, two that are actual relics from some of the first wars.
He got those, and drove of to the city hall, iNviting fellow citizens that agreed to help his 'cause'.
Meanwhlst, the AA guns were being torn apart.
The Chief warden was only twenty, yet he knew he wouldn't get past the next sixty seconds. so he picked up one of the ammo shells, and ordered the res on his gun to retreat to the city, and not attack the soldiers.
"When the troops'd come round here, they'd find a nasty surprise". He started to manage the AA gun himself, and aimed it downwards, to the surrounding fields and trees ahead. He fired madly.
In another gun not so far away, one of the six year olds managed to pick up one of the shells, and smashing it downwards on the ground, when some Koenwitz came to take him away.
Astrid Bevhil, one of the female farmer leading against the soldiers, took to her barn, to get her old hunting rifle. She had already seen her two sons get torn aprt in the field ahead. she would not let her others die too.

As he made his way through the fields towards the outskirts of Dorchester, Max found himself admiring the people of Urscreenhere. They had guts. Even the kids would rather blow themselves up than surrender.
That bravery was having an effect too. He could sense it. Despite the crackle of gunfire up ahead, this wasn't the cakewalk he expected. For every nutter with a crossbow there was always a casualty, a wound that slowed up the advance. It would be hours before the ground forces arrived, and who knew about additional airborne units...
The squad were moving towards a large barn. Max felt that something wasn't right. It was too quiet. He was right. A rifle shot barked accross the field. Private Marx collapsed, blood spurting from his neck. Max swore and charged towards the side of the barn. More shots were fired from above. A woman's voice roard defiantly from within.
"You won't take me alive, you bastards!"
Marx was wheezing, choking on his own blood. There was nothing Max could do to help him. That made him mad. Kicking the barn door in, he and the eight surviving men of the squad burst in and began firing indiscriminately...
----------
At the command post, General Koch had got into the fight. A large group of clones had broken through the lines and were charging towards his position, waving axes and all manner of sharp-edged weaponry. Taking shelter in a V-shape of machine-guns, Koch and the HQ team opened fire. The bullets cut swathes in the advancing mass, but still they kept on. Some tumbled over the bodies of their fallen comrades, but they got closer and closer, screaming at the top of their lungs. Koch's shoulder ached with the ferocious recoil of the MG-64. The barrel began to sizzle. It looked as if they were going to be overrun...
And then...
And then...
Flames. Explosions. The vast mass disappeared. Whirling around, Max saw the heartening sight of two attack helicopters. The 1st Air Assault Division had arrived.

Astrid ran as fast as she could in her plain cloths ad gown. Without armor, the bullets were able to penetrate he skin quite easily. Luckily, she was on the top floor, and the wheat, flour and her bar-animals made for some easier protection. But she knew hat in this fight, she would not live. So instead, she hit the release cages for the animals. Two Zebrutic wolves came out in a blind rush at the soldiers, whilst the other animals prayed that they could remain in their cages a bt longer, at least until the fight was over.
Astrid tore of her gown, and used it to plan her escape. Limping to the Bar Widow, she tried to grab some of the branches of one of the nearby trees, in the vain hope that se could escape the slaughter.
Then a stray bullet hit her skull, and passed through her right eye, casting her down to the ground below.
Two Urhs near the barn were trying to flee the attack on the fields. One of them caught sight of Astrid's gun, ad made an attempt to get to it. He ran towards it, and failed, as three bullets passed through the thick wood, and through his lungs. Breathing out gaseous blood, he collapsed to the floor. His friend was able to get the gun, however, and went into the barn, rifle blazing.
By now, all of the AA guns were disabled or were too wrecked to use. Two of the ammo carriers had been torn apart by gunfire, but the third had been able to retreat far enough to the city. She believed that it was no use in attempting to call in reinforcements; all she had to do was to look around at the killing fields. Literally, blood was being spilled on potatoe and whet and grain fields: vegetables ad roots spoiled by the venomous blood that lay almost everywhere. She had to do something, though, as her mount was getting awfully hungry, just looking at the blood....
Elsewhere, Lupii had reached the City-center's hall. He and his ten other comrades crammed into the vehicle slammed through the gates, and made an about-turn on one of the guards, knocking him unconscious.
With excellent speed, the ruffians were able to enter the Building, and with no problems with security (They had pistols, rifles and ornate swords; the security officers had batons - besides, they had never ad such problems unit today).
Lupii and three others went immediately to the committee's rooms.
The Commitee were in mid-negoptiations with the chief of Police and a Communications offcier;
"We've been cut rebels, over in the north-east. We've also lost half of Fairwater to the south. And we've lost all our Perimeter air-control. Our AA guns are most likely to be in their control, by now. But the force eading our way are not the rebels. Now what are you going to do about this?!" The Chief of Pole commanded.
"Well," the Communications officer explained, "our telegram and post offices are down in all sectors. We'd put that down to these rebel-scum again."
"and we're voting on the issue, as we speak. Once we've got a Sixty percent vote, we'll carry out the operations, and then-"
But Commitee leader Dante Ramirez could not continue, again being interrupted by the chief of police, "We wot get that vote. Call in to the stations now, and we could resolve this in a matter of days, not weeks. We simpy don't have the time..."
The the Committee as a while reealised they were not alone. Lupii stepped forward, aead of his two 'friends'.
"We've got no time at ll, unless we ac now. The Chief there is right. We're being invaded. As we speak, soldiers are taking ovcer the whole outer-city. ore han likely they've came here for control. I propose we give them that control"
Lupii's friends were astounded, as were the committee, but hey all let him continue
"And go for some negotiations. Now I know personally that you av underground bases and bunkers. I want to head to one of those with all you men and women. I'll also need communication, and an army of policemen, if you want this to work"
The Police Chief was the first to stand "And what idea would you have in mind?"
"I'll tell you...." Lupii went on.

Max popped a fresh magazine into his rifle and wandered out of the barn. The building was full of the hideous stench of blood, cordite and burnt flesh. There were intermittent shots as one of his men dispatched the caged animals. There was a louder pistol shot as Corporal Gravitz dispatched the idiot who had run into the barn firing from the hip. All he'd managed to hit was a chicken.
Max wandered over to the half-naked body of the woman. She was covered in her own blood. He crouched down and lifted up her head.
"Better luck next time, bitch"
---------------
At the command post, Colonel-General Koch had gathered up a mixed collection of platoon and company commanders.
"All right gentlemen, well done. We've established a strong foothold in Urscreenhere. Casualties have been heavy, but now the 1st Air Assault Division is here," he gestured at the group of helicopters scudding towards the capital, "We can finish this fight."
"Any news on the relief columns, sir?" asked one Lietuenant.
"2nd Light and 4th Heavy Armoured Divisions have penetrated miles to the south. They're fighting in Fairwater, and that town looks like its about to fall."
The men cheered.
"In the north, the 5th Airmobile Division landed and seized the outer areas of the port of Abermurphy. They are about to be relieved by the 1st Armoured Division."
Another roar of triumph.
"As for us, General Heydte's Corps is breaking through to us. He should be here in a few hours. And, he's got a surprise..."
As Koch spoke, there was a deep rumble from the hills in the distance, towards the Koenwitzian border. There was what appeared to be the sound of several approaching freight trains. The young airborne officers craned their necks. Dark, black cylinders whirled through the sky and exploded in the centre of Dorchester
"...the 1st Heavy Artillery Brigade. We think it'll make the enemy government think of surrender. Not that that matters anymore. Now, gear up, we'll assault in a pincer movement, 5th Glider on the right, 5th FJ on the left. Move out!"

