In the heart of the TPF, at the ACA training base, a dark plot was being formed. The recently completed biological weapons center was under immediate use. The anti-Stalin was inside with a few of the top TPF geneticists. He had set up a program that allowed the doctors to use a computer to modify the DNA of a virus on a computer screen, and see what the results would be, without actually creating the virus in real life. A plan had been set for testing. They had samples of mononucleosis, the common cold, ebola, and SARS all at the base, and their viral DNA had been uploaded to the computer. The SARS sample was the strongest one known. It had the capabilites to infect someone through touch. It was the geneticists job to isolate this part of the DNA. Then they would move on to the mono and find what made it take so long to develop, then on to the cold to find the syptoms strand, and to ebola to find the deadly bloodieness.
OOC: This has to take time to be realistic.

One of the scientists approached anti-Stalin. "I believe I have found something. This strand of the DNA of mononucleosis is almost directly opposite this strand of ebola. With permission, I wish to swap these strands and test it on a patient."
"Certainly" replied anti-Stalin. "Bring in prisoner number one!" A guard marched in the helpess prisoner. He was sent into a sealed area, and the scientists finished rewriting the nucleotide sequence of the ebola DNA to have the mononucleosis strand instead of the ebola strand. The scientists then placed the sample in a syringe, and in full hazmat suits, carried the syringe into the sealed area and injected it into the prisoner. They then left. The observation period was now beggining.

The experiment had been better than planned. They had successfully isolated the DNA of mononucleosis that makes it slow developing and transferred it into ebola. They had the worlds first slow devloping ebola virus. Unfortunately, they were running into roadblocks elsewhere. Already they had ditched the idea of having cold syptoms originally to mask the ebola virus, as it simply wasn't feasible. The project was also taking longer than anyone had expected. But patience is a virtue, and the ACA had plenty of it. If only they could isolate the dna in their SARS sample that made it pass through skin to infect people. If only.

Another breakthrough had been made. The geneticists believed that they had made the final one. They had discovered the strand that made the SARS virus transmittable through touch. However, when they examined the modified ebola virus, however, they could not find a similar strand to replace. After endless hours of searching, the scientists gave up looking. They simply added the new strand on to the end. Little did they know they had created a monster. They called in a new prisoner. He was brought into the sealed room, and injected with the new virus. Almost immedeately, the prisoner cryed out in pain. Within 5 minutes, blood was gushing out of his orfices, and after 7 minutes, his limp body was pale on the floor, the last drops of blood oozing out of him. Apparantly, the new strand of DNA made ebola move extremely fast in its progression if added at the end. It was back to the drawing board.
OOC: Next post, probably monday, will result with the final virus and testing. Then it will be time for use.

One of the scientists was toying with the DNA strand when it hit him "How about we attach the SARS strand to the end of the strand that shows how ebola normally spreads?"
"That might work" said anti-Stalin. ""Just give me one second..." Me manipulated the DNA on the screen, and suddenly, it was done. Their project was complete, unless something went wrong in the final testing. This time, two prisoners were brought in. Both would be kept in isolated areas with no chance of spreading the disease. However, one day the subjects would be introduced to one another, and would shake hands, hopefully spreading the disease. Subject 1 was the one infected originally.
