The B-707 was en route to March AFB, the site of the party for the QCS, about John Macked's retirement, and John said on the PA system "30 minutes till landing, if you look on your left and right, you will see 4 F-4G Wild Weasel Phantom II's escorting us, it's not every day you see a F-4", meanwhile Jenny was serving drink's to the passenger's, and food, and said to Saya "What kind of drink would you like Saya?"

Ed leaned back, enjoying the luxury leather seats. It had been a long time since he had flown on anything but a military transport, and their semi padded seats did not even compare to the overstuffed leather seats. He opened the windo and saw several F4s flying outsid and chuckled. By Union standards, even F22s and f35s were outdated.

Mick looked on in awe. His nation had never even used F-4's before. Their quest for the latest and greatest left them deprived in many aspects, posterity being one of them.
He sipped his water and checked his watch.
"For a nonsupersonic airliner, we've made really good time."

Saya looked up at Jenny, "Oh, uhm.. I'd like a glass of red wine please, nothing very heavy".

Dagger-4 took another of his pills, he had to take them every few hours or they'd wear off. He had a special patch to administer the medication at night, so he wouldn't die in his sleep. He looked at the people around him. They were all in good spirits, Dagger-5 was still worried out of his mind, but 4 was sure he'd be fine. He asked Jenny for a shot glass of Saki. He admitted that it was the wrong method of drinking it yet again.

OOC: Why did it mark me as FC? Oh well...might be my last post for today folks.

OOC: Yeah, my time's running short too. In about half an hour I'm gone for a week of work. I'll be back next Saturday...

Mick's pager buzzed. Startled, he picked it up and checked the number.
It was Colonel Talbitt's. After the number the sequence 357OIYA followed it.
Reaching for his shoulder holster, Mick realized that 357 meant his .357. OIYA was a military abbreviation for 'or it's your ass'. He blushed, kicking himself for forgetting to return it to Talbitt. He hadn't even had a chance to get changed.

OOC: Much better

IC: Crispy looked out the window, observing the F4s in their flight patterns. He looked up to see General Lawrence start a hearty conversation with Mick, then looked over to see Ed ordering Bourbon. He sdat patiently, waiting for the drink cart to get to him.

Jenny smiled and gave Dag4 saki, and Saya red wine, and Mick ,water. and said to both "Here you go, my husband say's that the F-4's we use, are the F standard, meaning they have several upgrade's, plus, they've been good fighter's for as long as we've flown them. He's a phantom phanatic, and wanted to fly one before he retired." She sat at the front and said "Anybody ever seen one up close or flown one before?, oh and the Captain John Arnold say's that some headwind's have pushed back the arrival time by 6 minute's, but he say's were ontime still, nothing to worry about

Mick looked up at Jenny, "Good to hear. I've got a few questions about the F-4, but they can wait until after the ceremony. Sad to say I've only seen them in museums. Airshows in my country are only to show off our newest aircraft as well as those of our allies."
He turned to the General, "So sir, any big plans when you get back home? You mentioned the infantry?"

Saya looked around sipping at her wine. She hoped this party would be fun, she needed something to take her mind off of the present situation.

Crispy raised his hand. "I've flown an F4 before, good sturdy craft, if a bit outdated." And sat back and pulled out a silver pocket watch, he opened it, and the picture of him withhis parents right before he left for the academy nearl fell out. He quickly fit it back into the frame and snapped it shut. He wondered what his brother Felix would think of him now.

OOC: Got to someplace, again! Be right back in about an hour,anyone can RP as me.

"I've seen 'em good birds, big, tough as hell too."

He had been stationed on an airbase with an F4 squadron, several years before they were retired.

OOC: Ah, okay.

IC:

Off both wing's, 4 Mig 1.44 Flatpack's joined the F-4's, and John announced and said "These are what's going to replace the F-4's eventually, the leader of the pair off the right wing is the president of Calizorinstan, ah' here's the airfield..." He put the gear down and flap's and said "We're preparing to land, fasten every loose object." He landed the B-707 and taxied it to the Calizorinstan Air National Guard ramp, and slowly stopped it, and he turned it off, and opened the door, as airstair's rolled up, when the guest's got out, they'd see the hanger, with table's and chair's and a BBQ buffet line among the RF-4C's and Mig 1.42 Flatpack's in the hanger, and John, and Jenny got out to welcome the guests.

Mick stepped off, shaking John and Jenny's hands as he did so, "Excellent flight and service, thank you. And I have to say, though the food my people served was good, those burgers and dogs are the best thing I've ever seen."
OOC: Gotta go...be back later hopefully....

Saya got out of the jet, and looked around. She had never been to a big party before. This day was just full of firsts. She realised she didn't really know what to do now. She walked over to John, "Uhm, what now"? She asked him.

"Hi, could I get some vodka?"

Dagger-5 was still nervous, not about Jenny, but because he didn't want to make a fool of himself. He drank it slowly, enjoying it as best he could.

He looked over to Saya and then quickly glanced away. He had to find a way to stay cool.

John led Saya to a table in the hanger near the RF-4C's and said "Those are buffet line's and you serve yourself basically, we have food's from everybody's home country including ours."

Jenny smiled and said to Dag5 "Right this way hun, there's a beer and vodka cooler near the Mig 1.42 jet, it's blue, and the soda one's right next to it, and it's red."

Saya licked her lips, "Mmm, that looks delicious." She immeadiatly set about gathering all sorts of food, most of it she had never even heard of. She found herself a table with a bottle of wine, and all she needed.

Jenny sat down next to Saya and said "That 707 we just flew on is only for special occasion's, my husband and I usually fly on a Boeing 717 jet instead."

5 tried to focus on the jets, they were admittedly amazing, but he was still distracted by his lingering worries. 'what if I blow it, will I go back to my old ways? no, I can't do that, it'd be wrong to do that... then what.'

Dagger-4 had walked over by this point and was standing next to him.
"Well, aren't these MiG's amazing I mean, Shenyang is working on an upgrade package for em right now. These things can do anything, and I mean it."

"Is there a point to this?"

Dagger-4 whispered so no one else would hear him.
"These things are the best they can be, and so are you. Don't force it, or you'll do something foolish."

"Okay Dag4, I trust you."

"Amazing planes..."

OOC: I'm a MiG 1.44 fan myself, its a toss-up between them and the F/A-18F

John walked over to the Dagger's and knew they were admiring the Mig.144's and said smiling "They are a very nice handling fighter, and we expect that they will replace the F-4's."

OOC: Back

Ed got off the plane. "I need...the nearest bottle of Bourbon." Almost immideatly he was pointed in the direction of a cooler. He opened it up and pulled out a bottle of bourbon, not the biggest had had seen, but big enough. General Lawrence got off the plane and noticed that Dag 5 was looking nervous. He went over to him and handed him his flask. "This'll take your mind off thigs, don't drink to much though, Union Brandy is extremly strong." He then wlaked over to Crispy, wished him good luck on his date, then settled down to talk to Ed.

Saya looked up from her food at Jenny, "Oh? Whats the other one look like? Is it any different"?

OOC: I've always been a fan of the SU-35 and SU-47 myself. And this is my last post for the day.

"Nah, its okay, I'll be fine, keep it."

He managed to smile. He was starting to get over his anxiety now. It was still there, but he had found a way to deal with it. Thanks to some advice 4 had given him years before, about his meditative state, and how he found calm in it. 5 had finally learned what he meant by that, and he found himself reaching a shallow state, just deep enough to clear away his anxiety without affecting him otherwise.