The chief of Police had got on the line with his central deputies, explaining how he needed all the help he could get to rescue the committee. However, on hearing from his officers about the chaos and turmoil inside ad outside of Dorchester, he then ordered them to gather the city's population to the market square, and to handle with the invaders as peacefully as possible. He had to smooth out these operations, and as fast as possible. He knew he couldn't get t the committee now, so he rushed out with his aide into the street, to try and calm down the locals.
Elsewhere, Lupii had given his DNA and hair samples to to of the rifle men. He wouldn't need them from now on, and excusing the mthis way would be the best way possible He was half a mile undergound, and was waitiing for the next tram, which would arrive in two minutes. He knew that every second counts, but he also knew that he could not go through such a journey without such a transport.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Police officer Coltrane headed off to the fields as fast as he could. For some inane reason, communication had been cut off. He had always had problems speaking to much of the rest of the population in his district
However, only moments ago, he ad eard gunshots, and set of; after all, his duty was to protect all innocents. Never before had he see much sight. from his bicycle, he could already see smoke near the city walls.
"That's the Snegging fields!", he swore out loud. He got to the scene, ad had to start running off from the automatic-firing.
"And those are Snegging bullets!"
---------------------------------------------------------------------
In the forwarding communications' entrenchment, north-east of Dorchester, The civic servants had been executed, and the rebel leader had been put in bondage.
"What should we do with him", one rebel asked
"I say, we should shove him in the blow-dryer. Let him know how it feels, yes?"

By now, Max and his squad had begun to work their way down the streets of Dorchester. Helicopters screamed overhead, the doorguns chattering at targets far below. Vehicles had been dragged out into the streets to block them, and flames billowed from broken buildings. Every two or three minutes one of the big railway shells would slam with bone-chattering impacts. Whole houses had been demolished by these destructive weapons. Helicopters hovered over certain buildings as Air Assault troopers fast-roped onto the roofs. It was mayhem.
Max and the squad moved up the street in a standard column, covering every window. A glider had crashed not far ahead, spilling broken, rag-doll like bodies in every direction. There was a scream from behind the wrecked aircraft. Max watched in horror as a vast wall of people, many of them naked, began charging down the street towads his squad. The men fanned out and started firing. The front ranks of the horde disintegrated but kept coming. Soon the squad were overwhelmed. Max felt angry hands tearing his skin and clothing. He howled in agony. A massive hand clamped over his face and he was dragged into the glider. Everything went black.
----------
Meanwhile, the commander of the 2nd Koenwitz Expeditionary Force, Colonel-General Andreas Kaen, son of the Field-Marshal, had arrived at the HQ of the 1st Airborne Division. Colonel-General Koch was sitting behind a machinegun in front of which was a grotesque dune of ruined bodies. He had radio telephones clamped to both ears.
"Udo, my boy, how are things?" said Andreas, smiling.
Koch didn't reply, merely raising his eyebrows in acknowledgement. The smile faded from Andreas' face.
"Is that all you can say to an old friend and superior officer?"
"That's all I have time to say," Koch replied as a shell exploded violently in the city. "If you hadn't noticed, I'm fighting a major battle here."
"Yes, that's why I've come to visit. My father is concerned that your division seems to be taking so long to capture this city when the armoured columns have seized the south of the country and appear to be able to seize the north."
"I wouldn't be so sure." Koch removed the radio handsets and got up, fumbling for a cigarette. He gestured to Andreas and pointed at the long line of broken bodies leading up to the command post.
"Firstly, the Urscreenians clearly have cloning technology, and a remarkably swift one at that. They've hit my division with massed human wave attacks, mostly unarmed, but they still manage to overwhelm us. No matter how many we kill they just keep coming."
"Just like the Russians..."
"Something like that. Secondly, I'm concerned at how little of the Urscreenian Army we've seen. They could be going underground. It's imperative that we prevent an insurgency."
"That's a postwar aim. Your immediate goal should be the seizure of the capital and the governmental areas."
"That's what I'm trying to do, but I've co-ordinated my men in a strike on what appears the main cloning facility. They're having a hell of a time breaking through."
"What do you need."
"Everything. These few heavy shells aren't enough. I need tanks, armoured infantry, bombers, the whole kaboodle. And I need it fucking quick."
"Hmm..."

By now nearly half of the citizens of Dorchester had amassed over at the city center. Nearly all of the were afraid, some of their boies mutilated or malformed. All Hubert had to clam them down was his mega-pohne, which wasn't thart much help. He and thirty other officers ad police-men and women ahd to surround the mob as best the cold to contain the situation.
They were very nearly five to ten minutes away from the incoming invaders. Although they could be heard, none of them could be seen.
Hubert just wished that this wouldn't get nasty.
He had sent five of his best men to the Cloning factories, in an attempt to halt the cloning process. Thi was getting out of hand, real fast.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
To the west, The Milford-Drake cloning center was going horribly wrong. y now, the clones were still coming out by their thousands, but ow they were being mutated to have extra limbs. Of course, by the time half of these might reach the invaders, they would simply collapse. Coltrane knew this as he passed. He had soe-how evade the tanks and the planes, the Helicopters, nd the war. And he had come here. He had to stop this killing. So e got inside, and wet off for the scientist, wielding his club at the ready.

"This is Fox 5-1-1, we are in sight of target, over"
Captain Wilhelm Gorisch of Fox Company, the 101st Independent Tank Battalion peered through the grime-stained cupola windows of his Cougar MBT. The massive Milford-Drake cloning factory loomed up ahead. Part of it was in ruins, hit by the bombing raids that had pummelled the city during the night. There was a banging on the cuploa hatch. Gorisch opened up. A young paratroop lieutenant peered in through the smoky mist.
"Company is going to attack the building through the flank. Some of the Air Assault boys will be here to fast rope down onto the roof. You're job is just to keep hitting the building and try and convince the defenders to surrender."
Gorisch nodded.
"Want any of my machines to come with you?"
"No, way too much rubble inside the complex, you'd be a liability. Just hold back here."
"Right." Gorisch smiled as the young trooper closed the hatch. Typical. His unit had travelled hundreds of kilometres in a mere two days without seeing any action. Now, here at the front, it looked as if he would miss out altogether.
As he thought this, an alarm sounded from deep within the facility. Gorisch frowned. A large hangar door in the centre of the massive complex opened slowly. Things...horrible things...poured out into the scorching sunlight.
"Christ..." said Gorisch's gunner, "What are those things...they're not...human..."
He was right. The creatures spilling towards the armour formation were hideously deformed, some with limbs and orificies where they shouldn't have been. The mass charged towards the tanks.
"Sir?" the gunner sounded nervous.
"All Foxcubs, open fire!"
The air was ripped with the sound of high-velocity cannon and machine-gun. The hideous mass was splintered, bodies and bones flying into the blood-soaked air. Still more of them came. The tanks were massacaring hundreds, thousands of the beasts, but still they kept coming. Gorisch popped open the cupola hatch and started firing at them with his personal machinepistol. One of his forward tanks disappeared beneath the mass. There was the eerie sound of metal being rent and broken.
A large body of creatures veered off and raced towards Gorisch's tank. One particularly ugly beast, with four arms, leapt with leopard-like power onto the turret, right in front of Gorisch. The Captain fired an entire magazine into the bemuscled chest of the beast, but to little effect. The monster removed the Captain's head in one massive swipe, and followed the decapitated corpse down inside the tank.
Fox Company ceased to exist.
-----------
Meanwhile, Colonel-General Koch had joined his troops in Dorchester, following a platoon into the front-lines. The ring was closing in around the city. Policemen were trying to calm the civilians down. It looked as if capitulation was imminent. Airborne troops burst into houses, dragging civilians outside. In the rear, General Heydte's infantry corps had arrived, and the infantrymen were beginning the clearup operation. It had been a long couple of days.
Koch wandered past a ruined glider, around which were splayed hundreds of bodies, some of them of his own unit. A trail of blood led off down one of the side streets. Koch looked away. He felt an arm on his shoulder. It was Steppermann.
"The armour is pushing into the cloning facility to the west, should have it cleared up soon."
"The governmental area?"
"Still heavily defended. Looks like a last ditch thing. What do you want to do?"
"Get me one of those tanks and a megaphone..."

