President Harselav sat at his desk with several of his cabinet members debating on the course of action to be taken with a dicator both south and west of Carloginian border. In his mind, Harselav had already made the decision as to what to do, but he would let his cabinet members debate and fuss over the course of action. He was suprised when they elected war in alarming numbers. Action would be taken, and the enemy defeated. He and his generals had already come up with a plan that would take out Kampfers within a week or two.

With he being through with all of his cabinet members he took the burden on himself to go and tell his people what was going to happen. He was attended by a large security detail, and the police to watch for any sort of assassination attempts or terrorist attempts in the area. Kampferians had already done them in Fiev. Harselav would never let his citizens of Carloginias City be hit with such actions.

"People of all of Carloginias, I come to you with news. It has been decided that Carloginias is to go to war to remove a repressive dictator from power in Kampfers. He squanders his countries' wealth with holding an immense military that he cannot afford. He is doing a diservice to his people, putting them through atrocities that have only been seen in the past. As your president I cannot allow these atrocities be commited just west of us.

Furthermore we have evidence that Kampferians paid by the government had begun a terrorist attack on our beloved city of Fiev. Carloginias stand united, stand strong, and most of all stand resiliant to the actions of Kampfers. They are a country that deserves freedom from a opressive Furher. Thank-you"

Military Movements

Before the speech had been given by President Harselav, 20 B-2 Stealth bombers were sent from their air bases to bomb Kampferian air bases. The night was cold and their target was to remove Kampferian planes from action. By doing this Carloginias would have air superiority in the war, easily bringing it to a quick end with victory. Each B-2 was armed with a payload of 16,800 pounds. Their goal would be achieved with ease. 10 bombers left 10 minutes before the last 15 in order for them to bomb both the interior of Kampfers and the bordering lands of Carloginias. All well within the range of the bombers.

Field Marshal George Jones looked at his army with a grim face. All of his soldiers knew about Jones' grim face. Many speculated why he had that face. All of Carloginias expected a quick victory over the underdevelped Kampferians; but Jones was no fool. He looked at war with a passion. He loved it. He didn't love all of the killing but he loved the sheer thrill of victory. Harselav had ordered him especially to the front because Jones was one of the best Carloginias had to offer, and he woulden't let Carloginias down in a time of need.

The army advanced to be 10 miles outside the city of Shipka, where they promptly opened fire on the city with their vast artillery (The 155mm guns firing). Tanks held themselves on the flanks of the army, artillery were in the front raining hell on Shipka and the men of the army were situated on trucks. The Carloginian army focused on three major objectives speed, mobility, and fire power. The current objective of this army was to capture the city of Kishinev.

Field Marshal Jimmy Wellington was a man of action. He was a very charismatic man who is loved by his men who think of him as a living legend. The men of his army are almost eager to die for this man who has devoted so much to them in the past. He called for a general advance to the city of Malko-Tarnovo where he arrived 20 miles outside of the city and he, like Jones, fired upon the city knowing that the townspeople would either be demolished or surrender to his firepower.

Fleet admirial Harselav smiled. He was slightly disappointed by Kampfer's lack of a navy, but it would be fun enforcing the embargo Carloginias placed on Kampfers. This message was broadcasted world wide-

The Bosphourous has been closed to the oppressive dictatorship of Kampfers. All ships bound for Kampfers will be turned around at the pass, and be asked to return to their home waters until after the war is out. Ships bound for Carloginias can head through the sea of Marma to Istanbul, or Southern Turkey. (This is probably a bit more convienent for ship captains anyway) Shipping will return to normal after the war.

The ships under Harselav were to stay around the Bosphourous for the time being.

Colonel Gerhard Pratt was the second most experienced leader the SDI had to offer aside from the General himself, with combat experience in Agnolia, The Battle of Millenium Valley, and numerous other skirmishes against rebel forces. This was the largest Army ever granted under his control, and he planned to make history as the commander of the largest mercenary force in a full-scale military operation. Along with the help of his Carloginian employers, he planned to win.

Fuhrer Richtoff saw the news the same time everyone else did. Now it was being broadcast all around the KNN, and the civilians were screaming for a response. It was thus, that the Fuhrer of Kampfers, sat down in a chair at a table very much like the ones used at a post football game press conference. A few reporters filed in to the room, along with their camera crews. Soon, Richtoff would be addressing the whole world. The cameras began rolling. Richtoff took a deep breath, and began.

Ladies and Gentlemen of Kampfers, of the World,
I come to you today under much diress. The nation of Kampfers faces the monstrosity of crisis. As many of you know, our eastern neighbors of Carloginias have declared war on us today. We peace loving Kampferians tend not to involve ourselves in international affairs, except when one nation threatens another who is directly around us. It was thus that we went to war with Shakal. However, we were able to keep the casualties to a minimum by quickly signing a treaty in which the Shakilian government removed their troops from the countries they had invaded. It was thus that we preserved the soveriegnty of our neighboring nations, and felt little of the pain that comes from the loss of life. Now, these insolent Carloginians accuse us of being terrorists. They accuse me of maintaining an army so large that the economy crumbles. They even call me oppressive! I ask you, are either of these accusations truthful? NO! Have we ever harbored terrorists in Kampfers? NO! Have we ever supplied or trained them? NO! Are you a terrorist? Am I? Ladies and Gentlemen, you know that that answer is no. Citizens, we maintain an army that pails in comparison to most of the forces in the world today. We skimp and save so much, that we have abandoned the thought of having a navy as we could not fit the cost into our meager military budget. Currently, I had entered into talks with other nations in hope of rebuilding this economy, which foreign invaders had forced upon us. These Carloginians do not want us to rebuild our economy. They wish for us to remain a nation where many live below the poverty line. They cannot bear to see their neighbor rise out of the depths of deppression into a golden age. THAT is why they are attacking us. Finally, they go so far as to call me oppressive. While I am a dictator, have I ever done anything that was not in the best interests of the nation? Have I ever done anything tht went against the universal rights of men? Was I not lawfully elected into this position? Citizens, ou know who tells the truth and who decieves. Let us not fall into the hands of these foreign warmongerers. Let us rise up, and defend our nation. Now I ask you, world. Judge us. Judge them. We have done nothing wrong, yet still they invade us. Will you come to our aid? Or will you stand back and watch as a helpless nation gets destroyed by a giant? Ladies and gentlemen... One moment please... Richtoff puts his hand on his ear and pushes in his earpiece. My God! Ladies and gentlemen, the Carloginians have begun their attack. And what do they do? Do they attack our military outposts? Do they strike at our capital? NO! They use artillery and shell defenseless towns! Towns in which no soldier has set foot in! Ladies and gentlemen, the choice is yours. I only hope you make the right one. This latest development has left no time for questions. I am sorry. I must attend to my nation.

With that, Richtoff got up and walked off the screen. While he was standing up a tear was visible upon his face. This was the nation that he loved. This was the nation he had dreamt of leading. This was the nation that he now lead. This was a nation that was now being crushed by foreigners.

OOC: Ok how are you getting your soldiers to the fronts? Seriously, you can't just say they arrived their, you have to RP a build-up which would easily tip off the Kampferian Defense that something was going on. It's really hard to disquise 300,000 troops going anywhere.

Second, B-2 Stealth Bombers can be detected on radar, their just alot smaller then a normal bomber would be. And when are you launching these things? During the day, when the'll be spotted by everything from Business people to dogs?

OOC: Carlo, does my Mercenary Artillery have permission to launch MRLS and artillery strikes on Malko-Tarnovo? Or are we just straight-up moving in with our mass of men?