Jenny smiled and pulled out a photo of the B717 that she flew her husband around and showed it to Saya:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Boeing-717-bwi.jpg "I mostly fly this one, he just ride's in it, it's a good flying airplane, yeah, I also fly the RF-4C's once and a while, for one of them is my personal jet appearently."

Saya shook her head, "Wow, whats it like to fly a plane? I never have. It must be great."

Jenny said "It's very fun, I most of the time fly the RF-4C, it's my private jet, the drop tank's are where I put my luggage, and the back seat too if I am not carrying my dear husband with me, but I have 4 AIM-120 missile's for self protection. And it's all paid for by the government. What would you say about a ride in it later tonight?, I've got a flightsuit your size and helmet and boot's."

Saya smiled, "Yeah, that'd be great, thanks. So, how did you meet John"?

Jenny smiled "It was by accident, I met him while he was off duty, right before he got on the plane to sign up for the QCS, and he saw me and we talked and eventually he became my boyfriend, and now my husband..., He's a very nice man, he's been in the military awhile, so that was a plus.."

She sighed, "I wish it was that easy for me. Its gotten all to confusing for me".

Jenny said "That's because you have three men courting you, ah here come's John!, hello babe!" John walked toward them with his plate, he had a hamburger, and orange chicken, and french frie's and grinned at Saya "We Calizorinstani's sure know how to throw a party eh?" He winked at Saya and said "I trust my wife told you about her personal fighter?"

Saya nodded, "Yep, and she even showed me a picture of it." She shook her head, "How'd you guys manage to get your own personaly fighter anyways"?

John said "Well, to make a long story short, I guess, they wanted the "Foreign Minister's wife" to have a impressive plane to fly around in, and seeing as how there's only two of us at present, they gave us one RF-4C fighter and a B717 transport plane to fly around in."

Saya laughed, "Boy, you guys must have one friendly government eh"?

Jenny said "It helps that the President was John's childhood friend growing up, and you've heard the story of our President's near assasination at the crazy ball in Hataria?"

Saya laughed, "Yep, I heard about that. Must of been fun sorting that out". She looked at John, "Wow, you're friends with the President"?

John smiled "He's my best friend, before he was president, he was a four-star admiral in the navy, he's fought several naval battle's, and he's broken out of harbor's of hostile nation's that attempted to detain him, ah here he is.." He motioned to President Jack Arnold to join them, who was in his Navy dress uniform for this occasion. President Arnold mopped his brow and smiled at Saya and said "Hello, I am President Jack R.Arnold, you are Saya I presume?"

Saya nodded nervously, "Uhm, yes. I'm Saya, pleased to meet you mister President."

President Arnold grinned and said "Ah, come on, you can call me Jack, Saya, could you tell me about the QCS's mission's, I might write a book about it."

Saya nodded, "Well, uhm, Jack, I don't really think theres anyway to really describe it. You sort of had to really be there."

Saya smiled, "Thank you sir. And yes, I suppose they do look great, don't they".

John nodded in agreement and said "Cheer up Jack, I can write a book about it, but I am glad to see your interest." President Jack smiled and handed a Medal of Honor to Saya and said "This is for being in the QCS, and John here's your Medal of Honor also.." He pinned it on both of them, and he smiled and said "The RF-4's look beautiful in the dusk don't they..."

OOC: I am going to a party, and I might not get on when I'm back, which case, I'll post tomorrow..

Suddenly, Jenny's RF-4C was towed up and Jenny said "I'm ready, here's your flightsuit, helmet and combat boot's, and President Arnold, you may fly this other one!" Jenny handed it to Saya and said "There's a bathroom you can change in behind the RF-4 behidn you Say." No sooner then she had told President Arnold and John that they would be flying then both men had ran off to change into their flight gear...

Saya came out of the bathroom tugging on her boots. The suit was a little tight, but it would work. She walked up to Jenny, "So, now what do I do"? She asked.

Jenny now properly dressed in the flight suit explained to her on how to climb up and strap it, and they climbed into the RF-4C with Jenny strapping Saya in, and connecting her helmet to the intercom, and Jenny climbed in the front cockpit and started the RF-4C, and John and Jack started their RF-4C at the same time, Jenny said on the intercom as they taxied "We'll close the canopie's now, mind your head.." The canopies' closed, and Jenny started the take off roll, and grinned as they lifted off the ground at 105 miles per hour!

Dagger-5 noted that the flight suit didn't quite fit Saya, and had to fight off his old habits. He would have had something to say usually, but this time he managed to keep himself from doing anything stupid. He watched her head to the aircraft and couldn't help but think, 'She's not going to go easy on Saya, I can tell.' He watched the craft make its take-off role and then turned away. He finished off his vodka and began movng around through the party guests.

"So, about this book, how about the we release it with a companion, 'The Memoirs of the QCS', that way people can see the things from each member's perspective. I think that's a good idea. What's everybody else think?"

President Admas arrived with the air division of the Arkheim knights. The fighters themselves were very advanced in design, brand new F24s, based upon the design of the F22 except wih forward swept wings for increased manuverability. The president walked over to Ed and shook his hand. "Now what trouble have you managed to get yourself into?" He asked. Ed smiled. "the usual, people trying to kill me, explosions, the like. Say, the others are going up in fighters, mind if I take one of yours?" President Adams looked back at his fighters, then at Ed. "Bring it back with both winds this time, will you?" Ed chuckled. "Don't worry, solo wind Edge will bring back your fighter with both wings attached." Edge recalled the story of how he had goten that moniker while flying, the Arkheim knights were jacks of all trades, trained to operate Aircraft, ground andnaval vessles. He had been on routine patrol when his right wing became overly stressed and snapped off, he had to pilot back on just one wing and land it, he later learn it was a mechanical error during routine maatinence that had failed to detect the flaws in the wing. He hopped into the cokpit and closed the canopy, taxing onto the runway and roaring off into the sky.

Saya shifted uneasily in her seat, this was pretty fun, but also scary. She looked out the window and yelped when she saw how far up they were.

John smiled and said on the intercom that connected to the party from his RF-4C "That'd be great Dag, Saya and Jenny are buzzing you guy's right now!"

Jenny smiled on the intercom and said "We're buzzing the party now, there's Dag4!" She waved, as the buzzed by, and she pulled up, and they went around the airfield and she put down the gear and slowed the throttle and said "This was it, total fight time, 35 minute's, you're a good sport Saya!" She touched down on the runway, and taxied back to the ramp next to the hanger, and shut off the RF-4C, and Saya and Jenny got out and walked back to the hanger...

OOC: This is my last post for the night, going to bed..

Saya nodded, but didn't say anything. She was feeling kind of sick. She walked to the bathroom to chang back into her normal cloths.

OOC: I am back, however I'll be at church, but I'll be back in 2-3 hours..

Jenny walked over to Saya's table and sat down, and she heard John and President Arnold landing in their RF-4C, and taxi, and the parked next to Jenny's, and as John got out, he callled to Dag4 "Are you interested in a flight in the RF-4C?, if Dag5 is, Jenny can take him too.." Jenny sipped her Coke Zero and grinned at Saya and said "I understand if you were sick, but wasn't that fun..."

President Adams went over and shook Micks hand. "You ust be the Dominion soldier I've heard so much about. C'mere and let me buy you a drink." Ed got out of the F24 and walked over to the bar in his flight suit. He ordered a shot of whiskey and leaned against the bar, this pary was going to be interesting.

The Daggers both agreed, they were Shenyangi ISAF personnel and had plenty of time in fighters, they'd been pranked over two dozen times combined. On top of that, they were trained in aviation, so they could keep their stomachs regardless of what these two tried.

"Of course we'll go up. Just don't hold back on us. I wanna see what you can do with those things."