Seeing Captain Gorisch' ranks, Hubert stepped forward, raising a rugged white flag made out of his baton and T-shirt. He headed towards the invaders slowly and cautiously.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lupii reached the underground access, after passing an awesome discovery. Apparently an old Screen Temple before the age of technology, this huge cave was dug out into a temple. The Tram was held on by two beam, to go over this ancient ruin. It would appear that the screen' actual base goes further than he thought. Further, deeper, and most probably, old and ancient...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coltrane was getting closer to the head scientist, he knew it. He had already subdues two security officers and a dozen mutated clones, but had only found that this factory just went deeper and deeper underground. He was what four stories below ground. Pretty eep for your average factory. Then he passed one of the security rooms, and went back to see what was happening on the first floor. "so these invaders have come to play to, hmmm?" He mused.
Perhaps it wouldn't be too much trouble after all. Perhaps, Coltrane thought to himself perhaps they have come to save us?

Colonel Koch and his troopers advanced towards the governmental centre of Dorchester. Approaching them was a terrified police officer with a white home-made flag.
"Don't shoot!" he said
"Drop your weapons!" shouted Koch. The man complied, unholstering and casting aside his sidearm.
"Now, take us to your leader."

Meanwhile, at the cloning factory, the overwhelmed tank company had been rescued by infantry and artillery troops. Firing over open sights, the artillerymen decimated the ranks of hideous creatures. Koenwitzian troops were soon swarming into the ruined factory buildings.

Hubert tried his best not to burst out laughing. He knew all too well of the seriousness in this matter. But how did they not know? surely when you coe to invade some-one, you have to understand your enemy, know them inside-out?
"We've got several leaders. I'll take you to the City hall now, if you like".
The other policemen were having a lot of trouble organizing peace among the civilians. Unrest was readying to open up again.
"You traitorous scum, Hube! Don't think we'll forget this!"
With that two citizens escaped the Police' grasp, and headed for Hube, one bearing a sharp blade, which would normally be used for cutting through grain.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coltrane reached the Head scientist. But much to his dismay, he was already dead, probably killed by his own clones.
He tried to shut of the main computer, but that didn't work, so he opened one of the control panels, and got out his baton. The Batons included a battery powered hilt, for shocking a criminal and knocking them unconscious.
He had gto make this quick, so he cut into the battery as best as her could, and put the charge on its highest measurement. After shoving the baton firmly into the secondary power, grid for the main computer, he rushed off as fast as he could.
He had maybe a minute or two to get out of the way, before, the baton would blow.

The Rebels had obviously not yet yielded to either Urscreenhere's Government, nor to the Koenwitz Invading Forces.
Not long after sending encoded messages out to the Koenwitz government, the New Rebel leader radioed some of his men to cut the south-sector power for Dorchester. Then Igis, his lieutenant and second-in-command was able to track Lupii's message, "Sir, we have trouble. A message has been sent from Dorchester to Koenwitz. It would appear that This Lupii is helping the Koenwitz, or at least trying to contact them"
<b>"So, Lupii's up to his old tricks again? They're all traitors! The whole lot of them!"</b>
"You know him?"
<b>"Know him? I served alongside him, before the banning of arms. We were criminals on the run. He kept claiming that he was innocent, though. Damn fool. They're all fools!"</b>
"Yes sir"
<b>"Alright. If he wants to play, he can play. Where's the signal coming from?"</b>
"I don't know, sir. It would appear that the coding is locked up tight. No even my hacking abilities can pass through this grid."
<b>"then he's smarter than I thought. No matter. If the Koenwitz do not give into our demands, we'll shut down ll the power"</b>
"and then what?"
<b>"and then, we can make more demands. After-all, we have supreme logistical control over all of the electrical, water and gas systems. Ifg they do not comply, we simply blow them up".</b>
With that, the Lieutenant gave a sigh of resignation. Those in the lead were also so cocky and all of them're megalomaniacs.
Bigotry in the big people.

Hubert tried his best to deal with the two mobilized and armed citizens. He would have to lead Corp. Koch to the City hall. it was about a three minute walk, so he knew it would take quite a long time; but he also knew that the other police officers might wilt under the pressure. He only hoped that the invaders would not go into a shoot-ot over a man holding a flimsy blade.
please don't shoot to kill, he thought to himself hoping to project his thoughts to the invaders, don't start a massacre here.

ENCODED TRANSMISSION
The Armed Republic of Koenwitz
Official Diplomatic Transmission
To: Ryan Getzlaf, Leader of Vanek Drury Brieres
On behalf of my father, the leader of Koenwitz, it would like to thank you wholeheartedly for your support in our effort against the Urscreenian hordes. We would ask that you deploy your commandos to the area around the major port city of Abermurphy in a form of amphibious assault. As for the 500,000 ground troops, you may land this force at Theodorplatz airfield and Elzstadt port where they will subsequently be deployed into Urscreenhere in a 3-Corps assault formation, if this is to your liking.
The current situation suggests that the actual government forces are on the verge of collapse, but various rebel groups, both Koenwitzian and indigenous, appear to want to carry on the war effort.
I look forward to meeting with your military representatives at my headquarters in Wrenwald on the Koenwitz/Urscreenhere border.
Respectfully,
Colonel-General Andreas Kaen
Officer Commanding,
2nd Koenwitz Expeditionary Force

General Koch and his men pushed through the mixed horde/crowd towards the gleaming Screenian palace at the centre of Dorchester. It truly was an elegant essay in modern design - masses of gleaming white concrete and shimmering glass, albiet pocmarked with shelldamage. The crowd was getting restless and the police officer looked highly nervous. Shots were cracking in the streets behind, but Koch could hear the reassuring rumble of tank engines.
Suddenly, two men burst forth from the crowds, making a beeline, so it seemed, for the general. The policemen made little effort to stop them. One of them had a weapon. Koch raised his sidearm and shot the man in the head. There was a scream of panic in the crowd. The second men yelped and started to run away. Steppermann pushed the terrified police officer out of the way, levelled his carbine, and fired a three-round burst into the man's back. An eerie silence fell over the plaza.
"Anyone else?!" roared Koch. Behind him was the threatening chink of actions being cocked, as his men took aim. The crowd began to melt away. Koch strode past Steppermann and to the police officer.
"If you don't have anymore surprises, let's get in this building."

Hubert tried his best not to cry infront of the soldiers: it was a sign of weakness, and now was not the time for anything like such emotion. He had a job to do. Get these soldiers through to the Committee, and keep them from harming the citizens. The two men already killed were his relatives. He could have well calmed them down. Today has been lot for everyone.
As they got into the main foyer, his heart almost burst, and he reeled back. He calmed himself own, and looked up to the well built General. There had already been a mall skirmish here. Some of the Guards were tied up against one of the walls, and some of the walls were broken. And the door.... The committee door was wide open.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coltrane hadn't long to go before the computer might explode, when he reached the first soldiers. He did not hesitate to raise his hands into the air. Even if he did decide to fight, and he did win, he wouldn't last long outside. He deduced that the whole infrastructure was being ready to be blown apart.
"Hey, look. I'm on you side. The doctor down there? He made those clones you were fighting. He was long dead before I could reach him; but I went down nonetheless to destroy his computer. The cloning process should stop by now. His files are safe in my jacket if you want them".
Then, as he finished, the cloning process had indeed stopped, just as a huge bulk of another wave was almost ready. The water boiled inside the tubes, killing off the dire monstrosities.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Lupii and his men connected to the wide broadcasting feeds. All acroos the Urscreenhere cities, screens that were still alive were brought back to life. The audio-amplifiers in the streets turned on.
Around the square, all the civilians came to a silent hush. Not a whisper was told.
"Hello there, People of Urscreenhere. And hello there, Koewnitzian troops. everyone, remain calm. It has come to my attention that rebels not indeginous exactly to our country, nor to the Koenwitzians, have created a communication-fault. These rebels will be dealt with in due time.
However, we look for peace. I ask you, Koenwitzian leaders, to accept a possible treaty between both our kinds... And do not be disayed. this will all sort out soon enough."