OOC: So, how would I get to Kampf's aid then, I guess I could just barge through anyway, (although I probably won't), maybe I could coerce somebody to let me through?

OOC: With my current navy, I'd say it'd be a bad idea to attempt to stop me, since I even have recommissioned the Iowa, and the Missouri...

Granate, Russia is a big nation, if he were at Cold War levels (for whatever reason maybe Carloginias has had a rough past or something.), 300,000 troops to those Fronts would not be unheard of, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just trying to... I dunno cool tensions or something...

While Animarnia remains neutral in the current conflict we throw our full diplomatic weight behind Kampfers in hoping for a peaceful solution to this conflict. We would advise Carloginias to back down in this matter or release evidence linking Kampfers to the terrorist attacks to the international community.

2 days before the Carloginias attack

All the top Kampferian generals were gathered in the breifing room. The introductions could wait until later. Fuhrer Richtoff walked into the room carrying the latest breifing. None of the Generals knew what that report contained, but they knew it was damn important. Richtoff walked to his chair and sat. All the Generals were already seated, not out of disrespect, but as it was customary when time was of the essence. Richtoff opened the breifing and began to speak. A projecter at the far end of the room was ready to show pictures upon the screen. "Good sirs, as we speak, Carloginian troops begin to mass on our borders. We believe they move to strike, and strike hard. Here are the latest sattellite photos, showing their movement. A wise investment, eh? The pictures flash up on the projecter. A few gasps are heard, as there is a huge number of men in the picture. Their preemptive targets are Moldova and Bulgaria. This is where they have moved their troops, and we must respond with all speed. As such, our defenses must be in place rapidly. There is no time to evacute the civilians. General Koffer, you are in charge of our Special Operations. Do what you can to spread anger among the civilians. Propoganda, whatever. Also, begin arming them. We have a large stockpile of old AK-47's and RPG's from our past (ooc: gotta love the soviets). Give them to young men first, then spread to all capable men. Start with the major population centers in Bulgaria and Moldova. Start the resistance now, before it is needed, so that when we are no longer able to support it, it will be able to stand on its own two feet. As the Carloginian Army moves inward, move to cities in other regions. As for now, however, these regions are our primary focus. General Klischten. You will be commanding the forces in the Moldova Front. Here is a map of the region. A map flashes up on the projector. Many cities are marked, not all in the same color. We expect this region to be the main focus of the Carloginian attack, as it is closer to their heart. We want to have a layered defense system. Besides our pre-existing military structures at Lipcani and Bender, these cities marked with red will be our first line defenses. We want to concentrate most of our forces in these cities. The first layer cities are Ocnita, Soroca, Ritonita, Dubasari, Causeni, Comrat, and Vulcanest. The Capital, Chisipau, is also of first line importance due to the probability of air strikes at that location. These first line cities may be abandoned if another city is attacked, if sattelite evidince confirms that they have not divided their force. We are currently re-routing our sattelite to make passes over the areasunder attack as much as possible. If, for some reason, the first line becomes comprimised, all remaining soldiers will fall back to the second line. The garrison of troops already at the second line will have prepared defenses and suprises for the invaders, so fighting should be tougher there. When and if the first line is abandoned, destroy all things that would be of use to the enemy. Runways, gunpowder, whatever. The Second Layer cities are Iargara, Hincesti, Orhu, Balti, and Edinct. These cities will be garrisoned, but not as heavily as the first line cities. The garrisons will have time to make improvements, and should do so instead of squandering their time. Finally, there is one third line city in Moldova. Should it fall, the Moldova Region is lost. That city is Ungheni. The same plan will be in effect for the Bulgaria Region. A map of Bulgaria with cities marked in the same fashion as the Moldova map flashes up. General Ludwig will be in command there. The first line cities are Elkhovo, Turnovo, and Sofia, the capital. Second line cities are Khaskovo, Sliven, Burgas, and Varna. The third line cities are Plovdiv, Montana, Lovech, and Ruse." The meeting drug on for a few more minutes, then slowly broke up.

Our navy will not get very close to you - simply near the entrance so that Calizorinstan doesn't get through.

Today the Empeor has called for the levy of the millitias, around 100,000 self taught men will come on duty serving in minor roles such as border police and customs. The regular army is being brought to full strength as the reserves are called up. the Emperor has assured his people that it is best to be armed in suc a time of uncertainty. The Divine Legion also is coming onto full alert, as the Bishops order that the interior of Waldenburg must be secure or all military measures are for nothing.

OOC: Damn you for making the bombers go at night! Oh well, if thats how you want to play...

IC:

General Klischten had just finished setting up his heaquarters in Sofia. From there he could view the radar from all across the Moldova front. Suddenly, one one screen, a few blips appearred. "What is that?" Klischten questioned.

"Well, sir, it's either 10 pigeons flying in formation followed by 10 more pigeons doing the same, or I'd say were about to get bombed."

"Fools!" Klischten knew how to bomb a target, and this was not it. There was a full moon out, so he called up the leader of the garrison at Fort Bender. "Excuse me sir, are you reading what I'm reading on your radar?"

"What, that flock opf pigeons? Sure am."

"Look outside, near the moon. Are there any birds?" The commander did as he was told. As he was looking at the moon, one of the B-2's passed over it, causing the night to be pitch black for a moment.

"Holy shit! Were going to get bombed!"

"Unless you do something about it commander. They are fools. They did not deploy any chaff or white noise. For that matter, they didn't use any ECM's (Electronic Counter-Measures). Well, are their readings clear enough to get a SAM lock?"

"I believe so. Hold on a minute..." The commander retreated into his command room and pulled the alarm button. All lights immedeately flashed on at the base. Soldiers ran out of the barracks to man the SAM sites. "Lock acquired, firing in three... two... one... fire!" A woosh was heard as the missile went streaking towards the lead bomber. All accross the base, the same result was heard. A total of 15 missiles were fired at the lead group of bombers, and 20 were fired at the secondary group. None should make it to their targets that night.

In both Shipka and Molko-Tarnovo, white flags were quickly ran up. There were no soldiers there. There was no need for the death of thousands of citizens unneccessarily. Unfortunately, the short amount of bombardment had still had disastrous effects. In Shipka, the town elementary school had been obliterated, killing the children and teachers inside. In Molko-Tarnovo, the city hall had been smashed, ruining a great historical and cultural piece of architecture.

OOC: For RPing's sake, strike at one of my cities where my soldiers are next time...

Droskian Free News

Today both houses of parliament elected to allow all materials that are being traded between any nations, may be allowed to pass through Droskianishk if their current trade paths are blocked because of the Kampferian/Carloginias conflict. It is hoped that this permission, coupled with a 1% value trade tax, will help with Droskianishks building economy.

The wind blew heavily rippling the pennants and flags arrayed on the sprawling naval complex, both civilian and military ships made this there home. On the Oresund strait Waldenburg held the pulse of Baltic and was hardly going to let it go. On every side, gun embankments, missiles and patrol ships watched this tiny stretch of water. It was perhaps unwise to build the Capital here, one attack and the entire country would go up in smoke. And everywhere teemed the life of millions of people, under the Church and under an Emperor so far removed from the general population, the Empire seemed ready to break apart.

"..let us make it right then." Several Bishops watchd the Oresund from convocation hall of St. Micheals Cathedral. It had once been the hightest building in the city and cast a shadow upon the strait, here we are and here we stay it had said in all to simple form to merchants from hundreds of years. Power had changed so little the Church still loomed, still made Emperor puppets and stilled had hands eveywhere.