The Daggers looked at each other. They knew they'd just set themselves up for what should be a major fall, these rides were gonna be fun.

They went to change into flightsuits. When they emerged, they were both pleased to see that these suits fit them quite well.

They laughed and waited for the aircraft to be readied for another trip. They both tried not to give away their prior experience.

Ed saw the Dags get into new flight suits and saw them heading for the air strip. He dashed towards them. "Mind if I join you?" He said.

"If you've got a bird, then I don't see why not."

The Dagger kepts walking toward the two aircraft. Smiling very slightly.

John smiled and said "Ed, here's your RF-4C you can ride in, it look's like we have a 4-5 ship going here, this one..." He gently tapped on the one that had just been shut off and said "You're flying with, my friend John (Blackjack is his nickname Arnold here, John this is Ed, your passenger for the flight, now I'll leave you two to get ready, while I prepare my bird..." John Macked ran off to prepare his bird, RF-4C 65-0746, that was the bird that Dag4 would ride in, and Jenny was in RF-4C 65-0747 which Dag5 would ride in, and John Arnold and Ed would ride in RF-4C 65-0748.

John patiently waited for Ed to change into a flightsuit, and said "We are going to have a mock recon mission for our flying guest's, we are going to pretend that some army is invading us and has set up camp 35 mile's to the north, and our pretend mission is to take photo's of the camp, the guest's in the back seat will attempt to find the fake camp we've set up and let their pilot's know on the intercom, and what ever guest and pilot team find's it first, get's to get a "Eagle Eye" medal, and the first piece of cake..."

Once everybody had strapped into their RF-4C's, the pilot's started the 5 RF-4C's, and they taxied to the hold line to wait for permission to take-off, Bob Macked, Jenny and John's son, was with Saya and smiled. Once they had got permission from March Tower, Jenny was at the head of the 5 ship take off, and her RF-4C leapt off the ground, as they climbed she told them the heading's for the fake camp, and she said on the radio to the other's "Nice day for a flight eh?" She made a sharp left turn and the other's follwed her, and she smiled and said "How's the ride Dag's?" on the radio..

Ed shook his head and jerked his thumb towards the fighters that escorted the president of The union. in. "Gonna fly one of those." He dashed off and hopped into an F24 and took off down the runway. He started to follow John. "Ride real smooth for me." he did a barrle roll. "Best fighter in the Union, intertial dampeners, and it can fly Mach 2 without having to use Afterburners."

John looked behind from his front cockpit and saw Ed in his F-24 and he smiled as they headed toward's the fake enemy camp, and Jenny was having a blast with Dag4 and said "The Calizorinstani countryside is beautiful isn't it" she said in awe, they were passing by snow-capped mountains' and forest's and rivers.

Ed looked out the canopy and saw the scenery. he chuckled. "This reminds me of the where I grew up he said." He armed his "ordinance" (All real ordinance had been removed before he had taken off, except for the gun) and re-grouped with the others. "Whos up first?" He asked.

"Oh, very nice, you said that camp was up North, alright, lets see what I can do."

Dagger-5 enjoyed the ride thoroughly, and scanned the land for any sign of this fake camp. He was completely at home in the air, part of why he'd joined the ISAF in the first place.

Meanwhile Dagger-4 was being slightly more vocal about his feelings.

"Oh yeah! I think I've got something out at our 2, can you confirm that? Don't tell anyone else."

It wasn't the camp, but he was eerilly close.

"Wait, between 1 and 2, range, 10 miles, looks like we found it. One of the virtues of being a sniper."

Dagger-5 spotted the same thing a few moments later. It was now a race between Jenny and John.

Jenny looked out the window and said to John "I think Dag4 found it first, and Dag5 second, ah, I got a picture to confirm.." She snapped a picture with the joystick to confirm their find and said "We're going to do some flying around before we head on back..."

Ed looked out the canopy. "The hell is that?" he said. He checked his radar, nothing, and looked back. It was still their.

"Sounds like a good deal to me, what'd you think Dag5?"

"I say go for it. Its a beautiful day to fly."

"Well, mght as well fly like I used to." Ed followed the Dags and John and Jenny.

Crispy had stayed back at the party. He had never liked flying, prefering to be the navigator. When the Union did away with double seater fighters, he prefered to stay grounded. he sat by himself at the bar, nursing a glass of bourbon.

Saya held tightly on to the seat, trying not to look out the window again. She didn't even want to guess how far up they were.

OOC: Who are you flying with Mereshka?

OOC: I honestly don't know. I think its with Jenny though. I think.

John said casually on the radio, "Those are F-9's from Norton Air Base joining up on us, they are our new light air superiority fighter/all weather defense fighter, you'll seem them on the right, and on the left we've got a couple of F-4G Wild Weasel jet's, and one heritage flight F-105G Thunderchief on the right.."

Ed chuckled. "Old fighters." He said over the radio. "Well, lets get this started, shall we?"

Saya glanced out the windows, she was confused. She really didn't know anything about planes. She much preffered to be on the ground. "So, what are we doing up here again"? She asked.

Ed chuckled again. "A mock mission, were supposed to 'destroy' an enemy camp."

Saya nodded, "So are there any mock soilders to go along with the mock camp"?

IC:

Jenny said "We're doing a little flying around, I am just practicing a little move, woah!" Off their left wing, 4 Mig-40 Roscoe's formed up and she informed Dag "Those Mig-40's that you see off my wing, can cruise at Mach 3.0 easily and max speed is Mach 4.5 or so, they and the Mig.144 are what's replacing our F-4's." One Mig 40, as if to demonstrate what see said, suddenly zoomed off, and she said "They're very agile, they complement the Mig 1.44 well..." She said "Let's fly over the snowy moutain's in Lake Laguna shall we, it's over to the right 5 or so mile's!" She led them off that way, descending a bit as she did so...

John said "That's what the F-9F's are for, watch them..." Before they turned to see Lake Laguna, 4 F-9F's dropped several bomb's on the fake enemy camp and the leader said "Mission succesfull, thank you GRZLY07", Jenny replied "No problem FORD01, see ya!", the F-9F
s split off from the RF-4C's and went back to Norton...

Ed chuckled. "Really now? But are they a match for F24s?" He radioed the AWACS opperating in the area, and within two minutes, five F24s wee in the air, and screaming towards their position and Mach 5. "Now that is not the fastest they can go." he said. "But its the fastest speed before the interial dampeners have a hard time compensating for the G forces."

Saya shook her head, all this talk of planes was giving her a headache. She didn't understand a single part of it. And she didn't want to ask any questions, for fear of the answers confusing her even more. She was starting to wish she had stayed at the party.

Ed flew over John and turned upside down. "Hey! You guys aren't going to do any fancy manuvering?" he laughed then pulled up, then along side to where his wing was barly two inches above Johns. "Don't move at all or we're both dead." he said.

Saya sat perfectly still. She was going to kll Ed when they got down.

John said to Ed over the radio "Mig-40's will go Mach 6.5, some case's Mach 7, so they are somewhat of a match for the F-24's, and Saya, Jenny will take you back, and she can talk to you about girl thing's if you wish too, or she'll take you up in the B717 private jet, which is better for you anway..." Suddenly 4 Mig 40's jumped John and Ed, and the leader, Blackbird 05 said "Gotcha!, see ya at March GRZLY07", and as quick as they had come, they were landing at March AFB.

Jenny smirked to herself and said "Ed, I can, and I'll do it right now!" She did a barrel roll, and an Innelmen and a Split S and said "Saya and I are going back to the airfield to get some food, see ya boys!" She turned her RF-4C, into the landing pattern for March AFB, and she landed, and taxied to the hanger and turned off the engine, and hopped out, and helped Saya out and they walked over to the table and Jenny said "Sorry for imposing it on you, but you can say you've flown in a jet now, so, how did you meet John?"

