For decades, masked vigilantes prowled the city streets, protecting the innocent against the forces of evil. Their exploits and stories of great sacrifice and triumph were well noted. Many fought and some died to guard us from all that will corrupt society and those in it. These brave men and women who battled their own demons as well as real ones, struggle to bring peace to the streets and safety into our homes. After years of duty, the last vestages of organized crime and villany were finally dismantled, paving the way for the lowest crime rates in history. They expanded across the globe, aiding those who needed them. However, with the great enemies of justice defeated, why did society still need the Guardians? Who's to say they wouldn't use their abilities for their own gain? What would stop them from turning on society? Questions turned into demands and demands turned into action. After a storm of protests and controvesry, these masked vigilantes were outlawed by the very society they sought to protect. Some continued on their path and were arrested. Now, they are outlaws and outcasts in society. They are forced to blend in and put their crime fighting ways into the past and forget about them. Sadly, a new threat has risen and threatens the entire world. Will The Guardians take up their old ways once more? Or will the world be plunged into darkness?

The rules for the rp are simple. No masked vigilante will have any unatural powers; however, they can be in peak physical condition, highly intelligent, and have access to high technological gadgets.

There's gonna be alot of internal conflicts that the vigilants must endure, societies scewed perception of the vigilants as well as them trying to balance their life with their crime fighting life. This should be interesting.

History: Reed was born in Philadeplhia, Pennsylvania. His father was a successful businessman and mother a lawyer. Throughout his childhood, Reed lived a a normal life; however, Reed desired more adventure. He took to the outdoors, hunting, hiking and such. His skills grew with his love for the wild. He would participate in hunting expeditions across the globe from Alaska to Africa, honning his skills. When he was 19, Reed joined the marine scout snipers and found his calling. His marksmen skills, coupled with hand to hand combat and survival skills proved invaluable to the Corps. He was sent to Iraq and saw the brutality of war. His tour in Iraq changed the young man forever, altering his perception about the world and the people in it. He killed time and time again with lethal efficency. One one fateful day, his platoon came upon and Iraqi village which hid several insurgents. What followed was a massacre...one which left a scar on Reed. He left after his term of service expired. Struggling to adjust to civilian life he saw it in a different light. The world was corrupted and he wanted to do something to change it. So, he became The Hunter. He prowled the city streets of Philadelphia, fighting organized crime and drugs with great efficency. With the passing of the Henderson Act, which outlawed masked vigilantes, Reed returned to his simple life as a college professor outside Philadelphia. He is married with two children. He looks on at society as it begins to crumble again under the weight of a new wave of crime and contemplates taking up the cause once more.

Public Name: Matthias Bernstein
Criminal Name: “The Boss” or “Guild Master”

History:

Matthias originally started out as a small time Gangster in Hell’s Kitchen New York. He was well affiliated with the once powerful Westies Gang until the Guardians managed to permanently disband this once powerful criminal organization. Matthias wisely decided to get himself affiliated with the local worker unions during this time of unrest for crime and villainy. This legal and well protected position as a local Union manager eventually got him the money and power he needed to start up his own criminal fraternity once the Guardians were removed from the legal scene.

Matthias using his old connections started out small with some small time gambling, and drug trafficking rings and eventually moved his way up to Union racketeering, arms dealing, contract killing all across New York City. His Criminal organization eventually became so famous for it’s exploits in New York that they were named the Guild for their incredibly secretive ways and the sheer size of their organization. The Guild has completely managed to control almost fifty percent of Organized Crime in NYC…

Born to a wealthy family, Luke was a quiet loner for most of his life. He excelled as a student at the private Jesuit School his parents had sent him to, showing strength in both mathematics and theology.

Luke was admitted to Harvard University, where he eventually performed work in the Clay Institute of mathematics, concentrating on the works of John Nash. Some time during his graduate work, however, he experienced a massive psychological breakdown after violently murdering a colleague who had allegedly raped one of his students.

He was diagnosed as having an obsessive personality type and with paranoid schizophrenia. He escaped from the minimum security facility from where he was detained.

Six months after his disappearance, 'The Finger', a persistent and violent vigilante made his appearance in the Boston underworld. Initially, he had become a valuable asset to the authorities, publicly exposing criminals, but as time passed he became increasingly more violent.

After the passage of the Henderson Act, 'The Finger' responded wth triple homicide--murdering Damien Costello, the head of the Winter-Hill gang, Peter Costigan-Damien's FBI informant, and Vinni Boraspacci, the head of the Providence family.

He has always considered himself to be on the side of justice, but he is now classified by most authorities as a threat to the general public.

Sure, no problem. This is awesome that people are showing interest. This rp has some great potential.

During the course of the rp, I'm gonna introduce another character and everyone else can have more than one as well.

OOC: Kulikovia, can I RP as Matthias on this account, Hansia is one of my puppets but usually I prefer to use Rastorian Syndicate for crime related Rps.

OOC: Another reason why it's cool to have another character is that the old Guardians are coming to pass into history and memory and a new breed must rise to the challenge.

History: Jessica grew up in a poor neighborhood of Los Angeles. Every day her neighborhood lived in fear of gangs that fought each other for reign over the blocks. Her parents owned a store and made descent money from it. When she was a young girl, she and her older brother Tommy went to a playground after school. There was a drive-by against a rival gang in the area and Tommy caught a stray bullet, killing him instantly. Jessica was wounded by a ricoche and rushed to a hospital. During surgery, due to the loss of so much blood, she nearly died. Somehow, Jessica pulled through and recovered. She credited this turn around to an angel that visited her in her dreams that gave her strength and courage. Jessica remembered what happened and was determined to improve her life and the lives of others. In school she recieved high marks in science and engineering. Also, she became a great athlete and was the the college swim team. As she progressed through life, that fateful day remained stained in her memory. She recieved a job at Greyson Tech. A leading contractor to the US military. There, she developed several pieces of military technology. Now, she has the means to exact justice upon those who would do harm to society. She is still in the works of becoming a vigilante but will soon be ready. With technology and determination on her side, she will prevail.

History: Chris is a Alien transported from his homeworld to Earth after Their Planet was overrun by another race of Humanoid Aliens.Chris is hybrid between the Aliens and was forced into hiding after They found out bout the marriage between his father and mother.They plead with their god and granted him special Abilities who then transport him to earth after the Age of 2 after that he was took up by Child Protective Service and was given a good home Manhattan ,New york to a Aerospace Engineer and A School teacher.After he watched his cousin get gunned down after he said the wrong thing to them. he is Super Intelligent he finished College in a mere Six months of College he followed his father career as a Aerospace Engineer.he doesn't really like using is special abilities as he see them as to dangerous but will if he has too.he uses several non lethal technology.He fights crime while working at his father Aerospace Engineering firm.

History: Foxfire was gifted as a child. However, his parents were poor and lived in a bad part of down. Foxfire's father was often away, trying to make enough money to support the family. Foxfire's mother died in childbirth. Foxfire had to learn how to defend himself, taking private martial arts classes from a old man who ran a convience store. He payed by working at the store for free. One night the store was broken into. The shop owner was mortally wounded, but not before revealing that he had once been a masked "super hero" to Foxfire, who had been at the store that night. Foxfire was heartbroken, but worked harder then ever. At the age of 17, Foxfire got a scholarship to a college. He worked hard, never forgetting how hard his father had worked to get him there. He graduated at the top of his class and got a job in the police force, specificly the elite SWAT. He dropped out, though, after once he found out how corrupt the force was. Now he wanders the land, doing the occasional odd job to make money. He dosen't know what to do, and contemplates commiting suicide. Now his story begins...

If Foxfire is in New York City. He could run into some Guildsmen that are ruffling up some defenseless woman/witness. That would probably kick Foxfire out of his suicide tangent ….

History:

Black Jack or Jack Connelly is a long time friend and associate of Matthias. Black Jack was a member of the Westies Gang serving on the muscle end of their business. Matthias managed to convince Jack to join him in working in the Unions instead of getting mixed up with the Gang in a hopeless battle with the Vigilantes.

Jack at first worked in the Unions as a minor union representative, this provided him the best legal cover for his true job as Matthias’s Elite Enforcer within the union. Jack would often go from Union local to local murdering or intimidating Matthias’s internal opponents within the Union. This process made Matthias Bernstein the official president of the Worker Unions. It was during this period that Jack became known on the street as “Black Jack” for leaving a Black Jack playing card at every crime scene.

Jack Connelly is now a major union representative that often uses his skills as an Guildsmen to intimidate his opponents in management to capitulate to worker demands. This job is just his legal cover in reality, His true job has not changed much except now the Enforcer is now in charge of the Guild’s internal security. His job has often gotten him arrested and given him a rap sheet almost a mile long but thanks to his Union connections and his ties to the Guild almost every charge he gets disappears in the paperwork.

This combination of Guild protection and being associated with highly organized assassination attempts makes Jack Connelly one of the most feared men on the streets of N.Y.C.

Kulikovia: The Guild is going to send one of their number to bribe Santini, If he accepts the Guild will tell him to lay off the Regermen hit. If he refuses, they will start to plot an accident for Santini trying to not make it look like a job..

Clover was born to a woman, with no father, almost like an act of God, her mother lived on the Isle of Avalon - Clover was seen as the child of the Prophecy, however she could summon all natural elements to her power - however she did not want magic or power - so the Lady of Avalon killed her mother, she it would make Clover angry and use her powers- Clover left the Isle and went into the city, she used her powers of wind, air, earth, fire and water to help people - not to hurt or harm...

@Rastorian Syndicate, I like your character, perhaps make him a bit older. Black Jack is a cool name.

Okay Black Jack is now 35 years old, This should make him a more believable high level Enforcer/hitman character....