"Officer, what's going on here?" asked General Koch. The man was on the verge of tears. Koch pushed him aside and strode forward into the hall. As he did, a hand grenade came rolling from the committee chamber.
"COVER!"
----------
"Sir?"
Private Janczek of the 3rd Jaeger looked up at his Sergeant. The unit was clearing out the cloning factory. Terrible noises were emanting from within. The civilian kept wandering towards them.
"Sir!?"
The Sergeant scratched his chin.
"I don't like it. Shoot him."
The Private raised his rifle and fired. The man reeled and collapsed onto his back. The Sergeant wandered over, drew his sidearm, and fired into the body. He then withdrew the papers from the man's pocket, flicked through them, and tossed them into a pile of burning rubble.

Colonel-General Kaen, leader of the 2nd KEF, watched Lupii's broadcast on the edge of Dorchester. He shook his head.
"They don't get it. Get his man on the horn."

[ ooc: I'll be gone from 4-12th. I might be able to get through between those dates, but assume that I can't reply. I'm on Holiday.... That means Lupii cannot be attacked, since Koenwitzian forces don't know where he is. Therefore, if You wish to continue, attack as you may. Bt you will not find Lupii just yet. Also, all other resistance has been quelled. the only other thing you have to worry about is the Rebels. ]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hubert hid as best he could from the incoming grenades, but the guards who were once tied up, had soon become torn wreaks of flesh, yellow and green cloth, and plastic.
The two following grenades were not fragment grenades, however, as they looked different. When the first exploded, it let out a gigantic green liquid, that at first burnt through anything it touched, and then became a sticky solid substance. Hubert got some of this on his shoe, a splatter as the second acid-grenade cam over. His boot steamed, as the plastic-leather burnt and melted around his toes. It had just hardened as it settled on his skin. He tried to get the boot off, but couldn't. When the second grenade burst he dived for cover. Landing, his bot tore off with some of his skin. His foot was now a glimmering sheen of red. He didn't yelp, though. He woudn't want to intefer with the invaders' plans.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Koenwitzian communications couldn't get a direct response from Lupii, and couldn't trace the signal. It seemed to be coming from all points in three cities, including the surrounding towns. From the houses and apartments, to the Television stations and governmental buildings.
However, Lupii did indeed send a reply. Not long after the commnications had looked to tag him, had he forwaded to them:
"Dear Koenwitz, it would appear that you would like to contact us. If tihs ids indeed to sign the treaty, send your delegate to the Bahamas Cafe. You may secure the area, but leave enough space for a care to travel through. That car will pick up the delegate - and there is only one person for that action, which I leave up to you - and bring him trough five location. Do not follow the car, whatsoever. The delegate will not be harmed, as long as he or she does not carry a waesapon; inside the cafe, there are civilian clothes.
We woll ask the questions to the delegate, nd he or she may answer.
If you do not follow these, or make a stubborn action that results in heavy civilian casualties, then an explosion will occur. There are 350,000,000 different explosives set.
That is all"
And with that, all communication from Lupii ad been shut off again. Lupii had become know as no-where man, as just as that was broad-casted, a similar video was broadcasted to all the civilians. Lupii had become a Martyr, now.

OOC: I'll leave this reply and wait for you to get back to me. In the meantime Koenwitizian troops will continue small-scale patrol actions accross the country, assuming victory (even if it is yet to be achieved)
Colonel Koch staggered to his feet. Shards of shrapnel were sticking out of right arm. It hurt like hell. One of his men was dead, splattered all over the walls. A squad of airborne troops had burst into the committee chamber and he could hear automatic weapons fire. Koch staggered over to the policeman.
"What the hell was that?"
"I...I don't know." The man was badly wounded, and terrified.
"WHAT WAS THAT!?"
"I DON'T KNOW!"
"I'm sick of you people." Koch raised his sidearm and shot the cop in the head. He then struggled into the committee chamber. The squad were standing around, weapons at their sides. The killing had already been done. What had counted as the government of Urscreenhere was reduced to steaming piles of giblets, pieces of corpse and horribly mutilated bodies. Koch holstered his sidearm and got out a cigarette.
"Get Koenburg on the horn. Tell 'em Dorchester is ours."
-------------------------
"Who does this Lupii guy think he is?" Andreas Kaen smirked. "Who gives a shit if he detonates half the country? We've done that already. Still, arrange the meeting. Let's see what we can get out of it."

Five clones - each exactly the same as the other, in their appearing and dress-code according to the yellow shirt and trousers with green stripes were debating over oranges and apples when the first Koenwitz tdrucks, vans and tanks appeared. "Looks like they've arrived, eh number two?" on clone directed to the other. Thew all got up in unison, and number two stepped outside to the invading troops.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hubert may have been shot in the head, but he wasn't dead yet. He couldn't believe what had just happened. And although he could barely move, he put all his strength to standing up, picking up a dead rebels' AK-47; And on his last dying minutes he ra u into the committee room, guns blazing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Miles below the surface, a man in shadows smiled, his features scared and mutilated. On his left was Lupii, who was ironically on a dog-leash. Ont the other side was a perfected clone. No longer human, the clone had no mouth, nose, hair or reproductive organs. For such in a clone was unnecessary.
Instead, sharp claw-lie features protruded from it eck, arms, elbows and shoulders.
The Shadow spoke, it's voice muffled and croaky, "Lupii, my boy, give the koenwitz a present for our appreciation of the services, will you?" Lupii was loosened from the rope, and left the room.

General Koch was surprised by the shout behind him. He wheeled round in time to see the cop, blood streaming from the wound in his cheek, charging into the committee room, firing an AK-47 from the hip. Koch reached for his holster, but a burst of rounds shattered his arm. He collapsed back in pain. One of his airborne troopers put an end to the cop's life with a shotgun shell to the head. The decapitated corpse collapsed onto the bloodsoaked marble floor with a thud.
Koch gripped his arm and swore.
"God-damn it! Get me a fucking medic!"

Colonel Krintz, commanding the 4th Mechanized Infantry Company, stood nervously on the bonnet of his truck and watched as a crowd of identical-faced people gathered around his convoy.
"People of Urscreenhere! My name is Colonel Krintz! I am now the governor of this area! Your government has surrendered unconditionally to us! The People's Republic of Urscreenhere is no more! You are now in the Koenwitzian province of Kaenland! We will take good care of you! You needn't worry about your jobs, or the safety of your families! So long as you do not interfere with my authority, you will live in peace as you did before this unfortuante war! Now, go to your homes and remain there! For the next week, we must instigate martial law. All civilians must be indoors by 8pm. Anyone found outside will be shot! We do not want this to happen! Welcome to your new future!"
-------------
Major-General Joachim Meyer, hero of the Boico Deployment, stepped into Bahamas Cafe in Abermurphy. The town still echoed with rifle fire, as Koenwitzian troops cleared out the last of the resistance. Meyer and his entourage had been sent to meet with this Lupii fellow. No-one knew who he was, who he represented, whether he held any real power. Meyer walked up to a table, wiped the debris off, and sat down.
"Well, this looks like it was a waste of time." He sighed, took off his Jaeger cap and rested his rifle on the table.
"Are you the Koenwitzian delegate?"
Meyer's head shot up. The voice came from behind the serving counter.
"Yes. Who are you? Show yourself!" Meyer's men aimed their weapons.
"There is no need for that." Lupii stepped out into the light, and walked over to sit on the chair next to Meyer.