She nodded gratefully, "O..Okay. Thanks." She realised that it was probably odd for a sniper to hate heights. Saya shrugged, "I met him during the QCS missions is all."

Jenny went over to the soda cooler and obtained two Dr.Pepper's, and sat down next to Saya and gave one to her, and she kept the other and she smiled and said "Now I know why John was gone alot, was he in the QCS, I mean, I didn't know it existed before?"

Saya looked at her. "Yeah, he was in the QCS, didn't you know that"?

Jenny smiled and said "Ah, he told me about it, but, he never told me exactly what it was for, was it a law enforcement deal, he said he wouldn't tell me, for fear that I'd make him quit, or reject him in marraige, so I am guessing it's somthing that I'd be scared off..."

Saya shook her head, "We were the ones fighting all those zombies. O Afflicted, as Dag calls them."

Jenny looked curious "No wonder he didn't want to tell me, so, how did he do in the mission's that he was given?" She sipped her Dr.Pepper, she was about to learn some interesting thing's about her husband she never knew...

Saya smiled, "He did great, as good as anyone else, thats for sure. He did like to ride in a tank when possible though".

Jenny looked inquisitive and said "When did he ride in a tank?, it seem's like that the QCS was involved in lot's of dangerous stuff..."

Saya sat back and took a drink, "Well, it was the only mission where we weren't fighting zombies. We were fighting some sorta super soldiers, I didn't really catch the technicalities. And squad two thought to bring a tank, and me and John caught a ride on it, until I hopped off to help catch a rouge squad member".

Jenny said "Wasn't there a lab, and he hopped off the tank, and fought in tight quarter's behind a desk in the lab?, I think he told me about it mistakenly one day, and he said something about one "Dmitri" almost getting you killed..."

Saya nodded, "Yep, and that wasn't very fun. Dmitri decided to take me hostage."

Jenny looked grim for a moment and then said "You certainly had a scary time, but from what I heard from John, being surrounded by super soldier's with 4 men that were allies, that he didn't know was scary, but he said they finally took the lab. John and Jack Arnold climbed out of their RF-4C's that they just parked, and walked over to Jenny and Saya and John asked when they sat down "What were you girl's talking about now?"

Saya grinned, "Oh nothing. Just some girls talk".

John smirked and whirled around to see a Mig-40 taxi to the hanger, and Col.Barry Campbell, a well known tactican in Calizorinstan, hopped out, his suit looked alot like a regular one, but his helmet, was a cross between a regular flight helmet, and the Master Cheif helmet, and he walked over to John Macked and said "Hi, Saya, and Hi Jenny, I got here in 5 minute's, thank's to my fast bird here.." He jerked his thumb toward's the MIG-40 parked next to Jenny's RF-4C...

Saya glanced around, "Uhm, do I know you"? She asked him.

Barry said "I don't think so, I've only been told you're here, my name's Barry Campbell, pleasure to meet you, Saya. Mr.Macked is currentlly having some engine problem's at altitude, and is trying to come down, I fear som..." A loud bang was heard as Jenny saw John attempting to control his craft, he managed to do it, but he ran off the end of the runway, and she saw it come to a halt in a ditch, and she said "Well he's down at least..."

Saya shook the mans hand then stood on tiptoes, "Is John okay? Does he do that often"?

Jenny smiled and said "This is his only accident of his flying career I belive, I think he's okay!"

John crawled out of the cockpit and waved and said on his hand-held radio to Jenny "The plane I think has damage, but it'll fly again, that was certainly weird..."

He finally made it back to the hanger and grinned at Saya and said "I had flashback's of the QCS while attempting to control it, my whole life flashed before my eye's..." The airport crew, retrived the aircraft, and brought it back to the hanger and John said "It wasn't Jenny's RF-4C, thank god, or she'd kill me..."

The Daggers looked worried. That was a nasty landing. They wanted to go try to help, but they saw that there were already people on the way. They tried to get over it. Dagger-4 pratically dragged 5 over to Jenny and Saya. When they got there 5 acted as casual as he could, having just witnessed a nasty emergency landing.

"So, Saya, what'd you think of that little run?"

Saya laughed, "Or maybe she'd just give me a rope, and tell me that you're all mine." She grinned, "Maybe I should use a horde of super soldiers instead of zombies eh"?

Saya turned to Dag5, "Well, it was as fun as a jet ride ever could be I guess. I've decided never to be a pilot though."

John smiled and said to Dag4 and 5 in the hanger "It was an engine malfunction, and that bird is hard to control on one engine, I am going to take a flight in this Mig-40 right here and see how high I can get, it'll go Mach 5.8 easily, how's the party so far Saya, and everyone, how's the food..."

"Well, fighters can be a bit, other planes fly nicer. I like fighters, but I'm not trained on these. I perfer flying stuff like the older OV-10 observation planes. Nice and responsive, but still pretty docile. As I heard, you know that Dag4 is trained on choppers, that's a whole different set of skill right there."

"The food's awesome."

Dagger-4 finished off what little was left on his plate. He left 5 to fend for himself and headed off to get more food. He hadn't eaten since the mission on the research vessel after all.

John smiled and said "For the first couple year's, I flew F-4E model's in the Calizorinstani Air Force, I've flown them in the Calizorinstan Smuggler Uprising, I shot down 6 rebel Mig-17's in a day with it, hah, they were no challenge to me."

Saya looked around, "Well, this party is fun. But, what do we do now"?

Just as Saya said this John whispered "It appear's as though the President is going to make a speech of some sort..." John was right, President Arnold walked up to the podium, and smiled and started to talk in the microphone, "Good evening everybody, I trust the food was good.." murmurs of agreement could be heard and President Arnold said "I made this party to honor the member's of the QCS, the first squad I know of that was made to combat the undead, and what stories I have heard from various member's. Sound's like it was a wonderful, but scary experience, but fighting undead meant of course, it was a bonding experience, how could you hold a grudge against some squadmember that saved you from being mauled by afflicted's. I gave some medal's out earlier to all QCS member's, and they are made honorary member's of the Calizorinstan Special Operation's Command, except for John Macked, who's the head. Any how, I've had a wonderful time, and I know that it was a stressful experience, so let's give the member's of the QCS a big hand!" Lot's of the Calizorinstani Armed Force's members clapped, and John smiled and

President Arnold said
"I have in mind, something similar to the QCS, but for hunting the rogue criminal's that even our spec op's have a hard time with, and any member of the QCS that wishes to join it, can, it's a sight easier then fighting undead. It'll be called the HVLAS, short for High Value Leader Arrest Sqaud. Detail's can be found by talking to me about the job, that's all, have a good party!" He stepped down from his podium and chatted with some advisors.

Saya sat and thought for a moment. If raising a family didn't work out, maybe she could try that. Or if she eventualy did make a husband out of one of those three they both could join it. Sounded interesting.

John said "I'll join it, it sound's alot less gruesome, he didn't mention this, but he said that we could have decent break's in the HVLAS breakroom too..."

President Arnold walked over to John,Jenny and Saya's table and said "John, and Jenny, you're the first two member's of the HVLAS squad, and as such, John you'll head the squad..." He sat down and grinned at Saya.

Saya grinned back, "I might join, it all depends on what heppens really. Depends on where my life takes me".

President Arnold nodded and said "I respect that, I think that the Dag's might want to join this sqaud, they like doing these kind's of things.."

She sighed, "Yeah, I bet they will. Although I hear Dag4 stil has buisness in the zombie killing stuff".

John smiled and said "Dag5 will though, I think he'd find it fun, it's a lower stress level then the QCS was at least, what the deuce!" He ran out of the hanger, just in time to see an air to air colission between a SaintB F-9T that wandered into Calizorinstan airspace, and a RF-4C, and he saw 4 people eject, and a fireball erupt from the two plane's, and John groaned.

Saya yelped when she saw the crash, "Hey, are they going to be okay"?

John looked up and muttered "I dunno, whoah!" He saw the RF-4C he though people had ejected, come into a pattern, it looked badly damaged, and two people were still in it, and they fought to keep it level, and put the gear down, and landeded, the SaintB F-9T also nobody ejected, and it managed to get it's gear down and it landed on the field too, but the two plane's were badly damaged, as John could see as they taxied up to the ramp..

Saya ran over to the planes as fast as she could, "Hey, is everyone okay"? She yelled.

The badly damaged RF-4C's landing gear suddenly collapsed, and a very upset looking Jenny emerged from the cockpit muttering "Those SaintB git's, didn't even ask for permission...." She hopped out and said to Saya "I'm fine, those people (She pointed to the SaintB crew of the F-9T), drifted into our airspace and ran right into me!" The F-9T looked like a rolled up ball almost, it was very lucky that they crew had lived at all...

Saya ran over to the plane, and after making sure they were all okay, began scolding them. She stood with her arms crossed and tapping her foot. "You people should be ashamed of yourselves, whats your explanation"?

The SaintB instructor pilot looked ashamed and said "My order's were to let my student pilot solo, while I sat in the back to make sure he didn't do anything wrong, but I snoozed off...."

Dagger-5 was already running when he saw the two aircraft collide. He headed for the nearest touch-down. He didn't care where the pilot was from, he'd just fallen from the sky after a mid-air collision.

Saya put her fists on her hips, her eyes were starting to turn red again. "So you let yourself fall asleep with an untrained pilot at the wheel? What kind of captain are you"? She turned to the trainee, "And you, what your excuse? Didn't you see a plane heading for you"?

A third aircraft, with no pilot in it, that had also collided with the F-9T came crashing down on the runway, the pilot had landed on the ramp, the aircraft in question was a CNASA T-38 trainer.... John looked at the pilot who was Bob Howell his friend and John helped him out and pointed to the culprit's of this, the SaintB crew of the F-9T...

The SaintB instructor shifted and groaned and said "The student, I didn't know it until after take off, had alcohol right before we took off, and I was quite sleep deprived preparing for his solo..." The student said suddenly "Our control's wouldn't respond, I attemped to swerve, but I had accidently locked the stick, and right after we collided I managed to unlock it, and we landed, it was our fault..."

"Saya, go easy on him, there's no way he could have known this would have happened. As long as everyone's still alive."

He looked at the two of them.

"You two are okay right?"

He was genuinely worried about these two.

The SaintB instructor nodded "We're fine, we survived, although that pattern was awefully scary, it seem's like the RF-4C might get fixed, our's is totaled.." John smiled and said "You can come to the party, what's your name?" The instructor smiled and said "I am Lt.Col Mike Handle, and my student is 2nd Lt. Harry Wood..., nice to meet you John Macked. I recognize you..." John led them in, while Dag4 and Saya would follow...

"Okay, I'll let you off easy this time, but don't let it happen again, do you understand me"? She stood back still tapping her foot, and realised she was acting just like her mother when her brothers got in trouble.

OOC: 5 went, not 4, he saw that 5 had it covered.

Dagger-5 followed behind th rest. He was amazed that everyone had survived that incident. In the moment he'd completely forgotten that he was so immensely worried about being with Saya, and had actually been able to speak straight, he was amazed at himself.

Jenny walked over to Saya and smiled and they walked back to their table and Jenny said "I can't believe they survived, they're a smaller plane, then I was in, and I had a miracle that I lived too..."

She sighed, "Well, I suppose their only problem was stupidity. So I guess it was a good thing they survived. How could he fall asleep though"?

"He said he'd been sleep deprived, he probably couldn't help it."

Jenny looked puzzeled and said "I think the SaintB training regime need's a little overhaul don't you?, I mean instructor's are suppposed to keep a sharp eye on what their student's doing?"

She sighed again, "Yeah, I guess it wasn't his fault. At least they both survived. It could have been much worse. Well, this party has just been filled with excitement hasn't it"?

Jenny said "These combat boot's aren't all that comfartable to wear for me, the flight suit is though, it make's my husband fall for me everytime..."

Saya laughed, "The suits are a little tight hu"?

John came over and said to Saya "We're holding a BBQ at our house, it's for only QCS member's if you'd like to come, my wife will drive you in our Ferrari 308 GTB we just bought, and I'll drive the rest, if they want to come in our Ford Edge CUV, Jenny has a high regard for you I see." He chuckled as Jenny pulled off her sock's to discover a blister on her feet, and she pulled the sock back on and the boot's and glared at him, but then stood up and kissed him and said "You are cute sometime's babe."

Sayas eyes widened, "Wow, a ferarri? Cool"!

Jenny smiled and said "I take it you want to come?, if so, follow me, and John will tell Dag4 and 5" She got up and smiled, having the key's to the Ferrari 308, and John said to Dag4 and 5 "We're having a party at my house here, that's only for the member's of the QCS, I'll put on a concert even, want to come?"

President Adams stood up before the assembled crowd. "I have only a few words for you, after this part is over, you all will be taken to Arkheim to be knighted, and another thing, THEIR WILL BE FREE BOOZE!" Ed chuckled, he had known President Adams since flight school, and he always had a flamboyant side. He noticed Saya staring daggers in his direction, he quickly ducked towards the bar. Crispy was sitiing all by his self, slowly drinking a glass of bourbon.

John started laughing and said to Ed "I think President Adam's is drunk!, no sober man would do that in my opinon!"

Ed chuckled. "hes not drunk, hes just overly boisturos." He ordered a glass of bourbon for himself, then sat back on the stool. "Hope Saya doesn't find me." He said.

Saya nodded, "Of course I'd like to come. Now, one second, I've got to go kill Ed". She started stalking in his direction.

Jenny waited patiently, while Saya wasn't looking she kissed John and let down her blond hair and smiled and said "I am glad that an incident didn't come out of the SaintB trainer jet crashing in our territory.."

OOC: I don't know, but I am going to go to a short concert, I'll be back probably 6:30 PST, though it could change...

Saya stalked up to Ed, "Now what was with that litle manuver mister? You almost scared me right out of my jumpsuit"! She crossed her arms and began tapping her foot, waiting for an explanation.

Ed shrugged. "Its what I do, I used to be a hotshot pilot, thats why I did it."

She glared at him, "Next time can't you at least give a girl a warning?" She looked to Crispy, "Ho do you put up with this guy"?

Crispy chuckled. "Long hours of therapy and lots and lots of bourbon." Ed punched him in the shoulder, and Crispy nearly fell out of his seat. "And he never softens his punches either."

Saya laughed, "I suppose that would be the only way to handle it huh? Well, mind handing me some borboun"?

Crispy called for the bar towel and wiped the rim of his glass before sliding it down to Saya. "You can have the rest of this, I need something lighter." He ordered a simple seltzer and Whiskey mix, then slugged it back.

Saya took a drink, "Thanks Patrick, now all I need is therapy and I'm good". She grinned at Ed.

Ed shook his head. "Thats just part of my hotshot nature, you'll get used to it." he said. he sat back down and ordered shot of scotch.

"Hotshot my ass..." Saya muttered under her breath.

"I heard that." Said Ed and pointed to his ears. "You forget I'm not fully human any more."

Jenny tapped her feet impatiently, and then went and changed into her party clothes, and high heel's, and walked up to Saya saying "Are you ready now, I can wait, but I don't want to keep my husband too long, and plus you get to ride in a Ferrari over..." She smiled sweetly at Ed while she said this...

The Daggers were ready to go. Its not like they had much with them that they had to bring. Dagger-5 hadn't had time to unpack his electric bass during the whole trip, maybe now he'd have the chance.

Saya nodded, "Yep, ready when you are."

She went over to the nearest guitar case, and brought out a very beautiful 1967 Les Paul, and she said "This is what I played, and I assume it's worth a lot of money!" She hooked it up to the amp and started to play "Sunshine of Your Love" by Eric Clapton, and she smiled as John came through in and said "Dag's got an electric bass, maybe we could have a little song writing session and make song's about our experiences in the QCS, welcome to my house everybody..." It was a manor that the President had given John and Jenny for their service's, John for being in the QCS...

Ed hopped out of the car and whisteled. "Nice mansion." He said. Crispy got out and didn't whistle like Ed did. "Doesn't compare to the presidential eastate in Arkheim." He said. Ed shruged. "Of course it doesn't, the presidential estate is where the governemnt is run from as well as being the home of the president." They got inside and found Jenny strumming away on a guitar. He found the nearest leather armchair and sank into it.

John said to Ed "Nice to see you've made it, we've got our friend's cooking some Calizorinstani food, which don't worry is like American/Mexican food. I'll get my electric as well..." He joined Jenny, but switched the song to Highway to Hell by AC/DC, which Jenny joined in with her electric. John's electric was a 1959 Fender Stratocaster, which he left at home while he was in the QCS..

Jenny stopped playing and let Dag and John go and said to Ed, "Do you see that picture of the F-4E taxing on the taxiway, it's John taxing it, on his first combat mission..."

'First combat mission, eh? I remember mine, I got my ace wings, on my first combat mission." Ed chuckled. "Thats also where I got the flight moniker Solo Wing Edge."

The Daggers looked at the pictures carefully. They wondered what had been going through his head at the time. They knew how they'd thought on their first combat missions, but those had been more down to earth. Even though they both knew how to fly, they didn't fly militarilly unless it was an emergency. The thoughts of their first missions came flooding back. 5's had been the assault on the oil rig he'd mentioned over a day ago. 4's had been an armed recon mission deep into hostile territory, within Shenyang. It hadn't gone off as planned. Everything seemed normal until about a day before extraction. Then all hell broke loose. He spoke up over it.

"I remember my first mission, bet his mission went better than mine."

Saya sat back and listened to the music, "My first mission was the first mission of the QCS".

Dagger-5 looked at her, "That's a helluva way to start a military career."

He tried to remember the first time he'd encountered the undead.

"I was a bit luckier, I had 3 missions before I had to deal with them. A small village, not unlike what I heard of the QCS' first mission. Except this one was in broad daylight. How'd it go for you on your first mission?"

She shrugged, "Oh, it went pretty good. I was able to stay on the rooftops with my sniper rifle, so I didn't have to get to close to them." She thought for a second, "But, me and Ed did sorta start off on the wrong foot."

"Well, that happens. My encounter was a little more frightening. It was in Dagger-4's hometown, we were sent to eliminate the threat to the nation. My first encounter with them, well, I nearly got bitten by one within an hour of dropping in. That isn't something I suggest for anyone, even people I hate."

He shook his head. He had to admit to himself that nearly being turned into a zombie had been one of the scariest things he'd ever encountered. Maybe worse than even the fear he'd felt a few hours ago.

She shook her head, "Uh uh, deffinately not something to condemn anyone to." She sat back and took a drink of her doctor pepper, then she grinned at him. "So, where are you taking me for our date hmm"?

"I want it to be a surprise, besides, isn't there someone ahead of me in line?"

He smiled, he was actually still working on exactly where he'd take her, after all he was in a foreign country. Maybe his old habits could come in handy, as long as they didn't take over, he'd learned how to improvise in the past.

She shook her head, "Nope, I figure that I at least owe it to you to go with you first."

He had to think fast, he had no idea what there was around here. He hoped that something would come down from above and save him. He played the only card he had at the moment, hoping it'd go over fine.

"Well, I'm not sure what there is around here, where would you like to go?"

He began wondering if he could get a car dropped off, that and a map. This was starting to look a bit bleak. He glanced out the window to see 4 walking away from a new Mustang, he waved the keys at 5, out of sight of Saya. He quickly thought to himself, 'Thank you God for Dag4. Couldn't ask for a better brother-in-law.'

Saya thought for a second, "Can we go somewhere without Calizornisti food? I've never been a fan of it, lets go somewhere with Asian food." She looked up at him with her little girl face, "Please"?

"I don't see why not, we should be able to find someplace nice."

He hoped that the Mustang had a navigation system, but then he realized, 4 wouldn't leave him out to dry like that.

"So, I'm all for a nice trip into the city, shall we?"

Dag4 tossed 5 the keys. As he passed by he whispered quickly to 5, "Good luck, you owe me for that car."

Dagger-5 was in a better mood thn he'd been in this whole time. Once more he thought to himself, 'Thank God for 4.'

Saya nodded, "Hey Jenny, me and Dag are going out for our date, okay"?

Jenny said to Ed, "His first mission was against a huge part of Calizorinstan that broke off and called itself "Khilstanian Republic", they had a well organized air force, comprised of, Mig-27 Flogger's, and Mig 29 Fulcrum's, and some Tu-95 Bear's, he claimed 6 Mig-29's in a day with his F-4E, and then 3 Tu-95 bomber's the next day, and the third mission he took out 4 Khilstanian destroyer's with his F-4E fitted with Harpoon's, and then somthing went horribly wrong, he lost his two wingmen to AAA fire, and then a SAM locked onto him..., he managed to zoom away before it got their, but then halfway back to the base he ran out of fuel, and he was still in Khistanian territory..."

"Man, just like my first mission, we were in the territory of a terrorist organization, we got made before our exfil was due, I'm one of 3 surviving members of the original Dagger Team."

He knew what it was like to lose friends. He knew too well.

John nodded soberly and said picking up from "I flew a F-4C model, but the E model was the first I flew in combat, and those two wingman, I believe, were confirmed to be KIA. I got in such a rage, that I had to fight to control it, for those 4 men were all my good friend's, but I managed to control the plane, and land at Norton AB, just inside the Calizorinstan border's. That was where my 1st Distinghuised Service Cross came from, after I flew the F-4E, I flew F-5B's out of March, that was a while, then I joined the Marine's, and then CSOCOM, and then the QCS, now HVLAS!" He looked weary at the mention of this , and they went to the dinner table, where a yummy steak, and mashed potato dinner was set, and John sat down and said "I flew in the Marine Corps, only one type of plane, I flew the F-14D for two year's, before going into the infantry, and then to CSOCOM, and then to QCS where I met you all..."

"Hmm... losing friends is always tough. I still think about them sometimes. Its what motivates me to keep going. How'd you deal with it?"

He hadn't told them that his parents had been among those who he'd had to kill when his hometown was overrun. He hoped he wouldn't have to, but he was ready for it.

John said soberly "I dealt with it, it kept me going like you Dag, and I had to, I didn't want to set a bad example, I just kept a straight face, although I yelled at the newer guy's alot sad to say, as a way to keep it out.., Some General at CSOCOM, saw the QCS and thought that I should join, he said "It'd be benefical John, you'd see interesting stuff, come on kid, it'll be a milk run..." I joined at his insistance, I didn't believe for a minute that it'd be easy at all..."

"Fighting the Afflicted is never easy, youre lucky though, you never had to deal with them in your hometown. Never had to kill those you lov... I'm starting to get morbid. This kind of work does that, as you can see."

He sat down and tried to shake off the memories.

John smiled weakly and said "Yeah, I agree, but the most terrifying feeling I've had, was when my F-4E 68-0514, (I am a serial number freak for airplane's at least), was taking lot's of AAA hit's, I prayed to God alot I tell you, and I am thankful I had divine intervention, for if I hadn't landed at Norton, I'd have to have punched out, which luckily I've never ejected..."

Jenny smiled as she served Dag4 some steak, and potatoes and said "Speaking of nearly punching out, I almost had to with that SaintB F-9T, another thing, they were supposed to be in their airspace, they either forgot to ask permission, or I'll have to take the instructor's word and he fell asleep, I am lucky that both of us lived through that incident..."

Dagger-4 was enjoying his steak as he listened. He began wondering how 5 was doing, and hoped he hadn't done anything best described as 'IMMENSELY STUPENDOUSLY UNBELIEVABLY VERY STUPID IN THE FIRST DEGREE'.

OOC: The tragic ones? I mean, yeah, chopper was interesting but..... still, my list would be followed by Bartlet and Pops. In my opinion, PJ was way to whiny. "I just want this war to be over." "Do we have to continue this?" Stuff like that made me want to shoot him down...

Ed walked over to where Dag 4 was sitting and pulled the cahir out. "Mind if I sit here?"

John smiled and said "Sure, I was glad that Miss Jenny here survived the air-to air incident, say, I am glad that your RF-4C will be fixed. I sure hope that Saya know's the neighborhood well enough, Dag, do you think 5 has a GPS with him?"

Ed chuckled. "Why would military personal be carrying GPS untis on them off duty." He took a drink. "And if he did.... I might be able to have a freind of mine perform a little technological magic to track him."

John smiled and said "I meant, I sure hope he doesn't get lost, I don't feel like a rescue mission at this moment..." He looked at a picture of him in the cockpit of a F-4E taxing, it was a zoomed out shot, with him in the cockpit with helmet on, with one hand on the dashboard, he chuckled and said "Handsome fellow aren't I?, that airplane, 68-0514 was both the first F-4E I flew, and the last, but by the time I last flew it, I'd shot down 16 enemy fighter's in it, funny eh, a triple ace?, sorry, I just reminscened about my bird, luckily it avoided the scrapyard, and is in my back yard" He jerked his thumb toward's the back, and on the spacious lawn sat a F-4E in it's entirety.

Ed reached into his uniform pocket and pulled out a faded photograph. "This is me on my return from the first mission." he atpped the fighter in the back. "That was my F-18, it got replaced by an F-22 after its wing snapped off." Standing next to him in the picture were two people, one was obviously Crispy, the other still had his helmet and mask on. "The guy on the left is Ice Heart, my squadron leader. Always cool and calm, never really showed any emotion. He was shot down when the Union pulled a combined offensive with the navy and ground troops during the liberation of Arkheim during the civil war, he's listed as KIA, but I have the feeling he's still alive."

John said "Hmm, there's a hope, and I think that my two wingmen are alive, anyway, here's a pic..." He pulled out a photo of him in the back cockpit of a F-4D, with two men squatted on the intake beside him, and he croaked "The man on the left of me, is Col.Ryan Macintire, he was my best mate, he got 6 Mig-23's to his kill list, and to the right, Lt. Bob Redren, I knew him from his brother being a cousin of mine, and both are listed as killed in action, after being shot down in this very F-4D 65-0752. I was a RIO at the time of this picture, in F-4D's, and then upgraded to pilot, I was slotted for this aircraft, at the time of the fateful mission, but I got switched to the F-4E 68-0514. I have the piece's of F-4D 65-0752 in my backyard, want to see them?" He stood up and said "The piece's of this fighter mean alot to me, I feel like I can almost hear them when I get near. I think they're alive, I know it..." He got up, his dinner finished and smiled and said "Jenny will make us dessert while we look at the aircraft, and what remain's of one..."

"yeah, I know what its like to lose squad mates and friends. During the liberation fo Arkheim, over 3/4 of Vogel squadron was shot down, I had known most of them since flight school." He opened his jacket and pulled out the watch fob that was attached to his pocket watch. "This watch and the fob were made out of the melted pieces of the wreckage of their air craft. Our saying was near or far, the Vogels will stay united as a squadron. Right around then was when I decided that i didn't want to see any more men die in steel birds, I wanted to fight where I was in command of my own destiny on the battlfield, not a peice of machinery." He buttoned up his jacket again. "Of course, I still have my fighter, I still take it up over Arkheim occasionaly, as a reminder of why I'm stil lalive."

John and Ed walked outside, and John pointed to a 50% wrecked F-4D, which was intact from behind the RIO cockpit forward, and a mess of a wreck behind, and John said as they walked closer "The reason why I think they're alive is that, I didn't see any blood or flesh, and the seat's are ajar, and a big clue..." He pointed to a side of the canopies that was broken by an emergancy ax and said "That right there my friend was my biggest clue yet to why I think they're alive..."

"The search crews never found Ice hearts fighter, we saw that he had been hit, his tail assembly and one of his engines were on fire. he broke off, saying he was going to ditch it, then we lost radio contact with him." He looked into the sky. "Sometimes I wonder if he did manage to ditch, if he just wanted to fadei nto the background after that, just act as an observer, not one who affects the changes. I have more painful memories of that day, my fiance was a pilot, she was on an AWACS that was hit by a long range SAM."

John nodded grimly and had a horrifying thought and whipped out a picture of a suspected high value leader, "Macsaw" and compared it to Col.Ryan Macintire and said "Is it a co-incidence or does the picture of this well known in Calizorinstan convict "Macsaw" look similar to the old picture I showed you of Col.Ryan Macintire?" John though that their bar handle mustache looked awefully similar and thier eye's were both blue, and they had flat top's, though Macsaw looked unshaven and Col.Ryan Macintire looked shaven...

Ed looked at it. "It really does look very similar. Reminds me of the military personal in the Union. When their time in the service is up, a lot of them become mercenaries because they live to fight, and its all they know." He tapped his chin. "I wonder if ice heart went mercenary?"

John looked sad and said "I can understand that in your country, but Well, that's my rotten luck, my first target in HVLAS turn's out to be my old friend! I doubt sincerly that Lt.Bob Redren went that route, but..." Jenny called "Time for Apple Pie dessert boys!" John smiled weakly and they went back in and John said "I cannot belive that my first high value leader to capture or kill is my old friend!"

OOC: I am going to bed now, good night!

"Wouldn't suprise me if I ran into Ice Heart during a military opperation, the Union likes to hire mercenaries of reasonable trust to do missions that are not allowed to have any union ivolvement, for example, assasinating a foreign dictator without starting, for example, a war." He sat down and and sunk his fork into the Apple pie, savoring it as he chewed. "Really good cooking Jenny." he said. "Kind of reminds me of grandmas apple pies, made from fresh apples from the mountain orchards on my familys property."

John said "Well, Macsaw, as I call him, has been raiding military member's houses for gun's, for he's made a call for another revolution, and I don't want that, so I wonder if when I do find him, if he'll recognize me, here here on the pie, really good cooking Jenny.., say that SaintB F-9T crash today was intersting wasn't it?"

'yeah, it was. Who in the right mind allows a rookie to fly by himself with the instructor asleep?"

