Cravna, Cravan - Today marked the first full day of office for those elected in the January elections, as old politicians voted out were stripped of their positions and the newly elected officials ushered into office.
Currently the Senate remains under the grip of the Libertarians, however that grip has loosened somewhat giving the Labor and Conservative Parties more elbow room to operate. Although the Conservatives and Libertarians agree on most issues, most Conservatives have been quoted as remarking that they still need enough power to institute some of their policies, something which may still not happen. The House of Commons still firmly lies under the Libertarians' grip.
The Council of Lords, on the other hand, is where the Libertarians faltered this election. The Libertarians currently hold a mere eight seats on the Council compared to their majority of eighteen last term. Meanwhile, the Conservatives have managed to gain the majority of sixteen while the Labor Party trails in second at ten. Both CravEco and the Communist Party of Cravan have settled at four seats each on the Council.
The Libertarians shined, however, in the elections for the cabinet. An all-Libertarian cabinet was elected this term, and at its helm is the leader of the Libertarian Party, Mrs. Elizabeth Anagrams. Anagrams, who served four consecutive terms on the Council of Lords on the Libertarian ticket, was sworn in to the office of Primary Director yesterday, and assumed office for the first time today.

Anagrams's first act as Primary Director was the appointment of numerous officials into her cabinet for the unelected positions. Most notably, Anagrams chose former Director of the GASN Sir David Koslin to serve as her Deputy Primary Director. Also among her choices were Sir Leroy Webbings as Director of Foreign Affairs and Jennifer Halsey as her Director of Intelligence.
Anagrams's future plans include mostly the consolidation of Cravanian forces in the Overseas Territories and their fortification against possible attack, as well as the solidification of Cravan as an economic power on the international scale. Time will only show if her goals are accomplished, though. ~GTNN Online