The Citizens of Dorchester hurried of to their homes as sensibly as they could. Their faces were drought and heavy, a darker shade of grey to the ruins around them. It was if their very souls had been taken from them; that they had nothing to live for, anymore.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lupii stepped forward. The four other clones were completely identical to him. the second clone opened a back-door.
"If you wish your country to live, please. Follow me this way. Only one of you may come with us. You who will come, leave your weapons behind. The moment any Koenwitzian fires on us, we will blow up a building. If ay of us die, we blow up a Koenwitz building. But worst of all, you kill our people, and we kill yours.
Don not underestimate the fire of a new-borne dragon. If you follow our vehicles, or try to track us down, we will blow up your tanks. We will return here in ten hours Time to choose, brothers: which of you would come?"
Two of the clones went to the back entrance, while another one went to the front door.

One of General Meyer's bodyguards, Corporal Stoltz stepped forward.
"I will go."
Meyer held up his hand.
"Nice try, Freidrich. I'm the one they want."
Getting up from his chair, Meyer prepared to follow Lupii.
"Mein Herr, I would warn you against making threats against my country and its army. We are in control of Urscreenhere now. If there are any terrorist outrages either here or in Koenwitz - especially in Koenwitz - then it will be your people who pay."
Meyer placed his hand on his sidearm.
"Furthermore, I refuse to leave without my sidearm. I have no intention of using it, that is, unless you intend mischief." He looked over his shoulder and signalled to his men. They walked out of the entrance and clambered into their Jeep, gunning the engine.
"Shall we?"

ENCRYPTED MILITARY TRANSMISSION
To: Grande-General Ryan Miller, Officer Commanding, VDB Expeditionary Force
We welcome your arrival in Urscreenhere. Currently full-scale military operations are winding down. The Urscreenian field armies have been comprehensively defeated and all major population centres are now under our control. However, as you have noted, there is currently an unconfirmed insurgency threat which we wish to eliminate before it has an opportunity to grow.
We thank you for your offer to send a delegate to meet with (what we assume) is the rebel leader. However, we have already sent one of our own men to meet with this "Lupii". We would appreciate it, however, if some of your covert operation commandos could keep an eye on him. We have placed a very small tracker device on his person, as we have been instructed not to follow him. If your commandos could keep watch on where he is taken, this may help bring the insurgency to an end. If they are fired upon, or feel the need to engage the enemy, they have full authorisation to do so.
At this point let me state the current rules of engagement which your forces must follow while in-country:
1. You may engage enemy forces anytime you see fit, irrespective if the enemy fires first.
2. You are permitted to carry out field courts-martials and other tribunals on civilians or military personnel who are suspected of firing on your troops, and to carry out any judgements you see fit.
3. You are permitted to search and destroy
4. You are permitted to carry out any operations that you see fit, no matter the scale, providing they are approved and observed by Koenwitzian troops.
5. VDB troops must be willing to serve under Koenwitzian command
6. VDB expeditionary troops may call upon Koenwitzian assistance if required, and vice versa in the following cases
a) Medical Evacuation
b) Airstrikes
c) Armoured support
d) Relief columns, whether ground or airborne
e) Heliborne evacuation
7. The VDB E.F. is permitted to leave Urscreenhere at any time it chooses, providing that its departure will not severely affect the military situation in the country.
8. VDB troops are not permitted to interfere in the conduct of Koenwitzian operations in Urscreenhere, though they may make objections to the command if they feel it necessary.
Once the country has finally been subdued, we feel that you do not need to maintain such a large military force in Urscreenhere. If you would be willing to leave behind a peacekeeping force of, say, 100,000 troops, this would be acceptable. As for deploying a force of up to 1 million troops, I think that your current committment of 500,000 is more than adequate. However, this is dependant upon the developing insurgency situation.
Once again, we warmly welcome you and your forces to Urscreenhere and offer our sincerest thanks for your help in this difficult operation.
Sincerely,
Colonel-General Andreas Kaen
Officer Commanding
2nd Koenwitz Expeditionary Force

The first Clone steeped forward, showing his face. He, too, looked exactly like Lupii. The six Lupiis’ grouped together, and greeted Meyer, “Hello there, Officer”. The Lupii’s took no more time on their insitgaton. The first two went to guard the door, and two others went out the back. The last two led Meyer outside to the back entrance, where there was a tight alley ay, and three cars, with the usual yellow coating and green stripes of the Police forces, but also able and white streak on the hood and bonnet. Meyers was led into the middle Car. Inside, the wood was breaking apart, and the plastics were tearing off at the seas. Obviously, these cars were very old, or just not taken care of enough.
“The car ahead of us is just an illusion. The drive will go out one of the exits to meet with the soldiers. We have your clone inside there, so they can believe that that’s you. Please, don’t be offended. This is merely another precaution for ours - and your - safety. You see, we id not instigate this offensive, as I’m sure neither did the Koenwitz”, Lupii went on, as the cars started to sped down the alleyway, “Rather, it would appear that a joint operations between Koenwitzian and Urh teenagers has sprung a leak into our communications, ratifying us and displeasing you. The Lump-heads that was once our committee hadn’t realised until it was too late. Te damn fools”
The cars were now at full speed, and the alleyway was getting taller, as it impeded further towards the city centre, “If we didn’t take these precautions, I’m afraid both our youth’s would try to kill both you and e. They’d believe they’d hit two birds with one stone. All they’d do is make the Mommy and Daddy hawks angry.”
The car was now approaching a dead end., but it was too late for Meyers to realise this. By now the alleyway had shrunk to such an extent, that I would be impossible to escape alive from, if the car hit the far wall. Yet all of the Lupii’s remained utterly calm. “Don’t panc, we’re nearly there”, one of the cloes called out over the roar of the engine
Just as the cars were about to hit the wall, it disappeared into thin air. “Hologram. I’m sure you’ve seen them in those science-fiction movies you probably have in Koenwitz. After cloning was legalised, our scientists were quite free to experiment with other technologies. Holographic projections is just one of them. Another s still being experimented on. The Fool’s car back there s run on just water alone, but we don’t know how long that’ll last”
The tunnel was opening wider, and revealed more tunnels. As they went further and further down, the slope began to steep, the tunnels became ore intrinsically advanced. The lighting got better, and the walls turned from solid rock, into solid metals.
The car was approaching some darkness ahead. , where the tunnels returned to rock again. The car came to a halt after a while. Lupii stepped out of the car, telling eer and the others to wait here. Not a moment later, The light came on to a massive vault door. It opened, sliding down to the floors, and into the walls. It looked like it was twenty feet thick.
Behind Lupii, some strange naked figures appeared. They had no reproductive organs, but rather held massive claws that extended from their elbows and shoulders. They also had no moths, ears or noses. And their eyes were so tight up, you’d hardly believe that they could see anything.
Lupii got into the car again, and drove through the gate. Ahead of them, there as a massive cave, with bright lights shining up. As hey got even closer, Meyers could see that the cave was almost a world in itself. There was an old ruin beset by technologically advanced structures, such a entwinement of old and new. The older buildings almost looked like some temple of sorts, but the drop was the most magnificent of all. It must’ve been a three mile drop down to the Cave’s surface, and another half a mile off to the ceiling.
Here was massive stone and metal pillars that held up a tram-line. The tram itself was very protected, in that there was only two windows either side, coated in some certain see-through metal, and it was covered in layers of rock, not too dissimilar from the cave’s surface.
As the cars came to a final halt, the clones stepped out, and filled into two lines ahead of the Tram’s door. Lupii greeted Meyers again, showing that he was to enter the Tram. Besides, y now it would be impossible to escape, as the very thick doors ad closed in, and the only other way, was down to his own death.
“Let’s begin our second journey, shall we?”

