OOC: If you want to offer help to United Fundamentalism, please read my reasons for attacking first. Also, United Fundamentalism, I'm gonna need a rough map of your nation.

100 miles off of United Fundamentalism waters, the First Kampferian Fleet idled. Meanwhile, the Second Kampferian Submarine Fleet moved in. It consisted of 3 Poseidon Class Submarine Carriers, 4 Nautilus Class Submarines, 8 Dolphin Class Submarines, and 9 Hunter Class Submarines. The entire group moved in. It was their jobe to clear the beaches and maintain air and naval superiority while the main fleet moved in. Suddenly, within eyeshot of the coastline, the Poseidon's surfaced. Within minutes, planes were shooting off it's deck. First to go were 20 F-19 Knights per carrier, who were to protect the bombers while they took off. Next came 30 F-88 Ghosts from each carrier. Finally, 30 F-29 Knights took off. The Ghosts and the first group of Knights began to move towards the coast, while the second group of Knights protected the subs. Next, the Nautilus subs began their attack, and their VLS Cells began to blaze. These missiles were to strike at bases farther inland, and Tomahawk missiles began firing. Their targets were any and all military installations in range, a small total, and any infastructure that would allow United Fundamentalism to reinforce their beachhead. The Ghosts reached the beach, deploying Chaff, white noise, and all other kinds of ECM's, as if their stealth suite was not enough to prevent SAM sites from locking on. They began a massive bombing run on all military installations on the beach. Luckily, this location had been chosen because it was closed to civilians, so anything and everything was available to be bombed, except for a few airstrips. These were to be left intact so that troops could be brought in easier at a later date. Thus, the hangers were bombed first, as to prevent them from using the runways.

Meanwhile, once the attack started, the Kampferian First Fleet, recently reassigned from FreeAngola, began to chug into the picture. There would be a short time before they arrived, but it should not be long enough for United Fundamentalism to strike back with any ferocity. Behind the fleet was landing craft, enough to effeciently swarm the beach, capture an airstrip, and allow for troops to move in easier.

Fuhrer Richtoff commented about the invasion the second the press confronted him about it. "Yes, we are invading United Fundamentalism." He paused to let another reporter yell out their question. "No, we will not be using any nuclear missiles, biological weapons, god-rods, etc." Once again, he waited. "Yes, I expect this war to be quick. And what are my reasons for it? We are moving to strike this nation because their current government has shown a complete lack of ability to govern itself. While the nation is standing on its own two feet, they refuse to grant certain people groups liberties. They even go to the extent of blaming them for deeds done by the government. We are moving in to remove this government which refuses to recognize these basic rights, and will be installing a new one. After which, we will grant them protectorate status, which will allow them to run their own affairs while we protect them. This nation has been under our survellience ever since it stepped onto the world scene. As such, we recently intercepted a transmission from them to a known terrorist group, the BTO. Our decrypters worked furiously on the encrypted message, and after several weeks of non-stop efforts, we were albe to discern its message. It detailed a plot to harm innocent civilians and blame it on muslims within their own nation. If this is not reason enough to remove one from power, I don't know what is."

OOC: Your a new nation, and your encryption tactics should be easily decrypted...

The crowd fell silent as Pres. Preston prepared to make his speech on the recent events. His nation was young, but he felt that in light of recent events, he had no choice. A nuclear attack on one of his allies could not be allowed to stand. The military would have to intervene.
"My fellow citizens, we are faced with a grave situation. The Holy Empire of United Fundamentalism has announced plans for a scorched-earth policy and a nuclear attack on our allies. The combination of these policies, if implemented, would undoubtedly result in the extinction of that nation. It is for that reason that we release the following statement"

The Republic of Central Prestonia condemns the actions of United Fundamentalism. In light of this threat, the Prestonian military is hereby ordered to DEFCON 2. We are hardly like you. I insults us to be called so. While we do have a president-for-life, or fuhrer, we also have a parliment. Our people are all granted the base rights, no matter what their race or religion. I hardly see the similarities.

The Imperial Kingdom after retiring from previous engagements has redirected our third battle group to assist Kampfers in their invasion of United Fundamentalism, Also en route are 20,000 imperial marines with armor support. We will be honored to fight along side our NPE allies. A small group of four planes soared overhead some 16,000 meters two of the planes were GL-113 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10973722&postcount=1491) bombers the other two were LU-45 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9708782&postcount=533) fighters providing escort..their target the capital city of United Fundamentalism..they city would soon be within the bomber sights..the bomb bay doors opened as the planes prepared to drop their 200,000kg worth of payloads of incendiary and high explosive ordnance..civilian casualties would no doubt be high but it was message that had to be delivered.

The President sat in his office, waiting for the first reports. The strategic bombing had commenced on the Unted Fundamentalism capital, with results as of yet unknown. Seeing this as his signal, he had ordered the army to advance towards the capital, hoping to mop up whatever was left of the enemy after the bombing raid. Just then, he heard a knock on the door. "Come in," he said. "Mr. President, the Joint Cheifs of Staff are in the breifing room, they're ready to read the first report." "Finally, I've been sleepless over how the army's been doing." "We al have sir, we all have," replied the aide.