"War will be our tool on which we hammer out heresy, our conquests will benefit mankind till all life is snuffed out." Several of the Bishop's attmpted to cross themselves, hardly spilling any of the brandy they were enjoying at all.

The Retribution was dispatched to the mouth of the strait where the battle fleet was waiting it signalled for the fleet to follow, and began a fast pace down the canal. Usually it was about ten Km's across but got down to about four at it's shorter points. It usually took about thirty minutes to navigate the channel and the Calizorinstan fleet seemed to be making better time then most.

"You know the irony of it all amazes me. How all the players arranged themselves for their own destruction. The sum of all their fears is their pettiness, thier ungodliness, their morale corruption. Every so often their morailty must be rinsed clean with the blood that does sustain them. the world needs us weather they know it our not and humanity shall bend on it's knees in thanks once the final judgement comes." Harold Thousis was a impossing man nearly two meters tall with long grey hair and a twig thin body. He had commanded thousands of men in battle personally overseen the executions of additional thousands. He was a very modern man of the Chruch.

"When will they be in place?" Thousis asked as he looked out of his study in the Mongolfier building. Once he had lived in the Cathedral but he much perefered the high life, and the finacial markets were so much more interasting then the toudry ones of the soul. Above head there was harrier flight giveing a flyby, the colors of Green and Gold trailing out behind them. The general population was acting slightly bemusedly, but they didn't often know why the military did anything.

"The strait is heavily defended at all points say the word and we shall wipe clear heathen." A minor deacon, dressed in a suit looked out with the Cardinal, Chruch heirarchy didn't matter so much outside of the guilded halls of power.

The Cardinal moved to his desk and pressed a button next to a speaker, "Stomp the Heathen." It was the command, that would begin the war.

Oresund 4 Missile Battery:

"That was it identify targets and prepare to fire!" Orders had been given long before the Calizorinstan battle fleet was even going to arrive in the Baltic. And the Oresund was a nodule of military technology, every inch was covered with something. "Fire Fire!" Two missiles launched out at blinding speeds from an old bunker left from a hundred years ago. All up and down the Strait similar attacks were being made, there were fifty total stations all launching two missiles as soon as they were loaded.

With only five miles at most between the launching stations and the Calizorinstan naval target it would take the missiles only about 15 seconds to make their targets. It would take no more then a minute for even the furthest missiles. The message had been on only the most basic encryption level a civilian with a piece of paper could hve figured it out in a minute. And even if they had it was only lyrics to a hymn.

The WIS Retribution picked it up too and swivled it's rear guns and opened fir on the convoy behind it. It also had a compliment of missiles which it used liberaly on the lead Calizorinstan ship. The battlecruisers guns were echoed by a few shore guns, and the harriers overhead were certainly about to add to the fun within a few seconds. There were only six of them but it added a certain element that had been missing before. The trap was set, and at point blank their fleet would not escape, cause damage maybe but would not be able to turn it's carriers and flee.

"Stomp the heathen everyone prepare to launch!" The flight tower was soon braking into sound this was it, this was war. This portion was only a small force enough to soften the area and nothing else. "Once you enter Kampferian Airspace target anything military looking, release your load and retunr for rearmament attempt to stay away from thier fighters, do not seek them out. In four hours the army will move through. good luck everyone." the flight officer slauted and hurried his pilots out the door to idling planes.

recap Calizorinstan's fleet attacked, Kampers betrayed

The A-6SJ Intruder's pressed attack's on the Waldenburg naval station's, and attacked the Waldenbrugian barrack's, and the F/A-15's dropped several bomb's, but what the Waldenburgian's had forgot was that the Phalanx CIWS could detect and and attack such target's in less then a 5 second's, and thus the Phalanx took down the missile's easily, and some missle's were shot down by more CIWS, and the guided missle crusier's detected the launch from the Waldeburgian battery, and fired 2 Tomahawk's at the battery's location.

The Second Fleet had already launched some EA-6B Intruder's, and F/A-15N fighter's, which were bombing the heck out of the Waldenburgian base's along the canal, the Calizorinstani fleet wasn't going to abandon Kampfer's without a fight...

Official Shakal Communication

Due to the recent collapse of resistance in Africa and the invasion of our Kampferian neighbors the Shakal are mobilizing 100 000 extra troops to defend the homeland.

The Shakal fleet moved into the Aegean. The Supercarrier Titan and the Ragnarok Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier were headed for Thessalonki. With them were 8 Cruisers, 5 Frigates, and 20 Destroyers. They waited for further orders upon arrival.

Shakal troops crossed the border quietly and in huge numbers 120 000 men were marching. They passed all citizens with waves and speed. The army was under General Kluge and would await further command upon entering Bratislava.

Fuhrer Richtoff was worried. This was even more alarming than the Carlo attack, for many reasons. For one, It was a lot closer to the Capital. This was good, yet how did he know they did not plan to betray him also? It did not matter, he needed the help. He deployed 100,000 reserves to the new front and 30,000 professional soldiers. They would be aided by 100 Leopard 2A4 tanks, the best Kampfers could now spare, and 100 more tank destroyers. Hopefully Shakal would arrive in time...

We will not move into the Kampferian territory until your order, but for now we will just soften them up.

Over 120 Artillery and MRLS units had arrived with the rest of the Mercenaries, and now, with targeting information supplied by satellites, the crews were ready to fire.

"All crews, please check in at this time." announced the Artillery Commander, a Major, over the radio.

"Kilo 1, check." Said a GV6 artillery leader. The Kilo codenames were all GV6s.

"Kilo 2, check."

"All X-Rays, check." said the X-Ray Artillery leader. X-Ray was the GV7s.

The Valkiri and Bateleurs also reported in, and once ready, the targeting data was entered.

"Okay, all forces are in-check," said the Major. "You know your orders. Half of you begin from the West, the other half from the East. Rake the sons of bitches across the board for the ground forces. The cross-fire will get most of 'em. Any questions?" With no reply, he went on. "Fire at will."

The Artillery did what they were told, one half beginning in the East at Turnevo, and the other in the West at Malka-Turnovo. The artillery and MRLS began to rake across the terrain, both halves of the force trading off targets while they scorched and bombarded the two cities and all the other things between.

Greetings friends; We can send the shipment as requested via Shakel; the SS Potempkin will be leaving as soon as possible and will likely be underway as your eyes cast over this. She will be carrying the flame tanks, the Rifles and enough 6.88mm BAUR Rounds and general-purpose ammunition to fight a war for 3 months. Our Factories at the moment are producing the JB168 at capacity. Today President Kaliem Kalied made a speech declaring that Parliament had voted to remain neutral in the European war waging to the north, in order to preserve peace in the middle east as Animarnia had already pledged its support of Kampfers. While President Kalied was calm and restrained during his speech a follow up by vice president Muhammad Musharaf was far more spirited:

OOC: Ah, sorry Kampf, I'm new, I'll make my next post more realistic anyhow, sorry about that, and I am a bit tired when I wrote that last one..

OOC damnit knew something was off sorry. I usually perfer it that way anyhow, I like one large post encompassing eveything. Now was no one of those time I was just on autopilot.

The wings of harriers flew low to the ground, they were manuverable planes and change quickly , but for now they scanned the target area and anything remotely military they would target and destory with either bombs or rockets. The Strasglibben fighters flew slightly higher and behind, if an attack came from the front, which it probably wouldm the harriers would act as bait for the air superiority fighters behind. Stomp the Heathen was go and few things that looked like gun emplacements and border checks were fired at. There wasn;t much seconbd guessing even civilian targats would do in a pinch. the ground had to be open for the Infantries assault.