Meyer had sat for most of the journey open mouthed. His stomach churned at the sight of the hideously disfigured clones. Now he knew why he distrusted technology. Working on an iron rifle, that was one thing, but this...despite his secular tendencies, he thought it sacreligious.
These people were staggeringly advanced, far from being the savages that they had always been portrayed. Yet, this technology was dangerous. If anything, it strengthened Meyer's desire to see the country destroyed.
Meyer tentaively followed Lupii, placing his hand on his holster to try and reassure himself.
--------------
Meanwhile, on the ground above, the Armies of Koenwitz and VDB were completing the occupation of Urscreenhere. The major cities had been largely subdued, but there were troubling reports coming from the countryside. Colonel-General Kaen, Supreme Allied Commander in Urscreenhere, sat in the back of his T-69 and scratched his head.
"They found what?"
"More clones, sir. Except, this time, they said they had no mouths, and they moved like leopards, leaping about. Scared the shit out of my men, sir"
Kaen was talking to a grizzled sergeant from the 5th Jaeger Division. The man had more medals than he knew what to do with.
"If you ask me, sir, these fucking people should all be shot. This is just fucking hideous."
"Now you see why we banned it." Kaen looked up from the report resting on his lap and smiled widely. "Don't worry Sergeant, Major-General Meyer has everything in hand. Soon, this war will be over, and you can rotate back to the world with your men."

Lupii led Meyers into the Tram. Just as the entered, the door closed, and they were off to a quick start. Outside, Meyers could see a bustling hidden city, some buildings appearing like exact replicas to some of the Dorchester structures, including the City Hall and Cafe.
It was another five minutes before they arrived at the other station. Meyers was let out, while two of the clones stayed behind on the tram as it made a return visit. This staion too was an exact replica of the one before it. There was five gaurds awaiting their arrival. These did not appear to bwe clones, however.
Meyers was led through another grand door, past worksation terminals and some command posts to a steel door. Led through, the door slammed closed. It was a cold orridoor, and gas and steam rose from the floors. The steam gradually increased, but by the time Meyers had noticed, it was too late. Even if he could reach his Holster, he was to weak. He ell to an elegant sleep
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The three clones and several guards led Meyers through a wall access - that was a hologram - and stripped him of his clothes and weapon, ad checked him. Finally, with tracking devices, they found the tracking device, and implanted it on someone who looked exactly like Meyers. Meyers' clone stepped into Meyers' clothing and took his gun and holster. The tracking device was implanted on him. This was just another precaution. The nine other Meyer clones stepped through, and got the real Meyers dressed into the same clothing as his. The got the dormant body off to another room, where he was sent off to a completely separate building.
By the Time Meyers woke up, he was surrounded by his identcals, wearing the same police outfit as them. The table and chair infront of him was holstered dow, and before him was Lupii, dressed in black, "Please, sit down" they all said in unison.

[ ooc: I mean to refer not only to that post, but also my one before that too, just in case you missed it: POST 39. It details Meyers' journey to Lupii... But is he the real Lupii, or is he just another clone?]
The Meyer Clones stepped down from their positions, turning on the real Meyers, "we want to know why you invaded us", "Why did you kill off so much of our peoples?", "why give war to us? give us more time?". eyers was bombarded with questions from the Meyers clones. With a clap from lupii's hands, the subdued ad returned to their positions.
"And why, of all things... why invade us? what have we don to deserve this?", Lupii called out profusely. He might not have shouted, but his tone shown he was infuriated. He breathed out hoarsely, calming down.
"can't we just discuss pace and belonging?", he asked, "can't your leaders see we only indended peace? that we only attacked back because we've never had to fend off for ourselves, before??"

OOC: Right....I think. I have read all your posts you know. Even if it might not seem like it sometimes...:(
IC:
Meyer straightened in his seat. The sickness in his belly had given way to fire.
"Your government supported the pro-Royalist, pro-democratic elements in our society. In other words, the immoral elements. For five years you did nothing as we slaughtered ourselves in a civil war. Now, as we establish peace, you seem to want to rekindle that war. The government wanted to stop that from happening."
Meyer bit his parched lips. His voice was faltering, throat badly dehydrated.
"And when we invade, what do we find? The most hideous technologies imaginable! Cloning! Look at this!" He waved his hand at his clones. "This is not natural! This is leading humanity down the path of destruction. If anything, since invading, we have proven that your country needs to be controlled. Koenwitz will provide that control. If our methods seemed harsh, well, they were supposed to be. The Army of Koenwitz is the pride of this region. They destroy their enemies."
Meyer coughed. He was struggling.
"If your leaders intended peace, they had a funny way of showing it. Koenwitz can never belong with a nation of cloned freaks and monsters. Nor can any nation. I question your motives." Meyer waggled a finger at Lupii. "You talk of peace, but I think there is something far darker in your motive for bringing me here..."
Meyer shuddered as more coughs rippled through his body. In the background, his clones muttered to each other.
---------
On the surface, things seemed to be progressing well. The Allied forces were blissfully unaware of what was happening to Meyer, of the clone army. As far as they were concerned, the war was over. VDB patrols were securing the northern regions, Koenwitzians to the south. The people seemed restive, but otherwise willing to follow the demands of the Allied troops.
Colonel-General Kaen was standing in the old cathedral in Dorchester, marvelling at the view. He stood ramrod-straight, a conquering hero.
"This could be the beginning of a great new era for us, you know" he said, talking over his shoulder to General Koch, arm still bandaged from the ambush in the Committee Room.
"If you say so, Herr General."
"You don't think so?"
"I don't like it here, Herr General. We did what we came to do - remove the government. We didn't come here to start an empire."
Kaen smirked.
"Didn't we?"
In the distance, dark thunderclouds were gathering. Rain started to fall on the ruins of the city, as armoured vehicles rumbled along the streets.

Where General Koch and Colonel-General Kaen were, a messenger rushed into the room. "General Andrei Zyzuin would like to arrange a meeting to discuss tactics for erradicating these... rats. He requests you meet in his room, unless you have something better, in ten minutes." The messenger stayed, just in case Koch and Kaen decided to send a message back.

