"In the middle of the journey of our life I came to myself within a dark wood where the straight way was lost."

A man walked through the forests of this strange land he knew nothing about. He walked and walked, going through the forests, going over logs, stepping on branches and twigs until he saw an opening in the forest, light coming out. He advanced slowly towards it and when he entered it, he saw plains and mountains.

He came down onto the plains from the forests and sat down on a tree stump, contemplating this strange land. The man did not know where he was, he was far from home, and so he sat there, contemplating his situation. What he did not know was that he was in Riverworld, filled with people resurrected from past centuries. Was this man one of those people?

The man sitting on a tree stump looked at the man coming towards him. He stood up and fixed his robes and then listened to the man introducing himself and asking about where they were.

"I am Dante Alighieri, and I do not know where we are."

General Yue Fei looked at Dante and said

"That would be a good idea, if there are other people here, they may help us in finding information about this place." Dante said.

Heinz Guderian was sitting in his command car as the attack on the Soviets. He left the car as the attack progressed and headed up a hill to watchits oucome from a point of vantage. On the way the sound of artillery mad e hims dive. He dove down and after the shell hit he stood and looked around. The place he was want the same as the place he was. He was in a place completly different. The vast Russian steppes no longer spread outward, instead forest and grass were reaching as far as the eye could see.

A tall man with a hawkish nose, long black hair, a muscular build and who moved with a lithe but regal grace and pace strode along a path when he heard the sounds of converstion, the first he'd heard since awakening in the strange land.

Moving off the path he spotted two strange men, speaking with each other. Pausing he examined them for a moment and noted none were armed before stepping into the clearing.

The air was clear as the tall man with dark brown hair walked down the gassy field until he stopped when he saw two men, an Asian and a white man in robes, talking. He walked up and greeted them.
"Hello", the former President said.

As Dante talked to the general, he noticed another man coming towards him, and he stopped talking to get a look at him. It seemed to Dante that he was not the only one in the area, perhaps these other people did not know where they were either.

Dante then heard the former President's greeting, he turned to look to see Ronald Reagan, and Dante said "Hello" back to him before sitting back down on the tree stump, contemplating his situation. Where were these people, what was this place, was there anyone else here? Those questions would be answered later.

Guderian noticed voices coming through the woods. They didnt sound Russian so he headed for them hoping someone could explain this to him.

Where were these people, what was this place, was there anyone else here? Those questions would be answered later.

Reagan sat across from Dante and said,
"Wow, it is Dante Aligheri, you were in my books! Am I dreaming now? I was just at my home in California, and now I'm here. I have hust one question, although you cannot speak English, 'Is this Heaven?'"

"Who are you and what is this place?" Came a voice that bore tones of command, ones unuse to argument, or delay.

"If I knew then I could tell you", Reagan said, "but I do have this suspicion that we are in heaven."

"You believe this to be heaven. I must instead refute that for Saint Michael the Archangel did not convey me to Heaven." He replied plainly. "This is also neither Purgatory nor Hell but something different."

Heinz walked towards the sounds of the people that were gathering, by the souds of it they were just as confused as he was. He saw some dressed in clothing of older origin and another wearing far more formal clothing.

"Heil." He said dubiously as he approched the group.

"Mine is Louis." Louis replied as he examined the man with the strange name of 'Ron'.

ooc: By the way, I've scrapped the listed character and am going with Louis.

Dante looked at Heinz from his tree stump and said "Greetings" to this other general who had joined the group, this group with people like Ronald Reagan as members. Dante stood up on his tree stump and got a look of the plains and mountains, this was an unknown land, but were there other people who inhabited these lands, or was this group the only inhabitants?

General Yue saw as the other people and begin to come up with a plan


I Think we should find the Leader of this strange world he has the answer we need probably said General Yue Fei

"What are you and who are you?" Louis asked somewhat suspiciously, when he noticed the man, as while the others were of 'normal' skin tones, Yue was asian and thus something completely alien to him.

Heinz was still suspicious of some of these people. The one that said hello was strange and and seemed mystic. The asian was a chinese, and the others Guderian could tell where of familar backgrounds. The people seemed to be friendly so he relaxed slightly.

General Yue looked at him and said

Louis raised an eyebrow at Yue's decleration, immediately dismissing the man as a lunatic or perhaps simply a simpleton for he spouted nonsense.

General Yue Fei dont like want he was read off his body language knowing that he thought that he was crazy or stupid

"I was christened as Louis-Dieudonné." Came the reply without further elaboration.

General Yue Looked and Said

Reagan's finger pointed in the general direction of south.

Finally somebody who actually would like to action and instead of waiting around and talking are selfs to death said General Yue Fei