OOC: Yay! I can shoot you down!

On the ground that the Harriers were approaching stood a small village. Inside that village there was a small Kampferian outposts, including 2 SAM Batteries. However, there was an estimated 150 civilians in the village as well. The SAM batteries picked up the incoming aircraft, and began to fire, targeting the bombers. Two AA guns were also in the village, and they opened up on the bombers as well. Suddenly, the two prototype squadrons screeched overhead. Moving at over Mach 3, they shot past the fighters, who were their primary target before the Cardinals arrived. The Kampferian planes slammed back on their throttles, experiencing heavy G's, and swung around behind the Waldenburg fighters. The G's were too much for a normal pilot to stand that kind of decelleration, but all these pilots had been tested for that capability. They opened up with their machine guns, and each began work acquiring locks on the fighters. Soon, 10 air to air missiles were screeching up on the tails of Waldenburg fighters.

OOC: Deal with that, will ya. Also, my cardinals wil arrive in 2 posts, about the same time you should ht my first major military outpost.

The missiles came out of nowhere, winding up in strange patterns before swatting six harriers out of the air. The others, with a clumsy grace that only the harrier could provide. Bucked and weaved away from the others, and with the assistance of chaffe (sp?) spewed through the waves of harriers. That however left the four missiles heading back to the Superiority fighters who were not so generously equipt, although with the fighters that had just arrived at mach three behind the Waldenburger wing, maybe jsut a little dodgin was neccesary.

The bomber wing was oblvious to this as it fired a liberal spitzing of rockets into the village where oncoming anti air fire was coming. The old sort, while driving the wing apart didn't seem to have a huge effect on shooting the harriers out of the sky. About thirty rockets, two bombs, and vast amounts of cannon fire were poured onto the town in a quick flyby by the harriers. Who instead of checking to see if the obstacle, had been removed, made a quick turn around and attempted to lock onto the enemy who had recently jumped behind their supperiority wing.

The Strassglibbens had dodged all but one of the SAM missiles but had fallen pray to the weapons of the mysterious fighters who had pulled up short behind them. 8 Fighters were now missing, with another two being persued madly by missiles who were inevitably gaining ground. It didn't seems as if there would be any more missiles from them, as quarters wer becoming close and cannons were starting to be used.

"Aqquire targets and fire," the harriers, mostly stripped of anti air weapons only could deploy a few dozen missiles and then charge with cannons blazing, taking the oppertunity to drop another two bombs on the village.

OOC: Bye Bye!

IC: The prototype fighters saw the harriers swinging around. As such, they climbed up a few hundred feet and floored their thrusters. The planes shot off into the the distance, becoming just a spack in the sight of the Waldenburg planes. The harriers had done some damage, as one of the prototypes had to return to Kampfers Stadt as a cannon had ripped a few holes in its wing. It was not fatal, but it would ground the plane for a while. The missiles hung with the planes for a while, but they could not mach the pure speed of the prototypes. The missiles turned around, and began to acquire new targets.

The remaining 9 fighters looped back to the side. They would enter in the side of the conflict when the Cardinals arrived at the front.

The village, meanwhile, was a picture of destruction. The SAM sites had been able to squeeze off 1 more round apiece. Then, the village exploded in flames. Only one of the old AA guns was left, and a few civilian homes remained.

OOC: Since you turned around, your arrival at the base should be delayed. My cardinals won't be.

OOC Considering your Cardinals are travelling at slightly under 3X's what my wings are doing I don't think I would have made it anyway. Nor do I really want to...

What exactly are the prototype fighters? I found the cardinals (then spent four hours hiding in a closet in fear of Kamperfian air power) but not quite sure of the prototypes are.

Once the enemy had gone there was a certain amount of confusion, if they wouldn't stand and fight this was going to be a very truobling camopaign. The harriers could outmanuever anything in a very special way, but not for that exact reason out race them. After two minutes of confused flying, and another harrier being taken out, they were setting out again, flying slightly higher and spread out more, in flanks, and phalanxs. The air superiority fighters who had lost their value when the mysterious craft had pulled in behind them, were now intermixed with the harrier wings. Luckily the flight ws to big for a two demensional battle and if Kampfers tried that again attacks would be coming from multiple angles and directions.

The flight continued venturing ever further occasionally straffing the roads, or surronding countryside when they saw something military or just fun to shoot. Air command had autherizied anyhting, and occasionally a phosphrus rocket would be sent into a underlying sleepy village to keep them on their toes. This probably was not a good plan but Waldenburg when faced with rebellion would simply kill everyone, stack their bodies and set fire them. It had been done before, entire cities had been emptied and their populations killed in as many ingenious ways as priests with a dartboard could think of. Waldenburg pressed on into unknown country.

In response to the Invasion of the nation of Kampfers, the Republican Monarchy of Granate has passed legislation through both the Royal Parliament and the Reichstag allowing the King to declare war. The King, having just returned from a trip in Honakon, immediately used his newfound power to declare war on Carlognias.

Almost instantly, plans were drawn up calling for 250,000 Soldiers to be air-lifted to Kampferian Controlled Macedonia, so that they may be used against the invading forces. Using the 18 C-5 Galaxies, the 35 C-130 Herculeses, the 15 C-17 Globemaster IIIs, and a team of around 50 cargo ships it would take roughly 4 to 6 weeks before the entire force was there. In addition to the 250,000 Troops, 200 Arca. IV Nakíl/Nakíl 1s, 350 Arica I Shalmanesars, and 420 SOV.17 Ejíards will be sent via freighters through the Suez. They should arrive in Shakal held Greece and will then head out to the rally point in Macedonia.

The small task force in the Gulf of Aden, which was stationed there during the Dijibouti crisis, will shadow the transports to the Suez Canal and to Greece. Once there, they will begin operations against the Black Sea Fleet. No word yet on what the rest of the Navy will do in Operation: Blood Red Sandman.

Following the vile betrayal of the Waldenburg nation, the Republican Empire is currently freezing any and all assets owned by the Waldenburg Government and any companies in Waldenburg. Although Granate has not declared war on Waldenburg, it is unlikely that Granatian Soldiers will be told not to shoot at Waldenburgian Soldiers.

In slightly better news, the first company of soldiers arrived in Macedonia yesterday. They were cheered on by the small, yet very loud, crowd. They were soon joined by the second and third companies in Macedonia and quickly their numbers ballooned. By the end of the week, analysts say that 5,000 troops will be in Macedonia, with the first Cargo ships arriving sometime after that.

The Navy has finally outlined it plans for Operation: Blood Red Sandman. Two of it's Aircraft Carriers, plus an escort of around 7-10 vessels will head out to the Western Pacific Ocean, towards the Carlognias coastline. Near the city of Vladivostok they will begin to destroy it's use for commercial trade. After that, it's anyone's guess where they will head.

Shakal 3rd Army HQ

General Kluge sat in his armored car as it headed for Bohemia. His armored units were moving fast to try and reach the Kampferian capital before the forces of Waldenburg. He sent his 750 Nakil tanks to the front of hte column with the mechanized and motorized forces just behind. He would have very limited resources until the campaigns into Turkey and the former Yugoslav were completed. The 9 divisions had just began to reach there positions for rest. The Luftwaffe was providing cover against spy planes and even though the Empire was not yet at war he was ordered to fire against any attack against them.

Deck Of Titan

The Shakal fleet reached its holding position in the Aegean. Its mission was to try and cloak the 4 gathering Shakal divisions in South Greece. They would be ready to go in just three days.

Shakal Balkan HQ

Manstein made sure all was progressing well. The 4 divisions were moving into Albania and Bosnia. The attack would be covered by 45 Su-37, 15 X-02, and 15 F/A-22 Raptors. The might of the Luftwaffe was aimed at covering the Shakal forces as they readied for the war proper.

Upon hearing of the illegal siezure of Waldenburger funds and assests, all Nationals of Granate inside the Empire have been detained pending charges, although the Emperor hinted they would all be handed over to the Chruch should Granate not withdraw it's siezures.( this includes property and assests) Any warship of the Gratian people entering the European field will be destroyed without question as harboring malevolent thoughts to His Majesty and the most Divine Waldenburg Empire.

OOC (Here is my suspension of disbelief)

With the support of the Holy Waldenubrger Church Wyatt von Waldenuburg IV declared a state of Peregrinus Sactus Bellum, a holy war to wipe the Church's enemies from the planet. The Kampferian people shall feel the full wrath of a faithful populace. War productions and einlistment have skyroketed as thousands of devout Waldenburgers take the cross, and prepare for their part. Warships and aircraft have been ordered to great numbers and ecclesiastic, and martial law is now in effect, anyone can be arrested for anything and be burned alive for it.

Vice Admiral Opplant, Earl of Aden is ordered from his naval base in Drosk to seal the Strait of Aden against all ships adding support to Kapfers all other ships are allowed through as usaual. Any enemy ships coming within 35 miles of the Waldburger fleet that will not turn back will be destroyed or borded and siezed without hesitation.

OOC Considering your Cardinals are travelling at slightly under 3X's what my wings are doing I don't think I would have made it anyway. Nor do I really want to...

What exactly are the prototype fighters? I found the cardinals (then spent four hours hiding in a closet in fear of Kamperfian air power) but not quite sure of the prototypes are.

Once the enemy had gone there was a certain amount of confusion, if they wouldn't stand and fight this was going to be a very truobling camopaign. The harriers could outmanuever anything in a very special way, but not for that exact reason out race them. After two minutes of confused flying, and another harrier being taken out, they were setting out again, flying slightly higher and spread out more, in flanks, and phalanxs. The air superiority fighters who had lost their value when the mysterious craft had pulled in behind them, were now intermixed with the harrier wings. Luckily the flight ws to big for a two demensional battle and if Kampfers tried that again attacks would be coming from multiple angles and directions.

The flight continued venturing ever further occasionally straffing the roads, or surronding countryside when they saw something military or just fun to shoot. Air command had autherizied anyhting, and occasionally a phosphrus rocket would be sent into a underlying sleepy village to keep them on their toes. This probably was not a good plan but Waldenburg when faced with rebellion would simply kill everyone, stack their bodies and set fire them. It had been done before, entire cities had been emptied and their populations killed in as many ingenious ways as priests with a dartboard could think of. Waldenburg pressed on into unknown country.

Also, the missiles you shot at them should have turned and looked for new targets (which would mean they would be targeting you now).

The damage being done would make for yet another juicy speech for Richtoff. The damage being done to innocent civilians was substantial.

The Cardinals came sweeping in. They were organized into 3 squadrons, and had the element of the first shot. All the cardinals locked on to different planes, and fired off a missile. They then maneuverend in to closer range and began unloading with their cannons.

Meanwhile, the prototype fighters came roaring into the picture again. This time, the came from the Waldenburg plane's unprotected left flank. Roaring in and slowing down, they also acquired locks and fired. They then attempted to maneuver in behind the Waldenburg planes, which might not be hard as the planes were occupied by the oncoming Cardinals.

OOC About the missiles.... most modern missiles travel faster then mach 3 this is just he first one I picked and it's a 1983. You wouldn't have lost them that easily. Besides that I lose 7 Harriers, 8 of the fairly useless now Eurofighter things. So 15:1 to bad. Leaving me 115 left total.


Due to the wings now flying above and below the main, the attack to the left flank was turned upon by fifteen fighters currently holding positions above. As soon as the prototypes were within detection range the fifteen above turned to face them always keeping them with the nose pointed towards the prototype. This time the Waldenburgers had learned and were slightly more prepared. However the Cardinals which appeared before them changed things, and as (How many cardinals) 4 harriers disappeared and another blown aside into the cannon fire of an ally who maintained a death grip on the trigger.

"Predesu Veni Superum," a wing commander shouted through the battle link. Though the fighters did aqquire locks, the Cardinals were opting for cannons which was unwise in the situation as the Waldenburgers returned fire with their's. Nearly a hundred cannons opened up, and due to the sheer size of the flight wing fire was pouring in from all sides and below. It was a well known fact a Harrier would win in a dogfight over anything the enemy could through at you, that was one of it's only advantages. The entire sky was lit up with the concentration of cannon fire, and the few Harrier and quite a few of the remaining Strassglibens that had aqquired missile locks let loose.

"Zaphiel two, should they break off and try to reform intercept them and merge with the group if you are prepared."

"I am sir," a harrier signalled, rather jerkily as two huge fuel air bombs were attached to his wings. Usually they were designed well enough not to go off when hit in the air, but a harrier could reverse it engines mid air if neccesary and pump the heat into the fuel line. It had been one of the small gifts the Church had given to the IAF. Supposedly everyone of the Waldenburger pilots would give his life for his God, and in most cases it was true. "If they make it through us first though Zaphiel," the Commander said sadly as his cannon continued to blaze.

The rear battle was not perceiveid as well. the harriers had thrown of all but two of the missiles and were giving luborious chase to the faster craft, so far they were opting for cannons as their missile supplies were either depleted or reduced. As long as they could keep the prototypes occupied s the rest of the force was scattered and destroyed.

-Granatian Fleet 40 miles from Vladivostok. 4:35 AM-

SIC:

Twelve Granatian vessels gracefully rode the waves near the city. Among the vessels stood two Aircraft Carriers. They were the nuclear powered Lucianus Class and each could carry upwards of forty aircraft. Their aircraft of choice the F/A-15 Cardinal Advanced Strike Bomber. The aircraft were perfect for this mission, which was not one of invasion, but one of pure unadulterated destruction.

Once they were closer to the shore, the Granatian Fleet would launch it's attack on Vladivostok. No landings would be made, only bombing runs by the Cardinals and Hunter-Killer Missions taken on by the Helicopters on the Assault Ships. It would be nearly five o'clock in the morning by the time the mission began, but that was perfect for the mission to begin.

And should any Carlognias ships try to intervene, the three Frigates, the four destroyers, and the two Cruisers would make short work of them. Using their Anti-Ship Missles, they could down an Aircraft Carrier in short work. One Amphibious Assault rounded out the fleet, and it's mission was split between helping destroy Vladivostok and protecting the fleet.

The two P400 class patrol vessels sat sitting in the ocean, waiting for something to happen, as they had been for years - but now they had been informed something was to appear. It was no secret that an impressive Granate fleet was heading for Vladivostok, one of the closest Russian major towns near to the Honakon border. It was in their interests to observe what happened and to make sure neither fleets entered their waters without permission, consider the fact they were so close to the Royal Cove (RL Yellow Sea) the most important area for the navy in the whole of Honakon, and the most protected area by the navy.

And then, they saw it. A huge imposing fleet, still miles away from the port town, but gaining. Their allies were going to war.