[ OOC: Try not to judge some of this to Harsly. It may be violent, but most of it is based on your previous actions taken. If you want any changes, just ask ]
The Lupii in black stretched back from the table, arching the chair back slightly. He tried to force a smile, but his sadness shone through like light drowning darkness.
"Had you seen the Things I saw, Meyers", Lupii went on, "You would more than lkely to find yourself in my position, too. Unless you are really a monster like Colonel-General Kaen. That's right, we now know of your countries hidden agendas. Philip, put log 56345719 onto the screen". As Lupii said this, the clone Philip typed in the code, calling out the numbers silently as he did so.
Up on the wall behind Lupii came up a screen, inside what appeared to be a Cathederal, or church. Indeed, Kaen, could be seen, along with other Koenwitzian soldiers.
"Ill be frank with you, Meyers. What you indeed said is somewhat true. Unknown to all the citizens, including me, was that there was a city hidden from everyone else A primary government, if you will. The government you thought you overthrown was merely as puppet. A disguise to veil both you and my eyes" Lupiis eyes were crying now. The video was rewinding as he went on, as steams of tears began to form down his cheeks.
"My people of lost. It would appear you have won"
The screen digitized itself to a larger state, and a separate screen focused on Kaen's face, and i played out:
"This could be the beginning of a great new era for us, you know"
"If you say so, Herr General."
"You don't think so?"
"I don't like it here, Herr General. We did what we came to do - remove the government. We didn't come here to start an empire."
"Didn't we?"
Meanwhile, other screen began to appear. Lupii stood up violently, looking up at them as his jaw began to tremble, as he struggled to keep his emotions at bay. Before Meyers had realized it, the clones were already gone. Lupii slammed a panel, and the doors locked. He hit another one, and the panels began to disappear, but more came up faster, something not even he was in control of.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
In a dark alleyway, two Koenwitzian troops struggled to hold off a teenager in the darkness. In his hand was a loaf of bread, in the other a bag of groceries. He looked shocked, as if he didn't realize that the war had begun, or that it was ever over. In his struggle, an infruriated soldier pulled out his pistol, and shot the boy straight in the head. Lupii tried to hide from the boy's cries.
A house was falling apart, from the beams. None of the Koenwitzian troops nearby looked interested. Some of them were playing with a deck of cards. The citizens inside tried to escape, but the children upstairs could not escape. Te beam came asunder, and the mother tried to call for the troops to help. With no reply, she rushed to them, anger in her eyes.
She dropped to her feet as a trooper shot her blink in the head, thinking of her as an attacker, yet in her hand was a white towel, asking for surrender
A group of children are in a burning field, running from a trooper. The trooper may not know that they're children, but shoots them nonetheless. One of the children appears, and he sees for certainty that its a child. Without remorse, he shoots on sight. Three other children flee from him. None of the children look the same.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As the images passed by, he could see the were not just clones. They were individuals. He could also hear Lupii muttering in his torment, "They're individuals. they're free" over and over again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
A final scene played out. A policeman - already dead, sees that the troops attempt on the killer clones are useless. He goes in, tired and weak. He fends off the clones, and heads to the Doctor in charge, and kills him. He then grabs the plans, some of them showing - Meyers noticed - how the doctor was planning a massive kill on the citizens anyway, claiming not enough were clones. Some others shown newspaper cuts, of his competitor, Lupii. How Lupii cured twenty-eight strains of cancer, and was able to convince the government to slow down the cloning process, claiming that individuality and actual humanity is important. How Lupii saved Humanity from so many diseases, and how he also prevented extensive cloning from creating better diseases. One document, though, caught Meyers' attention. It shows pans for the super clones he saw before.
Then the policemen grabbed the papers all up, fending of the other clones with a single fist. Courageously, he approached the Koenwitzians.... only to be shot. The Image got lost among so many billions, filling the room.
Then just as Lupii thought it was just a good day to die, ti stopped, and rewound so fast, that it must've taken twenty koenwitzian super-computers to comply with the same task.
The door slammed several times, allowing for Meyers and Lupii to return to their world, deep down the surface, Miles away from home.
The door slammed open, and in stood a great Demon; hardly Human anymore. His voice was barely recognizable.
"Time's up, Lupii. Convince him now, or half of both your countries can go... BOOM!"

OOC: That's fine, but this is starting to really get into Sci-Fi territory. Remember this is set in the modern, technological period. Theoretically such things as demons don't exist.
IC:
Meyer didn't quite believe what he was seeing. Some of the shootings he could understand, but others...this had to be staged. No Koenwitzian soldier would kill in such a barbaric, remorseless fashion.
The horrifically mutilated clone breathed noisily, staring angrily into Lupii's face. It's huge bemuscled arms were covered in weeping sores. Meyer reached for his sidearm. It wasn't there. Shit. He leaned forward.
"We can help you, kamerad. This, this cannot be real, our government would never allow it."
The clone reached out and picked up Meyer by the throat.
"Whatever you say to him, you say to me!" it roared.

One of the mutilated creatures tugged at the Demon, as if to say now is not the time.
The Demon let go of Meyers, and dragged Lupii out of the room with ease.
Fo a good while, Meers was all alone, until some of the freakish clones stepped in. One of them had more hands than claws, and held Meyers p, taking him off through corridors that had hideous emblems inscribed onto the surfaces. Some of the emblems looked more recent, and more hideous.

Austin Vaulterberg scrambled out of the runs of his home. He tried to help his sister out, but it was no use. that part of the ceiling as seemingly indestructible. He had to get help, even if it was from these invaders. his two other brothers were killed in the first raids; he was certain of it, even if there was no news of their actual survival. LittLe did Thirteen year old Austin know that his house was one of the first Dorchester streets primed by the Demon to go off.
Even though there were plenty of troops nearby that he could rush to aid for, he still couldn't find himself to be able to look into his heart to really trust them. So, he went off towards the next street, Holly view Avenue, to try and enlist the help of the local foresters and lumbermen, since they surely would have more than the strength. He tried to hide as much as he could, since he had been told by a trooper esrlier to warn his family not to leave their homes. But if he did not hurry, his home would crush his family.

Meyers was brought into a stately room that looked like a dental office: it was the most pristine room. Lying on the patient's chair was a heavily bruised Lupii. Behind Meyers the door locked shut.

"Excellent. I'd like your troops to take over patrols in the north of the country, above the line of the Constitution River. I want no-holds-barred operations, no messing about. Keep a tight lid on this thing. International news tends to blow these kinds of operation out of all proportion, the last thing we want is claims of war crimes..."
Kaen paused. The smirk vanished.
"...what they don't know won't hurt them."
Shaking the Prince's hand, Kaen turned around and headed back for his HQ. Outside, explosions were beginning to bloom across the night sky.
------------
Meyer was tired, nervous, shaken, but most of all, fed up. He felt as if he was wandering in a dream. None of it seemed real.
He walked up to the chair that contained Lupii's broken body. The man was virtually dead. Assuming it was the real one. Meyer couldn't tell any more. He pressed his finger against the vein in Lupii's bloodstained wrist. The pulse was very low. Without hesitating, Meyer wandered around the chair, placed his hands around Lupii's neck, and twisted. It snapped like a sodden twig. Lupii slumped and exhaled. Meyer started to rifle through his bloodstained pockets.

The vehicle sped off in the silvery night. The messenger's twisted body oozed blood onto the rubble-strewn street.

The blew up the Prison, and he had got her out. He found the pills at an abandoned chemist - he didn't bother asking those crazees why.

The silver car slammed into the side of a Pz-68 medium tank. The crew felt a violent jolt as the thin machine crumpled against its strong steel sides. Soldiers were quickly on the scene. The bodies were mangled, almost every bone broken.
"Why the hell did that happen?" asked the tank commander, scratching his head.
"Who gives a fuck?" said the driver, as he closed his hatch and moved the machine forward to cover the road.
--------------------
As Meyer stowed the items in his bloodied uniform, the door to the room slowly clanked open. Meyer lept against the wall as a clone guard came in. It had clawed hands and made a horrible sucking noise as it breathed. Meyer whipped behind it, and wrapped one of the wires around what he thought was its neck. The creature let out a bloodcurdling scream and tried to claw at Meyer. One of its hands slashed his leg. Cursing, Meyer twisted the wire tightly and felt the creature go limp. He turned around and sped through the open door, as an alarm boomed throughout the facility.

Everythingf was silent... too Silent...

Far off from Meyers position, the Lupii clones overlooked several computers Each one was off a different Camera viewpoint on Meyers, chasing his positioning on Maps. They wore black clothes, with white and green stripes.
"Should we release the Ach'tai?" asked one of the clones.
"No", said a deep voice calmly. "Let him go. ut for Lupii's betrayal, blow charges three to fourteen".
Casually, without even nodding, the clones gave the order over small commands.