The breifing room had a tense air about it as the Secretary of Defense started his report. "The situation isn't bad, but it isn't good either. The offensive has stalled 20km outside the capital, and we've sustianed 25,000 dead, wounded, or missing. The longer we're held down the more casualties we'll take. Do you have any recommendations?" "Actually, I do," replied the President. "For the next week, I want round-the-clock shelling of the UF lines. We'll keep their heads down long enough for us to regroup and push into the capital." Do you think it will work, sir?," one general asked. "I don't know, but it's the best chance we've got. At the very least we'll take out some front-line units and level the playing field a bit."

OOC: Look, when this is all over, since I took point on it, I will tell you who gets what. So dont just jump in and say "oh im sending soldiers", in hopes of getting part of a nation. In my occupation post war I am going to set it up so he has every chance to succeed, and you people cant ro his nation of everything. Got it?

Take away, say about 70 million of those troops at least and you have a more favourable size - unless your a full military nation armed with sticks.

OOC: One of the other reasons I joined in this conflict was as a means to form alliances with Kampfers and their allies. I'm a new nation and I wanted to make myself known.

I am not going to send soldiers actually, but I may send peacekeepers after the conflict ends.

OOC: Oops! When I was typing it up, I meant to make my army about 1/300 of my population (like the US Army), which is about 237,000 troops. I was going to sent 1/10 of that. So it would be 1/3000 of my population. I must have been sleepy when I typed it (it was late, around midnight). I edited the message so that it is 1/10 of my army. I'm sorry for any inconvenience. But, please do consider my proposal. I just began playing, so I just wanted a little action. I don't care if I get anything at the end...just wanted to have some fun with NationStates. IC: The President of The Fifth Dynasty sat quietly reading the daily paper. Suddenly, the Minister of Defense slammed the door open and rushed in. The President, startled, sprank from his seat and nearly fell. After gaining his composure back, he asked what the matter was in frustration. The minister replied, "Sorry sir, but do you remember the telegram you sent to the nation of Kampfers last week?" "Yes, did they reply?" "Not yet sir, but while reviewing a copy of the telegram you sent, I caught an error." "An error? An error made by ME?", the president retorted. "Yes, sir. Silence fell in the room for the next few moment. "Damn it!!! It must be all the caffeine the kitchen staff's been slipping in my coffee...Damn!" The president sighed and sat back down in his seat. After calming himself down, he quietly replied, "Fine, tell Kamfers that the President made a mistake, but assure them that we're 100% behind them." The president got up and walked toward the window and stared out for a few seconds with his hands in his pockets. "Fine, tell them that we are willing to not lay claims to any land that the alliance gains after the war. And also," the president quickly turned around to face the minister, "tell them we'll also offer 2 BB-64 Iowa-class battleships." "Two?" the minister asked in anger and surprise, "But we only have four of them in service." "I know, that's why we'll be reducing the number of troops from 26,000 to 24,000. Happy?" the president replied in frustration. "Yes sir. I'll send it this afternoon." The minister quietly walked out of the room. The president turned around to face the window again. After staring our for a few minutes, he went back to his seat and picked up the newspaper. Catching a glimpse of the cup of coffee he had that morning, he got back up, took the cup, and walked toward the garbage bin. He smirked, looked inside the cup, dropped it in the bin, and whispered, "Damn."

Since I am a member of the SWC, who has freed nations for years, we were wondering if we could buy a chunk of United Fundamentalism, a significant chunk, and apply our democratic system there. Of course I have an ulterior motive, that is that with more than 5 billion people, I'm running out of places to put them all. I'm sure I could support a few hundred million in United Fundamentalism.

The Holy Empire is concerned about the conflct in United Fundamentalism, and wish to know what the invaders plans will be upon victory. Is this a war to liberate the UF people, or conquer them? The Holy Empire will lend whatever aid it can as long as:

1. No invaders will keep any land that they take
2. An independant democracy will be set up in place of the current UF government.
3. The invaders shall establish no permanent presence within United Fundamentalism
4. The UF will continue to exist as a sovereing and indepenant nation.

I await confirmation or denial as to whether these suggestions will be heeded.

ooc: Its been like a day and a half or so now..so I'm going to assume you're capital just got hit with 400,000 kilograms worth of incendiary and high explosive bombs..which needless to say you no longer have a capital city UF..compliments of the Imperial Kingdom..;)

The Republic of Central Prestonia hereby withdraws it's troops from the region. If needed, however, we are prepared to send a peacekeeping force in to help stabilize the nation until it gets back on it's feet.

The People's Sovereign Republic of British Londinium hereby condemns Kampfers for their invasion of United Fundamentalism. Regardless of any oppression that may be occurring within UF's borders, it is a blatant violation of their sovereignty to invade. Indeed, we have been victims of an invasion launched out of "concern for political and human rights", only to be further oppressed. As such, British Londinium is suspending trade of petroleum to all nations taking offensive action towards UF.

Furthermore, I urge that Lord Sumguy reconsider his offer of aid, noting the presence of a large Londinian military garrison near his capital.