Imperial Navy HQ, Boarsa, Les Corees (RL The Koreas) - 4:45am

The Headquarters of the Imperial King's Navy was buzzing with excitement, throughout the whole building. The King had given them three options, and wanted their advisors opinions of it. They either intervene on the side of their current allies Granate, or their future ones Carlo, or sit and watch the show. Surely he should inform Russia some thought, but surely they knew others said. The first two options would be hard to carry out in time anyway, considering the fact that by the time the Granate fleets had arrived they would not be near their, and would only have the two old P400's to use, which were some of the most un-advanced ships of the naval, usually used to patrol non-risk areas and no longer being built by the navy.

The advisors told the King their opinions one by one - their was an obvious victor, this time, they would sit and watch, but the navy would be prepared and more ships, more powerful ships, were to be sent to the Russian side. Merely for the protection of Honakon, of course. The King went along easily with his advisors opinions, though there was a worry in his mind. Could this war, with his prefered side being Carlo's, bring a tift up in such a young alliance between Granate, Futuris, Anim, AB, Cali and Honakon.

Official Corbournnian Declaration

Due to increasing international warfare, we shall be moving to DEFCON 1.

In the mean time, Corbournnian troops occupied Liechtenstein for "its own good."

Alexander Borsk was one of the pilots of the B-2 Spirit bombers heading our towards Kampferian territory he was apart of the first group heading toward their destination he was a fearless young man who had been forced into the military by his father who wanted his son to seek glory by means of battle. Borsk was only too fond of joining the military after the Minister of Defense offered him a desireable position in the Carloginian military- A bomb runner.

Thus far, they had gone on uninterupted until his head phone came on-

"SAMs coming your way, over."

"Right, over."

Borsk was more then surprised when the SAM missle completely avoided him and went out of target. He was more then happy to hear that most of the missles had missed the first group. His co-pilot could barely contain his excitement. The mission would still of course be done. They were right on target, and using the state of the art B-2 GPS 'smart' bombs they would be able to drop their payloads, as expected.

The second group fared much better, both groups total losing 1 plane for a max total of 2 planes. A good run, Borsk would say.

That being done, the bombers flew over their respective targets and dropped hell on them using their GPS tracking systems, aiming specifically at the Kampferian planes. In the next few minutes the second group did the same. It looked like Kampfers woulden't have an airforce afterall.

28miles from the Kampferian army on the Moldovan front the commander of the Carloginian force called for a halt. He decided that he would simply set up and bombard the Kampferian army. The troops, in the trucks made up the center of the formation, with 150 Leopard II tanks on the flanks of the army. Artillery made up the front of the army, with the 155mm behind the 120mm guns. From their position they opened fire upon Kampfer's soldiers at a sustained rate of fire.

On the Bulgarian front, Carloginias called for a general advance to 26 miles from the city of Zvondoc (Incorrect spelling). From their postion they would bombard that city as well until the Kampferian army decided to show themselves to the Carloginian army. Carloginias planned to show the Kampferian people that their dictator cared nothing but for his own self. Some of the things that were happeneing in Southern Bulgaria would prove that to the Kampferian people. To the survivors in both of the cities bombarded, the citizens were treated well and handed pamphlets about Carloginian designs to improve the standard of living of the country.

Kampfer's utter lack of any naval forces would cripple the nation even further as Carloginias could land forces at will. The army was said to land 30 miles from the city of Mangalia, on the Black coast. From there they would move to secure the city and the entire province of Constanta from Kampfers. The army was mobilized in the same formation as the other two armies as they came within striking range of the city (24 miles this time) they promptly began bombarding that city as well.

Pacific Ocean

Scanners reported seeing the Granetian fleet coming close to Carloginian waters. The fleet was rather large and impressive.. but was to be destroyed by Carloginias. The Minister of the navy simply called out to the pacific naval base and ordered three hunting packs of submarines consisting of four subs each.

The plan was for the submarines to intercept the Granetian fleet before it even got close to a Carloginian city. The Virginia Class subs were in posession of 30 Tomahawk missles, while the Los Angelous Class subs were equipped with Mark 48 Torpedos, as were the Virginia Class subs. The Carloginian submarines would await for the Granetian ships to come within 40 miles of the Carloginian coast and then strike.

"In light of recent events I truely think that this is far to dangerous." Mannstein explained to the Empress.

"Who should we fight then?" She asked herself. She didnt want to betray Kampfers by pulling her support out, but if Waldenburg, Carloginias, AND Corbrunne all were fighting, then no victory would be possible. She sat thinking about her plans for several minutes in silence. The answer would not please some, but many would be happier. "Tell the men to pull out of Kampfers, continue the war with Bosnia, and Albania, and make sure some men are positioned on our northern border."

"Yes Empress." Mannstein said. He relayed the order to withdraw knowing it would displease there almost ally. It was a move for the safety and security of the Empire.

Shakal Forces In Kampfers

General Kluge recieved the order to withdraw and scowled. Politics, always make a mess of war. He thought as the order to withdraw was spread. The Shakal troops left Kampfers and headed for Slovenia and Northern Italy. In the meantime the mobilization would continue just in case any of these ertwhile neighbors decided to take advantage of the withdrawl.

"How does it look, my friend?" Richtoff asked his trusted aide.

"Not good. Every day, new nations join the fight against us. Waldenburg has betrayed us. Shakal has left us for fear of being invaded herself. Granate is in immenent danger. And we are being invaded on all fronts."

"Such a shame. People should get to know each other before doing things like this." Richtoff walked outside. "They are beautiful, aren't they?"

"Excuse me?"

"The stars. They are beatiful tonight. And tonight, I will rest with them." Richtoff pulls a glock out of his pocket. "I have always said this is a shameful way for a man to die. But, here it is. The choice sits in front of me. And somehow, I can not bear to pick life." With that Richtoff lifted the gun and shot himself in the head. Blood splattered all over the aide. Shivering in shock, he ran and phoned General Klischten, Richtoff's best friend and technically second in command, shoudl Richtoff ever die. That was now the case. "General Klischten? Damn it, wake him up, this is urgent! A pause. General! Fuhrer Richtoff is dead!" The line goes silent. Suddenly, another shot is heard. The aide hangs up the phone. "Shit..." The aide next phones John Schindle, the political friend of Richtoff and third in line. He tells him the news, and Schindle gets to work immediately.

To whom it may concern,

Today, at 1:54 AM, the leader of Kampfers, Fuhrer Richtoff, died of a massive heart attack. It was a deep shock to us as his second in command also died in defense of his nation. Kampfers is now in shock and is recoiling from this tragic loss. As such, we can fight no more. Kampfers is putting down it's arms. I am now the official leader of Kampfers, and today I surrender to you. Do as you wish with the nation, just do not harm the innocents, I beg of you.

The pilots fighting Waldenburg fighters recieved the order to stand down, but rather than returning to base, they pointed their noses down and shot straight into the ground. Better to die today than suffer tommorow. After all, the motto of Kampfers was "Sieg oder herrlicher Tod!", and today they had acheived that glorious death.

At the news of the surrender of the nation of Kampfers, Carloginian troops move in to secure the territories of former Kampfers. The Carloginian army of the Moldovan front moved in to secure Moldova, while The army on the Bulgarian front was easily able to secure such a small Bulgaria, and then move northward to secure Hungary. The army in Romania moved northward with haste, securing city after city and putting down riots as they came. The citizens of Kampfers were treated well as each army made their way to towns.

All military ware on the fronts led by Carloginias has been taken, and the soldiers sent to Fiev to live with full soldier rations until all of Kampfers had been secure. The citizens of Kampfers perhaps thought they would be treated as people in servitude to a higher power, but they would be treated as equals within Carloginias.