"It's still not Working!", yelled the Rebel Luitenant. So far three sections of their incursion team had been eliminated. She was certain that they were to be next. Her comrades downstairs were holding off a small catchment of the Koenwitz troops, survivors from a crash in one of the forests nearby.
It would only be a matter of time until they would take the inner buildings. They had already taken the compound; Most of the militarist-rebels were Deserters or Artists from he surrounding countries and enclaves, including Koenwitz and Urscreenhere itself. She defied the teams use of weaponry, preferring the technological advancements that they could steal - indeed, have stolen - from the Dorchestrians.
"Well get it fixed, then!!". The Rebel leader was infuriated. They had planned this operation for two whole years. And in a matter of hours, all that work could go to waste. He despised the idea that his lieutenant had linked the explosives to an insecure network as this.
"Carges fifteen to seventeen are timed o go off! Oh sh--". But it was too late.
The Rebels had left a last explosive in their compound, only to detonate as last precaution, but v]even she - in her millisecond death - knew he'd never ave the guts to.
The whole compound blew into pieces, tearing up the nearest forest in half; and incurring a avalanche from the overlooking cliffs. By the time the dust and smoke had finally settled, there was no sign, no physical recollection that the land would have of the Compound.

All around the Country of urscreenhere, the electricity shut down. All the street light, gas pipes, and water control broke down. Even the emergency re-boots failed. All across Urscreenhere, the whole land faced a black-out.
he only thing now that the people of the land could o to for hope was the stars, gleaming through the deep night sky.

However, the deep underground was not affected. It maintained its energy through other means. Deep in its intertwined corridors, laughing could be heard, bellowing from the deep. As Meyers was running - the steam now reaching his knees - he too began to hear the distant Hysteria, a cry so horrid, that it could no longer be seen as anything of this earth.

"Chrrrrrrrrrrrist!"
In the K.E.F. headquarters, telephones were ringing loudly and computers beeping. It seemed to Colonel-General Kaen that half the country had just exploded.
"Looks as if these sons-of-bitches weren't lying" he said, scratching his chin pensively.
Kaen's aide appeared at his side, holding a sheet of paper.
"Damage assessment, sir"
"Go on."
"All power in the country is gone. Several of the smaller tributaries have been polluted by the debris. About 10,000 buidlings have been destroyed. A large defence compound in the eastern woods was attacked and destroyed by URS rebels."
"Military casualties?"
"340 killed wounded and missing. Civilian losses..."
"Not important." Kaen waved his hand. "If these people want to destroy their own country, let them, it'll make things a lot easier."
"Easier?"
Kaen stroked his chin. "Get all units on immediate readiness to move."
-----------
Meyer awoke, felt hands lifting him clear.
"Herr General? Herr General Meyer, can you hear me?"
Meyer couldn't speak. He was a limp vessel. The voices became more muffled. He felt himself being lifted into vehicle, the slam of doors. He passed out again.

Long before Meyers was released, before he had met the bruised Lupii; A meyers Clone as released. He wore his uniform, and was able to recollect anything Meyers knew himself; even down to his deepest darkest secrets. He had been able to avoid the sight of most of the troops. His prime objective was Colonel-General Kaen.
He ran up to Kaen as fast as he could. He was holding a pack of CDs.
Just as Kaen turned around; a sniper - another clone, this time of one of the now dead URSK Rebels - took a shot at his back. The round held a magnesium core, and a small explosive.
To Kaen, nothing was left of Meyers. First he was there, the next thing *poof*, he was gone. Only his blood soaked their uniforms, and his torn uniform laid in heaps on the ground.
Before anyone could get to the sniper. he pulled a third trigger on the rifle, killing him and all the fine evidence of his existence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Far from the Country of Urscreenhere, one of the Koenwitzian Barracks exploded. The detonation was underground, so the debris fell lik icy shards from the sky. What was once the training grounds for the invading troops, was now a smoldering ruin.

"Dammit, Meyer was a good man. Can my bodyguard KEEP A BETTER FUCKING WATCH NEXT TIME!"
His aide, soaked in blood himself, returned to his general.
"Herr General Kaen, a scout team from the 2nd Jaeger say they have found General Meyer. They say he is badly shook up. They also say they have found an entrance to an underground complex of some kind."
Kaen frowned.
"Wha..."
The telephone in the headquarters rung suddenly. It made the bloodsoaked general leap. He gingerly picked up the reciever. It was his father.
"Andreas, you slovenly son of a bitch! What the hell is going on out there? We've just had a massive terrorist explosion at the Teufel Recruit Depot. At least 70 men killed, probably higher. Why are these sons of bitches able to attack us?"
Kaen stammered.
"Well, father, it must be..."
"I don't care what it is. I want it stopped. Round up every man woman and child in that goddamned country and shoot them all if you have to. I want this stopped! And to think I trusted you."
Field Marshal Kaen slammed down the reciever. His son swallowed, then turned to his aide.
"Tell 2nd Jaeger to exploit the tunnel, and get 4th Infantry and 2nd Armoured over to them."
"Very good, Herr General."
"And tell all other troops, including those VDB layabouts, that I want them on full alert. Arrest and kill any suspects."
"Very good."

"Hello, fair troops of Koenwitz. Notice anything different? Besides that We will have created an opening for expenditure of energy for the peopel of urscreenhere: For the next to weeks, everything shall seem delightful. in a months time, most of you will die from a horrible disease that I have personally made. Meyers came out with it and every-where in Koenwitz and Urscreenhere, when there is an explosion, there is this disease. If you do not comply within two weeks, we will have no choice but to set off every explosive; and keep the antidotes for ourselves. Good-day"
It was the same voice for the demon, and the horrid Laughing that had almost rotted Meyer's brain to the roots.
In a few hours, the same message would be transmitted all over between the two countries, over-riding the usual broadcasts.

OOC: I'm BAAAAACK!!! You guys can both starting posting when you want: the Vanek Drury Brieres troops don't yet have the virus, but if Koenwitz checks, anyone that visited the blast in their country has it, as do many of the soldiers who helped Meyers; including Meyers Himself. Oh, and anyone who was nearby the cloned eyers when he died will have it soon, too. i know this goes beyond real playing, and may be even be considered power-playing; but the underground dwellers are upset, so they've decided to release a strain of virus that they created long ago etc; which means that it's highly improbable that anyone else will find a cure within the time that the "demon" has given them. Then the uprisings began. Clones defined for work began to cover them in fine silks and cloths they were working on, whilst taking minin equipment for armr and weapons. They would not stand and let their people die. So the fought their way through throgh one of the lower tuneels, and began to ake their own escape. The Armed Republic of Koenwitz
Official Diplomatic Announcement
To Whom It May Concern,
The government of Koenwitz is pleased to announce the cessation of hostilities with the former nation of Urscreenhere. Following a very bitter anti-insurgency campaign, rebel forces have been effectively eliminated from the region, and the Urscreenian army and government have unconditionally surrendered to us. As of 18th October 2007, the People's Republic of Urscreenhere is disbanded, and is now the Meyerburg province of Western Koenwitz. Any attempt by any foreign nation to intervene in this province - whether by the landing of military forces or the support of any future rebel groups, will be regarded by Koenwitz as an act of war through unlawful intervention in its sovereign territory.
It is unfortunate that the situation deteriorated such that we were forced to intervene in what was Urscreenhere, but we now feel that the region is far more secure, and look forward to providing a safe, bright future for the peoples of this new province.
Respectfully,
Lieutenant-General Gehard Josch
Acting Chief Of Staff,
Foreign Department of the Armed Republic of Koenwitz
