Freikorps-Koenwitz: Now Recruting.

Koenwitz
24-06-2007, 03:03
Do you have a large group of ex-military personnel who cannot settle into civilian life? Or young rebels who seek adventure, but cannot stomach serving in your own military? Then the Freikorps-Koenwitz could be for them.

The Freikorps was established shortly after the cessation of the Great Patriotic War in 1991, with the aim of keeping the peace in the still-unruly eastern districts of Koenwitz. Eight years of bitter fighting followed, and there were many engagements where the Korps distinguished itself. However, by 1999, the government felt that there was no longer any need to have a paramilitary force in Koenwitz, and so the Freikorps was disbanded.

Our disastrous involvement in the Boicoian civil war has changed all this. Conflict is changing. The Army has had to change with it. Since June, the Freikorps has slowly been expanding, recalling its former officers and ex-serviceman back into the fold. Soon, we hope that the force will become a formidable asset which can be easily deployed abroad to help combat insurgencies, resolve civil wars and keep the peace in unsettled nations.

Recruits from your nation will be sent to the Freikorps training camp for a six-month course (or, if they can already prove military service of 5+ years, a two-month refresher course), upon completion of which they will be dispatched to one of our two foreign infantry brigades: the 1st/6th and 2nd/7th FCB. At this time, the command wish to keep Koenwitizan and foreign combat soldiers separate, but as time goes by we will certainly induct foreign members into one of the Freikorps' specialised combat brigades.

Every volunteer will have to serve a 5-year term and cannot leave their unit, irrespective of events at home or wars that their home country become involved in. Those men that serve out the full 5-year term are entitled to continue their service for as long as they can be useful to the Korps, or they are free to leave. They will also be granted citizenship in Koenwitz.

We enclose the recruit application form and declaration below and hope that this is of interest. The declaration MUST be signed either by the recruits or their representatives before they will be accepted.

DECLARATION
I do solemny swear that I choose freely to serve in Freikorps of Koenwitz of my own will. I accept that this may place me in great danger, and may cost me my life, but I am willing to accept these risks, to serve the cause and my comrades, and to keep myself fit and morally straight. I also accept that I will not be permitted to return home during my 5-year term of service. I will readily and without question follow any orders given to me by my officers, no matter what they might be.

By agreeing to serve in the Freikorps, I will give control of my rights and freedoms to the Koenwitzian government and the Army of Koenwitz. In the event of a war between Koenwitz and my nation, I accept that my safety may not be guaranteed, nor will I be permitted to leave my unit or return home.

Signed:
