Army: The British Army is all volunteer made of troops from all over the Empire. It is formed of professional infantry who are loyal to the King and Parliament. The home army is only 100,000 strong through the Territorial Army provides another 150,000 in emergeancies. Soldiers train daily using live ammunition. As a result of this hard training, which also includes formation marching and hand-to-hand combat, the average British Infantryman is capable of 11 shots a minute with the Handsen VI. They are also trained to use a tactic known as 'Rolling Fire' this is where the central company of the line shoots and is followed by the units to their left and right. This results in constant fire hitting the enemy lines. Although the troops continue to fight in formation and this is outdated
Main Rifle: Handsen VI Breech-Loading Rifle
The Colonies are manned by a few British troops but mostly they are manned by British trained native Infantry. They are not as well trained as the British Regiments but they can hold the line if need be.
An important part of the major terms of the larger colonies within the Empire is that they are given a certain amount of autonomy regarding the recruitment of their own armies. However, these Armies must be used by British troops and the Royal Navy maintains control of the seas around the colonies. Colonial Armies breakdown as follows
Canadian Army: 110,000 men
Indian Army: 110,000 men
Australian Army: 50,000 men
New Zealand Army: 15,000 men
Egyptian Army: 11,000
Elite troops of the British Army are the Irish Rangers with the Highland Regiments. Standard weapon is the Handsen VI Breech-Loading Rifle, while the main artillery is the 12 pounder cannon. Colonial Officers are also armed with revolvers.
Standard field unit is a Division of 10,000 men. It is made up of two Regiments of 5,000 men each are made of two Battalions.

Navy: The Royal Navy is the pride of the Empire and the envy of the world, matched only by that of France. The vast distances between the Empire means that the fleet consists of a vast number of Pre-Dreadnoughts. The rate of fire from these ships is high although accuracy has yet to be inplemented in the traditions of the Royal Navy, the crew are well trained and the Admiralty is determined to remain top of the world. In the words of the empire "Britannia rules the wave"