OOC: It comes from my deeply ingrained protective instincts. I dunno why, but I hate seeing anyone under my charge be killed, even though they're digital or only dead temporarilly (self-professed milsim paintballer), something deep inside me trips, and I go on an all out rampage. I gotta wonder if I'm mildly bipolar or something. I thought Archer was worse than PJ, Atleast PJ didn't have to get orders to do anything at all from me all the time. He was more like the amazed fan than the under-trained nugget. My opinion anyway. That and my favorite enemy is Indigo squad, so sue me.

Dagger-4 looked up, he had trouble believing that people were still going on about the fact that he'd fallen asleep.

"If the bird was already in the air, then its not like they could pull over when the instructor dozed off. What suprised me was that the trainee had made it through to the flightline drunk or hung-over. It was pilot error, it happens to everyone eventually. I managed to crash my last run in a UH-1 before the QCS, not bad, everyone walked away. Still, the skids were totalled."

He realized that he'd just said that he'd crashed the very type of craft that he'd gotten everyone out of enemy territory on, which didn't exactly bode well for their confidence in his skills. He didn't really care.

John smiled and said "Ah well, at least my wife survived the incident, I didn't know it was her, what surprised me is that according to the mechanic's, her RF-4C can be fixed economically, and they said that the F-9T took more damage then the RF-4C, all I have to say is the RF-4C is a sturdy bird..., how's the apple pie Dag?" He had his second apple pie with ice cream and whipped cream..

John kissed Jenny on the cheek, and picked up his 2006 Fender Toronado and started playing "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater, and sung the lyric's, and smiled at Dag4 and Ed, and grinned at Jenny...

Ed sat back in the chair. "CCR, now thats music."

John smiled and said "Bad Moon Rising is my favorite CCR song, I've been known to play it in my RF-4C, and sometime's broadcast it over the radio intercom when I get bored, and I get shout's over the radio from ATC wondering what I am doing up here..."

It was near dark, a man rapped solidly on the front foor several times and waited outside patiently. He was tall, olive, skinned and well built. His hair was long, dark and flowed down his back in straight tendrils. He wore a simple suit of good cut but nothing fancy, his whit undershirt was collared but the top two bottuns were undone, and the color pressed back against the suit, he wore no tie. He stood calmly waiting for an answer.

John walked over to the door, and saw the man at the door, and said "Come on in, I'm John Macked, Foreign Minister of Calizorinstan, and these people (he gestured at Ed, Dag4, and Jenny), besides myself, are QCS member's, and we witnessed the accident between a F-9T and our RF-4C, which (He pointed to Jenny) my wife was flying.." He lead the man to a table and said "What are you here to discuss with me?"

"It is good to finally meet you Mr. Mackhed, originally it was to be under more freindly circumstances but it seems there is business of a plane crash, I was only just informed as I landed. I am Benard, Monarch of Goldaron. I was late getting the invitation... with the amount of things going on in my nation its a wonder anything gets done." Benard shook his hand in a strange two handed clasp.
"Shall it be business first or pleasure?"

John thought about it and said "Buisness first, about the crash, everybody survived, but the instructor claims, to have fallen asleep, and they drifted into our airspace, and that when the student saw the Calizorinstani RF-4, he attempted to swerve, but accidently put the rudder lock in place, and the instructor said, or at least I thought I heard him say, he had some alcohol shortly before going out on the flight..."

"Indeed? If you will aloow me to speak with them in person? It is not my area but I will make sure that this gets sent to the proper channels immediatly. I will get a full report to your nation as soon as its done. When my hand gets involved in something, it gets done quickly. I make sure of it."

John smiled and said "Of course you may speak to them, they're at March AFB, and you may see both airplane's involved to get a better picture. They're at the party."

((OOC: Which is where now? Ar ethe pictures at the party, or the pilots?))

OOC: The pilot's are, but John has the pictures...

IC:

John handed the photo's of the incident to Bernard and said "These show the damage to the craft, and arrow's point to where they collided in the sky, and these also show the cockpit damage also..."

Benard looked the pictures over witha critical eye, "Its very fortunate there were no casualties... I'm sorry to be keeping you from your freinds on th evening of your retirement party Mr. Mackhed. If you will excuse me for a few minutes more I will speak with the pilot and his trainer... if I find them to be deliquent or irresponsible they will be charged. Discipline is very important to our soldiers; we beleive we field some of the best in the world."

John smiled and said "I went to the bigger party, but this one is for my closer friend's from QCS, a undead removal squad basically, yes you heard that right, I fought zombie's as a career for a little bit.."

Benard grinned... "When I was only 14 I was also involved in dead-head removal squads. It was never a problem in my home, fortunatly. Please, excuse me and I will handle the two pilots outside, tell them a representitive from SaintB is waiting outside... I'm sure seeing me will shock them into honesty. I will return when I'm done?"

John dialed the sqaudron headquarter's to inform them that a SaintB repersentive would be coming, and when he hung up he smiled and said "Have a good night, it appears they haven't made it to the bar yet,at least.." He shook Bernard's hand, and sat down and said to Ed "Wellp, that was easy, those pilot's will be shaking in their suit's!"

"Its never good to have a pilot nervous." Ed said. "they can't focus properly."

John nodded and said "I wasn't saying that literly Ed, I was saying it figurtively!" He stood up, and walked over to his Fender Tornado, and started to play Freebird on it, and grinned and said "I've been in a couple of band's before I joined the armed service's..."

John started playing In the Secret/I want to know you by Sonic Flood, and started singing "In the secret, in the quiet place, in the stillness you are there, I want to know you, I want to hear your voice, I want to know you more. Pressing onward, pushing every hinderance aside, out of my, 'cause I want to know you more, I want to touch you, I want to see your face, I want to know you more...." He grinned and said "How's that for a song?"

"now that is pretty good." Ed stood up and walked out to the balcony, the cold biting air of spring went right through his uniform. He looked up at the stars, the sky was crystal clear, even for a time like this.

John took off his guitar, and followed Ed and said "I sure hope that Saya and Mick, and Dag5 make it back here, I never got the chance to say goodbye..." A tear dripped down from his face, and he wiped it off..

OOC: Where'd Mick go?

OOC: He's supposed to be at the party I think, or with you I dunno!

IC:
John smiled and said "I am supposed to be at a Memorial Service for the Hegemony Ball bombing's in a couple of day's..., I was there, I killed approx. 500 terrorist's while I was there..."

John started playing "Danger Zone" and said "I like any music from the Top Gun Soundtrack.." Then he switched to "In the Secret" by Sonic Flood and grinned at Dag4

OOC: Shen, ahem!, I haven't seen Dag4 for a while, I hope he's still in the mansion...

OOC: Busy courting Mereshka, thats where Shen is.

OOC: You make that sound like a bad thing...

OOC: Ah, okay!

IC:

John smiled and sat down next to Jenny and said to Ed "I got to fly a XB-70 yesterday, it was quite a fun ride, that's for sure!"

"XB-70? Fighter, bomber transport?"


OOC: Nothing, just have to wait my turn.

OOC: Merk, you can tell Shen, when he's done dating to come back to the mansion...

He grinned and said "What do you think of the beauty, we have 50 more that will go into operational service shortly..."

Ed whistled. "Air Superiority, doesn't look to manuverable, but I'm assuming it uses speed to comepensate for out manuvering an enemy, hmm?"

John smiled and said "It's a bomber Ed, it doesn't need to engage fighter's, it'll bomb from way up high, no SAM's will get it, that's why the Russian's designed the MIG 25, and rumor has it from Calizorinstan High Command, that we might order 100-150 more of these, these are also being used as VIP Transport's, it'll cruise at Mach 2.5-7." He grinned, and said "Yeah, it's a fast bomber..."