The President and his cabinet had, had a meeting before the speech stating that they would let former Kampferian citizens run for offices of govenor, mayor, city councilmen, and allow them to have plenty of representation on the Carloginian Congress. A small group of men walked nervously down the cold night. They were quickly approaching the border halfway through the city. It would be easy. The outpost by the entrance was not heavily guarded, and the sentries that were there weren't too expectant of a few men prowling around during the night. Or would they?

They snuck around back in the shadows, towards the other outpost. The outpost that belonged to their country. On this side of the border, it had the faded lettering, Welcome to Shakal! as one drove on into the other country. They went up to the windows, crawling along so that they could not be seen. One of them went up for the diversion. He wore no identifying patches nor clothing. He knocked on the backdoor and one of the guards opened it.

"Two minutes," hissed another, and the rest got to work. While the man talking with the guard pretended to be lost and asking for directions, the others crept around and planted the charges. Of the 1,400 Tanks on the Shakalian border in Africa, almost 200 were in Tunis. As soon as first light was seen above the horizon, the artillery began to pound out missile after missile and shell after shell into military targets in the city. Smoke began to rise over the city, a scene of war and death. The tanks began to move in, shooting non-civilians on sight, with troops in between the tanks, taking cover, as well as providing cover and eliminating anti-tank groups. Since it was before the official declaration, the Shakalian military was a bit surprised, but soon, they would take a hold of the situation and fight back. Therefore, the Futuris war machine pushed even faster and harder, with snipers lined along the streets and infantry occupying captured buildings.

The F-16's above patrolled the skies, laying waste to the military outposts as well, and the Shakalian military.

All along the border, the same was happening. Artillery strikes, followed by tanks and planes, followed by infantry.

The army had one goal in mind- capture as much territory for Carloginias as would be possible. Their first objective in the region would be to cut of Shakalese rail lines and begin hitting any military infrastructure. The city of Majdanpek was to be bombarded 23 miles away from the city via Carpathian Romania. 23 miles away from the city 3,000 Towed 155mm/170mm guns fired at the city, aiming first for any sky scrapers, that would tumble down easily with artillery fire. Jones had little doubt the city would surrender. It was only a matter of time.

Generals Buckingham and Leibowitz were in charge of the divisions entering Hungary and Slovakia in order to instate Carloginian rule in the region. Hungary was entered via the Ukraine and Slovakia via Poland. In the city of Maripoc, Hungary, riots were out breaking in the city with civilian casualties piling up. Upon the arrival of the Carloginian force the soldiers dispersed the citizens of the city and imposed Marshall Law which would end once all former Kampferian provinces had been attained and the riots ended. 200 Soldiers were left in the city with 5 Leopard 2A6 Tanks in order to keep the peace in the city. The rest of the group was assigned to move out toward Nyiregyhaza.

The key to securing these lands was speed so the men moved quickly into the city, putting down the riots and providing aide to the sick and wounded citizens of the city. The plan was to leap frog from major city to city and provide aide until they got to Buda-Pest in which the region would be firmly under their control and then launch themselves against the Great Hungarian Plain. Orders were given out by their superior officers and the men set out again leaving the same number of troops in Nyiregyhaza as in Maripoc. Their next targets were to be Miskolck, Egar, Ezertogzm, and then to Budapest and then divide the force to deal with the plain to the south and the region to the east of them.

The Slovakian force was assigned to first start in Svidnik and then head head due east until they reached Bratislava where all of Slovakia would be under Carloginian control. The cities the soldiers visited to take Slovakia would be
Presov, Spissky Hrad, Brezno, Banska Bystriza, Bandka Stiniva, Nitra, Trnava, and finally Bratislava. The assigned would take no more then a few days to complete due to the haste of the soldiers. Carloginian President James Harselav would personally take a tour of the new territories within Carloginias once all of the rioting had been taken care of. The new age of education that would be upon the new Carloginians would be one that they had never even seen before. It would take some getting use to, but as their standard of living improved they would come to enjoy it.

The 150,000 mercenaries and their equipment began to move towards the Shakalian border at the point that their Corbournnian principles had ordered them to go to. It would take a few days since 150,000 men was a lot to move.

Port of Tunis

The 15,000 mercenaries bound for the First African Conflict now moored themselves at the Futuran port side and began their procedures. While the troops and their equipment began to disembark, three Kestrel VTOL fighters (RL Yak-141's) took off from their respective destroyers and began to fly cover for the troops. The helicopters were to assist with the cover flights as soon as the rotors were attched and they were ready to go.

Your plan for the division of both sounds excellent, and we believe that Italy should be "first come, first serve," but our troops will go no further south than the northern edge of Naples. We would indeed prefer to have Rome, but so long as you go no further than the middle of the city, we won't complain.

As for Greece, I propose that we split it up thus: the Attican peninsula to us, Grecian Thrace to Carloginias, and the Peloponese to you. The idea of a bloody mess there worries us, as it would partially negate the humongous advantage in personnel that we currently hold over Shakal. We think that Carloginias should be content with their Kampferian gains, and that we both alone should carve up Shakal, but it is just as well so long as he is happy with what we're giving him (Northern Greece, Serbia, and Croatia). Otherwise, however, I would like to propose that we support each other in a case of conflict with his massively powerful nation.

Tunis, Tunisia

Apparently, the morning surprise had been too much for the Shakalian troops. Resistance was uncoordinated and easily defeated. The Schroeder mercenaries had advanced along the coast of the city, while the Futuris army took ahold on the rest of the city. Slowly, the Shakalian menace was pushed out.

Shakalian border in Africa

The desert provided little resistance. No Shakalian aircraft were encountered, and the few villages that were taken were inhabited by poor peasants with no military or strategic value. The desert, however, provided a transportation and supply line challenge. The Futuris war machine, however big in these parts, was careful not to overextend supply lines. At each town, makeshift hospitals were made just in case and medics moved in. Storages for food and water were also made, as was shelter for troops in the event that the frontline would come back here. Bunkers were also built for important communication centers in case of a Shakalian counter-attack.

Tripoli, Libya

The 5th Fleet was close by the major oil city. No Shakalian Naval resistance had been encountered - yet. As soon as the Fleet was in range, the F-35C II's raced off the carrier and headed for the city. 12, in formation, split in half and made bombing runs on military fortifications, before joining up again. Just before turning around to go on another round, the guns of the Type 42 Destroyer opened up on coastal bunkers and anti-air sites spotted earlier by satellites. Missles, one by one, from Spruance-class destroyers rocketed up to the sky, going in a graceful arc like a fleet of arrows into the city, hitting more strategic outposts. A message was sent to the city's main hall - "You will close the port. No ship may pass - in or out - of the port. Any ship that attempts to enter or exit without our permission will be sunk."

The 4th Fleet and 6th Fleet rendev-vous'ed with the mobilized troops in Cordobia, and slowly set out in transports towards Shakal.

IC: At home, many men and women flocked to enlistment buildings to avoid the draft. In spite of this, however, the draft continued, but very few were actually forced into service.

Men in Monaco, Liechtenstein, and Slovenia were not drafted in an attempt by Leader Jean-Marie DuBois to endear himself to the citizens. The ones who did sign up there joined their fellow compatriots in boot camp, which would last two weeks. Millions of FAMAS were being produced to accompany the growth of the armed forces, and new tanks, reconnaissance vehicles, IFVs, APCs, and artillery were constantly being produced.

Elsewhere, Corbournnian troops began to cross the border into Shakalian lands. They were divided into four wings.

The Left Wing was to push into the southwestern portion of Slovenia to bring the whole of the nation into the Realm. Upper and Inner Carniola would be the first targets, followed by attacks into Goriska and Slovenia Istria, as well as the cities of Nova Gorica, Izola, Piran, and Koper. If, or rather, when, this was done, the soldiers would detour the destroyed infrastructure, and strike into Shakalian Friuli-Venezia Giulia, taking the city of Trieste.

The Left-Center Wing would flood south from Austria into South Tyrol and its capital, Trent. If left unchecked, it would continue its blitz all the way to the canals of Venice.

The Right-Center Wing would move down from Switzerland into Lombardy, aiming for the capital of Milan. Emilia-Romagna was next on this force's agenda, along with the city of Bologna.

The Right Wing would enter Piedmont and rush to Turin. Then, after that was completed, it would turn south and keep rolling onto Genoa. A small detachment from this army would be sent to the Aosta Valley.

The Air support would proceed in front of the ground forces and launch air assaults on all of the aforementioned cities, specifically searching for military installations and large groups of enemy troops, fighters, bombers, armored vehicles or artillery.

The Reconnaissance vehicles would scout out ahead of the corps, providing forewarning of any ambushes the Shakalians had cooked up.

The whole body of Corbournnian task force would move quickly out of the Alps, and begin a blitzkrieg onto the rolling Italian hills and plains. Only those in Shakalian uniform or anything directly useful to the enemy army would be destroyed, and civilian casualties were to be kept to a minimum. Only those who fought back would be killed.

Eastern Thrace

"Begin the assault!" was the order that spread across the troop lines. The two designated Fast Assault Battle Groups moved across the border, a total of 60,000 men transported by a combination of Renat IFV's, Hoefyster IFV's, RG-31 and RG-32 FAV's, Mamba 4x4's and Casspir APC's. Large numbers of Rooikat AFV's, Olifant M2's, Renat's in the Tank Killer configuration and Retekker Heavy Assault Tanks brought up the front, but were also spread within the force. The rest of the mobile army was in SAMIL trucks and moved behind the main assault force.

Tunis Harbor, Futuran Side

The 15,000 mercenaries began to follow the line of Futuran forces into the Shakalian side of the city. They really wanted to move forward to the true front lines, so a message was sent out.

OOC: About what, my numbers? I think they're pretty low. I mean, 350,000 so far. And as I said, I'm only RPing the "advance" but we're still fighting in the city,and the border is as is. Plus, there aren't any cities in that desert - if you want to RP planes coming in and stuff, you still have time. It's not like I've advanced halfway through africa.

And Candistan, once Shakal posts up the IC and I see how it is, I can tell you - right now, nobody's getting any action.

And the port...since my ships are already there, can any resistance in the form of your navy come from the outside, Shakal? Cause if they were inside the port, I would have attacked them first, and not gotten so close. You can still send your navy there, but from the outside, so it's not like "Well, I didn't tell you about the 4 Cruisers I keep in Tripoli at all times...

Or we could do some kind of battle that took place in the past with what you had, and from that (since I would probably win...) and my Fleet, a bit damaged, would have to deal with what you throw at me from Italy.

The forces sent to secure Buda-Pest and the entirety of Hungary had reached the capital of the territory and encountered semi-heavy resistance. Twenty men armed with AK-47s and ski masks fired upon the troops as they entered the city. Carloginian soldiers returned with heavy fire and killed every one of them with the exception of one man who has been sent to Warsaw in order to 'extract' questioning. Other then the initial resistance the soldiers encountered no real opposition and made their way to the palace on the 'Pest' side of the river to make their HQ. Quartering was not initiated. Carloginias wanted no pressure on their new citizens.

From their position in central Hungary they could strike into the rest of the region. The orders were issued to march with 3,000 men and 10 Tanks to be left in Buda-Pest. The rest of the army was sent to secure the rest of Hungay. 1,500 sent to west and southern Hungary each with the rest of the tank force divided. The same with trucks. The artillery was ordered to be returned to Carloginia (Russia).

The Slovakian sector of Kampfers had been a cake-walk as Carloginian forces encountered no real resistance. The people were treated well and the soldier repaired items, farmed, and were extremely helpful to all of the Slovakian citizens. The main drive to the capital was quick and easy as the country was secured under the watchful eye of Carloginias. Bratislava was the only city within Slovakia that had any real population. The soldiers there also did not commit any acts of quartering and treated the populace very well. Harselav believed that the people needed to learn to trust the governing.

The principlties of Romania and Bulgaria had been trampled on during the war. There would be little resistance there when Carloginias was ready to finish off Shakal and be able to enter Bucharest and Sofia. The Carloginian command had already begun the bombardment of Shakalese towns in the region of Serbia. In order to secure the new territory of Hungary Carloginias hereby mobilizes-

Shakal-Carloginian Border

The Carloginian artillery had been bombarding the defence positions for a while. It wasnt known when exactly the main assult would come, but the men were ready. Two divisions were being called up in addition to the 250 000 men still in the Balkans.

Shakal High Seas Fleet

The Grand Admiral ordered the entire might of the Shakal navy to gather and destroy the enemy navy as it headed deeper into the Shakal controlled seas.
The aircraft were in a state of permanent readiness and could leave the carriers as soon as the word was given. The carriers remained in the center of the fleet guarded by the other ships all ready for the decisvie battle that was expected to come.

Tunisia

The initial Futurnis attack had been sudden. The men had been caught by surprise but recovered quickly. They lacked heavy armored support, so they utilized guerilla tactics to delay the enemy armored units until help could arrive. The 200 armor in Libya would not be enough to hold back the attack without help. The men in Tunis fought on while the men in Libya gathered at Tripoli for a counterstroke. General Bock was marshalling everything he could, 150 000 men for the defence of the colony.

Northern Shakal

The Corbrunne air attack was also a suprise. Much infastructure was damaged, but the AA defences and interceptors took to the sky almost immediatly for the fight. The ground troops that were newly mobilized headed fr the new front to assist the thinly spread 350,000 regular troops as they attempted to hold back the attack. There one strength lay in armor, in total some 1900 powerful MBT were with them forming a strong backbone to the forces.

Edit: Actually, how much do you spend on military? With a 2 something trillion budget, less than half can be the government budget, and usually, about 10-20% of that is military. Because what you hvae in your factbook is, in my opinion, huge. I mean, if we're going to fight like that (meaning, a bit unrealistically) than I'm just going to edit my military numbers, since I should spend more on military than you on average. That's fine too - fighting with bigger militaries is always more fun.

Damn it, I don't want to be a realistic ass, but since I'm kind of fighting a war here, I just want itto be a somewhat levelled battlefield. Yes, Shakal, you're surrounded and outnumbered (well, should be...), which is hard to make it level - but I mean, that's really a tactical advantage we have.

The Fleets in the English Channel and near the West African coast were sent to the Mediterranean, and the new 7th Fleet began its maiden voyage to the same place too.

Im sorry to have to say this, but due to my parents recent decision to move, made only 5 minutes ago. I wont be able to maintain any sort of activity on NS until september. So I have to drop this. Im sorry, but there is nothing I can do about it.

OOC: as long as she can pay for them; why not? sure she'd have fewer of them than say Mig-21's or whatever but 600 is pretty damn reasonable considering. I mean I maintain 1345 planes that includes transport and bombers and carrier fighters but a lot of that number are F-4A Super Pheonix Fighters remember the cost to maintian is a fraction of the actuall unit cost (I went with 30% of a Per unit price)
